DO NOT STAY HERE! This place was just awful. From first impression through checking out it was absolutely terrible. Dirty floors, broken plumbing, uncomfortable beds. It was entirely unpleasant throughout. They mixed up my check-in information with a different guest so my code to get in the front door did not work. I had to call their 800 number and spend 20 minutes on the phone while standing outside in New Orleans in August. I literally had to convince them to let me in. Oh the irony.

They canceled my original stay two days before we arrived due to maintenance issues and told us they moved my group to a similar space with the same number of beds, and a bit more room. But less than 12 hours before arriving I had seen our reservation had changed. I asked and they said they had made a mistake and had moved us again. Why they only mentioned it when I directly asked about it is beyond me but it gets worse. This time it was a smaller place, meaning less space and not enough beds for my group. When I called to explain that my group couldn’t fit into this space but they said there was nothing they could do at the time and this was the only available space. the person I spoke to assured me they could get us an extra mattress for the floor and that my request for a refund of the difference in cost ~$700 would be considered. Only to find out at 1am my request had been denied after some back and forth they offered us a measly 10% which I found insulting. they continued to say wanted to move us again to try and resolve it but at this point I could not trust that if I agreed to this move that they wouldn’t just changed it again before we arrived. I contacted Airbnb support to get a full refund. I would rather sleep on the streets than stay at a Roami location.
I would strongly caution anyone considering staying here. Upon arrival, we discovered that the bathroom door in our bedroom was completely broken and could not be closed at all, which was both inconvenient and a privacy issue. The bedding was also unacceptable—the sheets were visibly dirty and even had blood stains on them. The most concerning issue, however, was security. One evening we left the apartment and returned to find the TV turned on. At the time, we couldn’t explain how it happened and assumed it might have been a malfunction. Later, we learned the far more troubling explanation. During our stay, two separate families entered our apartment using the exact same entry code that had been assigned to us. One of these incidents occurred at approximately 4:00 AM. It became clear that multiple guests had been given access to our unit, meaning someone had almost certainly entered the apartment while we were away without our knowledge. The combination of poor cleanliness, maintenance issues, and what appears to be a serious failure in access control made for a very uncomfortable stay. The security concern alone is enough that I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend it to others.
Roami at Motorworks is a design lover's dream! The conversion of this historic industrial space is incredible—the high ceilings, exposed brick, and massive windows give it such a cool, authentic Warehouse District vibe. The apartment was huge, impeccably decorated, and felt much more like a luxury home than a hotel. If you want a stay with actual character and style, this is the place.
The room was below my expectations. Charged as much or more than one of the chain hotels, with way less to offer. The location was good. Everything else was very disappointing as far as the rooms concern. I would not recommend. I realize the location is historical, however basic maintenance of the property not good
