Snorkeling Open Ocean Wildlife Safari In Los Cabos With Photos Included

Very knowledgeable and experienced crew. We had a great time. Saw dolphins, sea lions, sea turtles, sting ray, and a wide variety of fish. Would do again.

Jorge and Jose were the perfect team and gave us a fantastic experience!! Our day was absolutely incredible!! You never know what you’re going to get with wildlife, but because of their knowledge and skill, they taught us a lot and knew the best ways to go about finding wildlife!! We had some excellent interactions with a huge group of Mobula rays, a sea turtle, and some gorgeous snorkeling at Chileno Bay!! Oh and very excited to see the photos included! Jorge took some with my phone that turned out amazing, so I can only imagine how great the rest of his images and videos turned out!! Highly recommend this company and team for an adventurous day out on the water!!

This was my second year going out with Baja Viking Ecoventures. Razz was our guide each time and he was amazing both trips! He gave a a ton of great and very interesting info about Cabo in general as well as the wildlife, it was all great! I was a little nervous for this trip because it was my first time taking my 8 year old daughter snorkeling in the ocean. I did a test run with her on our own two days prior that did not go well. So I let Razz know and he was so sweet about it. He was so accommodating and went above and beyond to make my daughter feel comfortable. The trip started off a little rough for her, just because she was feeling seasick, and because of this she did not get in the water to swim with the rays. But when we went into the coral reef she got her bravery up, and she was feeling better, so Razz lowered her into the water with me and, long story short, we could barely keep up with her after that. She had an absolutely amazing time! It was the highlight of her and my trip! We saw literally thousands of fish, it was incredible! We also had good sightings of mobula rays out in the open water. That was awesome as well. All in, it was an incredible trip and I cant wait to go again next year!

We recently went snorkeling with Baja Viking EcoVenture on April 4th, and while our tour guide Raz was absolutely amazing, we are extremely disappointed with the company overall. Prior to our tour, we were asked to move our scheduled time to better accommodate the company, which we agreed to. During the experience, we were specifically encouraged to stay present and enjoy the wildlife without focusing on our own cameras or phones, as the company would take professional photos for us—including underwater shots and whales. Raz took many photos and even showed us some during the trip, which gave us confidence we’d have great memories captured. Unfortunately, we have yet to receive any of our actual photos. Instead, we were sent images belonging to other families—some dating back to completely different months and even as far back as 2014. Despite clearly pointing this out and providing evidence of the incorrect photos, communication from the company has been poor. The owner’s responses have come across as dismissive and rude, and we are now not receiving any replies at all. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for my kids and me, and it is incredibly upsetting that we have no photos to remember it by—especially after being asked to rely on the company to capture those moments. But we do have other families photos of them… Raz deserves recognition for being a fantastic guide, but unfortunately the company’s handling of this situation has been very disappointing and has taken away from what should have been an unforgettable experience for all the right reasons.

Not what we expected. We had expected to snorkel with possibly rays, turtles, etc…. We just basically did a whale watch way out in the ocean. The whales were no where near as good there than they are closer to shore. They had us get in the water twice to see a whale but you could not see anything that far out in the ocean. Pictures were promised but never sent. Disappointed in the tour. The whale watching we paid $50 for the day prior was a lot better. This was just driving around.

This trip was about whale watching rather than snorkeling. Don't expect to see much while snorkeling.

I cannot say enough how awesome these guys are!!! Been on many excursions and most aren’t safe to do but these guys wow I can’t even begin where to begin. they communicated the whole time they adjusted the time since we’re on a ship we had some delays. They waited for us in a crowded also hectic area which made us feel extra safe! Out in the water they were so amazing with our teens and other families! They made our trip super memorable! And best part the whales granted us a surprise visit while our snorkeling so nice! We can’t wait to come back and use them! Amazing just amazing people!

What a fantastic experience! We saw and snorkeled out in the open ocean with several types of wild dolphins, which was absolutely magical! They took the Go Pro and filmed it, so all we had to do was enjoy. We had plenty of time to enjoy them, and then we went to Chileno Bay for more snorkeling, this time in the reef. We saw all kinds of fish and even a turtle. The guides were amazing and very knowledgeable. The footage is amazing! If you are going to snorkel, do this trip! It is clearly the best one out there!

Where do I start. From the greeting getting on the boat til the end. Razz and Pedro went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing time. Pedro provided the smooth ride and Razz provided the knowledge of our surroundings, local fish and coral that we encountered. If your looking for a snorkeling tour you won’t forget, book it now!!

What a great snorkeling trip. We got to swim with Manta Rays...hundreds, if not thousands of them! Razz and Pedro and also took us to an awesome shallow reef. We were away from the crowds. It was a wonderful experience. Razz was so knowledgeable and truly loves the ocean and the wildlife.

I cannot recommend Baja Viking Ecoventures enough. It was seriously the highlight of our trip. Mario and Razz were such great guides, very helpful and friendly. They also had great snacks and drinks on board. We went out and immediately got into Manta Rays. Swimming with those amazing creatures was more amazing than I could have ever imagined. The way they danced and swam around each other and us was breathtaking. I really wanted to see and swim with a Marlin as well. Mario and Razz made it happen. I got so close to a beautiful Marlin. We also saw many sea turtles (my wife's favorite) and lots a little hammerhead sharks. We then went closer into shore to a reef and the abundance of fish was astounding. I saw sting rays, white tip reef sharks, and needle fish. It was truly an amazing adventure and one that I cannot recommend enough.

I had wanted to go out with this organization for years. So glad that I finally had the opportunity. So professional. I had a very special snorkeling encounter with a young sea lion. He came right up to check us out. The photos will be something that I treasure forever. The boat is great. The crew is great. Educational and informative without being boring. They totally know the Sea and love it. I would not go with anyone else. I plan on coming back multiple times and bringing friends! Anytime that I am in Cabo I will go at least twice with Baja Viking. I would center my whole vacation around it. Thanks again! You made my vacation super special!

This was such a great experience! Our tour guides, Razz and Pedro, were incredibly kind and made sure we felt comfortable every step of the way. They specialize in small group tours—in fact, it was just me and my boyfriend, which made the whole experience feel very intimate. They even shared some fun facts about Cabo throughout the day. We started off by seeing the famous arch and taking a swim, then had the unforgettable opportunity to swim with dolphins. We even got to see humpback whales jumping in the distance! One of the highlights was visiting a cove to swim with sharks—although we didn’t spot any, it was still an awesome experience. Highly recommend!

A great way to get close to all the marine life that the Bay of Cortez can offer. We were a small group of only 4 persons. We got to swim with two schools of rays. Do take them up and swim with the seals and sea turtles too - which is nearly always assured. And you’ll see tons of whales (no pun intended). Nice to have all the videos and pictures included afterwards.

Wonderful morning on the ocean whale watching. Saw humpbacks and gray whales. The zodiac was fast and able to move quickly to new sightings. The crew were great. Informative and paid attention to guests needs. Highly recommend and would return next time we are in Cabo.

Captain Fergus and guide/photographer Lumen gave us an amazing four hours of whale watching, rays, flying fish, snorkeling, and sightseeing with knowledge, humor, and courtesy. The very best.

Guides were great & snorkeling was a blast. Everyone from our 70+ Grandmother to my 12/15 year old nieces enjoyed it! Good mix of a guided boat tour & snorkeling

Excellent tour!! Weather did not help (very cloudy), but our captain and our guide put an extra effort to find some animals. We were able to see marlins, sea turtles, mobulas, a giant devil ray jumping, and a whale. We want to come back to see whales in winter!! Baja Vikings Ecoventures will see you then...

I absolutely loved D! She was so kind and knowledgeable. She made me feel comfortable as I had not snorkeled in a long time. And seeing the rays was amazing!! There were so many of them and it was fun to see the « happy pancakes » flying in the air!

Second time snorkeling with Baja Vikings and would definitely recommend! We will book them every time we’re in town! Best snorkeling in Cabo- by far!!

Daniel and our Captain were amazing. We found ourselves in a pod of dolphins that were swimming and jumping right next to us. We were able to see many humpback whale couples. And our time ended snorkeling off of a reef and even seeing a shark. You will not be disappointed with this excursion!!!!

We had such a great time with Mario on the Open Ocean Safari Tour. He was a wonderful guide, so passionate about the sealife. You could tell he really loved being out on the water and teaching us about the different animals. It was a very personalized, small outing. The pictures and video we received a few days later were outstanding. It was so fun to see how he had captured our ocean safari! We hope to make it back in a few years for the Mag Bay tour they offer.

It was a really great breathtaking experience! We started a little bit early than usual to avoid crowds and spend longer time to see the rays in a more secluded setting. We ended up swimming in a school of dolphins, went to see the coral reefs with tropical sea creatures, we even saw a baby sharks. Mario and Fernando are really knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the ocean and the history of Cabo. I would highly recommend this experience to everyone whether you’re a beginner or experienced snorkeler, these guides really go out their way to make this a memorable experience.

I stayed in Cabo for 8 days in early June and signed up for four different tours with different companies. The tour with Elizabeth and Mario (Baja Vikings Ecoventures) was by far the best one! We drove for 2 hrs to La Ventana and within minutes we were already on our boat. Elisabeth and Mario are working together with the locals and several boats spread in the area surrounding Cerralvo island and communicate with each other if there is an interesting sighting which greatly increases the chances for encounters. Within minutes we were within a pod of hundreds of dolphins with multiple opportunities to snorkel with them. Then we headed towards the Mobula ray aggregation but got informed that there was a fish baitball close by. They always asked about our preferences/priorities so we could decide whether we would prefer to continue swimming with dolphins or head towards the Mobula rays, or the fish baitball. The tour is tailored to the customer. We decided to swim with the baitball first. We were surrounded by the sardine baitball which were constantly bumping on us as they were seeking protection from a school of bonita. We become one with the baitball and you could not move without constantly touching the sardines. It was an experience of a lifetime :) Shortly after we swam with hundreds of Mobulas. Some of them started playing with each other. They quickly got used to us we could approach them within a meter. The clarity of the water and calmness of the sea made this an even better experience. Ceviche was provided for lunch on one of the remote beaches on Cerralvo island and it was delicious. Again, I highly recommend this tour. I have been on snorkeling tours around the world in countries like Australia, South Africa and the Maldives but this tour with Elisabeth and Mario felt more like an expedition and was hands down the best one! We were also provided with pictures and videos of our underwater encounters (including a video of me swimming with the dolphins 😊) and some great shots of the Mobulas and dolphins as they were jumping out of the water). I am very thankful for this experience!!!

Liz & Mario is the most competent guide and photographer, very good at their job and we feel extremely comfortable with them for a tour like this. We've seen pods of dolphins and swam with them, bait balls, huge schools of mobula rays and don't mention the thousands of dolphins & mobula rays breaching. It was one of the most memorable trip I've ever done, plus their photos & videos are incredible !

Mario and Liz are the best at safaris and boat tours in CSL. Cannot recommend them enough. We've gone on several tours with them and will continue booking in the future.

Liz and Mario are very knowledgeable on the area. They pointed out all the famous landmarks. Took us to a place where we were able to swim with sea lions as well as various areas where we were able to see so many fish. They also took amazing photos of our trip so we could just enjoy the trip. It was a great day out on the boat snorkeling and we can't wait to go back. Highly recommend Baja Viking Ecoventures.

A fantastic tour. This tour won’t disappoint.. We spotted mobula ray aggregations on our Snorkeling tour.. Also some sea turtles and baby white tip reef sharks!! I can’t wait to go back during the whale season 🤩

A memorable experience! The staff, Liz, Fernando and the Captain were top notch and were very attentive and passionate about what they do. You can feel their passion for the ocean. If you are ever in Cabo, weather it's the first or third time, this tour is a MUST. You will not be disappointed. They also provided fresh fruit, snacks and water/juice aboard their boat. They included photos in their package. We will definitely do it again with Baja Viking Ecoventures!
