Small-group Whale Watch With Marine Biologist In Cabo San Lucas

We had a memorable experience. We were guided by a marine biologist who was so informative as well as friendly. We saw some humpback whales up close, it was awesome. What an unforgettable experience.

This trip was excellent ! I highly recommend this excursion. The tour guide/marine biologist was great ! She loved us asking questions and she clearly explained everything. The captain got as close as he could to the whales and was awesome being that close. Life jackets were supplied also which made me feel safe. The boat was clean and was sturdy looking compared to other boats I saw passing by us. And it was easy to book our reservations and directions were clear. 👍😊

We saw so many whales and were among so many swimming and surfacing. Lots of big bearches ahead of the ship as well. It was very exciting. Our guide was a very knowledgeable (a type of marine biologist i think)

Great tour. It’s nice to sit back and relax while the tour guide takes care of the pictures. This was my second time with the same tour and it was just as great. You learn lots and feel safe. Great for all groups and all ages.

The staff and crew are very friendly and we saw a ton of dolphins and whales. The only problem was the lack of directions in finding the office. We were late because Google Maps took us to the opposite side of the marina.

The experience was amazing, the team was truly great, and the captain was really focused on making sure we had a fantastic time. He sped up whenever needed to pass certain boats. We 100% recommend it!

What a wonderful experience! We knew it was the tail end of the whale watching season, but wanted to try it out anyway! Good choice! Our guide, Oscar, was so knowledgable and excited to share his expertise, it was amazing to learn so many fun facts on our trip! We spotted a mama humpback whale with one of her babies and followed them for well over an hour! Baby was in a real 'show off' mood and we got to see numerous full breaches. Mama was always close by and made quite the 'splash' for the boat too. It really was a perfect way to start our vacation and we could not recommend them higher! Take the tour! You will be so happy you did!!

This was such an amazing experience! It was a dream of mine and WOW it was the most beautiful experience ever. Our guide Payo was wonderful and gave us so much information on the whales and also our Capitan Alonzo made sure we stayed safe and was also very knowledgeable. We also stopped at the Arch and got to take a family photo which was wonderful. I’d definitely recommend this tour to everybody, it was hands down one of the greatest experiences ever.

This was the highlight of our entire trip! I knew that April was the “shoulder season” for whale watching and I didn’t have very high hopes for seeing whales. We ended up having so many sitings! The whales we saw were amazing…fins, tails, blowing water, and even multiple jumps. Oscar, the guide, shared lots of valuable and interesting information as well as information I wanted to know about protecting the sea and sea animals. Seeing the Cabo Arch and the beaches was an extra perk. The driver Alonzo was great and kept us all safe and seeing great things. Highly recommend this company and tour. Many thanks!

It was a great trip with a very informative guide. We were fortunate to see a mummy humpback whale with her baby, a juvenile and migrating dolphins and loved the ride in what was a very powerful boat. Recommend this tour to anyone

My husband and I booked a tour for our honeymoon on Feb/2026. They were super accommodating after an issue with booking online. They gave great advice for day of the tour. The only thing we didn't appreciate was that the site and invoice said there was a discount for paying cash, but once we were there they said that they didn't do that anymore. The tour itself was amazing! We went out with Josephine and Kevin. I have to say that Josephine's love for whales, knowledge, and enthusiasm was contagious, and made the tour so amazing. We saw a good amount of whales and even heard them singing. We received the pictures a couple of days after and they were also so beautiful. I can honestly say it was a memorable experience and we would 100% do it again. Thank you!

Seeing humpback whales in Cabo was absolutely spectacular. We were so fortunate to witness 20+ breaches, and the highlight of the entire tour was a baby whale swimming right up to our boat to check us out. It was one of those rare, unforgettable moments that stays with you. Our guide and boat captain were both knowledgeable, and attentive throughout the tour. The guide also took fantastic photos and shared them with everyone afterward, which was such a thoughtful touch. This was an amazing experience from start to finish, and I highly recommend this company to anyone visiting Cabo.

Had a wonderful trip with Whale Watch Cabo today. We knew it was the end of the whale watching season so we were happily surprised to be able to spend considerable time with a mother and her calf. We saw a full breach, a lunge, fin slapping, and tail wagging. Payo was our naturalist guide and really complimented Hugo’s captaining as we learned so much in her informative narrative and he was able to get us close without disturbing the whales. Great time. Highly recommend.

Captain Alonso and Javi were AMAZING tour guides. From start to finish, they were thorough, safe, knowledgeable, professional and very engaged in their whale watching expertise! Javi had so many fun facts about whales and their habitat. We saw so many whales, while respecting their environment. I booked this trip for our party of 12 family and friends through Trip Advisor based on the 5 star great views. Our party gave the team 5 plus stars and know we had the BEST boat and crew on the water!! Don't hesitate to book this tour! It was memorable and definitely a once of a lifetime bucket adventure!!!

Saw many whales and alot of breaching. Followed a calf and Mother for over 30 minutes with alot of action.

Excellent experience! The guide was so knowledgeable and approachable. We saw multiple groups of whales including a pod of males and a mother and baby. Amazing! As a bonus we also saw sea lions and got to stop by the famous Arch formation for a picture

Great tour. Dominica, marine biologist, was informative and made it a pleasant experience. Saw humpback whales and watch "baby" whale breach a few times. The best part was encounter with pod of Orcas who swam toward and under boat - so close. Really appreciated the pictures taken by Dominica that were shared with us at end of excursion. Excellent. Oscar our guide and Captain Hector were great. 10 passengers including our group of 4. Which is great amount. 12 would be OK but a little snug especially to get shaded area. We saw a calf and mom and followed with them. The calf breached many many times. Oscar was very informative. Excellent experience. I highly recommend. We arrived via cruise ship. 20 min easy walk along the pier to their office. This is a much better option compared to the large number of people on cruise ship whale excursion

An amazing experience. Our guide Victoria was a mariane biologist and very knowledgeable about the whales and able to answer all our questions and explained how to look for whales. At first we didn't see much but then we saw a lot. We were lucky and got to see a whale breach! And see a group of 4-5 whales . The whales even came closer to our boat! It was such a great experience seeing the whales. I also appreciate that whale watch Cabo is sustainable and does not want to distress or harm the whales and just enjoy watching them. They follow the guidelines for whale watching and animal welfare. Other companies do not.

Overall, a truly wonderful and memorable experience, definitely a highlight of my trip to Cabo. I felt safe, comfortable, and in very capable hands the entire time. The only downside was that it felt too short, I easily could have gone out multiple times. It was magical to be in the watery home of these beautiful giants, sharing space with them, even briefly. We saw so many whales, tails, fins, bodies, and even a mother with her calf. Payo was a fantastic guide: knowledgeable, genuinely passionate, and happy to answer any questions. Captain Hector had a great instinct for finding whales, kept a respectful distance, and didn’t crowd them like some other boats. I really appreciated the care they showed for both the whales and our safety. I would go again in a heartbeat, 10/10, highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time on the water seeing the whales. It was definitely worth the money for a first time experience. Victoria was great and educated us about whales. Hector the driver was fun and had a great personality. I will advise that if u have a bad back the ride is very rough. Also…it says there is a bathroom but it is for emergency use only. It is midget sized. Thanks to Victoria and Hector for a memorable experience.

This was the best part of our trip to Los Cabos. The tour guide was a veterinarian and very knowledgable. Everything about this tour is incredible. They are great with their guests and very careful to be sensitive to the whales too.

We had a beautiful experience with captain Alfonso and the marine biologist, Josephine. She is extremely knowledgeable about whale and ready to ansser all of our questions. They are also really good in findling the best spots to see these magnificent creatures. The pictures (that they share for FREE!) were also beautiful. Highly recommended!

I actually didn’t get to go on this excursion, we came to Cabo on a cruise and ran late getting off the ship so we missed out time. I’m giving 5 stars for the great service though. They communicate well with us and offered us a refund despite being the terms not requiring them to do so. For that, I’ll definitely be using them in the future when we’re back in Cabo.

We just had a great outing with Captain Hugo and marine biologist guide, Victoria. We saw a humpback and her calf, a sea turtle, and also 3 viewings of orcas which we know is rare! Victoria was full of information and a great guide. Highly recommend!!

This was amazing. We saw multiple whales and sea turtles and learned a great deal about whales from our “whale need” tour leader. The best part was the calf who jumped and flipped and almost danced for us.
