Wolfy was great! Super knowledgeable and made the tour fun and informative. We would definitely recommend the tour to anyone looking for some history.

The guide John talked too fast with no emphasis to add suspense. He’s very knowledgeable but lacks the ability to effectively communicate that knowledge. Better suited as an auctioneer. Plus $3M in 1834 (LaLaurie) is NOT $10M today; it’s $117M (perhaps he misspoke).

JJ is a phenomenal tour guide, he took the time to answer any questions anyone had, explained everything in detail, sharing his own experiences, pointed out the different architecture in the tour & told us where the must do stops are.

Our guide John was energetic, humorous and very knowledgeable about the mysteries and history of the French Quarter. He led us safely through the very crowded streets of a Halloween in the French Quarter and we had a great time!

Ricardo was a great tour guide - loud, clear voice, easy to understand, great theatricality and storytelling, and clear on fact versus myth versus no one knows. The "Hellavision" was tamer than the name suggests, but I appreciated the portraits, maps, and pictures to accompany the tales. The tour was enjoyable and whilst I loved seeing all of the costumes, Halloween was a terrible night for it as there was just so much chaos.

I would highly recommend the tour. Ricardo was very animated about the history of New Orleans. Learning different aspects of stories I had heard before, he gives it a new twist. Loved the tour and would do it again. Two thumbs up and a 5 star!

We were really looking forward to the tour, but unfortunately, it ended up being one of the most disappointing experiences of our New Orleans trip. Our guide was Kelsey. While I understand the importance of safety and setting expectations, we spent the first 30 minutes just going over rules. That set the tone for the rest of the evening, which felt rigid and more like a school field trip with a strict teacher than a fun night exploring the spooky history of New Orleans. The pacing and storytelling also left a lot to be desired. We spent long stretches standing at each stop, and the explanations weren't always particularly clear. At one point, we were standing nearly a block away from the building being discussed, which made it difficult to follow along. Another time, a friend asked a simple clarifying question about a location and was told to wait until the guide finished her story, which took another 20 minutes for her to get through (basically "wait your turn"). What was most disappointing was the overall tone. Rather than leaning into SPOOKY or FUN or FUNNY, the delivery often just felt cynical and dismissive. I have no issue with historical explanations behind supernatural stories, but the way they were presented seemed to take the excitement out of them rather than add to the experience. There just wasn't any enthusiasm, humor, or atmosphere to make the tour enjoyable. Our group gradually checked out but stuck around until the end, hoping things would improve. Unfortunately, they didn't. I can't speak to the experience with other guides, and perhaps a different guide would have made all the difference. But for a paid tour in a city with such incredible history and folklore, we left feeling like we'd missed out on the experience we were so excited for. I really wish we'd chosen differently.

Really good tour with a great guide!

It was both an educational and fun tour! We learned a lot about the history of New Orleans and voodoo, vampires, and ghosts.

Very informative and fun. JJ was an incredible guide. Very thorough and made sure we had a safe and fantastic experience. He also gave a lot of great recommendations of what to do and where in town, especially for Halloween.

John was an awesome tour guide. Knew the city really well, brought great energy, and had his stories down to the detail. He also has a sick Louisiana accent that makes everything even better. I loved how he told the stories from multiple angles to give the most information possible and allow for the audience to come to their own conclusions about the veracity of the historical events. He delivered pretty much exactly what I was hoping for when I signed up for this tour: a (fun!) history lesson on the spooky past of New Orleans. It’s definitely worth it to do if you’re around. 10/10, no notes.

Wolfy was our guide. He was out of this world (pardon the pun!). He was entertaining, hilarious & wildly knowledgeable. We got to hear about New Orleans more sinister side , which is pretty sinister in a fun way. Would highly recommend this tour!!

Sooooooooo boring. It was awful.

We usually love ghost tours but not this one. Our group of 7 left early after our guide talked for 20 minutes straight at multiple stops and we stood there waiting as other groups came and went. He did not read the interest level of the group and bounced between random stories without really telling anything coherent or interesting.

Our tour guide was very informative, and the way she told the stories, at parts would make us laugh. When your talking about some dark history, humor is always appreciated. 10/10 would recommend.

Jon was great! This tour was awesome. The stories were interesting and engaging and moved at a great pace. John gave clear instructions on how we would navigate the busy sidewalks. He was super friendly and knowledgeable, and you could tell he really liked telling stories and loved his job. Definitely recommend!

This is a very cool New Orleans history tour with just enough vampire, ghost and true crime lore to keep it interesting. Ricardo was our guide and he was amazing! He’s so enthusiastic and passionate about New Orleans history with a flare of theatrics. Highly recommend this tour if you have 2 hours to kill and want to escape the bar hopping scene.

Wolfy was our guide and he did an excellent job. He made sure to distinguish between true crime facts and rumors; he was very entertaining and made the tour a fun experience. Highly recommend!

This was a great tour with lots of history on vampires, voodoo and hauntings in the buildings we saw. JJ was a fantastic guide and knows how to keep the group entertained and engaged! It was extra special as it’s spooky season! You’ll have a great time!

Wolfie was an AMAZING tour guide! He was hilarious, and he told NOLA's history in a thoughtful, well-rounded way. I especially appreciated how he acknowledged the complexities of racism, sexism, and classism, and how they've shaped common misconceptions about the city's past. He was also very responsive and interactive, which made it easy to stay engaged the whole time. I was completely captivated by his storytelling. Highly recommend!

Great experience full of history, intrigue, and horror. Our guide Jon kept us interested and organized; maintaining a great flow of captivating stories and allowing the flow of traffic around our group so we didn't block others. I highly recommend for others.

Super informative and fun , with dark tales about the city and those who walked her streets. Took a tour with Elaine and she was great. Brought a bunch of life into the stories and made you think. So many historic haunts and places that had horrible and scary pasts. If you are looking for an informative tour, plus a stop for a libation from Lafitte’s, then this tour is for you. Get ready to walk, learn and have a drink or two while you do it.
