The tour guide/ driver was amazing and very knowledgeable of Lafayette and the cuisine available. The food samples were delicious as well as the employes on all visits. We felt like we just had crash course on Lafayette.

Celebrated a friends birthday with 5 friends. The food was delicious. Our bus driver and tour guide, Jay, was the best. He informed us of very interesting facts about the origin of the food we would be tasting on the way to each restaurant. Highly recommend Cajun Food Tours.
One of the best things we did in on our Road Trip. A great way to experience a little bit of Lafayette and Cajun Culture / Food. We went to places we would not have necessarily chosen / known about and tasted some really lovely food. Even the kids enjoyed the experience even though they were a bit worried about what food they would get! Whitney was brilliant - very knowledgeable and full of fun to make the tour even better. We were a small group which was nice. I would definitely recommend to anyone wishing to experience Cajun food in the best places in Lafayette.
We recently went on the Original Cajun Food tour. The occasion: our grandson (from Kentucky) was in town and even though he has grown up visiting us, now that he is older, he wanted to experience more food unique to our area. And it was our very first food tour! We have lived in Lafayette for 43 years, and I learned so much about how our food became unique. Be sure and come hungry because you will be stuffed when you finish. Marie was our guide and she gave us a great history behind the foods and also told us some unique stories. It was SO much fun! We traveled in a comfortable van, and as we traveled to each venue, Marie pointed out various places, some historical, about the area. We were given bottled water and had the option to purchase different beverages at each stop. We also were given some nice souvenirs to bring home. We were given ample time at each stop to eat, go to the restroom.
We had a fabulous time visiting five local eateries. Our friends from out-of-state really enjoyed the Cajun cuisine. Our driver, Jay, filled us in with lots of local information which was very interesting.
I highly recommend this tour! The 5 stops food choices were fantastic . Loved each stop!! In addition to great food our tour guide, Whitney, did an exceptional job. We learned Acadiana history which was very interesting. The tour company works with numerous restaurants in the Lafayette area so we would do the tour again and probably try completely different food. If you get a chance take this tour!!
This was my third Cajun food tour. They are very informative by giving a lot of history of the surrounding area and a history of the food that is synonymous with the Cajun culture. We then try some of the foods known in Cajun country. An excellent introduction to those unfamiliar with some of our history and food in south Louisiana.
Awesome tour. Our tour guide Jay was wonderful. He was well versed in the history and culture of Cajun food. Food was delicious . Highly recommended.
We had only a day in Lafayette & we chose this tour cause we’re foodies. So much more than tasty food! Jay is an outstanding guide, giving us history about the area, food & people. Don’t think we could ask him anything he couldn’t answer! The 5 stops were historic & unique…the staff loved having us. Food was authentic to the area & small portions were just right. The bus was large & comfortable. All in all, great choice!
Second time - just as good as the first!
The Cajun food bus experience was the most rewarding experience I have had on my travels in years. Every restaurant we ate at was extraordinary and I was able to cross off one of my bucket list items. My friend crossed off two bucket list items. And II would definitely recommend this to others and do it again!!
We have taken this tour twice and would do it again!! Went to different places this time and enjoyed them all. Marie was very accommodating and a great communicator since we knew they probably wouldn’t have enough for the tour at this time of year. Jay was a great guide and maneuvered the bus safely as we tooled from place to place.
This tour was more thsn what we expected and we love that we were able to support the local businesses at thr same time by purchasing drinks or food items to take back to AZ with us! More than enough food samples to fill you up and really good local restaurant/store choices! One of the best food tours we've been on.
Marie has a real passion for history and the food in this region. I enjoyed eating the selection of food and the history behind it, Marie was a good story teller! We ate Gumbo with potato salad, shrimp po-boys, chicken cracklins, boudin, smoked sausage, smoked oysters (my favorite), alligator and king cake. You will not go away hungry!
Amazing morning in the suburbs with Whitney … this is a class business who know how to look after visitors and are an important part of the community and the Lafayette story. The food was excellent but the story telling and “ joie de vivre” were just as important . I can completely recommend spemding three hours with this company
My husband and I went on the tour. I'm from Lafayette and learned about food, local businesses, and my own history. Marie was entertaining, informative, and kept us all moving and eating. The restaurants we visited provided yummy bites, and by the end of the tour we couldn't eat any more.
We did the morning Cajun food tour this weekend and absolutely loved it! The tour included five different stops, and even though we live only about an hour away and have spent a lot of time in the area, we were pleasantly surprised by several places we had never visited before. Every stop offered something unique and delicious, and we truly enjoyed the opportunity to try new foods. One highlight was discovering amazing premade meat products at a local grocery store that we had never tasted before — we’ll definitely be going back for more. It was such a fun and well-organized experience, and we’re already looking forward to booking another tour in the future!
We had a great time learning about the area and trying all the delicious food. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and nice.
Fantastic, the Driver was so sweet and just amazing, I would recommend this Cajun tour for anyone, you would definitely enjoy it, all of the eateries were Awesome as well . I will definitely bring my family back. Love you Whitney, you were Amazing, very knowledgeable, and just all around fantastic.
We have done many food tours around the world - but none in our hometown. We have been wanting to do the Cajun Food Tour and finally had an opportunity. Marie is a great ambassador for everything our Cajun culture represents! Thank you Marie for showcasing some of our favorite spots sprinkled with history and a true passion!
Our group loved this Tour so much and Marie did a wonderful job. We will definitely do it again. I’ve lived in Louisiana all of my life, but this was such a great experience. We discovered many wonderful new eating places and will definitely go back to these restaurants and eat some more. Thank you Marie for doing such a wonderful job you made it so much fun.
I find food tours are a great way to get to know the culture of a place. I'll even do a food tour on my return to a foodie town... like I did in Lafayette, Louisiana. Marie was a school teacher, so she knows her Cajun food history...and more. You get the full deal on her tours. The shuttle bus she's decorated is like your own VIP party bus, and she treats you like Mardi Gras royalty! Yes, you'll meet new friends along the way!
This Food Tour was absolutely the BEST! Everything was on time, easy, fun, delicious and delightful! Our tour guide, Jay, treated us to great history and funny tidbits about the food and the restaurants we visited! I definitely recommend this to tourists and residents alike! Allon Manger, Y’all !
Awesome trip! A must do. The guide (Marie) is very knowledgeable about the history and traditions of the Cajun people and culture and the selected food stops are superb. Not chain restaurants but the real traditional places where the locals go. Will book again in the future.
Parish Biscuit is a must do! Great place for breakfast or brunch with a full service bar. Ordered amazing Bloody Mary & the crawfish omelet with a homemade biscuit was incredible! Place gets busy. You may have to wait in line as well worth the wait!
Me and some of my girlfriends did the tour as a girls day out. The food tastings were delicious!! The samples were just the right size. Some of our stops were at some quaint restaurants that I will be going back to! The tour guide was great at giving us some interesting facts on the food culture. You will be full by the end of your tour. The last stop is the best!!!
Would do it AGAIN in a heart beat! Our tour guide, Jay, was entertaining, funny, and so knowledgeable about Louisiana and the history of the Cajun cuisine and culture. He made everyone feel important ❤️ and ya’ll, the FOOD!!! 5 stops of the best of the best. Highly recommend!
Our family had a great time on the food tour with our guide, Jay. Jay was very knowledgeable about the area, and we enjoyed all of the places we visited on our food tour: Old Tyme Grocery, Bon Temps Grill, Earl's, The Cajun Table, and DeanO's.
Our tour guide J was great. Very knowledgeable, informative and personable. Had a great time. All of the food was great, very easy to fill up on great food. I particularly liked the gumbo, but it was a little bit spicy for our 7 year old and two of the adults in our seven person group. Now we know how to order on our own.
Whitney was our guide. She knew a lot of history about Breaux Bridge. She kept the tour fun and informative. We sampled foods at some of the more popular restaurants in Breaux Bridge and visited one of the shops. All of our family and friends enjoyed the walking tour very much, and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys food and history.
Great food and Jay, our guide, was excellent!! We enjoyed learning about the history of all the great food that we were served.
What a great time! This is a must do! Marie is an excellent tour guide. Very knowledgeable about the history and the food. The food was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed our tour!
Awesome tour. Several stops with a variety of Louisiana based foods and a lot of local information. You leave full. We were on the afternoon tour.
If you're in Lafayette, then this is a must-do! Marie was full on information and her attention to detail was excellent. Above all, the food stops were all so good and local. I dont eat pork, so she was even kind enough to make suttle adjustments which was appreciated. Great food tour 10/10!
Five star experience. Food is awesome and the information given extremely informative. This is my second tour and I live in Lafayette.
Fun, interesting and delicious! Our guide, Marie, gave us a Cajun Country history lesson as we drove which added a lot to the experience . We stopped at five different restaurants/market and sampled a variety of delicious Cajun food. It was the highlight of our trip. I highly recommended it!
This tour was exceptional! The food was great - shrimp po boy, boudin, king cake and more - and our tour guide, Marie, was VERY entertaining knowledgeable about the history of the are and its food. She is a true Cajun and artfully described the history of South Louisiana and Acadiana. The bus was decorated with lights and there was fun Cajun music playing when Marie wasn't talking. If you're looking for the best food in town, let Marie show you where to find it and take this tour! I loved it so much, I took it twice.
Marie was excellent as our guide and we enjoyed visiting five different locations with a sample of food in each location. Would recommend this tour.
As a local, I was amazed at the vast historical information Maria Ducote shared during the drive and the varied locations the bus stopped for eats. The food stops change regularly, and I was surprised to tryout a new restaurant and a small unique grocery store for boudin. And, she speaks French!! There was a French doctor on our tour that really enjoyed the interactions as well. I highly recommend this food tour for visitors to our great city and to locals. There are so many wonderful local restaurants to experience. I plan on taking the tour again, perhaps next time in Breaux Bridge. You will not be disappointed.
Jay Steiner was very informative, friendly and extremely knowledgeable! The tastes were just enough and delicious! the variety of food was great! The van was very nice and lots of water available.
Marie absolutely KILLED IT! We were in from West Monroe visiting friends and decided to do the afternoon tour. This is a magical experience! This is a MUST if you are in the Lafayette area! Best food ever!
Absolutely fabulous day today with our group & guide. All of us were from Louisiana and knew a lot about our culture, but we learned some new things! Fabulous food and I've added new places to my list of favorites! Also came home with a couple of bags with goodies I purchased at our stops!!
I've taken food tours every where i travel. Marie, our guide, is the owner/operator of one of the best. Her passion for her culture is only matched by the quality and variety of the food.
This was our 3rd Cajun Food Tour and each one has been amazing! This time we took tthe evening tour and loved the stops so much we had to go for dinning the next night with the rest of the family. Always fun and so well organized. I learn something new each time we go. For sure we will see you the next visit to Lafayette!!!
Jay was awesome! He was very informative about the history of the food! He gave us lots of information on the local history as well! He took the time to answer all our questions whether it was local history or food history! Really enjoyed this food tour!
The food was delicious. Ms. Marie Ducote was the best tour guide ever. She really knew the history of the area and of the food. This was our first tour with her, but we are planning on another very soon. We ate boudin and many kinds of sausages, Cajun Shrimp and Grits, Grilled Oysters and Alligator, and topped it all off with King Cake!! Take this tour. You will definitely be glad you did!
I took this tour with a Senior group of ladies from Central Louisiana. It was amazing and Marie the tour owner and guide "rocked"! A true cajun lady that takes you deep into the cajun culture and food. Her party bus was so fun, comfortable and cajun music was a definite plus. The stops were well planned and tasty samples. A wonderful way to intro people to Louisiana foods and culture. Thank you Marie!
My 5 sisters and I wanted something different for our sisters reunion. Though we were born and raised in the Lafayette area we thought that the Cajun Food Tour would be something fun and different (and we all love Cajun food). We had a great time with lots of laughter, good food and even learned a few things about our wonderful culture from our tour guide Jay. Thank you Jay, Marie and Cajun Food Tours for making our reunion a fun and memorable experience. I highly recommend this experience.
The tour was great. We enjoyed all the stops And the food at each restaurant was awesome. We had 5 stops and each one were ready to treat us with their delicious Cajun foods.
This is my 5th Cajun Food tour and again my guests and I had a wonderful time. It’s my go to when I have guests come in from out of town. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The 5 stops were delicious. We were stuffed by our third stop. Jay was a great driver and guide. His information was given in a very entertaining and enjoyable style.
