Small-group Food Tour In Cabo San Lucas

This was a great experience. Phenomenal way to get into the back streets of Cabo and have some delicious authentic food.

This was such a fun experience, highly recommended! It was fun to walk to the local restaurants. The amount of time spent at each venue was perfect. The local flavors were delicious. The portions are generous and we finished the tour feeling very satisfied. Javier is a fantastic guide and is very knowledgeable about the local culture.

Wow!!! This food tour was “off-the-charts” - so outstanding! We are a couple of foodie people, and every stop on this tour, led by Javier was 5-stars! Javier I so knowledgeable about the history of the family run restaurants we visited, as well as the origins and preparation of the foods we ate. We’ve been coming to Cabo for years, and decided to venture off the resort property and experience real, authentic Mexican food from family-run businesses where the local locals go. How lucky we were to book with Avocabo Food tours, with Javier as our guide. Javier Is such an excellent guide! We learned a lot, and now know several outstanding local eateries in downtown Cabo. The excellent restaurants on this tour will be our go-to for future vacations. We can’t wait to do this tour again and invite friends and family so they can have the entire experience. Don’t miss this tour! It’s a winner!

Javier was our tour guide and he was such a pleasure to be with. First and foremost we ended up being a private tour.. Other companies would have cancelled for low census. Second he was able to accomodate allergies (nuts and shellfish). Theres lots of walking so wear comfortable shoes (helps with all the food you're about to eat). Skip breakfast, go hungry!

This tour was fantastic. Javier was knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely committed to sharing the culture and food of his country. We were so full by the 4th stop, we had to take the food (tamales!) with us (it was delicious later on the way home!). This is the best intro to authentic Mexican food one could ask for--ceviche, mole, tacos, tamales, and churros--made in authentic local places, each with its own atmosphere and style. I highly recommend this tour. Worth every penny!

Tour guide failed to show up, or answer calls and text messages from both clients, and Viator. I’m a travel agent and I will not recommend this tour to my clients. I’ve asked for a refund from Viator.

Javier was exceptional. Not only did he make an effort to independently communicate with each member of our group, he was informed, and kind. Pick this tour vs. other if you want an actual "local's" experience. You will visit restaurants you would never have found on your own!

Javier was very personable and provided a great experience! The tasting were amazing and I liked that the places we went were local and authentic.

We enjoyed the quality and variety of the five unique places we stopped. Javier was cordial, but we felt he could have spent more time with us explaining the features and cultural stories of the places we visited. The food at each stop was very good, although the some portions were very small. It opened our eyes to some great places, but undecided if it was truly worthwhile in the end.

Best thing to do in downtown Cabo! Javier was an awesome guide, the tour was well planned out, with so much delicious food! It was a great experience to walk a bit off the tourist strip and visit wonderful restaurants that we most likely would never have found on our own. The pace was perfect, Javier was fun and so personable, the food and flavors amazing - this tour is very much worth every penny!!!

This was our third time doing this tour. We highly recommend it and will make a point to participate every time we are in Cabo.

Javier was AMAZING!! At first we were a little annoyed with the walking (we were hangry lol), but it was so worth it, especially after the first and 3rd stop. So worth the money, just wish we were offered more than 1 taco at the 3rd place. Would definitely do it again!!!

My family lives in Southern California, where there is great Mexican food to be had everywhere...but none of us had enjoyed Mecican food at this level of deliciousness! We all had a great time following Javier around the neighborhood, from one yummy spot to the next. The next time we're in Cabo, we're definitely hitching a ride back to El Burro Loco to get another helping of the Best. Mole. Ever.

Realize that this is a WALKING tour and it’s quite a bit of walking! We are here in early July and it was miserable! Having said that the food was very good and our guide Javier was very good, personable and knowledgeable!

This is food tour that you are walking into the area of Cabos that the locals eat and live. Bring your appetite, because there is alot of food. This is authentic hispanic food that is absolutely delicious.

This tour had about 2 miles of walking. We had Some really good food and some so so. We ended with ice cream or street churros. I wish it would have been another sit down place for dessert. You don’t leave hungry. Tour guide was extremely nice and fluent in English.

Glad we did this the first day of the trip so we can return to one of the places later. Even had some leftovers for a late night snack.

Javier was a wonderful guide! He took us to authentic Cabo restaurants where the locals eat, and each stop gave us a real taste of the area. He also shared interesting local history and background about the food, which made the evening even more enjoyable. I especially appreciated that Javier accommodated my multiple food allergies, which allowed me to relax and fully enjoy the tour. This was a great value and a very fun way to experience Cabo beyond the typical tourist spots. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to eat like a local!

2nd time on this tour, both did not disappoint. First time was with Robin, the second time with Javier. Great local bites, nice neighborhood atmosphere and friendly guide. We were able to experience a little of everything. We brought our daughters this time and they loved it!

Javier was a likable young man and spoke good English. The food at each stop was excellent and Javier provided good descriptions. Be aware that there was much walking between restaurants so wear good shoes. We had only 4 people in our group so it felt like a very personal experience.

Taco Tuesday was taken to a new level on the Advocabo Food Tours. Some of the best tacos ever! Our tour guide Javier was polite, professional & informative. Felt like I was in taco heaven. The homemade sauces were some of the best. The El Pastor taco was one of the best with thin crispy slices and pineapple was mouth watering. The fish tacos were the best I've ever eaten. Light flaky fish in a light crispy batter. Yummy! This tour is a must!

We’ve done this twice now and will probably do it every time we come. Not only is the food excellent, Javier is a wonderful and knowledgeable guide that makes the day fun.

I have become an avid Viator user and on this cruise stopover in Cabo San Lucas, we decided to try out this food tour. Javier met us at the nearby Starbucks and we proceeded, just the three of us, a number blocks away, with Javier pointing out various interest and city points along the way. We tried numerous restaurants with local cuisine, most of which are one of local/Mom-and-Pop restaurants. We enjoyed tacos, tostadas, vegetarian, seafood, and beef options; pineapple margaritas and Mezcal tasting, and ended the tour with a badly needed gelato on his hot day. They’re a small-size group can be up to 18 people, but we lucked out being the only two on the tour and which worked out amazingly! We recommend this simple three hour walking tour. We did a walking food tour with Javier and thoroughly enjoyed our time. The mole was amazing and like nothing we'd tasted in the States, which is a good thing! Javier was personable and did a great job of making us comfortable as well as explaining ingredients, etc. Highly recommend.

Javier was a great tour guide and took a group of 4 around the downtown area of Cabo San Lucas on our port stop from our Royal Caribbean Quantum of the Seas cruise. A bit of walking on uneven surfaces, however the 5 places we stopped to eat were delicious! We became very full quickly. Javier is super nice and we appreciated his knowledge guiding us through the culinary experience! We most definitely recommend to others.

Highly recommend this non-touristy, off the beaten path taste of authentic local Mexican cuisine. Javier and Silvano were friendly, knowledgable and informative, and curated a tour of 5 local restaurants that provided some of the tastiest food any of us have had in a long time. We started with an amazingly fresh Canrilla Cevice, followed by the best chicken Mole I've ever tasted; the Pastor rotissarie tacos were outstanding, as was the Birro. An invigorating Mezcal tasting was mixed in and it was all topped off with a sweet treat from a Churro street vendor. Don't miss this small group food tour, but make sure you come hungry.

Great walking tour of some of Cabo San Lucas authentic taco restaurants. Javier was very knowledgeable and helpful. Robin, the tour company owner was outstanding as we missed our scheduled appointment due to local protests blocking the main road into town, and she rebooked us the next day.

Awesome food! The ceviche and molè were our favorites. I picked this tour based on molè being a part of it and it did not disappoint.

Great to get a bit off yhe main area/tourist ville to see where locals eat. We walked, nit far but be prepared to get your steps. Plenty to eat. Mole was our highlight. Authentic but cant say anything was "gournet".

Fish cerviche, mole' chicken, el pastor taco, beef birria, dessert churros are a sample of what we ate. Be sure to arrive Hungry! All regular portions. Each stop was so delicious we kept eating even when we thought that we could not eat another bite. So good. If you're looking for a non-tourist dining experience , meet Haivier & enjoy your day. We will definitely recommend this to our friends and will stop back to these lunch spots in the future. This tour is good for you and great for Cabo.
