I am grateful that the Embassy in Baton Rouge is undergoing renovations, as it was much needed. I hope that when they reach the stage of renovating the rooms, they will replace the carpet with laminate wood flooring to eliminate any persistent odors. Additionally, I suggest installing a sliding door to create more space in the bathroom. Nonetheless, the omelet chef, an African American male, is a significant reason for my return. Along with front desk staff warm greetings and prompt check-in. The breakfast served here is of excellent quality and truly enjoyable. I eagerly anticipate the overall success of these improvements.

In my humble opinion, this Embassy Suites is not currently up to the expected standard for Hilton. But, it is being renovated, so perhaps it will be as is typical of Embassy Suites. I really enjoyed breakfast ... made to order eggs (omelet, or eggs any style) using real eggs or you can get just egg whites from a carton. The regular breakfast bar was also good. Plus many self serve options. The coffee was very good. I also used the guest laundry service, which was a lifesaver.
Pros: The staff are incredibly friendly and seem to try and accommodate guests to the best of their ability. The reception and breakfast quality were good. Cons: The actual facilities are awful. Pool: The hot tub was cold and the pool is lined with tile which made it very difficult to stand in. My kids were happy so not a big deal. But there’s a back door that some kids used to let about three or four random adults and other kids into the pool area which felt awkward and a little unsafe, especially with my kids. Probably should be more secured. The room: We use the accesible rooms for our kids, but the shower did not have a mat to prevent slipping and my wife took a hard fall in the shower. I felt the bottom of the shower and it was incredibly slick. Also, the lock looked like it was pried out of the door and the TV did not get all of the channels. The explanation we got from facilities is that the channels degrade on the higher floors. They ended up switching our room to a different accessible room, which was fine until we found a cockroach approximately two inches long crawling on the wall the next morning. We were pretty fed up at that point. Breakfast/Reception: The staff serving breakfast was very pleasant, but you don’t serve yourself like most Embassy Suites. I think the staff was attempting to do the best they could, but the state of the building is extremely poor. From what I understand, the property is under renovation, but it definitely did not appear in shape to have guests with all of these factors. One of the worst Embassy Suites, but I do not think it is on the front line service staff, as they appeared to try and accommodate or remedy any issue.
Where do I start. Upon arrival checked into room, went to our first game. Came back for bed and pulled out the sofa bed for my son to get his rest and behold pissy sheets and mattress. The tub was pealing, the drain was slow, the hallway carpet was sour and a whole lot of more things needed to be upgraded. Day 2 I didn’t want room service. So the day was ok. Day 3 I had packages to come. I was at game and I called and told them I would pick them up once we got back. I got there and received my packages. So the next day I didn’t realize it was 3 packages until I opened them and was missing something. I look at the picture Amazon had took upon delivering them and there was the other package in the photo. I go to ask about it, it was on another side where the staff on duty said they shouldn’t be.( they should have been placed together) This same day before leaving and returning I asked for room service. When we got to the room we had to go to the ceremony after the game. They took the towels and rags with no replacements and it was stains on the new pillow cases and no towels clean at 5:00pm. (Why take the others and it wasn’t any replacements) I called they said ok we’ll send someone. I waited 30 mins no one came. I went downstairs, only to be told they had none clean. At this point “HEY I NEED THE MANAGER” “ oh their not here, I’ll have them to call you” I checked out today (Sunday) Been waiting on a call since Friday. I also was promised to have 10,000 points for my inconvenience after check out. No points. Worse hotel I’ve EVER STAYED IN. July 8-12 never again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stayed for one night while traveling home. The staff was great no problem there. However the floor we were on should have been closed down. Whoever is attempting to do sheetrock and painting left a mess everywhere on the 8th floor. Had dust everywhere including our room. Front door to our room leaks hot air. Bathroom door had to be forced shut. A/c vents were sweating while not getting cold in the room. Lobby vents have dirt and other "growth". I feel bad for the staff as they were great. There is definitely a lot of room for improvements gave a 2star for location as I was not there visiting so could not speak to how convenient it would be to anything local.
