Fun and informative tour. Joseph was a fantastic guide! Saw areas of the city that might not have seen staying in French Quarter area.
A little boring, very elderly people thought it was interesting but not us. But we aren’t your typical elderly people. But for normal nonpartying elderly would enjoy it. My fault I used google and it used my age.
The guy was nice enough, but he just kept referring to chat AI to get his answers. I think he’s been doing this a long time so I was surprised that he was searching for knowledge. We did get to go to some very interesting places.
We took the tour last year and had a great host. This year we got Bob! Let’s stay we left the tour and took an Uber back to car. First I get a call at 1:26pm from Bob stating he’s about to pull up to get our group. The tour states 2pm and we weren’t at the pick up location. There was no communication stating to be at the location at 1:30pm. After multiple calls to Bob and the office we were picked up at 2:15pm. Tour starts Bob is pointing out places but not giving us enough time to fully look at what he was talking about. He was giving information that wasn’t historically accurate, and he was rude to people who were talking, I get it needed to be said because it could disturb other people but it could have been said in a better way. After this my party and I were done. When we went stopped at City Park we decided to no longer continue the tour.
Beware pick up of all passengers takes about 45 minutes. Bob is a nice guy but rambles on. There’s a college, there’s a school, down that street a celebrity lives. I could go on. Tour went over by an hour. Many passengers including ourselves, couldn’t wait to get off the bus. The information about Katrina was interesting. The group was chastised for talking.
Absolutely terrible experience! Our pickup was late, we had to call TWICE to see if we were even being picked up, and we waited another 30 minutes at the last stop. Our tour guide, Bob, was rude, condescending, and extremely offensive. He made a comment about white people passing a law requiring slave owners to be “nice” to their slaves. What part of slavery was ever nice? As a person of color, I found this deeply disturbing and insensitive. Bob also spoke down to passengers, demanding that no one talk while he was speaking and that we could only whisper. We couldn’t wait to get off the bus at the first stop! New Orleans deserves better representation of its history, and paying customers deserve respect. SAVE YOUR MONEY! We absolutely DO NOT recommend this tour, especially to people of color who expect their history to be treated with dignity and respect.
You can't be trusted for a pickup, because you aren't in time. In this case, I waited at the address where you picked up and rented a room at that hotel and driver/ tour guide never showed up I want a refund.
There is quite a bite of history to know and see. I was completely sold on experiencing the cemetery during the tour. Overall, the history is well documented.
Very easy way to get around in the city, A/C was nice. Joe is very knowledgeable and added humor to the tour.
Well informed tour guide… very comprehensive tour..wish the vehicle had good shock absorbers for the rough roads
Bob was great! He was very knowledgeable and gave us plenty of photo ops. He kept the tour fun and engaging. I would definitely recommend this tour to my friends and family.
Bob was amazing! Very knowledgeable and truly enjoyed having him as a tour guide!!! This is definitely one of the best city tours!!!!!
I hate that this tour started out with a late pickup. I don’t know what caused the delay, but waiting an hour for pickup was frustrating. I was, however, his last pickup. The tour started out with blocked streets and trouble seeing anything. But it quickly turned around, and became an informative, educational experience. Bob shared so much history with us, along with houses of the current actors and sports legends. I loved the parks and the history of them. Bob even shared his knowledge about the trees in the City park. We walked through a cemetery, took a break in the park with Cafe du Monde, even got to take pics of a double yard full of very clever skeletons. 😉 And I learned even more about Katrina than I did on a city tour in Biloxi. It’s a shame that his mic wasn’t always working, and the bus rattles so much on the bumpy, rough streets of the city. And even tho a pulldown shade on the bus might inhibit some sight, it would be worth it to block out some of the hot sun on the sunny side of the bus. The nearly 3-hour tour was well worth the money paid. Be sure to tip your driver!
Great tour. Our guide, Bob, was really great. The only thing is we were asked to walk to another hotel for pickup. A little annoying considering we're tourist and don't know the city well. Otherwise recommend the tour.
Bob was very knowledgeable and I enjoyed the information he shared on the tour. He was very nice!
Joseph picked everyone up at various hotels around downtown, four stops after us. He was very well informed on the history of New Orleans; how the city was built; hurricane preparedness and aftermath; local architecture; homes and schools. We stopped at one of the local cemeteries (10 minutes to explore), Cafe DuMond in Audubon Park (20 minutes for coffee, beignets, souvenirs), and then we were driven around town to view homes, schools, universities, and churches. Joseph told us about local celebrities (including Nicholaus Cage & Anne Rice) as we drove past their former residences. From pickup to drop off was a little over two & a half hours. Very well done and would do again.
This 2.5 hour tour took a total of 4 hours from door to door, so plan accordingly. Our driver and guide, Bob, was friendly and informative, but seemed to not know the local streets and hotels very well. A lot of time could have been saved with the use of a GPS vs a paper map. We saw areas of the city we never would have otherwise and got some good restaurant recommendations. It was a useful tour but took longer than expected and felt inefficient.
Bob, the driver was very informed, helpful, and accommodating. Some roads were blocked due to the storm, but we learned a lot.
Bob was very entertaining. He shared a lot of great information.
Trish was absolutely amazing!! Personable and knowledgeable!
Very experienced tour guide! It was a really rainy day and it was a great way to see the city instead of walking! Clean bus, safe environment and very convenient to be picked up right at our hotel.
We have been to New Orleans several times and we decided to do an actural tour this time. Bob was our driver and tour guide and he was excellent! He called about 5 minutes before he picked us up at our hotel in the French Quarter to let us know he was on his way. He greeted us with a great smile and was very friendly. We had two other couples on the tour with us. Bob took us to all of the sites worth seeing and his knowledge of the city was incredible. He shared so much information and answered all of the questions we had. He was a very calm driver even when other people weren't! This was a great tour!
Bob was welcoming and knowledgeable about all things New Orleans. Perfect tour for the first day of our visit to New Orleans. Highly recommend this tour which even includes hotel pick up and drop off.
Joseph is the best guide of the city you could ask for. He is so knowledgeable and witty! We were running late to the bus, keep in mind pick up is earlier than start time, and the company was kind enough to wait for us. I really enjoyed this tour.
It is a great way to get a quick overview of New Orleans. Joseph the driver was very knowledgeable about the city.
The tour provided a lot of great information. However, we booked the tour expecting it to last around two hours, and it ended up being closer to three and a half hours. While this might be a positive for some people, it was a little difficult for us since we had planned the rest of our day around the advertised two-hour timeframe. I wished the guide could have gave a more structured tour and stuck to the allotted time frame.
We had a great tour with Joseph. He was knowledgeable, kind and funny. I had a first time visitor friend with me and she learned a lot about NOLA. Would definitely recommend the tour.
Wonderful tour. Bob was very knowledgeable and passionate about New Orleans rich history. Excellent choice for city tour.
Bob was a very knowledgeable tour guide for the area. Saw things and learned about areas I never would have on my own. Very good value for the Money.
The tour is wonderful!! We saw too many places in 2 1/2 hours; the bus was very comfortable, and the guide was amazing and charming!
Joe was very friendly and shared interesting facts about the area. My husband and I had a great time!
The vehicle was comfortable…you will learn interesting facts about New Orleans…the driver was entertaining.
This was a good city tour. Our guide drove us around the city pointing out lots of points of interest and giving us the history of such an old city. The stop off at Cafe Du Monde made the entire trip worth it. Thank you!
Trish was informative, kind, and a great conversationalist! We had a great tour of the city, history and made it a lot of fun!
We did the city tour with Bob Haskins. He did a wonderful job and we had a great time. Bob certainly brought the history of this wonderful city to life.
This city tour of New Orleans was fun, interesting and informative. I truly appreciated being picked up and dropped off at our hotel which made it so much easier. This was our first time in New Orleans, so we wanted to take a tour that showed us the highlights. This tour is excellent! The driver/tour guide was knowledgeable and, at times, humorous. The vehicle was large enough for our small group and we truly appreciated the air conditioning. The cost was typical for a tour like this. The 2hr length was just right. We recommend this tour if you're looking for an overview of New Orleans.
Really enjoyed this tour. It was extremely educational.
The driver was so nice and knowledgeable and he was very personable. I love the stops that we made especially that we stopped at cafe dumonfe bec we had not tried beignets yet.
Tour guide was very friendly and informative shared a lot of fun facts. Please bring cash to leave a tip great guy. Minor suggestion get a decal for the tour bus so the customers can quickly identify the bus at pick up.
Rita was an awesome guide. Her sense of humor and knowledge about New Orleans made the tour enjoyable and educational.
Very informative and interesting details about the city. The bus was air conditioned and the driver Bob was really nice.
A great start to our time in New Orleans. Prompt pick up at our hotel door and a great overview of New Orleans. We covered a lot of things which I don't think we would have had time to do by ourselves (we were there for 3 nights only). Great value for money, and our tour guide Bob was very knowledgeable.
The tour guide/driver was very knowledgeable and he told funny stories ans jokes keeping us entertained.
Very informative and our driver Bob was friendly, and fun, The bus was clean and cool. We enjoyed the views and the other passengers.
The driver was very knowledgeable but some things were hard to see. Anything "straight ahead" was impossible to see because of the small windshield which was much lower than the seats. The description of the tour lead me to believe that we would be going in the WWII museum but we only got a glimpse of the building as we passed by. We would have loved time to explore Jackson Square, also.
Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area, and we especially appreciated the history and information shared about Hurricane Katrina. We also really enjoyed the drive down St. Charles Street. Unfortunately, the tour felt somewhat disorganized and ran much longer than expected. Our guide missed a couple of turns, the heat was on in the bus initially despite the warm weather and we had to tell the driver to fix it, and the microphone/speaker was very staticky. There were frequent stops or detours to finish a story, deliver a joke punchline, or share something that didn’t always feel relevant to the tour. Several people ultimately chose to get off the bus at random locations because the tour was going on so long. We were particularly hoping to see and learn more about the Garden District, but felt that a disproportionate amount of the tour was spent in cemeteries. While some cemetery history was interesting, we would have preferred a better balance and more time seeing the neighborhoods and architecture. There was clearly a lot of local knowledge and history to share, but a little more structure, better time management, and a stronger focus on the advertised highlights would have made the experience much more enjoyable.
Very nice way to explore New Orleans and learn the history. Only thing I would change is the amount of time we spent at the cemetery and definitely spend more time to visit sculpture park and Cafe Du Monde. 15 mins to do both was not enough at all. Overall great and punctual
This was an excellent tour of New Orleans. The driver was wonderful. The bus was comfortable and well air conditioned. He picked us up and dropped us off where we wanted to be. He was also the tour guide proving music and visuals. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly.
There are only two stops on the tour but the driver (Tony) was willing to make other stops, when possible, to take photos. The driver was great. Very informed with a good sense of humor. The tour did run longer than advertised but luckily it didn’t upset my plans. I would recommend this tour. Good value for the money. Don’t forget to have some cash on hand for a tip well deserved.
