Whale Watching In Cabo San Lucas

It was amazing, We saw so many whales jumping. It’s worth the adventure. We would do this again. I can’t wait to return to Cabo’s.

Miguel was great at spotting whales and he had so much interesting information to tell us about whales. The boat was small and pretty rough at the beginning, but by the end it was worth it, we saw several whales. I think Miguel was more excited than us about seeing the whales! He seems to love his job.

I was a bit worried booking at the end of March, thinking whale activity might be low—but wow, what an experience! Captain Javier was amazing—super friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. He not only found whales for us, but even taught us how to spot them ourselves, which made the whole experience even more special. We ended up having a private tour since no one else joined, which made it feel even more personal and fun. From start to finish, everything was seamless. Julian greeted us, clearly explained where to go (including the dock fee), and guided us to the boat—such a great first impression. Overall, an unforgettable experience with a fantastic team. We would definitely book with them again!

The trip got off to an anxious start as my boat was late and I was the only one waiting for the 2:00 PM departure. However, once the boat arrived I was off to a wonderful few hours watching whales and visiting the Arch with nobody blocking my view as I was the only passenger!

This was a great experience. The Captain and Guide both worked hard to make sure we saw whales. We were not disappointed!!!

The staff was fantastic and knowledgeable. They helped my 76 year old mother and catered to her as if she were their mother. The whales were beautiful and the driver knew where to find the best spots for viewing. I would highly recommend this tour.

What a great experience and crew! Julian and Jesus were energetic and found us a bunch of whales, dolphins, and sea lions all in the same area away from all the other boats.

I ended up going out on the boat alone as the other passengers did not show up. I had a private boat trip and it was fantastic. Spent 2 hours watching a mama and baby humpback playing in the sea and also some larger males later on. Visited the arch briefly and watched some sea lions surfing behind the boats. The whole experience was fantastic and Xavier was kind and a safe driver

Our guide and captain were great. We weren’t much luck seeing whales but they were determined to find some. We soon realized why there were no whales. We actually encountered Orca’s!. We got some great views and photos. Even the captain and guide were surprised. Lucky for us we had great whale sightings from our hotel, but to see the Orcas was amazing.

The tour was fantastic. Clem was an excellent guide, exceptionally knowledgeable. The whales were extremely active. It was a wonderful experience.

We had a great experience with Javier on the Arrecife. Or cruise ship was late getting to Cabo and we missed our excursion and they rescheduled for the next morning. We were able to see a lot of humpback whales surfacing and jumping out of the water. One even swam next to our boat. Javier was a great guide and knew right where to go. The boat was very clean and well maintained. We had a great experience and wished it didn’t have to end. Thank you!

Can get wet! Great crew found lots of whales. Pretty choppy when we were out little rough getting back to port. Bring a jacket.

Had a great time. Saw lots of whales and were lucky to come across a pod of whales that were breaching.

Our tour guide was great. He used his GoPro to film under water and shared the videos of the whales and the sea lions under the water. It was a great experience.

Julian was our captain and guide. He stopped at several landmarks and took photos of our group. But more importantly, he brought us close to whales!! He is an excellent boat captain and guide! We highly recommend Julian!!

The tour was amazing. Clem somehow managed to get us a lot of whales. OMG, that was the most we saw (we have been on other tour before). Clem was excellent and gave us a lot of insight on the lives of the whales. I give her a 10 and would recommend her anytime 😊.

Clem was amazing and very knowledgeable! We were able to see so many whales up close, it was amazing! We even saw a whale swim under our boat and heard it sing. It was an adventure of a lifetime and it was all thanks to Clem and the captain! Totally worth the trip!!

This was the best whale watching experience ever! Clem’s enthusiasm and love for those mammals was palpable! We had an incredible show; they were so active. It was truly a spectacular time. I would go again just to see Clem’s face light up when they would jump in front of us!

Great whale watching tour. We were lucky enough to have a couple whales floating under the water near a boat. Clem took some good underwater videos to capture it. We also got to see many other whales doing various things. Would recommend Mako.

If you get seasick this may not be for you. When the boat stops to watch whales, the bobbing in the ocean can make some people queasy. Otherwise this is the excursion of a lifetime! This was our first trip to see the south migration of the whales. Boyz we were not disappointed. We saw so many whales. Clem was an extremely knowledgeable guide and happily answered all our questions with excitement and you can tell she really loves there majestic creatures. We're planning another trip with the kids and we will absolutely take this tour .

AMAZING! Clem was an insanely well educated and informative and friendly guide. She was helpful and was great at spotting spouts. Our captain, Israel, was able to get us close enough without cruising these gentle giants and we saw bonus many dolphins! Huge recommends from us!

This was a great day of whale watching. Our guide was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable and was infectious with her love of whales. We saw groups of humpbacks and had many good close up views. We learned a lot about whale behaviour. All in all it was a very good tour and I would not hesitate to go again.

Clem and the crew were exceptional! We saw a group of whales frolicking for what seemed to be hours…there was a large group of dolphins and we saw a marlin jump out of the water 4 or 5 times as we headed back into the marina. It was amazing and the crew was very knowledgeable and courteous. I recommend it very highly…once in a lifetime experience. Epic!!

This is an awesome experience. We saw many whales, bottlenose dolphins and a sea turtle! The whale watching was magical. Our captain was amazing. He gave them lots of space while also getting us near enough to take photos and enjoy the whales. Our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic!

Fantastic experience. Would recommend to everyone. Catherine was very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. Javier was an awesome captain and really knew where to take us to see the whales, dolphins, sea lions, and marlins. We were able to listen to the whale songs with their special water microphone. It was an amazing day and throughly worth every cent. Would do again.

Cathrine and Javier were excellent guides for our tour. Both knowledgeable and personable to English and Spanish speakers. I learned and saw more today than I have during my whole trip. This is a must for animal lovers and ocean enjoyers alike. This is the highlight of the trip for sure.

Amazing! I’ve been on about 20 whale watching trips and this was the best. The whales came right to our boat. They spy hopped and showed their flippers and tails. The boat is small so the captain can maneuver easily and find whales for you.

He tried so hard gotta hand it to him! When we first started a humpback breached in front of us close, no one even had thier cameras ready, unfortunately that was the only breaching we saw. He tried for over 2 hours and we did see whales but only the tails and a few backs but it was worth it. Recommended.

Julio was an excellent tour guide.we saw many large hump back Wales , even heard them singing Saw a mating pair hump back Wales I highly recommend this tour !!!

My sister and I had the pleasure of joining Captain Julian and a lovely couple on this whale watching tour. Captain Julian was so full of information about the area & the sea animals. He also had a sharp eye for the whales & spotted their blow when all we passengers saw was endless water. He gave picture recommendations & seemed genuinely concerned with us having a good time & seeing the whales & dolphins. I highly recommend this excursion with Captain Julian!

Great experience. Probably saw 20 whales. A PhD scientist was the guide and gave us so much interesting information. Well worth the expense.

The tour was wonderful. The men who ran the tour were informative, considerate and beyond our expectations. Julian is a scientist and he gave us many details about whales, their patterns etc. We saw many whales! It was a fabulous tour and I highly recommend every aspect of the experience.

It was absolutely amazing and the guys on the boat led by Jay ensured we spent time waiting and we saw 3 breaches and waving. Amazing experience and would highly recommend the experience.

My husband and I took this tour and it far exceeded our expectations. We heard that whale watching was okay in November so I wasn’t expecting much. Captain Julien is very knowledgeable and has an amazing eye for seeing the whales. We saw at least 12 whales!!! We also saw stingrays jumping and something’s dorsal fin! He also took us to the arch and let us take pictures. He is great with the camera and captured an amazing picture of my husband and I. You cannot beat the price. We were on the water for 2 and a half hours and I was so sad it ended. During our tour there was only one other couple so it was a small group which was really nice to have that more private tour. Captain Julien brought so much knowledge and passion for the sea creatures. I just cannot say enough good things about the tour!

Julien took us on an unforgettable tour. We went on (Nov 29th) and saw many whales!! Julien gave us information about the area and took us all around to the pacific side and sea of Cortez. We also saw some bonus wildlife like stingrays jumping! I cannot recommend this tour enough. This was truly one of the best tours we have ever been on! I would consider even doing it again!
