Roy gave us great commentary on our tour and the weather was perfect. Clouds rolling in, made the evening ominous just as we wanted!

Itinerary
Founded in 1865 by the Grand Lodge of the State of Louisiana Free and Accepted Masons, the Masonic Cemetery expresses a character distinct from the Catholic cemeteries that dominate the city. It is known for its many unusual, elaborate tombs, a reputation due in part to the cemetery’s communal nature: members of lodges pooled resources to purchase large group tombs. Occupying two oddly shaped city blocks, the cemetery is triangular in plan, with Conti Street bisecting it. The triangular footprint of the bordering streets overlaid with the cemetery’s angular internal walkways mimics the Masonic emblem of the square and compass. Cast-iron picket fences enclose its two distinct sections, while oak allées line its northern and western edges. Tombs are compactly arranged in rows parallel to Bienville Street, with a wide, paved promenade cutting through the center to provide access to smaller walkways between rows.
City Park is as magical and unique as the city of New Orleans. The 1,300-acre outdoor oasis has enchanted New Orleanians since 1854, making it one of the nation’s oldest urban parks. Each year, millions of visitors stroll under the same historic oaks and picturesque moss canopies that served as the backdrop for dances, concerts and even gentlemanly duels or “affaires d’honneur” for generations.

It was ok. I was expecting spooky and entertaining for 2 hours but it was just ok. About 50 mins of the tour was driving so expect that. There was a little bit of history while driving around but nothing really captivating. It was cool walking around a graveyard at night on Halloween so that’s a plus.
No bathrooms on the bus, but they do make a bathrooms stop. 2 hours long and they have 2 drops at end. One near Bourbon street and 1 at beginning point.
The tour was a little misleading. We did go to two cemeteries. We spent 15 mins at the first one and about 20 mins at the second one. We mostly drove around and listened to “spooky” music at a VERY loud volume. Measured it to be a sustained 88 decibels. The tour guide was entertaining but lacked any substance. I would not do this again.
I learned a lot of the city’s history and enjoyed his personal stories of New Orleans. The tour was very interesting.
So informative and fun! Our guide had so much information to share and kept it light and fun. This is our second visit and did this both times.
Not worth $90 for 2 people. We got driven to one cemetery, given 10 mins of info then told to wander around. At the second cemetery, we got no information at all just told to wander again. Then straight back to the French Quarter. The guide told some stories on the bus but we came away feeling like we’d learned very little and basically paid $90 to be driven to two cemeteries. Could have uber-ed there ourselves for much cheaper. Not a good tour. Also no need to arrive 30 mins early, we were just sat around. 5-10 mins would have been fine.
Roy was awesome! Very entertaining and knowledgeable. Enjoyed the whole experience. Would do it again
Nice ambiance, fantastic guide and history on the tour. There is a very strong smell of sage and oil on the bus for cleansing purposes so if you're sensitive to smells, let them know beforehand
Leave enough time to get to the meeting stop. Missed out on this tour due to, 2 different uber drivers.
The good news: Our driver and guide, Roy, was fabulous. Funny, informative, very knowledgeable! Plus he played great music! But, like any tour, you never know who else is going to be on the bus with you. We ended up with a bunch of loud people who had been over-served and were disruptive to the whole tour. Roy even had to issue a few warnings that if he could not be heard, he would be letting the offenders off the bus! And unfortunately, the rowdy folks were also disruptive at the stops we made...if you were expecting to see or experience any spirits or ghosts, or to even summon up anything from that realm, forget it! At the conclusion of the tour, Roy offered to drop off his passengers at several different stops before returning to the French Market which was great!
Bus arrived an hour after the tour was supposed to start due to the parade. Tour was fine, not as informative as I would have liked -- a little more focused on ghost hunting than the history in the cemeteries. The music on the bus was loud and when I asked if they could adjust the volume slightly they said no.
This was a great way to learn the history of the city. I enjoyed the tour and Royd's extensive knowledge of the cemeteries.
We had the best time with Mr. Henry! He kept the tour informative and was so funny! Seriously the best part of our trip!
It was a great experience and so much fun our tour guide Roy was great we learned a lot of fun facts
Super fun experience! Our driver was so knowledgeable and very interactive throughout the tour. We hit two cemeteries and stopped for a restroom break at Morning Cafe (cash only) and even got to purchase some midnight beignets. Loved it!
Fun, scary and everything in-between. Our guide into the further Rard was great. He was well versed on all the local folklore.
Don't be afraid of ghost. Lots of history. Great tour guide Roy. Free to roam the cemetery on your own
It was a fun little cemetery tour. My daughter and I had fun. Our tour host was fun and informative.
You spend more time on the bus but it was nice for us because we walked all day and needed a break. Our guide played spooky music on the bus which made it more fun.
We had a really great time, we’ve been coming to NOLA for over 20 years and this is the first time we’ve ever done a tour. Blue bus is the best bus 💙
Our guide Raffle is the best tour guide! He gave us a great experience. His tour was more than cemeteries. He gave us stories, life experiences, traditions, and some very interesting people that makes the French Quarter one of the most interesting neighborhoods in America. My regret is we didn't do his tour until the end of our stay. I recommend booking one of his tours (he does several different ones) right after you get there.
It was very cool learning about the history of the tombs and we seen some really cool spots. Our guide Raffle was funny and very knowledgeable. We had a great time!
Great night walking through 2 different cemeteries. Our guide, Henry, was so cool! Sharing the history of New Orleans and answering questions along the way. It was a great mix of a little spooky and a lot of fun
Great experience with Roy! Definitely have to go on another one of his tours! We both enjoyed ourselves! Thank you so much Roy for making the tour awesome ! Great information and vibes! Book with Roy!
Great experience, learned much! Our tour guy Marcus was extremely friendly, and very informative. Highly recommend this experience.
The tour was entertaining, informative, and an all-around great time! Marcus was very knowledgeable and accommodating. 10/10 would recommend.
Roy-Blue shuttle bus driver very dynamic. The experience was fun and informative. Roy is a fanatic ghost chaser so knows a lot about spirits.
Booked a tour with Groupon, didn’t know the time slot of 5;00 wasn’t available because you weren’t able to select it until after you purchased. I assumed it was available because it was posted. We had our grandson with us and wanted to go with the earliest time slot. We walked all the way down Decatur to see if they would let us tour at that time and it turns out no one was there, The area has a huge amount of construction and the sidewalks are fenced off. Unfortunately there are few tourist walking in that area, most of what we saw were locals or homeless. The next time available was 8:00 and we didn’t feel comfortable walking down there after dark. Groupon would not do anything and said it was non refundable. Beware how and where you purchase tickets from. Unfortunately i couldn’t have booked with a group closer to the busy area for the same amount that i paid on Groupon.
We had an amazing time! Raffie was our guide and we had Chris as a driver. We got so much information.
Bring a flash light and watch your step if you go at night. My guide was marvelous- he knew so many interesting historical facts. I think it's a very good tour.
Wanted to experience a ghost/cemetery tour. We booked online and walked to the pickup location at Voodoo Tavern which is one street over from the French Market in the French Quarter. Interesting tour to the Masonic Cemetery; a stop for coffee & beignets; a driving tour past several, massive, unique monuments; and a walking tour of a mausoleum style cemetery. Didn’t see or feel any ghosts, but learned the unique way NOLA buries its dead. The large tombs (vaults) hold bodies for a year and a day before removing any remains and putting them under the tomb. The same tombs can be used for multiple generations. Take the tour to learn all the details on this fascinating process.
it was the worst experience i’ve ever had on a ghost tour we were told to meet at the front at 11:50 as we were heading to the front at 11:48 we noticed the bus had already left us we had no number and or anyone to reach out to we were left 1 hour and 30 mins away walking distance from our car we had to uber like i said worse experience ever we werent even a hour into the tour yet insane…
You are given good info about the gravesites but then you wander around by yourself and there’s not much to do.
Our tour guide was Roy. This is our second trip with him and our 6th cemetery tour in total. He was witty and comical as well as informative. He gave us great recommendations and education on the area as well. He made the trip for us the second time around and will be requested for many trips to come!
I liked Bob the Undertaker as he was very informative on NOLA traditions of cemeteries. A few NOLA stories to make it interesting as it was a ghost tour. However there was another bus tour with the same company going on at the same time and the driver of that bus was unprofessional and showed up late. Was rude to his coworker and didn't apologize for his lateness and made it a rough start for everyone that night.
Sorry, not worth the time or money. We were delivered to the cemeteries, got a two-minute guided tour and left to wander around for the remainder. Could have taken a taxi and saved $60.
Very fun and informational tour. We had a great time! Our tour guide Roy was great. Highly recommend.
We took the late tour and it was awesome. After dark it was cool to see the cemetary and hear the ghost stories. If you’re looking for a spooky experience then this is the one for you. Our tour guide was wonderful. We didn’t experience any paranormal on this tour but I think that’s a good thing. Keep the peace with the spirits.
My husband and I did it. Our tour guide, Roy, was AWESOME! This was so informative and FUN! Highly Recommend! If you're on the fence about doing a tour... Do this one! The bus was a smaller white hotel like bus with AC (very nice compared to the walking tours)! It also allowed for a smaller group of about 20 people. And did I mention our guide Roy was AWESOME! He was professional, funny, respectful, courteous and family friendly (people on our bus had children with them). He provided a great tour with history, lure and information. 10 out of 10 Recommend!
Went to scope out meeting place prior to event starting time to familiarize ourselves with the area. We were met with large fences due to construction in the area and homeless people that were harassing myself and my daughter. The fences limited room to maneuver away from the men. We did not feel safe to come back to the area after dark to join our tour. We tried to contact Viator support and the contact your tour guide to cancel and were only able to reach an automated system that gave no help. We asked patrons at local businesses and they said that since the construction started it was a terrible area to be in and two women should not be there alone. They should have moved the tour to a safer meeting place. I hate to lose the money I paid for the tour, but my safety means more to me.
Roy was incredible!! He was funny, knowledgeable and made the entire experience so much fun. He had our backs and held people accountable for being disruptive so we could enjoy the experience to the fullest. 10/10 experience & would definitely do it again!
I brought a group of 19 people in New Orleans for a business meeting on this tour and we had a great experience. Our tour guide, Henri, was knowledgeable and fun -- and was very patient with my group as we were running late from our dinner and didn't arrive until the bus was about to leave. We also liked the stop in between cemeteries for a bathroom and beverage break. We really appreciated Henri and our entire tour was amazing!
Very fun experience. Guide was very informative and very fun. Roy made the trip very enjoyable. Would definitely recommend and do it again.
Roy was amazing! My cousin and I had a blast! Such a cool experience! I definitely recommend this tour! Roy was funny, very kind, respectful, and knowledgeable!
ROY was absolutely amazing, funny and informative! He was our guide and we felt safe and protected! This tour could get very eerie and creepy at night but it’s worth It !!!
If you get a chance to pick which driver choose Roy he is the best he is the most thorough and has a lot of knowledge of New Orleans and has a great sense of humor and seems to enjoy doing these Tours. ROY ROCKS!!!!!!
OMG! Me, my husband and some friends went Saturday September 19, 2026. Ron was our tour guide in the blue bus and he was phenomenal! The music on the bus and his knowledge really set the mood! We had EMF trackers and they were lighting up by the suicide tree during our stop at the park. I just took a bunch of pics and when I was posting them on Facebook a few days later and I saw something weird. I zoomed in and you can see the side profile of a woman. I took the pic in night mode. You can see the side of her face, her long hair, her dress, her outstretched arm and her leg! She is just floating there! I couldn’t believe my eyes! Even without the ghost pic this tour was amazing thanks to Ron! Definitely recommend!
Ron was the best guide! He was really knowledgeable and the music on the tour bus really made it all come together! We got to do a little ghost hunting and I even caught a spirit in one of my pics! Highly recommend this tour!
We went to New Orleans for our anniversary trip and booked this tour last minute on our last night, and we were so glad we did! Our tour guide, Roy, made our experience so much fun! He was informative, engaging, and went above and beyond to make the tour amazing. Super grateful for the experience he provided!
