Great experience. Ralph was very knowledgeable and he cares a lot about the city. The food was so good at Oceana that we went back for dinner
Great tour guide. Tour guide, Raffle, very knowledgeable and entertaining. Highly recommend this tour.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and kind. The weather was beautiful and perfect for a walk down the french quarter. We plan to check out another one if his tours the next time we visit New Orleans
Raffle is very informative and fun. He was very approachable and attentive to our needs. I would pay for a full day of adventure and stories with this guy.
Our guide Raffle, was so informative. He spoke clearly and loud enough to be heard. Our group was small and perfect size for the content. The breakfast place, Oceana was great! The management came by, he was pretty funny and full of more history and recommendations. This was a great day 1 experience.
Great experience with Raffle, such a local insider, fun that he knew everybody and had personal history with all the places.
Raffle was an absolute pleasure to have as a guide around the Quarter. His breakfast choice and walk round were lovely. We enjoyed a lovely morning hearing extra color of stories about locations in the Quarter & his life growing up there.
Raffle is a very good tour guide. He loves New Orleans and taught us alot on its history. This is a really good tour to go on if you would like to know more about New Orleans.
If you get lucky and get Raffle as your tour guide you will be extremely pleased as he shares a wealth of knowledge. He is very good.
My friends and I arrived when the South was hella hot and humid. Knowing it was going to be hot, I decided a morning food tour would be the best option. Raffle hit us up the night before to tell us where to meet him, and he also shared the meeting spot that morning. Even though we were all hungover, having breakfast at Oceana hit the spot. Raffle even praised us for being early—LOL. He was very knowledgeable, and at first, I thought we’d just be tasting food, but I later learned it was a breakfast tour combined with a walking tour, which was totally fine—and thankfully, still early in the a.m. We stopped at local stores, and Raffle shared all the history with us—absolutely worth it! Overall, a great experience with a knowledgeable guide and a fun way to explore.
This was the perfect thing for us to do the first morning on our family vacation with 2 teens. Good breakfast, Raffle was a great guide.
The tour was wonderful! Rafel was excellent and we cannot wait to come back. Breakfast was yummy and the staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean!
Enjoyed the tour and breakfast! Raffle was great and very informative. We liked it was a morning tour not too hot and not crowded getting about. Highly recommend and ask for Raffle he’s the real deal. Thank you Raffle for sharing your knowledge with us!
My family of 4 booked the Breakfast walking tour with Raffle as our guide. He was wonderful and knowledgeable. We wished we had time to book some of the other tours he offers. The breakfast was delicious and the history of the area was interesting. We got a heck of a deal for our tickets through Groupon. Highly recommend.
So much fun and knowledge! Plus delicious foot! Loved it. Our guide was knowledgeable and funny! We learned so much in a short time!
So, I usually drag my travel companions on food tours, but both times I’ve been in The Big Easy, I’ve been with people MAYbe not so keen on eating ALL the things. Hubs and I were there for a day with my parents in tow and they can be picky eaters, but also food-obsessed in terms of wanting all 3 meals scheduled throughout the day. This tour seemed perfect, knocking out a little history in the French Quarter (with a start point just steps from our hotel) and making sure they got a good traditional (as in not very adventurous) breakfast. Got a nice confirmation text from our guide Raffle a couple of hours before the tour and then met him, no problem. I thought we’d eat first, but the tour was timed well with a little walking and talking (and even sitting, when possible, which my parents appreciated) first, then breakfast, then a little more touring. He also spoke nice and loud, which meant my dad, who is hard of hearing, actually got something out of the tour. I think we really only “toured” for 60-75 minutes, because the breakfast, which was simple, customizable, but delicious, took about 45 minutes, and Raffle didn’t join us for that portion. I think I would’ve liked it if he told us a few more stories during that time instead of leaving us to make small talk amongst ourselves, but I get that’s not for everyone. Btw, your food IS included which makes this tour a great deal, but you can upgrade with an adult beverage (my husband and I both got Bloody Marys), but that’s extra of course. Raffle is a genuine, knowledgeable, no-BS tour guide, and we all enjoyed our morning with him and the little extras along the way like the opportunity to look inside St. Louis Cathedral and Gallery Burguieres. I’d definitely be into taking any of the tours he leads and even though too many people probably take him up on reaching out for further suggestions and help, it seemed like he meant it when he offered his services beyond the tour.
We spent the morning walking the French Quarter with Raffle. He was very informative and shared lots of interesting facts. We also had a wonderful breakfast!
The city was quiet so my husband and I ended up having a private tour with the engaging Raffle - it was really great to be led around by someone who grew up in the French Quarter & actually knew a ton of the people around! His knowledge of the city and delivery was excellent. Also breakfast was solid 💜 thank you so much for the tour!
Overall, this was one of the best tours I’ve ever been on. Our tour guide, Raffle, had the best energy ever and was extremely informative about the French Quarter. However, his sense of humor made it all the more enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious and our server was even better. Everyone we came into contact with on the tour was extremely kind. I definitely would rebook again if I were to ever visit NO!
Raffle was amazing! He obviously knows his city, and loves to show it off! He gave us insight on the places locals prefer and tips on how to see the city in a way that matched our vacation style. When we come back, we may just do this for again, if we could have him guide us!
Operator was a no show. He said that trip advisor did not advise him that he had a tour that morning. This rating is not to reflect the tour itself, this is more of a don’t waste your time for something that doesn’t seem to have all of the “issues” worked out in their communications, and will leave you trying to figure out how to fill a part of your day when all other options you already passed on, have been booked up by this time. Extremely frustrating. Operator did reach back out that morning after I sent him a message, and offered us a free tour later, but I did not leave an opening on other days of our vacation for the chance that I would need to reschedule a prior event. Again, not knocking the tour itself, and the guide did offer a complimentary tour. But the inconvenience still needs to be documented in case it is a trend.
Tour was good. Our guide Carlo was amazing and it was very informative. The food however was not the best.
No review the tour was cancelled the day before we were to go. Very disappointing. We couldnt reschule because we were from out of town.
The tour guide was friendly and offered great tips. I forgot her name, either Trish or Tracy. She even called to make sure we were at the correct location. She was very knowledgeable and answered our questions thoroughly.
We showed up for the tour, but no one was there. We waited 10 minutes before leaving. I want my money back.
We enjoyed a fabulous breakfast and got to know our fellow tour participants in a fun leisurely way prior to heading out on the tour. Our tour guide was over the top fun and knowledgeable! She added a touch of humor at every point as well as providing interesting and enlightening insights into the city. It is easy to walk through the French Quarter and notice interesting structures. It is more interesting to learn about the back story to many of the sights we have seen many times in the past. We have visited the city many times over the last 30 years and always are pleased to find something new or a new approach to learning about the history and architecture. Nothing like a great breakfast and a good walk in the morning to start the day!!
We set up the Breakfast tour while making plans for our trip. Our travel agent said to be sure and call the day before to confirm this. We arrived on Sunday afternoon and I called the number that she supplied. There was a recording, so I left a message and my phone number. We didn't hear after a few hours, so I tried again in the morning before we left for the tour. We arrived at the location approx 30 minutes early and waited. At time the tour was supposed to leave, no one else was there, no tour guide. We were just getting ready to leave when "Bruce" came up. He said they didn't have a number to contact us. I told him that I had called and left a number. No explaination as to why, but he offered us the afternoon tour, if we wanted to come back later, and it would be just us and another couple. He made sure to tell us that the tour usually cost more, but they wouldn't charge us more. Since we had plans for the rest of our trip, we agreed. We went back in the afternoon and, as Bruce said, were met by David, our guide, and another couple. Again, we were never given an explanation as to why we had to change. David was a good guide, very knowledgeable, and fun to listen to. The samplings were good. But at times, he seemed to change the itinerary, so not sure we ended up with the "full package". It was a good tour, as far as learning the area and some history, but not one I'd take again.
