Itinerary
However many days you’re spending in the Crescent City, there’s no better way to start your visit than with the ultimate local food tour. Walk and eat your way through the streets of the French Quarter and visit Jackson Square in the heart of the city while your foodie guide entertains you with fun facts and points out famous sights.
Visit 5 tasting locations in the historic French Quarter during this tour. All food tastings (more than enough for lunch) are included in the ticket price. The 5 stops you'll make are:
• Tujague’s – This restaurant was previously a Spanish armory before it started slinging classic Creole dishes in an elegant setting famous for its rich history and delicious food. Come taste delicious red beans and rice, a NOLA favorite.
• Laura’s Pralines and Candies – New Orleans' oldest candy store, Laura’s, makes delicious Creole pralines and hand-made chocolates fresh daily in their French Quarter kitchen with recipes that date back to the 18th century. Laura’s also features Laura’s Creole and Cajun gourmet items for a taste of authentic New Orleans.
• Little Vic’s Rosticerria – Stop here to enjoy a traditional Muffaletta sandwich on homemade bread. Escape the noise and crowds of Bourbon Street by taking a short walk down to 719 Toulouse Street and experience a beautiful and peaceful Creole courtyard.
• Croissant D’Or Patisserie – This bakery, located in the heart of the French Quarter, has been serving New Orleans’ finest authentic French pastries for nearly thirty years.
• Nola Po-Boy – Nola's is a local favorite in the French Quarter dishing out some of the best seafood and po' boys in New Orleans. A hot roast beef po' boy, fully dressed, awaits you here.
• Cafe Fleur De Lis – Located in the historic French Market, Cafe Fleur De Lis is offering a great example of southern cooking experience. Get ready for a taste bud delight of shrimp and cheese grits.
Fill up on some of the classic tastes of the Big Easy. The lunch bell ringeth!

We had the best experience with Kim during our walk g tour! We tried restaurants at we haven’t been to before and the food was amazing. Jim was very knowledgeable about the food, the area and the history of New Orleans. I would book this trip over and over again!
Roger was an amazing guide and very informative. He worked the tour around our interests and gave so much historical information. If you get the chance, book this tour!
Roger was extremely difficult to hear, seemed to get distracted and confused, we learned next to nothing about food, but heard history lessons. The food served was your basics which we had all tried on our own by day 1. We were hoping to be exposed to a better variation and higher quality of food. Overall was okay, would not suggest unless it’s maybe your first thing right when you arrive, did not get the value out of it as we’d hoped.
Roger was very good on this tour. History of the city and food
Had a great time and wonderful history
The restaurants in the list were ok. Would like to have more tasty food. Like Peche restaurant.
Charles was a very informative and knowledgeable guide. He provided great insight on the French Quarter, Bourbon street and all the food and drinks we were able to sample. Excellent tour would recommend to all.
My daughter and I had a great time with Linda! She was very knowledgeable about the food and all the different spots in the French Quarter. She also shared a lot of interesting history about the area, dating back to the 1700s. The food was delicious, and the portions were very filling. We had a wonderful experience and really enjoyed the tour!!!
Everything was awesome! Guide was very knowledgeable of NOLA & we had a great time. The group was a lot of fun also.
Reagan was very informative! You could tell she had an interest in food. It was easy walking & the restaurants were very accommodating & friendly.
Charles our tour guide was so awesome! You must request him! Food was great and drinks were great but his knowledge of the city, food and people’s. Made the tour 10 times more fun!
Leslie was fantastic she is absolutely lovely and it was pure joy to be with her all afternoon!!

The guide Richard was friendly, knowledgeable, funny and kind. The size of our group was perfect at 7. Each restaurants food was amazing. I truly appreciate their participation. I would recommend this tour!
Gisele was an excellent guide and gave us a lot of historical background to New Orleans and the dishes we sampled.
We had an amazing experience on this food tour. Charles was one of the best guides. He had a wealth of knowledge about the city and food. I learned so much and appreciated the experience. The food was delicious and the portions were huge. Sadly I was not able to finish any of it. Definitely not exaggerating when they say come hungry! Highly recommend this tour and guide.
Reagan was an excellent tour guide. Very knowledgeable of the area and history on New Orleans as well as the food culture. Great pacing, didn’t feel rushed and were able to enjoy sites in the French Quarter as we walked from restaurant to restaurant! Highly recommend! Reagan also was able to recommend numerous other restaurants as well as things to do in the French Quarter with our time!
Charles, our tour guide, did an amazing job! Was a blast!
I had such a fun time!! Kim was an amazing tour guide!
The French Quarter Walking Food tour was delightful! Chef Kim was charming, informative and the food was delicious. I loved all the history he shared and suggestions of other places to visit as we perused the area...great fun. It was the first time I've ever done a food tour and I highly recommend it!

What a great way to learn some history and enjoy local cuisine that New Orleans is famous for. Our guide Charles was very knowledgeable and entertaining. If you’re considering doing a food tour do this one! Worth it!

Awesome tour. The guide was really knowledgeable.
Robert was exceptional at showing us all the restaurants and the history behind the food.
Roger was stellar. It was our first full day in New Orleans and would highly recommend to anyone staying near the French Quarter who likes an active experience. The food was great!
Loved this food tour. Kim is a great tour guide and a wealth of knowledge. Very personable guide too.
Trish was a great tour guide loved her stories! Very personable and made us all feel very comfortable. Loved hearing where the food originated and a little history from New Orleans. We would highly recommend!
Excellent tour! Our guide was very knowledgeable of the French Quarter’s history. This was our first tour of our stay. Not only were we oriented to the French Quarter’s but our guide’s knowledge of architecture and history of the area gave a us a better appreciation of Louisiana place in history. Great meeting place-Cafe Beignet. So had breakfast, our first ever beignet and an OUTSTANDING tour.
Kimberly was fabulous! My friends and I had a great time. The food was great, and the history lessen imparted by Kimberly even better.
One planned destination on itinerary we were told is not open on Tuesday? Substituted. Two stops were good the rest underwhelming. Guide was knowledgeable but hard to hear around street noise. Good but not great. Did not meet the level of the reviews on Trip Advisor. One location we had delish gumbo but were shown great oysters as a “demonstration”. Then told we could return and get 10% off.
It was a nice walk. Roger was very informative, however I couldn’t hear him very well. Needs to speak up.
Roger was great! He had so much local knowledge & took us to restaurants with great food. Worth every calorie!
Robert was well versed with food history and origins.
Generous portions on this food tour, no seafood, very palatable for someone who does not like much spice. Eight people in our tour, stops were not busy, most restaurants were empty. It was a midweek, 3 PM tour so I’m sure that played a role, but also makes me think the stops were not super popular, but again, no complaints on the food. Did get good food history and how different cultures influenced the food sampled, but lacked on overall French Quarter building/architecture info if you are trying to get a 2-in-1 tour.
Robert, our tour guide was fun and informative. It was a great experience and highly recommended. Everything was delicious.
Our tour guide Lyndel was great. Really friendly and helpful
Charles Duffy as our tour guide was very knowledgeable and personable. Highly recommended. Come hungry as food tastes are delicious and large.
Reagan was a great guide whose local knowledge enhanced the tour.
The tour was a wonderful way to experience the variety of New Orleans food while learning the history of the city and the dishes that were sampled. All of the food was very good. Charles was an excellent guide with great knowledge and ability to explain clearly. Overall, we are very satisfied with our tour experience!
Roger was an exceptional host. Knowledgeable, funny and focused on making the tour meaningful for all of us
