If you’re looking for a fun, healthy slice of entertainment in Cabo, stop scrolling and book the Yo Ho Pirate Sunset Dinner Cruise! As a frequent flyer to Cabo, I wanted to switch things up and surprise my group with tickets to this floating fiesta in Cabo San Lucas. Honestly? If you’ve got young children (ranging anywhere from age 5 to 50), this is an absolute must-do. Even though our crew didn't have any tiny tots with us, watching the kids' faces light up as the cast brought the magic to life was half the fun. Those pirates really know how to include everyone! A quick tip on booking: The ticketing process is a little clunky with a few different sites floating around out there. Just stay calm, look out for those reassuring confirmation emails, and you’ll be golden. I won't spoil all the hidden treasures, but here are a few major highlights: The Crew: The performers (I mean, pirates) are ridiculously personable and seriously talented. The Vibe: The boat was totally packed, meaning it’s a bit of a cozy, shoulder-to-shoulder situation, but the energy was so high that everyone was having an absolute blast. The Grub: Let’s be real—dinner on themed cruises can sometimes taste like cardboard. But the food here was surprisingly good! It’s crowd-pleasing, unpretentious, and mild enough for pretty much any palate. The Show & Scenery: The bilingual show (delivered in both English and Spanish at a wonderfully frantic, high-octane pace) keeps you hooked with jaw-dropping stunts. Plus, cruising past the famous Cabo Arch as a magnificent sunset paints the sky? Total perfection. Final Pro-Tip: Bring some extra cash along for fun photo ops and to leave some well-earned tips for the hardworking crew and performers who make the night unforgettable. 10/10 would pillage and sail again! 🌊🦜

This is amazing trip! We had a great time. Have a wonderful show. Amazing food and delicious drink.
I went with my husband, and it was a great experience, to begin with they started on time, the crew was fantastic, all of them were very kind and they were always checking on us, if we need a drink or anything. I had a lot of fun the photographer took us amazing pictures and Captain Shark was very fun!! I totally recommend it!
The YoHo Pirate Adventure is an absolute gem for families. We did it with my two kids (14 and 11 years old) and it was one of the best activities we’ve tried here. From the pirate briefing to taking the helm, Pete made our experience immersive and thrilling! We enjoyed the cruising past Yacht Avenue, the cheeky “Washing Machine,” the Jet Blast at Cupecoy, and finished with a nice swim near La Samanna. No experience needed, just a bold spirit! Safe, fun, and incredibly memorable. Loved it and definitely recommend!
The entertainment on the ship was great! and you can't beat the scenery of the arch at sunset. The food was good, but hard to eat - it is served on a plate in your lap and you're given only a fork. Much of it was too tough to cut with a fork, so at best we could just pick at it. Overall it was fun, but would have been better without the 'dinner' part.
Show was great the food was so so pork was very tough. Coleslaw was very sweet pork ribs were good. enjoy the show. The guys on the ship were very friendly and great service.
The pirate ship sunset dinner cruise was a lot of fun and the food was very good! We enjoyed a great view of the arch and the sunset. I would highly recommend it!
This was a fun sunset dinner cruise. Amazing food. Not a ton of drinking, which we are thankful for. The show was fun. The ad talked about some history being shared which it wasn't. But it was a good family friends dinner cruise.
We would like to thank the crew for a wonderful time aboard the ship. If was a highlight of our trip defiantly one of the best shows, we have been too. The food was very good and lots if you wanted 2nds. The staff were professional and also very engaging. Thank you the Borsuks
It was fun! But the ship was extremely crowded so I was on the back corner and couldn’t see the show.
The food was not good for the price paid. Also the bartender kept arguing with several passengers about serving drinks. Drinks were also included in the purchase, there should have been no questions or arguments about serving drinks. Expected a better show, the pirate staff was very nice and friendly except for the bartender. Plus he kept leaving the bar to talk to one of the young birthday girls on board. Not worth your money.
This was so much fun! The Captain and crew were great with service and the show! Try to sit towards the middle of the ship. The food is great! Mostly beer available- you can ask for other drinks but it’s open bar so drink up me hearties! Know before you go- there is a $5 dock fee you pay per person at check in. $30 professional photo on board- she takes great photos of your family in front of the arch. Bring cash for tipping!!
We were a bit apprehensive that this would be just a loud music party boat, but it turned out to be a lot of fun. There were two different pirate ships on the water, and there were no tables, only a long bench around the ship. So, you had to eat with your plate in your lap. The food was okay, but we didn’t go on this tour for the food. We did it because of the sunset in the bay, and the pirate ship seemed like it would be fun. It’s family-friendly, and the crew was great. There was a photo opportunity at the arch, which was nice.
Besides having pay extra to get to other side port this was amazing trip. Kids of all ages loved it. Saw many adults having great time to.
Tried to do a pirate cruise. Was all excited and somehow the booking was messed and we were charged for a double booking and never got to go on the cruise
Great show and food the crew was amazing and entertaining we had a great time with our friends. The little kids on the boat really enjoyed the pirate show.
Amazing, unique experience! My whole family (ages 15 months up to 75) loved it! Food was great, pirates are so entertaining, views were spectacular. Definitely a lot of booze, loud music but they involve the kids in the show and is overall such a fun family adventure in Cabo!
This beautiful sunset pirate boat ride was one to remember! They involved the guests and made it engaging while putting on a great show! Great for families :)
Was a fun adventure. Great for the whole family. Food was great and we even got to see whales. Was a little difficult to eat on your lap, but not a big deal. They get everyone involved and it was a great time.
This was our last excursion on this trip and wished it was the first as we would have canceled all others! We saw whales, had entertainment, good food, fun crew and other tourists and a beautiful sunset! Usually it's hard to get 5 stars from both of us and the Yellow Buckaneer Queen Ship did it! When we go back, definitely doing again and on the Buckaneer Queen!
I have a lot to say about the Red Pirate Ship Veracruz. It's not normally my style to comment, but I think this occasion is necessary. The crew is well-trained to dance, but not to serve as waiters or chefs (or bartender). The service is terrible. When I ordered food, they served me pork ribs, chicken strips, mashed potatoes, and steamed vegetables in a plastic bucket, like I was a prisoner. It looked unappetizing and unhygienic. The food tasted bad, and when I asked for something else, they didn't have anything. They didn't care. They also didn't provide a blanket when I asked for one because it was cold (other, cheaper boats offer this basic service). Before arriving at the port, they closed the open bar. I only had three beers, which I had to get up and ask for at the bar because the service is terrible. They closed the bar 30 minutes before returning to the port, or at least they denied me another drink. This is a totally bad experience. Other boats are cheaper and offer better food quality, shows, and service. I work in hospitality, and honestly, I wouldn't recommend this pirate ship.
Honestly so fun. The guys who were the pirates were legit professional break dancers and it was very entertaining. We were very impressed and the food was pretty good as well!!
The dinner cruise well organized on time and very well prepared. The entertainment very energetic with a fun atmosphere
We have done pirates all over MX, this by far was the worst. First off characters don't have costumes, servers on cell phones most of the time. You get on and are given some cucumber water drink, bar not open and if you ask for a drink they say No.. You get on, choose where to sit and see the crew, almost no costumes and no drinks. Finally get a drink, then we went out to the arch, which was cool, but the photographer was trying to get shots to later sell to you by the arch with each group, this took forever. We didn't get to go out by the yellow boat to see any sunset, NOT a sunset cruise with NO sunset view. After this they did a little intro, did a jump rope thing, which was fun, then got ready for supper.. which was the worst we have ever had on a pirate cruise or any excursion in MX, dry chicken, (which they said was pelican and hopefully joking) hard to eat ribs with not meat on them, dry dinner roll, some veggies, cold mashed potatoes..All trying to eat with no table or anywhere to set your plate or drink! After this meal, they did their little show, some good acrobatics, but not a pirate show.. and again during this you couldn't get drink service.. unless you sat by the bar. After the show, they asked for tips and they did a little group thing and made way to dock. Again we have done 7 or 8 pirate shows prior in MX and Florida..normally it's good entertainment with good food, but for $100 a person, this one was not worth it, Puerto Vallarta, Cozumel, Cancun are by far 100 times better and have better service and crew, dressed in costumes and in character the whole time, from check in.at the desk, waiting on line, up by the dock and up until you leave after their performance, never on cell phones. Not saying the whole show was horrible, the actors did do a good performance, besides lame lack of costumes.. But it definitely was not worth the price. Not sure if the yellow boat was better, we were on the red boat. We always recommend these shows to people wherever we travel in MX, but this one definitely will tell people to stir clear.
Celebrated my son's birthday on board. They called all the celebrants and serenade them a happy birthday both in english and Spanish. The pirate ship is amazing! My son enjoyed it and will never forget the experience.
We book a dinner cruise on a pirate ship with Wild Cabo Tours. This cruise was the highlight of our visit to Cabo. The food was good, the scenery was great and we really enjoyed the pirate show after dinner. If we go back to Cabo, we will book another cruise with Wild Cabo Tours.
great crew, outstanding food, ship a little smaller than past pirate excursions. a little awkward eating on your lap.
We had so much fun on the Yo Ho Pirate Sunset Dinner Cruise. There was sufficient space on the ship so it felt comfortable. We sat in the middle seat when you enter the ship and as one reviewer had recommended and it was the best place on the ship to view the pirate show! I was amazed at how fast the staff served drinks and dinner to all passengers. The dinner was great and was quite an assortment which included ribs, pork, chicken, vegetables and mashed potatoes. I thought they would only have beer and wine as pointed out by reviewers, but they had frozen margaritas that included a variety of flavors. We tried them all (mango, strawberry, pineapple, etc.) Those drinks hit the spot! The staff kept the drinks coming which I appreciated it. The staff kept us engaged with different activities including the actual pirate show which was about 20 minutes long. We also got to see the Arch and just enjoy a pleasant evening on the waters of Cabo San Lucas.
Beautiful sights, good food & drink, fun outgoing, interactive pirates. Amazed by the athleticism of the pirates. Definitely recommend!
this was an awesome event!!! i definitely would recommend. the food was great, the entertainment was top notch.
We enjoyed the food and the entertainment. They made everyone feel welcome and a part of the event. Only suggestion: The couple next to us were vegetarian and they didn't have much of a main meal, I recommend offering a vegetarian protein option.
This adventure was worth every penny. The crew were great characters and friendly. Phenomenal service every minute. We recommend 10/10. The food was delicious. The drinks never stopped.
Thinking this was going to be a fun experience, but it was not what I expected or read before booking. The trip was alittle cheesy, it was not made for adults, unless you have small children. The drinks (mixed) were watered down, and you were limited on choice of beer. The food was horrible, the promotion made it look like you could choose your food (buffet) but they handed you your food on a plate which was cold when served. Almost everyone threw their food away. The only bright spot was the actors/entertainment were entertaining, but if you didn’t sit towards the middle, it was very hard to see. Would not recommend for adults looking for a nice sunset cruise.
Amazing show, decent food too. The cast was great. Acrobatics at sea!! Take a jacket it gets cooler later in the excursion.
Our transportation guide, CAMACHO #01, was hilarious! A very professional, safe driver but still, hilarious! The Pirate Show was very entertaining. The sunset was just gorgeous. We even saw some whales. When you go on this fun adventure, I hope you have Camacho pick you up from your hotel.
All around fun and fantastic experience. Highlights were seeing the arch and the sunset, the fantastic show and choreographed dancing, body strenght and fights with very talented pirates, including fire dancing (ship is fire proof!). Great music, a good dinner and free drinks. We all had a great time!
We sat in back by bathrooms which is behind the bar- couldn't see entertainment once it started. Ate with plates on lap- food good. What we could see of entertainment good. Several adult games with tequila drinking i have nothing against this- just not exactly geared towards kids. Staff all seemed awesome just not sit up for everyone to have good view. Sit in front of boat.
The entertainment was wonderful. The drinks were great and the wait staff kept them coming. The food was tasty, but you had to eat with the plate on your lap.
Okay, so this is ultimately a great experience EXCEPT for a few key things. The reservation CLEARLY states to arrive NO LATER than 30min. prior to the sailing time so that there is ample time to process through reservation verification and board the ship. This is EXACTLY what we and 99% of our fellow pirate cruise passengers did. But only to wait in line after reservation verification for an additional 30min beyond the expected sailing time, on the dock. As pirate crew members walk back and forth from the ship to the bar and then back to the ship again and again. To then FINALLY board the ship now 30min. later than the expected sailing time and a whole hour later than the required 30min. early arrival time. WHY would we need to arrive an entire hour early only to watch crew members walk back and forth from ship to bar and to ship again? I feel this could be handled far better with a more attentive dock crew. While on board the crew was very welcoming and provided a great experience. Now, this is a dinner cruise and dinner is served in a fairly efficient and well-managed process. It starts with drinks and now that you have your drink you receive your plate, your fork, now they come around with various options all great food. BUT!! you have ABSOLUTELY nowhere to put anything! In one hand you have your drink, in the other your plate, full of food and your fork. With your hands full, how are you expected to eat? It's not like you can simply rest your plate on your lap and eat! YOU'RE ON A BOAT IN THE OCEAN! it doesn't stop moving this way and that, AT ALL! Did I forget to mention there are SO MANY people on board with you? You're literally shoulder to shoulder if not sitting on top of one another as the boat rocks back and forth, tossing folks against each other. There is nowhere to place your drink! It will be, 100% for sure, knocked over. So, lick the food off your plate I suppose! Simple cup holders placed around the ship would solve this issue! Perhaps even a few small bar-height tables strategically placed around the ship would even help SO MUCH! Hell! Even a damn shelf here or there would be WAY better than wearing your food the rest of the night because you attempted to eat with a plate of food on your lap while on a rocking and tossing and turning boat! The entertainment while on board is great and the pirates put on a great, all-be-it, cheesy show. All in all, it was a great experience overall. They just need to put a little more thought into a few things, then they'll be an AMAZING experience!
We did this tour tonight with our resort (Royale Solaris). It was the worst experience we have ever had when visiting Mexico. They loaded 110 people onto this medium sized boat. Drove us alll out to the arc then kept us out there bobbing around in the waves for 2 more hours. Half the boat was sick. Many people were wanting to go back to the marina. We told the “pirates” multiple times and they refused. Continuing with a ridiculously long show. One of them dropped the food they were supposed to serve for dinner. They still preceded to feed everyone whatever else they had but with no utensils. I could go on but to sum it up don’t do this tour. It was horrible.
I was really excited about this dinner and show but was very disappointed. The things I thought I was getting: 1. Seeing the Arch 2. Sailing on a pirate ship 3. Dinner 4. A pirate themed show Things I got: 1. We did see the arch. Had we not been proactive we wouldn't have though. It was so close to dark and our side of the ship hadn't turned yet to face it so we pushed our way onto the other side so we could get a quick picture. Had we waited we wouldn't have been able to see it. 2. It's not a pirate sailing ship. It's a boat decorated... half heartedly...with pirate themed stuff. It is a gas powered vessel. We were seated at the very back of the boat behind the bar and I got an instant headache from the fumes. It got a bit better when we started moving but the smell and fumes had already done the damage to my head and stomach. The boat is not clean. It looks like it's falling apart. But I guess maybe that's pirate charm? It is a small boat and there are no tables. Everyone is crammed in on benches around the edge. Nothing to lean on. Just a bench and a net behind you. 3. We got dinner... mostly. They started off with an appetizer of a small piece of corn on the cob. They ran out before they got to us so we didn't get appetizers. Plates are passed out and the crew serve you out of buckets and slop the food on your plate. I suppose that is more pirate charm but it wasn't really presented that way. The food was edible and you sat on your bench holding your plate and juggling your drink. We were seated behind the bar, between the trash cans and restrooms. So as edible as the food might have been, between the the trash, and toilets and general uncleanliness of the ship, it was not a pleasant experience. And the soda was flat. 4. We got no show. I was willing to hold judgement on everything because I was excited about the show, but as stated before, we were behind the bar. The show happens in the middle of the ship in front of the bar and we could see none of it. I couldn't understand any of what was happening and occasionally saw feet in the air so I guess there was acrobatics. I know there was fire involved because the performers were staging right in front of us. They were putting out their flaming swords and balls on a wet towel at my feet beside the trash cans. But that's it. No show. I just got to watch the staff wash dishes. That's what I could see. If you get on the ship and the only seats that are left are behind the bar, you might as well turn around and get off. I messaged the company and asked for a partial refund (we did eat and see the arch) and was basically told so sad, too bad. A lot of people seemed to be enjoying themselves. So I guess if you're at the front of the boat ...or at the back of the boat and drunk ...it would be fine. 100% do not recommend.
This was a really fun experience!! Our 8 and 6 year olds were called up to be part of the show. Very kid friendly and entertaining. The pirates had great energy and were incredible dancers. A beautiful evening out on the water and gorgeous views. Fun for birthday or anniversary celebration. Dinner and drinks served on the ship.
Not worth the time or money the food was terrible everyone handed their plates back untouched. I’ve seen way better shows on the streets of Las Vegas. It was the longest two hours of our lives. They sat in the bay with the boat rocking up and down instead of a tour of Cabo coast line as described. I’d love my $495 back.
Food was not good. It was more of an acrobatic show. Drinks were watered down. This is my 4th pirate cruise & my least liked.
The entertainment was wonderful! The food and drinks were great. This is an experience you don’t want to miss! The dancing at the end of the show was so much fun!
I’m so glad we selected this dinner cruise to the Arch instead of so many of the alternatives. We were entertained from the moment we walked on the dock by this band of tough but friendly pirates. They had cold fruit juice when we boarded, refreshing for kids and grownups alike. Once underway the bar was open for a variety of mixed or blended drinks, beers, or non-alcoholic selections. The cruise to the Arch was smooth and the sunset was fantastic. The dinner was not fancy, but the ribs, chicken, potatoes, veggies were all tasty and substantial. I have a picky eater in my family who found plenty of good things to eat. Did I mention the entertainment? Captain Shark kept the peace between his quarrelsome pirates, told some tales, and MC’d a pretty ragin’ dance party! It was nicely family oriented- fun for all ages. They spoke great English and Spanish. We recommend this cruise because it was charming and entertaining. One last comment to the operator: I was really impressed with amazing teamwork of the staff. Everyone had multiple jobs from operating the ship, safety, delivering a hot meal, and putting on a complicated show. The staff worked hard and made it look easy (and it was clearly well coordinated). Thanks to all of them!
Golden hour on the water with a friendly crew and beautiful view! Then some dinner and a show. We had a smashing time. Definitely recommend!!
Great experience Crew and entertainment was worth the experience. Very good recognizing anniversaries and birthdays. Also made the kids feel good.
The hotel concierge sent me in the wrong direction and failed to get me to the group and I did not particpate....I want a refund
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food was good and the drinks are amazing. The show is spectacular. A great experience for all ages
