It was a fantastic food tour with our very knowledgeable, friendly, and fun host Raffle. 10/10 Would highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to try all the different flavors and seasonings of New Orleans!

Great way to sample local foods and learn about the culture and history of New Orleans. And it was just long enough
Went to 3 restaurants taste samples of the type of food served in New Orleans. Samples were good except some of the rice served was not fully cooked. Our tour guide was excellent funny at times when explaining how the types of food are prepared; however, was a bit lengthy in his presentation. Overall a good tour
Our tour guide Raffle was very personable and knowledgeable. Loved his stories and how he explained the recipes. The food was excellent except redundant in the ingredients (rice with everything). Serving sizes were very small. Need options for different dietary restrictions.
A must do to experience the NOLA food culture! Raffle was excellent. His knowledge surpassed our expectations!
It’s was an awesome experience tasting a combo of seafood and other Nawlins specialties in three different locations. A great insight into the cultural and historical evolution of Nawlins culinary traditions.
The walking tour was an excellent way to see this part of the French quarter and get acquainted with food in New Orleans.
Our Guide could not have been better, I believe it was Raffle or Pit Bull Could have been the same person. He was amazing. Funny, knowledgeable, personable and completely right for this job. I would book with him 100 times over. I will say I thought we were getting a few more samples. ALL of the samples we did get were out of this world I just read the description as getting more. So that was my only critique I wanted more.
Only 3 places were visited, for a total of 4 samples. Portions are small, but all were very good. Walking was easy as places were close to each other. Guide, Don, was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Would like to see more stops and a sandwich and dessert option.
Don was very passionate about food and knowledgeable. All the food was delicious that we sampled and we got some good ideas of where to eat at on our stay here.
Raffle was our tour guide and is a local very knowledgeable about New Orleans history! He picked great food stops with great food
Food was great. Small samples but great experience. Our guide was knowledgeable of the history of New Orleans and the food cultures.
Raffle was an amazing guide and very knowledgeable of the locations, the food, and the history. Highly recommend
Do this early in your stay in NOLA so you will know all about the food and where to go eat the best! Our guide was born and raised in NOLA and also does other tours. He knows everything about everything. Really enjoyed this.
We had the best guide, Brandon! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, great personality. All the places we visited were welcoming and friendly. All the food was delicious!
It was actually fun and very interesting. Our guide was very knowledgeable . He knew food history, New Orleans history and shared quick stories about his childhood as pertaining to food. The samples were delicious. My sister was full afterward, but it only made me want to eat a real portion. According to our guide, eat seafood before Friday so you don't have to fight the crowds of locals. MAMBO, NOLA COOKERY, OCEANA
This was a wonderful experience! Raffle is so enthusiastic and entertaining! I recommend everyone do this!
Pretty decent tour for the money. Our tour guy was very knowledgeable. He spent every single second providing the history and sometimes his own personal experience during the tour. We tasted 4 small separate food samples (Crawfish ettoufe chicken & sausage jambalaya, seafood, gumbo) consistent of rice, beans, crawfish type dishes (very filling) to fulfilled, your hunger.
Great experience to do and love the history about the food and learning about other restaurants history and walking around leaning new things about new orleans.
The tour guide we had was Donald and he only does one Tuesday tour! He was great! Turns out it us sponsored by the restraunts you go too. A little disappointing. The portion sizes were very small relatively speaking but over all a good time!
The ratio of talking to eating is quite high. We tried four classic dishes: jambalaya, seafood gumbo, crawfish etouffee, and red beans and rice. All very good. We got an extra 20-30 minutes of history on desserts but didn't try any. By that time it was muggy, we all had to pee, and we were ready to go. Don was great, friendly and knowledgeable, but a little less talking and a little more food would be ideal.
Raffle was absolutely amazing! I would take any tour if he is the tour guide. Best choice by far, it is obvious he loves this city and loves to share it's history.
The experience was a pleasant addition to a very busy schedule. Raffle did an amazing job and I would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a break from such an overwhelming town like new orleans.
This tour was worth every penny and then some. The true value is from the guide Raffle. He was amazing and a wealth of knowledge.
Dan, a lifelong native with an excellent choice of foods shared his history and found the best places to try favorites of the city. He was knowledgable and managed the tour easily despite some young adults traveling with their mothers making it clear that they wanted to be somewhere else. (They missed out)). We went back to one of the restaurants (probably two after this evening) because the food and recommendations were right on.
This was a must do in the city to hit up spots that have some GREAT food. Our tour guide Raffle was DA BOMB! He was knowledgable and entertaining. I would have loved to do more tours with him!! I loved being able to try samples of the food before going out and ordering a dish I didn't know I would like.
Honestly, It was not worth it, like at all. We went to two different restaurants. One fo them, we had four small sample tastings. In the second, we had one tasting of something we already tasted in the first restaurant. Although the historical stories were great to hear, there many foods that were being discussed, including desserts that we NEVER tasted. It made absolutely no sense to tell me the history of all this food that I am not tasting on a tasting tour. I am sorry but it felt very much like wasted money. I would not recommend this tour.
Raffle was very knowledgeable about the history of New Orleans and it's food. He shared a lot of good stories about the area and gave us food recommendations for local businesses. He was funny and energetic. This tour is worth it.
Another great experience with the energetic Raffle as our tour guide of the flavors of New Orleans. This was great because we got to taste food I would not have ordered on the menu. It was a good snack before dinner.
The food was very good! The tour guide was very knowledgeable. He knew a lot about food preparation. The length was perfect!
Good food. Guide very knowledgeable and fun to listen too. Great personality. Thank you very much We had fun
Great tour guide. Raffle was very knowledgeable of food and New Orleans. He had entertaining stories.
Raffle was an excellent guide! Not only did he explain the history of food dishes in New Orleans but tons of overall city history. The restaurants we went to provided excellent samples of dishes, excellent service and were all very clean. We plan to try full meals at some of them. Highly recommend
Great tour. We learned a lot from our guide. Raffle is a native to the area and super knowledgeable. He is also well known in town as so many people on the street addressed him by name.
Raffle was a great guide, very knowledgeable and funny! He shared so much interesting things about New Orleans, made me want to come back! I’d highly recommend this tour!
He was very informative and a great guide! We really liked all the food and for a short time it was well worth it ☺️
Great intro to New Orleans cuisine. Our guide Raffle was fantastic and provided lots of insight into cooking the dishes we tried, all of which were delicious.
There is great selection of New Orleans food to try! We loved hearing about the culture and food. We would do again!
This walking tour is worth every penny. It’s the perfect blend of a history lesson and a culinary feast. We visited three locations and sampled five iconic dishes: Seafood Gumbo, Sausage Jambalaya, Crawfish Étouffée, and Red Beans and Rice. Donald, our guide, was phenomenal. He made the history of NOLA gastronomy come alive and did a great job explaining the cultural differences between Cajun and Creole traditions, while providing his point of view from his own cooking experience. The pace of the walk was perfect, and the food portions were generous. If you want to understand the 'why' behind the food in this city, book this tour!
The tour guide (Donald) was wonderful and taught us so much about New Orleans food. We just were disappointed that we only got to try 4 things in 3 hours, not even a dessert. the description of the food tour and sample menu were misleading. Very informative, very yummy what we did try, wish it included more of the actual food!
Great tour. Our guide, Donald, was very knowledgable and passionate about the various New Orleans traditional foods. Good choices of restaurants and food selections.
Good info from local New Orleans guide. Answered questions about cultural background as well as food
You are tasting some great cuisine and learning about the origins of these dishes! There is some walking on this tour but not as much as others. The sidewalks are tricky at times!
What an experience! Such a great experience. Rich history and delicious food. I loved the red beans and rice. The etoufee was also tasty.
Had one of the best food tours we've ever had with Raffle. We have gone on a food tour in every city we've visited and we've been to 30+. This one was wonderful! Raffle is a local with tons of facts that we learned along the way. We had a group from 9 to 41 and everyone was entertained!
We did the 2 hr tour and Raffle was a great tour guide! He was friendly and welcoming, the tour was entertaining. He was and clear and prepared so I trusted him and felt secure following him through unknown streets. We enjoyed the personal stories and he gave great info on the city as well as the food. His longevity in the city showed and added a level to the tour. Tour was well paced—not rushed, not slow. We enjoyed all the food and it was a great practical way to try many local dishes from reliable sources. (We had jambalaya, gumbo, etouffe, red beans and rice) Raffle gave us some good recommendations other activities and food we didn’t get to sample Overall worth the money and would recommend to friends who are interested in the food as well as history of French quarter and New Orleans.
Couldn't have asked for a better tour guide. Raffel was fun and informative. We stopped at three different restaurants and sampled some wonderful food while learning about the local cuisine. Highly recommend it.
Our tour guide Raffle was a great resource, he very knowledgeable, engaging and animated. He made the tour fun.
This was a great tour to taste some of New Orleans most iconic foods as well as the history behind them. Our tour guide wasn’t only very knowledgeable but obviously a person that was proud of the food of New Orleans and was a foodie himself.
Guide was super friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. All restaurants were comfortable and food came out very quickly.
