Glen was an absolutely fantastic host and has so much incredible historical knowledge of New Orleans. Was fun but also respectful of the real people involved in the legends. Fabulous tour

We went on the adult tour. The guide was okay. But just okay (I-couldn’t-remember-his-name okay). It was LONG—2 hours on a very warm, muggy night.
Good activity for our first evening. We were able to visit many spots and learn a lot history of the city … we enjoyed ourselves time and Val did a nice job and very knowledgeable
our tour guide was Val & she certainly knew her stuff. She answered all our questions about the ghosts & her knowledge of the local history was amazing.
The tour guide was great. The QR codes given for the interactive aspect of the tour don't work with Android and don't work well with IOS. Even without the "interactive" aspect, the tour was still a great time. The guide really gave "flavor" to the spooky history of NOLA.
Very educational and interesting ghost tour of the French Quarter. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and an excellent storyteller. The augmented reality feature was interesting but had some hiccups. I do appreciate having it to add to the experience. It was definitely worth the price!
Not scary. Boring. They bill this as interactive but it’s 2010 technology interactive. If you download their app then there is a third grade drawn figure that ends up in your photo. Left half way through. Btw we were there on Halloween so everywhere was decorated and lots of costumes and still lame.
Great experience and tour guide! I Highly recommend tourists take this tour at the beginning of their trip to get acquainted with the French Quarter and the city in general (our tour guide had coupons and tons of information also)
We obviously did not expect seeing ghosts. Honestly I did not know what to expect. However, it turned into amazing history lessons filled with stories and legends. I see a lot of bad reviews and how people dropped out inthe middle or how swamp is better. First of all it cannot be compared to swamp as it's two completely different experiences. This tour is one of those where a lot depends on tour guide. Ours (believe her name was Val) was absolutely amazing. Despite scorching heat we truly enjoyed the legends and story telling while learning a lot of history of French quarter. I enjoyed it more than cemetery course which was just too mystic and overexagurated for my taste. My wife and our teenaged kids loved it.
This was my granddaughter's pick. She likes scary stories, and this walking tour was full of some great stories! I wish they sold a book to take home to retell all these stories because they would be great to tell around a campfire. Our tour guide, Kim, was funny, knowledgeable, and patient. She answered all of my granddaughter's questions.
Robi was amazing. I learned about more then the ghost and he answered all of my daughters questions. She usually has a lot.
I would give this a 3 out of 5. We walked by so pretty interesting history locations but the history and lure of the city was missing at times. We met some pretty cool people on the tour that made the experience better. Love the city, which made for the average experience.
Kim's experience and professionalism along with her authenticity and engaging spirit made for an enjoyable experience. This tour is not for encountering the spirits but rather for understanding the lore of the city. Well done.
I hate leaving poor reviews, but occasionally it is necessary to instigate improvement. This visit was June 8th, 2024, and I was taking a friend to NOLA for the first time. I have used many services for ghost tours in the area, and like many tours, the guide makes all the difference. Sadly, ours was losing her voice. She couldn’t project more than about 5 feet, and so you couldn’t hear her. This might have been okay if it was a small tour. In fact, when I booked the tour, it said the cap on participants was 14 when most allow 28. Well, that was blatant false advertising. There were 26 in our group. My friend is a technophile, and this tour advertised augmented reality. Well, when the tour started, the guide said it doesn’t work well with android phones. He downloaded an app, and got it to work. You have to scan a QR code at each stop….with 28 people trying at once. Then the images were worthy of an 80s zombie movie, his words. There will always be hiccups when experimenting with new technology, and I absolutely give the tour company props for trying. Sadly, this was not ready for deployment. We gave up and disappeared down an alley off Jackson Square to find our own ghosts.
This tour was a waste of money. The tour guide over exaggerated during all of the stories, which took away from what could have been a great history lesson and a great tour of the city. Very disappointed. We ended up leaving because it was so bad.
Worst NOLA experience of the stay. The tour guide was difficult to listen to and the tour was exceptionally boring. After over an hour of traipsing around trying to engage I left the tour and went and got a fabulous dinner! This is a city rich in history, culture and legend. It doesn’t need the plastic vampire teeth sensationalism. Not does it need the tour guide maligning other tour companies. I feel cheated out of the chance to hear the legends and history of the city. Also, if you’re an international visitor, the AR is unlikely to work on your device.
Unbelievable waste of time and money! Main points: -Disorganized start -Couldn't hear -Bad storytelling -Bar stop smelled like a cat litter box -AR didn't work Started with a wildly disorganized and LOOONG role call during which no excitement or atmosphere was built. They tried to split us up based on whose name they already called, then seemed confused when we didn't want to go on different tours than our friends/family (???). Our guide, Lesley, seemed kind but I get the impression this company or her manager did not set these employees up well. did not draw me in at all. She didn't have a mic and did not project her voice, so we couldn't hear unless right in front of her AND she was facing you AND the was no other noise. In NOLA. She didn't seem to know that when she turned her head away to point at something while speaking , we couldn't hear her. Storytelling was flat, like hearing about a co-workers weekend. Bad set ups, no suspense.... Nothing to draw you in. Random side points that never went anywhere. Zero attempt at dramatic emphasis. I was not drawn in at all (and I was buzzed and ready for it!). At one point we stopped in a parking lot with high walls and cars all around us, where we were told to look at some high windows that were inside a courtyard, but we couldn't see anything else but 2 windows while we hung out next to the grill of a box truck for 15 minutes listening to a meh story about a courtyard we couldn't see. Ghost stuff was mostly her telling us "there are cold spots and orbs" but didn't tell us what she meant by that or why it mattered. She kept saying she's "read a lot of books" and "these things have been documented" (which is nothing when it's "someone wrote it down"). She forgot to prompt us for the augmented reality app thing until half way through, and it didn't work well anyway. I saw it working on one person's phone for a minute. It wasn't worth the trouble. At one point, we stopped at a bar that smelled HORRIBLY of a cat litter box (like... SO BAD) and was not ready for us with only one bartender. This took so long. YIKES. I left the tour early with my friend, and at least 2 others did too.
The guide was a good storyteller and very engaging. However, despite being there 25 minutes before the start time as requested, check in took way too long and the tour started almost 15 minutes late, which just made me feel like I wasted a lot of time that could have been doing other things. They seem to love the AR aspect of the tour, which personally I feel could just be skipped. Cut 15-20 minutes off the tour and not waste time on phones would be my preference.
Worst tour ever. Terrible guide. Incoherent, all over the place and not worth it. Waste of 2 hours not good at all. Would not recommend
This tour was certainly not worth my money. First we departed 20 minutes late with 28 people (advertises a max of 17). Then the guide would walk past an alleyway, casually point it out (majority of people could not hear her without a microphone and the bustling of downtown), and ask the group to assemble in a parking lot to hear a story about the alleyway you may or may not have noticed on your walk. We did not “peak inside museums or mansions” as advertised. The worst part of all was that the guide walked us all through the French Quarter and simply ended the tour in the middle of nowhere. We were not walked back to the starting point (which was almost a mile away) at 9PM. We were expected to find our own way back. As a young female new to this city traveling alone - PLUS having just been told about the number of serial killers in New Orleans definitely did not make me feel safe going back to my hotel alone. Was very surprised and certainly disappointed.
The tour seemed disorganized on behalf of the vendor as they appeared to not have enough tour guides for the size of the group that was booked. It took a half hour to get everyone checked in too. The tour company should have been better prepared! Our tour guide was a good story teller, but she was not one who was used by the company frequently and missed a few of the stops that they indicated in the description and didn't take us back to the beginning and left us in the French Quarter in the middle of the block and pointed us back to Jackson Square. This was a little unnerving as we thought that we would return to where we began, and it was already dark.
Had a wonderful waking tour with Robi. He was knowledgeable about the history and added his dramatic approach to the tour. Highly recommend it.
This tour was incredibly disappointing, both due to the guide and the content. It was so poorly executed that we left after just 20 minutes. Initially, we were taken to a location to look around briefly, followed by standing in a noisy parking lot where honking and pedestrian traffic drowned out the guide's story. Her content was also problematic—she shared false stories about her experiences in New Orleans and frequently contradicted herself. We were very upset because we had read good reviews and this was a terrible tour.
The Ghost tour was a little disappointing. Kim is a nice gal - but she is too "jolly" for ghost stories. They could have been told in a more somber, scary manner. My daughter and I didn't care for the AI phone stuff either - just gimmicky. The stories were interesting if you could get around the presentation.
Our guide Tim was wonderful and my family and I had a great time on this tour! Tim was very knowledgeable regarding the locations, stories and history of each location. He was engaging with the content, accommodating for my parents (who move a little slower), and was FUN to follow around. I highly recommend both this tour and Tim for a great ghosts tour around the Quarter! *side note: many locations on the tour are current places of business and are therefore not available for tours to barge through. This was well-explained at the beginning of the tour. Five Stars!!! Thank you, Tim!
Latoya Gave a great tour with lots of historical information and facts. I previously did a ghost tour here in New Orleans and this this was much better.
The best tour. The guide (Kim) was really nice and so immersed in the part, to have spent 2 pleasant hours. Augmented reality was nice, sometimes it didn’t work great.
The guide guy speak a very very very fast English that just Americans could understand. If you are not an American person, don’t take it!
From the start, it was clear that our guide was intoxicated. She couldn’t read our names on her phone so she had us find our names to check ourselves in. She was slurring and repeating the same things (over and over and over), which weren’t even relevant to the tour. Literally hitting cars she thought were in our way and calling drivers a-holes. Half yelling and half slurring stories that she couldn’t seem to stay on script with. We didn’t see anything interesting or get any real history of the locations we stuck around for. The AR was like a cheesy version of Pokemon go, not worth advertising or spending as much time as we did getting it setup for everyone on our tour. By the halfway point, half of our group had left but the guide didn’t seem to notice. We gave it awhile to see if it would get better, but we dipped out early too.
This was a terrible tour, partly because of the guide and partly the content. We simply walked from place to place and stood there on the sidewalk while the tour guide talked at us. We did not go into any interesting places and the augmented reality feature was complex, confusing and not particularly interesting either. Our guide had an irritating voice and wore fake vampire teeth that made her talk strangely. It was also so loud we couldn't hear most of what she said. Finally, she did not take us back to where we started but left us in the French Quarter on a crazy Mardi Gras night.
Robert was a great guide, funny and informative. He was super helpful and made sure everyone had a good time. I didn't think the virtual reality thing added much to be honest, but it didn't cost too much time.
Robi was amazing. I’ve never had so much fun learning about history and such rich culture and fun stories to hear all at the same time. 10/10 recommend.
Robi was our guide, he was friendly, charismatic, and informative. I enjoyed the history and the theatrics in which he told the tales of New Orleans.
Robi was an excellent storyteller! He even kept my teenage son engaged the entire time. The augmented reality was a unique addition.
Robi was a great guide. Extremely informative and interesting walk. Told us a lot about the history of New Orleans and its hauntings.
Kim was our tour guide during this walking tour and was incredibly knowledgeable! She made it more dynamic and entertaining!
Our tour guide was incredible! Bob S was wonderful and I would do it all over again! The walk wasn’t bad at all and Bob made us feel safe and was very attentive. You won’t be disappointed!
Kim was our tour guide and she made this experience awesome! I hope you get the opportunity to explore the spooky history this tour covers. Many laughs, great interactions, and even included technology capabilities to bring the stories to life. I hope you get Kim when you visit.
Had a great time with our guide Kim. She is very knowledgeable and a great storyteller. It was great getting to hear some of the spooky stories of New Orleans.
The tour was fun and the guide was very lighthearted and enjoyable. The only problem we ran into was that for the Augmented Reality to work you need an iPhone. This was not disclosed in the description either. My wife and I have Android. The tour guide also did not have an iPhone so we could not take advantage of the AR. Other than that, the tour was very informative.
Kim was a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. We enjoyed her energy and confidence as she brought the city to life with her stories.
Angel our tour guide did an amazing job! Helping us to get hydrated and provided us with great stories/ history please do remember to dress accordingly to the weather because it’s extremely hot
Lesley was a wonderful host on our ghost tour! She was super informative about the history of New Orleans, and her stories of the different casualties that brought about the haintings were mesmerizing! 10 out of 10 would go again! BTW, we captured something on our camera!
Kim was great - enthusiastic and unflagging despite the heat and humidity! Fun way to learn some history and see the French Quarter.
Lesley was amazing & very informative 👏 👌 👍. She had answers to all questions that were asked. Explained everything in great detail.
Lesley was an awesome tour guide! She is very knowledgeable about the city and all the haunts surrounding it. Would definitely take another tour with her!
Cool stories about the haunted history of New Orleans. Tour guide was Kim. She was very enthusiastic and informative
I enjoyed the tour! It was fun and informative. Amy, who was our tour guide, was very nice and did a great job. She walked you carefully through the busy streets and seemed friendly to other people outside of the tour group. She definitely new tons of the people in the area, because she would wave and say hi to people she knew. She was funny, to me at least, and kept your attention. She waited for the group and made sure everyone was together since it was a walking tour. She spoke loudly so everyone could hear. I would definitely recommend the tour to friends and family! Some tips that I do recommend is a comfortable pair of shoes and one of those fans that go around your neck. It was really hot when I went and I don’t sweat easily, but I was drenched an hour in. You are standing up most of the time except for 15 minutes out of the 2 hours when you can sit on stairs here and there, so good shoes are important!
We loved our ghost tour through New Orleans! Thanks for the experience. We will definitely book with Grayline again.
Bob S. Was our guide wonderful. My grandchildren came with me and they really enjoyed learning the some of the history on New Orleans. Mot really a ghost tour maybe it can be remained.
