Visit Todos Santos Magic Town

This trip was absolutely memorable for my wife, our friends and I, Carlos was absolutely incredible and went above and beyond with the tour, explaining the history, showing us the local restaurants and bars, as well as bringing us to the secret beach which was absolutely stunning. Absolutely 5 stars all the way and definitely take this tour!!

This was my husband’s and my favorite experience we did in Cabo! Our tour guide Carlos was excellent. He made us feel so comfortable, took all the pictures we wanted for us, showed us awesome local places, and knew all the locals in town! 100% recommend booking this trip through good trips Baja, & request Carlos for your guide!!!

We had a great time visiting Todos Santos with Max! He was friendly, fun, and shared just the right amount of information without making us feel rushed. The buffet lunch was delicious, and the ice cream at the end was the perfect treat. Thanks, Max, for making it such a fun and memorable day and we’d definitely recommend this tour!

Carlos did a fantastic job. He picked me up from hotel and drove to Todos Santos. He described the countryside along the 1 hour drive. We visited the town and learned about its history.

We had Carlos as our tour guide and it was such a great day! He took us to some secluded beaches that were absolutely beautiful and he was very knowledgeable, providing information as we went. We also spent the afternoon in Todos Santos and ate at a restaurant that had the best margaritas and chile rellenos(also recommended by Carlos). We then visited some of the local artists and ended with a mezcal tasting. We will definitely book with Carlos again when we are back in the area.

I had not been back to Cabo in 20 years! Was excited to see it was just as comfortable and fun as before! Fished with Mahi Charters - and Cezar! Best day ever! Highly recommend. Hopped around to El Squid Roe, Happy Ending and of course the Cabo Wabo. Great service at all! Felt good to walk around and see the sites! Heading back to Cabo next February, counting the days now!

Max was an excellent guide. He was personable and his knowledge of the area was exceptional. He has developed relationships with locals that provided additional opportunities to enhance our experience. I would recommend this excursion whole heartedly.

Let me start off by saying our guide Carlos was phenomenal! He was very knowledgeable about Todos Santos and the history of it. He showed us some really great spots. Carlos reserved a table for us for lunch at an amazing restaurant called Tequila’s Sunrise. The food was literally the best we had on our whole trip to Cabo San Lucas. And don’t even get me started on the margaritas! You can’t go wrong with any of them. Carlos also took us to a couple of beaches that were off the beaten path and they certainly did not disappoint! I cannot say enough about this tour and Carlos, everything was absolutely perfect!

Carlos picked us up on time, offered water and snacks. He was a great tour guide, gave us history and fun facts about the places we visited.

This is a great little walking tour of the town. We went to several places and learned some of the history of the town. After the town tour we were taken to a little known beach to relax for a while.

Our visit to Todos Santos was enjoyable and informative. Matt was knowledgeable and very pleasant. We asked many questions on our drive and learned so much about the area and Todos Santos. The tequila tasting was especially interesting.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Todos Santos. Our private tour guide, Carlos, was awesome. He picked us up from our resort right on time. My husband and I were the only people on the tour, which made it very personal. Carlos made a slight detour on our way to Todos Santos and took us to a beautiful (somewhat hard-to-reach) beach, definitely off the beaten path. The beach was beautiful, and we got out and walked around and took some pictures. Carlos took us to all the sights in Todos Santos and allowed us to walk around as much as we wanted. He also recommended (and made our reservation for) lunch at Tequila Sunrise restaurant right in town. It was absolutely delicious, and maybe our best meal over the course of 2 weeks in Cabo/Los Cabos. We got to meet "Mr. Margarita" at the restaurant, and we enjoyed his specialty margarita made with Damiana liqueur during lunch. We had time to look around, saw the Hotel California, did some shopping, and simply explored this delightful small town. On the ride home, per my request, Carlos took us to Hotel Cristobal, which is right on the beach. I asked for this slight detour because a friend of mine had gotten married at this beautiful hotel/resort 2 years ago, and I wanted to see it in person. This was a wonderful tour, Carlos was a wonderful host/guide, and we'd do this tour again if we visit Cabo in the future. Thanks again, Carlos. From Gary and Tammy.

We had a delightful day with Max who was the perfect guide for a tour up the coast to see Todos Santos at our own pace. It was nice to have a private tour which could be customized to our interests. Max knew where to go and the best place to eat lunch. He was patient as we checked out various stores and galleries. On the way back he took us to an off road private beach which was spectacular with wild horses about. I cannot recommend his tour company highly enough.

The trip started with a visit to a completely empty beach save for wild donkeys and close-in whales. The ocean was quiet and it would have been a good place for swimming. There were sea turtle tracks in the sand. We continued into town where we visited some shops and galleries and then had the world's best lunch at Tequila Sunrise. After lunch there were more shops and galleries and finally a visit to Tequila Town where we had a very thorough discussion of the history of Mezcal and tequila and a wonderful tasting. The tour is very much customizable, depending on how physically adventuresome your group is, both Max and Carlos are fun guides, and they have excellent comfortable vehicles. We have also done their hot springs tour and it is excellent. They also offer surfing and other adventures. Highly recommended.

We got a very good history lesson about this region of the Baja Peninsula, visiting a number of buildings and sites from the 19th century. Max Kaufer, our guide, was quite informative and patient with us as we visited several art galleries and other sites. His recommendation for lunch was spot on - Tequila Sunrise. Also, the Tequila tasting was excellent. We were pleasantly surprised when Max picked us up at our hotel and we learned it was a private tour and not with a group of other people. That made it special. We highly recommend this tour.

We had a great time on our tour of Todos Santos. Max was our tour guide and did a great job, he was very knowledgeable. Made for a really nice day trip from Cabo, especially if interested in art/history. Definitely worth the price.

Max is great! We had an incredible day exploring Los Santos, popping into little shops and art galleries, and grabbing lunch. We stopped at a pretty hidden beach with four wild horses hiding among the palm trees. This is a magical place and Max is a wonderful guide! Definitely try to tequila ice cream if you get the chance (it is really good)!

Wanted to go to Todos without driving ourselves. Carlos is fun and knowledgeable as well as highly flexible on the itinerary . Many restaurants in Todos were closed so went to an excellent taco place on the beach at el Cerritos. Fun day out

Loved this trip when I took it with my husband six months ago, so when I returned to the area with my sister and brother-in-law, I signed us up for it again. Was not disappointed. Max was our driver and guide. He was so knowledgeable about the history of the area, the architecture, and local options for food and drink. Very safe driver. We really enjoyed our day in Todos Santos with Max. Highly recommend !

Todos Santos was the first tour we took during our stay in Cabo and we’re so glad! Max is an awesome guide with an amazing family history. He gave us a real lay of the land from the moment he picked us up at our hotel until we arrived home. We enjoyed his warm & accommodating personality and vast knowledge of the areas we visited. The taco place and ice cream stand he took us to eat was some of the best we’ve ever tasted. We stopped and went shopping at the local street shops and popped into an art gallery. The local artisans were so welcoming. We learned so much during the tequila tasting (great tequila sommelier)…and this is coming from non-tequila drinkers! They will pour just the right amount for your taste. The entire tour was tailored just for us. It was so great! We will take another tour from Max the next time we’re in Cabo. Highly recommend this tour & Good Trips Baja!

Max gave us a great tour of the town then took us to a secluded beach that no one would ever know existed… we pretty much had the entire beach to ourselves, along with multiple wild horses grazing on the grasses… would highly recommend the tour with Max

I'm really glad that my friend and I selected this tour to visit Tudos Santos. When I booked the tour, I did not realize it's a private tour (now I understand why their fare was higher than other tours). Carlos was our tour guide and he took such great care of us. He offered us lots of activity options based on our preferences. His love of Mexican culture and nature is contagious. We couldn't have imagined a better guide or a better tour. The booking experience on TripAdvisor was super easy and Customer Service was able to answer all my questions. I highly recommend this tour.

We had a great tour guide Carlos and loved all the places we went on the tour. He was very flexible and accommodating to what we wanted to do. Van was very clean and comfortable. He was super knowledgeable about everywhere we went and offered us suggestions that we appreciated. He also never rushed us. Lunch was amazing and best margueritas ever!

We loved this day with Max our amazing tour guide. The day trip to Todos Santos was perfect. The day included a tour of the town, a great lunch at Tequila Sunrise, a Mezcal tasting at Tequila Town, a short hike, a trip to the beach and a stop for some tasty ice cream. Highly recommend making time for this day trip!

We had a great trip to Todos Santos with Carlos today. He was very accommodating, willing to focus on whatever aspect of the town/trip we were most interested in (for example, art, shopping, etc). We were interested in it all, which probably made his job harder, but he exceeded our expectations! The lunch was delicious, and the secret beach was beautiful. Highly recommend this trip!

Amazing tour with Max learning the cities history, delicious cuisine, tequila & mezcal tasting, hiking thru a desert oasis to a secret beach, and homemade dragon fruit & coconut artisanal ice cream on the way home as we watched whales whales breach on the way back to Cabo.

Tho two travelers in our group had visited Todos Santos years ago, they said they really enjoyed this tour. During the hour-long trip from Cabo we learned about hidden beaches and how to spot oases in the otherwise rocky desert landscape. Max and Carlos—our guides—explained the history of both Todos Santos and Cabo, introduced us to gallery owners in the town and recommended an excellent place for lunch. The tequila/mezcal tasting stop was a highlight with Charlie behind the bar. The hidden beach and stop for homemade ice cream on our way back to Cabo were the perfect end to our day in Todos Santos.

Cannot say enough about our day trip to Todo Santos and the surrounding areas with Max. It was really the highlight of our trip. He picked us up at our resort and we headed to Toto Santos. We had a wonderful and informative conversation on the car ride there. Max is an avid hiker, and really educated us on the surrounding area. Todos Santos is a lovely town. Max Personally walked us around, and gave us tons of historical information which we loved. He introduced us to some local artists and wonderful galleries. We were lucky enough to pick up a couple of pieces to take home with us. Max made reservations at a local hotspot for lunch. Outstanding food and personal service. We passed on the included tequila and Mezcal tasting. We overdid it a bit at lunch. Max took us to this wonderful beach. It was secluded and practically empty. There’s no way we would’ve found this on our own. On the way back to our resort we stopped off at a roadside ice cream stand. Already talking about going back and hiring Max for our next adventure. Do not hesitate to book.

Todos Santos is a wonderful destination, and Max is a wonderful guide. He knows the history, the locations, the local personalities, and the best place to have lunch (which was one of the finest lunches we've ever had). He also took us to the best place to sample tequila and mezcal. The tour of the town was followed by a wonderful hike up the mountain to overlook the Pacific Ocean and a visit to a hidden beach Oasis for a quick swim in the Pacific. We particularly appreciated the fact that Max picked us up and dropped us off at our San Jose hotel.

Todos Santos is a magical, whimsical town with a laid back Bohemian vibe. If you like history, art, and good food, this is the place for you. And, Max and his tour are the perfect partner to do it with! When I booked this experience I expected it to be similar to my first tour of Todos Santos a couple of years ago-a group in a van. Was I surpriywhen Max pulls up in his mini SUV and tells us that it's just us and him, as he only does small or private tours! To say the least we were delighted. Max did a wonderful job of showing us and telling us about the history of Todos Santos.as we walked the streets and visited the church and cultural center. He allowed us time to visit art galleries and talk with the artists. The 3 of us leisurely walked the streets talking about life and so many things. We had lunch at a delightful restaurant called Tequila Sunrise (right across from Hotel California), and then took us to a tequila tasting where Charlie, the proprietor of Tequila Town, gave us a thorough presentation of all that is Mezcal and Tequila. We ended the day at a secluded, breath taking beach, which we accessed after a 5 minute walk via a path through a palm jungle. It was a full day, but at the end of it our hearts were more in love with Todos Santos, and we had a new friend in Max.

We had the tour guide (Max) all to ourselves, so the tour was very personalized. I felt like we got a great overview of Todos Santos, he showed us some things that probably most tourists don't know about. Max was very knowledgeable and friendly. We did the mezcal tasting which was interesting, ate at an authentic Mexican restaurant (all locals there), and then concluded with the hidden beach which was super cool & beautiful. Max was even nice enough to drop us off at our next (nighttime) excursion along the way, saving us some extra driving. I highly recommend this tour!

My family of 5 took a day trip to Todos Santos with Good Trips Baja. We had a wonderful time. Max was responsive and was happy to accommodate our requests given that we were traveling with a baby. He was happy to take things at our pace. We wanted to switch out a couple of portions of his itinerary with something else and he gladly obliged. We are happy we booked this tour with Max.

We went to art galleries, all the historical sites, tequila tasting and a beautiful lunch at Tequila Sunrise. Afterwards Max took us to a beautiful beach, that was swimmable. The tour finished off with roadside ice cream. I highly recommend Good Trips Baja.

The best tour ever! Max our host was a ball! We laughed, we learned and we saw. Amazing difference between Todos Santos and Cabo. A beautiful little town. The entire tour took over 7 hours. Felt like 4. Max had beach chairs and umbrellas for us and the ice cream at the end of the tour was great. The tequila tasting was marvelous and we have done several. Can’t miss on this one.

Todos Santos is a beautiful little town filled with so much art and culture. It's an easy, scenic drive from Cabo and Max is a wonderful guide, so knowledgeable and eager to share his favorite places with us. Highly recommend! When we return to Cabo, we hope to book a hiking trek with Max.

Max was great. He had car issues and still managed to rent a car to pick us up and do the tour. Todos Santos is beautiful and we learned a lot of the history of the town. Lunch at Tequils Sunrise was amazing and the people and service were great. I could have spent more time shopping around town. The mezcal tasting was fun too. But the best part of the day was the beach. There were wild horses and a resident beach dog and a fresh water stream to rinse off in after swimming in the bay. And then we finished the day with a stop at a roadside ice cream truck and it was fantastic. We had a great day with Max and really appreciated how he worked to make the day special.
