This place is a scam. They defrauded me out of a refund. I showed up and could not check in early. I was finally able to check at 1600 and there was another family staying in my assigned room. The family double booked in my room stated the same thing happened to them and they had this room for a week. They also stated the “hotel” use the same room code for every room which is a security risk. They reported someone walked into their room accidentally. No one works there, so when I contacted the management company to resolve the issue, no one came to the room after an hour. I decided to leave since I wasn’t provided a room, and now they are refusing a refund. There scam seems to be based on the booking.com refund policy. Their policy is to reach out to the management property and if they don’t contact them back, then no refund is given. Additionally, the management company stated they no longer managed the property and I was in infinite loop of contacting two companies. The HVAC was inoperable with a temperature of 85 degrees F. The elevator screamed as we got to the third floor. It took three minutes before it opened. I have filed complaints with every organization that is willing. DO NOT STAY HERE. At best you might get scammed like I did but at worst you could actually get a room and have someone walk into it (every room has the same entry code). This is a dangerous and illegal business. Taji with one star reviews, check this place out.

The only thing that was nice about this place was the look of the room. Different guest were given the same rooms and codes. The air conditioning was broke room was reaching 95 degrees. Called the number we received for any questions or complaints and there is very unhelpful people you can barely understand. All they do is apologize for the inconvenience and lead you nowhere. Two separate times we came back from an outing and another group of people or family were in our room. There is no actual way to contact anyone that is in charge or someone that will get anything done. Dont book a stay here! Save your family and friends from the headache and major inconveniences.
There is so much to say about this stay. Positives: 1. The room itself is nice, spacious, and clean. It was the perfect size for our family of 6. It was comfortable and modern feeling. 2. The location was convenient, only a couple blocks away from Canal street, and a trolley ride to the other areas of the city. The block its actually sitting on feels a little sketchy, but not bad. Negatives: 1. We were never given check in instructions. We sat in the parking lot trying to get the info to access the entrance and room. After speaking to a rep who could we could barely understand, we accessed the building. The info she gave us was wrong, and finally figured it the details in our own. 2. There was an alarm beeping loudly on the first floor for the first few hours of our stay. Calls were made again, messages were sent. Nothing. I finally looked around ands dialed the alarm myself through randomly pressing buttons on an alarm system that didn’t work correctly. 3. There was no toilet paper in the room. We had to dig around in boxes on the unmanned “desk” area. 4. No washcloths, hand towels, or extra towels. We’ll need to bring your own and bring washing detergent for bath towels. 5. No assigned parking. You’ll have to park in a paid lot or parking deck. Plan for additional costs in this area. 6. One of the showers leaked and flooded the bathroom every time we showered. No reason to let the property know, because the communion was so terrible. 7. The pictures you see on this listing are NOT from the unit you might be assigned. Don’t get too attached to the listing pictures. Overall, everything worked out, but the hassles and issues we had during our stay would definitely keep me from booking this again. Save yourself the stress and book somewhere else.
Beware!!! Do not take the risk and waste your money. We booked this hotel and were left stranded in the parking lot at night for hours. We contacted customer service many times for help, and were told to wait for an email with the access code to get in & we weren’t sent the email until 5am the next morning!!! We had to spend another $400 on a different hotel that night because of this. They also will not give us a refund, so now we have to dispute it through our bank! Please don’t waste your time and money here it’s not worth it at all!!
Horrific customer service with Oyo. Never got check in instructions. Went into a maze of phone calls and it ended in not getting any help at all. They even provided us with a number to a Motel 6. We had to book a different hotel temporarily while we attempted to figure out how to check in. We eventually got check in instructions around 1 PM the day of check in via email. The space is great! it is clean and well maintained. Still keeping it as 1 star because of the lack of clear communication and the terribly trained employees. Until 1PM, we were not even sure if we had a place to stay.
