Our visit started with Tiffany at the desk, and ended with Anthony with shuttle. They are both great and friendly people !! Very helpful and professional. The room was great - clean and ready for us to crash. The lobby was clean and welcoming and the bar is right there - for those who might partake in such things. There is a little snack area with cold drinks and snacks. They do have a free shuttle to and from the airport - this can be important for some Travelers. As with some areas there is a parking fee - even for guests, something like $15 or so. They have extended parking if you need to leave your car there whilst you fly elsewhere - you do not have to be a guest to utilize this. It's easy to find - right off the interstate. Lotsa places to eat right there with McDonald's right across the street. There are plenty of other options that are ready to get to.

This is a "Hilton" by name only. This hotel was kind of run down, only 1 elevator was working. The best thing about this stay was Nicole at the front desk. She worked her butt off to get my 2 rooms ready and available. Nicole is the shinning light here. Food in the resturant was decent, but nothing to write home to about. I ordered the chicken tenders, BBQ flavor and they were kinda funky, not bad but just funky. The best meal here came from McDonalds across the street. This hotel could use some upgrades/updates to bring it into the "game". I've stayed in a few "Hilton" places, but this is a Hilton in name only. As a Hilton Honors Members I only stayed here to get the Hilton points, but wish I had went to the real Hilton, closer to the airport. I wish it would let me give it a half star, because it would be 2 1/2 stars. Location is a 4 because of the resturants within walking distance, an ExxonMobil and Shell gas station relatively close, and you're only a couple miles from the airport. Maybe it's just me, but you weren't supposed to smoke in the room, but you could really smell Marijuana in out room.
Great Stay I’ve stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton New Orleans Airport at least four times now, and every visit has been a great experience. The front desk staff is always friendly, professional, and welcoming, which really makes a difference when you’re traveling. The rooms have consistently been clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the overall hotel is always a pleasant place to stay. I appreciate the consistency and great service every time I come back. Definitely one of my go-to hotels when I’m in the New Orleans area. Highly recommend!
I’d like to start by saying that the staff members were all friendly and helpful; this review reflects more on the condition of the hotel room and amenities offered than on the service. It should be clearly stated that the shuttle cannot pick up customers in the shuttle area at MSY. It took an hour to actually get the shuttle. In my room, there was mold in the bathroom, holes in the walls, missing artwork with metal brackets sticking out of the wall, slashed up lampshades, and it wasn’t very clean. The phone didn’t work properly so I couldn’t reach the front desk or call for room service. I went downstairs to ask the questions I had and my phone never got fixed. The iron was broken and the ironing board was dirty enough that it made my shirt dirty when I went to try and iron it. The food is overpriced for the quality level. I was also not told any information about breakfast, the shuttle back to the airport, the wifi, etc. On the positive side I’d again like to again mention the friendliness of the staff; additionally, the bed was decently comfortable. Overall, I was hopeful that this would be a clean and comfortable place to stay after a long-haul travel day, but unfortunately it did not live up to basic expectations. I’d hoped for better given the price of the room and reputation of the hotel chain. I’m disappointed.
I stayed at this hotel recently and was disappointed with several aspects of my experience, especially considering the price point. The room alone cost $157 for one night and did not include breakfast. The room did not have a microwave and appeared outdated, which did not align with expectations for the rate charged. When my guest and I attempted to eat breakfast at the hotel, we were informed it was not complimentary and were charged over $20 per person, totaling approximately $50 for two people. While we understood the breakfast was not included, the experience itself was uncomfortable and unprofessional. Before even being seated, we asked to charge breakfast to our room. The staff member questioned whether we would be able to do so. Shortly after, a guest of a different race requested the same accommodation and was allowed to charge their breakfast to their room without any hesitation. This interaction felt discriminatory and set a negative tone for the rest of our breakfast. Additionally, after paying $50 for breakfast, we asked to take a plate back to our room. While other staff members attempted to assist us by offering to-go plates, the same employee followed us to the front desk and continued to question and confront us. This behavior felt unnecessary and harassing, and it prevented us from enjoying the experience. Overall, the service we received during breakfast overshadowed the stay. For the price paid, I expected a more modern room and, most importantly, respectful and equitable treatment from staff. Unfortunately, this was not the case.
