I wish I had paid attention to the reviews instead of going on a friends recommendation. I got to this hotel on Friday July 26. I went up to my room and started to unwind. I tried to turn on the bedside lights, and they did not work. The only working light was the lamp across the room and the bathroom light. I immediately went down stairs and reported this to the receptionist. Her reply was “the maintenance man would come up tomorrow and fix them”. I told her that would not work for me and ask if I could change rooms. Her response was “no”. I returned to my room and tried to turn on the tv. There was “no signal”. Then I tried to connect to WiFi and there was “no signal”. I took my things and returned downstairs and told the lady that I wanted to check out. I had been there 30 minutes. They still ran my card for “ incidentals” $150. I ask for a refund, and she said she would have to talk to the manager about it on Monday. I paid $40 for off site parking, because there was no valet. The restaurant was not open, the bar was not open, so I ask here what could I possibly charge $150 for? I got in my car and drove back home. I emailed the hotel requesting a refund. I never heard back. I waited a couple of days, and sent another email and still no response. I have YET to get a refund. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE.

My husband and I are having a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room is beautiful, the view is perfect, and the overall experience exceeds our expectations. We definitely plan on returning. A special shoutout to Nathaniel at the front desk for his outstanding hospitality and customer service. He is an incredible help with everything and guides my husband in the right direction while planning my 30th birthday and our hotel stay. He truly goes above and beyond to make our experience special. This is the perfect location, and Nathaniel and staff’s kindness and professionalism make our stay even more memorable. We’ll absolutely be back, and a big reason for that is the amazing hospitality we receive. Thank you for helping make my birthday celebration so special!
I have stayed at the Troubadour Hotel for sometime, and it is an amazing option in the heart of New Orleans CBD. It is very centrally located. The Superdome is a 10 minute walk and also it's about a 10 minute walk to the French Quarter. Canal street is right around the corner. It is a great option if you want to be close to everything without being in the center of the party. The neighborhood has a selection of fantastic restaurants and coffee shops. The accommodations are nice. The rooms are large and beds very comfortable. The staff are also extremely friendly. The hotel appears to be going through a turn around and I'm excited to see the improvements they have planned. F&B outlets and the rooftop are currently closed, but there are a lot of options close by.
Booked this hotel to be near an event at the Superdome. The location is great with it being walkable to Canal and Bourbon Streets as well as the Superdome. However, we were disappointed to find out upon arrival that the restaurant bar and restaurant were closed so there would be no breakfast or any other food or drink service except for the little hotel mart (drinks, snacks etc). We grabbed drinks from the cooler one afternoon and stood at the desk for over 10 min waiting to purchase them and ultimately walked away because there was no sign of anyone anywhere to help us. We also stopped at the desk one evening for more towels since 2 of our towels stocked in the room had fresh makeup on them upon unfolding them that wasn’t mine. They said they’d send towels up but they never came. The room itself wasn’t terrible. Our city view that we paid for was actually a parking lot so if you’re debating on paying for the view or not, it’s not worth it (even though it isn’t a huge price difference). The bathroom, however, was pretty dirty. The sink had grime in it that easily wiped away with a tissue which only tells me that housekeeping never even attempted to clean the sink. The open shelf under the sink was incredibly dirty and there was hair everywhere, including a glob of hair that looked like someone with long hair cleaned out their hairbrush and just tossed it on the floor. Again, that was neither mine or my husband’s hair. Ultimately, we had a cancelled flight at the end of our stay and instead of choosing convenience of just booking another night at The Troubadour, we opted to stay our extra night at a different hotel (on the same block, rhymes with Milton) because the price was the same but the hotel was significantly cleaner, more welcoming and friendlier. I’d only recommend this hotel based on location and even with that, there’s so many others to choose from.
The room decor great. Beds.. fabulously comfy.. the view? To die for, especially for someone who's largest home city is Anchorage Ak. I gave the 3 star on room because my reservation said "deep soaking tub", which NONE of the rooms actually have. I reserved two rooms and it stated both would have the tubs, instead I had a shower, which is cool but not my thing. The room had no other issues besides no bath tub which was a big selling point therefore I can't give above 3 stars. The staff incredibly professional, polite and knowledgeable. The location? Perfect walk for all of the french quarter from rampart to Decatur and everything in between. We did come back to our room being left with the deadbolt turned to keep the door open. We presume from housekeeping. Thankfully nothing was missing. There is no parking at this hotel, besides the valet parking for $50+ dollars each night. Find a close by lot on spothero for the best prices!
