We were visiting Cabo on a cruise for one day and really wanted to go diving. I have over 300 dives and prefer a private boat if its economical. Cabo Trek not only had a great private boat with an exceptional staff but also allowed 3 non-divers that were part of our group on the boat to snorkel. I would highly recommend these guys.

After check-in at Cabo Trek, we'll head to the marina and board our dive boat for an exciting two-tank diving adventure along the beautiful Tourist Corridor of Los Cabos. Your dive sites will be selected based on the day's ocean conditions to ensure the safest and most enjoyable experience. Typical sites include the stunning bays of Santa Maria, Blow hole, Whale head, Gavilanes and Chileno, renowned for their crystal-clear waters, impressive rock formations, abundant reef life, and excellent visibility. These sites are home to a wide variety of marine species, including angelfish, pufferfish, moray eels, rays, sea turtles, and, depending on the season, larger pelagic species. Every dive offers a unique opportunity to explore the rich biodiversity of the Sea of Cortez. I did a beginner 2 tank dive. Adriana was my instructor and she was great. Made my dive experience a memorable one!!! Snacks and drinks on the boat was a nice touch too. The whole team was great. The best part was that she had a GoPro and my whole experience was available to purchase at a fair price. I have a lot of pics and vids now to look at and share.
This tour was incredible! We went with Freddy (captain), Adriana (our dive guide), and Maria. All guides were fantastic! Special thanks to Adriana for showing us around the two dive sites and helping us spot so many beautiful fish, rays, and two eels! All in all, highly recommend Cabo Trek for any tour in the Cabo area.
My husband and I booked 2 days of 2-tank dives with Cabo Trek, one day local (Pelican Rock and Land’s End) and one day in the Corridor (La Cabeza Ballena and El Chileno). Adriana, our dive master, was lovely and enthusiastic, with excellent English skills…we enjoyed having her all to ourselves, a benefit of being here in shoulder season! Visibility was not the best and the currents were stiff at times, but we enjoyed 89 degree water, so many fish of so many varieties and lovely coral formations.
A storm came out of nowhere while we were out on the water, making our trip back to the dock extremely difficult and scary. The waves were so strong that the boat nearly tipped over several times, but the entire crew remained calm, attentive, and made sure everyone was safe. I’m especially grateful to the boat driver, who handled the situation incredibly well and, honestly, may have saved our lives. Aside from the storm, the scuba diving was so much fun! Our instructor stayed with us the entire time, closely monitored our breathing, and made sure we felt comfortable and safe. I’m incredibly thankful for the whole team. Overall, it was a 10/10 experience!
We had an absolutely amazing experience! First time scuba diving and felt so safe! Julio, Gabo and Adrian were so kind and patient!! Would absolutely recommend. Cant wait to be back in Cabo to try some of Treks other experiences! (Gracias Julio por hacerme sentir tranquila y cuidada!! )
Excellent dive day. We did two dive sites in Cabo Corridor which we prefer to diving at pelican rock / marine park by the arch. Both sites were wonderful, but Blow Hole was fantastic wildlife, corals and topography. After 50+ dives definitely in the top 10. Our dive master and captain- Adriana and Adrian were absolutely fantastic. So kind and knowledgeable. The captain was very helpful getting us in and out of the water for the dives and safety aware as operator. We had some pretty rough seas coming back in the afternoon and he handled it with ease. Our dive master Adriana from Peru is also a marine biologist and was so helpful teaching us about the wildlife as well as getting our gear just right. We saw so many wonderful species turtles, huge guitar fish, devil rays, zebra eels. She was equally excited to see some of the more unique species as we were as visitors which made it so fun. Although we speak a little Spanish her English was so perfect it made our day easy. Finally the boat was the most comfortable and shaded boat we have dove from in Cabo. Clean, great seating and a real ladder. The ladders are important as my husband and I are getting older and some of the other boats just have narrow rails. This ladder had Handles and thick steps. We have dove with 2 other companies - one in Cabo San Lucas and one in the San Jose del Cabo marina and probably over 10 dive days with one or the other. Cabo Trek was above and beyond and will be our go to on our next visit in a few months.
I had a great time. I haven't been certified yet, but Gabo/Gabriel was a great guide to get me into the water. He offered a great class prior to entering the water and got me safely back to the harbor. We saw lots of fish, rays, eels and a shark. Thanks Gabo/Gabriel, Adrianna, and captain Adrian!
I had never scuba dived before but I wanted to try it. So I signed up for a beginner dive with Cabo Trek. My instructor, Gavón, did an awesome job explaining everything to me and then was very patient as I learned the basics. He kept a close eye on me and made sure that I was doing OK. As we explored, he adjusted my equipment as needed. I felt very safe and was able to just concentrate on breathing. We saw so many things - a white tipped reef shark, all kinds of fish, oysters making pearls in a reef, lobsters, a flounder in the sea floor and more. It was all amazing. The boat ride is a short ride from the marina and they provided all the equipment. Beatríz in the Cabo Trek shop was really friendly and communicated with me in advance, which I really appreciated. I highly recommend this tour. I tipped the guide, Gavón, but later realized that I forgot to tip the boat crew. Don't be me and remember to tip everyone that helps you!
My family and I booked a 2-tank dive with Cabo Trek and it was amazing! Our guide, Adriana, was so nice and knowledgeable about the marine life, and she made my kids feel comfortable in the water. Captain Freddie was also super helpful getting us in and out of the water, as well as getting us to the best spots! Our family ended up being the only ones in the group, so we ended up getting more of a private session! We were provided snacks and drinks on the boat, and they made it feel very comfortable and relaxing. Cost was also much more reasonable than other companies we found while shopping for excursions. Highly recommend booking a diving excursion with Cabo Trek!
5 star experience. Did a 2 tank dive, 1 one at Chilean beach and 1 at blow hole. Great experience! Adrianna was a great guide who was well informed and kept us safe. Adrian was a great Captain who found whales for us to see along the way. Great deal and would highly recommend Cabo Trek for diving!
This was a very last minute booking because I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to sneak away from my work conference, but they were able to accommodate me on a small group. Everything went smoothly and was very reasonably priced, and we saw plenty of different kinds of fish and coral. I even saw some rays! The guide was friendly and knowledgeable too.
We could not be happier with our CaboTrek experience! From answering all questions during booking to the follow up sending us personalized footage from our dive, they were beyond amazing to work with and so accommodating. Our dive guide Adriana was so kind and knowledgeable about the area and the sea life. She was so helpful and patient as we hadn’t dived in a few months. Our boat captain Freddie was welcoming and helpful as well. We will definitely use CaboTrek again when visiting Cabo!
We had a great time. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. It was the first time diving for a few of us and she made us feel comfortable and safe. I highly recommend this group.
Wonderful and knowledgeable staff. Great boat, captain and dive master. Great dives at Lands End and the Corridor. Such rich and diverse marine life. Sea lions, rays, sharks, eels, lobster, puffer fish. Awesome
This is the second time this year I have been out with Cabo Trek. The first was whale watching in the spring. I have lived here 4 years and learned more in this one trip than all the other ‘tourist’ trips put together!! It was more about the ecology and marine biology than loud music and free drinks. Thank god! The second trip I just did was a scuba diving with my wife. And let me tell you, it was AWESOME. Our dive master Le Roux was off the charts good. We felt so safe and comfortable, and the guided experience has us hooked. Thank you Cabo Trek for a memorable time.
We traveled to Cabo for vacation and I decided to do my scuba certification while I was there. I was initially looking at doing it through our resort, but I had a friend traveling with me that was already certified and I wanted him to tag along on our open water dives. Our resort would not accommodate this, but Cabotrek didn’t even hesitate and were happy to oblige. I found them on Google, talk to them over WhatsApp and they were very good at explaining all the details and working with me on my concerns. My instructor (Silvia) was amazing! She was so patient, an excellent teacher, explaining everything in detail, and worked very hard to keep me comfortable. She was unwavering on the instruction and worked with me to ensure I learned all the concepts to safely dive in the future. She was also really fun. We shared a love for the ocean and marine life. She has a ton of experience all over the world and was able to share stories of her travels and dives. Very enjoyable to have her there. The boat Captain/operator (Adrian) was great too. Very accommodating, helpful, and supporting. Always checking in, making sure we were comfortable and ready. Very impressive operator as well. (If you ever see how tight the marina is, you’ll understand what I mean). It was a very pleasant experience. The price was extremely reasonable. They always had snacks and drinks for us. It was just a super super pleasant experience. I was a bit worried about swimming the 200meters that is required by PADI, and Silvia swam next to me the whole time, ensuring that I was comfortable, cheering me on, and taking my mind of off the task. If you are looking for a great place to do your certification, you can’t beat this place. We will be back, I will plan dives with Silvia and Adrian in the future and excursions with CaboTrek. They have some super cool options. I want to come back to do some whale watching especially!
The scuba diving itself was very enjoyable! We each paid 35 USD to rent equipment. Our captain, Freddie, and diving instructor, Silvia, were very cheerful and made our first scuba diving experience pleasant. Luckily, we were able to do the activity on a very good weather day, and we saw sea lions, spotted rays, and sea turtles. However, one disappointment was with CaboTrek's handling of billing. Silvia took underwater GoPro photos of us priced at 50 USD, but we were offered a volunteer price of 40 USD, which we paid by credit card. Later, we found out that they charged us the full 50 USD plus 16% IVA tax without any mention. When we contacted CaboTrek, they said it was a mistake and would refund $10 if we visited their office. Since we were on vacation with a schedule, we just asked them to give the extra 10 USD as additional gratitude to Silvia and Freddie. This way of handling things was very regrettable paying by credit card. My advice to those planning to visit is to pay everything in cash to avoid such issues.
Eduardo and Freddie were an excellent team! Eduardo was a careful and attentive dive master and the dive at lands end was amazing. The dive boat and equipment were also good.
I had a wonderful dive with this company. They evaluated the dive sites before we settled on a spot and I appreciate them taking our safety and experience seriously. We ended up going to Chileno Bay because the swell was really big by lovers beach. That was a nice spot, although the recent storm had affected visibility. We did see a lot of fish and coral there though! On our way back we saw turtles, assisted a boat in distress, and made our way back to pelican rock for a fantastic dive. I’ve literally never seen so many fish in schools ever!! Our guide took some amazing pics for us. Sylvia was our guide and Adrian was our boat captain. What a wonderful experience and friendly staff. Very knowledgeable and professional. Would definitely dive with them again.
Had two great dives with instructor Eduardo and captain Adrian, Pelican Rock and Land's End, incl. the Lundenberg shipwreck. Will definitely go again when we are back!
Did two great dives with Eduardo and captain Adrian, Pelican Rock and Land's End (including the Lundenberg shipwreck). Will definitely dive with them again next time!
Cabo Trek is always good. This was my fourth SCUBA trip with them and I have no reason to look elsewhere when in Cabo. Their equipment and people are all top notch. Julio the Black Shark (guide) and Captain Freddy know what they're doing and know how to find all the cool stuff to see. I saw packs of Mobula rays, an octopus, garden eel, white tip reef shark, rooster fish, puffers and big groupers. I will not hesitate to use them the next time I'm in town.
This was my first ocean dive since getting certified a year ago. Dive Master Monik and Capt Freddie were awesome! Monik was very patient with me and did a fantastic job of reviewing the equipment as we rode out to the Corrider. We first dove near the rocks in Chileano Bay and then over at Whale's Head. Saw many schools of fish and the visibility in the morning was great. Cabo Trek is conveniently located near the marina and communicating with them was very easy. Their wet suit and other equipment fit perfectly. Highly recommended dive master, dive shop, and dive site.
Diving was awesome! Larue was an outstanding dive lead. Made it a memorable experience. Also, kudos to the whole Cabo Trek staff for their customer service and professional attitude.
What a great dive! We went on the small boats that accommodate 8 divers. Since it was low season, we were lucky enough for it to be just my son and I. We got out early and beat a lot of the other larger commercial dive boats. Ryan the Divemaster was phenomenal. He was a great guide, and made the experience really memorable. I highly recommend Cabo Trek. Ask for Ryan and make sure you tip the divemaster and captain!
Amazing dive with whale sightings above followed by swimming with eagle rays below. Easily one of my top 3 dives ever. Silvia is one of the best guides I’ve had; professional, knows what she’s doing, and communicates extremely well; especially in the water where it counts. She makes you feel safe. Highly recommended.
It was a wonderful experience. From the time we checked it for the activity, the staff were very helpful , friendly and axxomodating! Aspecial shout out to Sylvia, the scuba diving instructor. She was simply amazing! The boat captain Freddy was very good too. All in all, I highly recommend this tour oprator
We’ve scuba dove here and there over the years. But cano Trek attention to detail, customer server, knowledge of the area will make us is them again next time we are back
Amazing dives, so much to see and our dive master was extremely educated in the Baja ecosystem, our captain found whales and we viewed at a safe distance while a mother and calf checked us out, totally amazing! Sea turtles, sea lions, rays and thousands of fish!
It was a good experience. Pablo was our instructor and he was very informative and patient with us. We did it only once before and he made sure we were comfortable and that got the best out of our trip. The water was not that great but there was still plenty to see . Favorite part was going near the rocks . Overall we had a great time , the crew on board is very nice and they had plenty of snacks and drinks for everyone . We also had our 10 years old who never left Pablo’s side .
Another great experience with Cabo Trek. This was our third dive trip with them and our fist time diving the “Corridor.” Their guide and captain are top-tier and we can’t wait to come back to Cabo and dive with them again.
We had 1 brand new diver, and 3 that had not dove in a few years. So it was good to walk through the familiarization on the first dive. Monique (Nikdive on IG) was our instructor. She was really patient and fun and gave us a beautiful Cabo Bay tour where we got some great pics of the Cabo Arch, saw tons of sea lions. Saw tons of diff fish, eels, and the “falling snow” on the second dive. They supplied good equipment including a shorty wetsuit for the dive. If you can request Monique you won’t be disappointed!!
Love experiencing this! It is a bit scary at first but you get used to it! Our guide Phillipe was very in tune and made sure we were all comfortable and doing okay. He helped us all the way through. Super fun!
I highly recommend CaboTrek for scuba diving. Very professional, informative, and easy-going crew. My dive master Filipe and captain were very helpful in trying to do their best. Not we just had two dives but also were able to have a nice boat trip around the arch to see the Pacific touching the sea of Cortez and surrounding rocks. Truly an amazing experience! Thank you, guys, I hope to see you soon again!
We had an AMAZING trip to Cabo! We used Cabo Trek for scuba while we were there, and Monik and Captain Freddy were FANTASTIC!! They were incredibly friendly, helpful, and informative. They took care of everything and made sure that we not only had an wonderful time, but that we had a SAFE and wonderful time! We had the BEST diving experience and HIGHLY recommend that you book with Cabo Trek/Monik/Captain Freddy!!!
My wife and I had an excellent time diving in Cabo with Cabo Trek. Felipe did an outstanding job guiding us through the trip, we got to see manta rays, moray eels, sea slugs, and a wide variety of fish. Highly recommended!
The entire trip was fantastic. All the staff, especially our guide, Monik, were friendly and knowledgeable. They were very attentive.
Had no previous experience diving and did the "Discover Scuba Diving: Cabo San Lucas" trip with 2 of us, Felipe was the guide Adrian was the boat captain. Great experience and definitely worth the money! Just pay the extra for 2 tanks vs the 1 and you'll be glad you did! Everything is included with the price (except tip), no hidden costs, includes the gear, the boat ride out there, snacks, and drinks. Some other diving places I looked at in Cabo seemed cheaper, but when you read more they aren't including the gear and other stuff in the prices. Felipe and the captain were both helpful in getting out the gear and explaining stuff to us, English was great as well. Felipe pointed out some sting rays swimming and a hidden guitar ray in the sand. Very patient and trying to make sure everyone had a good time, even lent some of his personal sunscreen that was reef safe because my didn't seem to be. If you've never dived before but have even thought about it, just book one of the discover scuba dive trips with Cabo Trek and everything will be taken care of. No stress with extra costs, show up early to get the gear fitted, they do a quick lesson to make sure everyone can clear their mask and clear the regulator (air mouth piece) if it comes out your mouth underwater. Not a paid review they're just that good, very professional.
First class entite process. Friendly, and professional. Felipe's patience was outstanding. 5☆. Loved
I booked a couple dives for me and my 11-year-old son last minute. I just clicked on the first link that came up when I googled “Cabo Scuba.” It was honestly perfect. Efficient, well-priced, and David was a perfect dive master. He did everything in his power to make this as good an outing as possible. So glad we did it.
My daughter received her open water dive certification through Cabo Trek. David the dive master was an excellent instructor. The staff at Cabo Trek were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I would definitely use Cabo Trek again for scuba diving.
Cabo Trek delivered. They were friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating and efficient. The boat and equipment were in great shape and the service they provided was top-notch. After discussing the possible dive sites, Philip, our divemaster, chose two sites that were different, yet perfect for seeing a variety of fish, coral and plants, including mantra rays, moray eels, a sea turtle and a spiny lobster. Adrian captained the boat with precision, while Vanusa provided amazing underwater photography for our group of 5 divers. We booked through Trip Advisor. The process was seamless and we our dive experience was exactly what we hoped to find.
Top notch experience from start to finish. This was a surprise trip and dive for my 40th birthday from the wife. (Lucky man) She did the research before hand and with the help of my Scuba Certified brother who called the shop before we arrived to complete their research. Both had great things to say about their experience and I am happy they chose Cabo Trek. The day of our dive we were so very lucky that the other 4 scheduled divers decided to cancel....... essentially leaving me with a solo dive trip as my wife is a snorkeler. From check in to our final good bye the entire staff was awesome. Equipment was nice and looked after, the boat was clean and maintained. Felipe was a great dive master and shared a ton of information after each dive. I have dived around the world and look forward to returning to dive the Cabo Trek when we come back. They utilize small boats so not you're not dealing with a cattle car. Close dive sites, and I was given clear communication of the dive plan and expectations. Felipe (Dive Master) had great knowledge of the dive sites and chose nicely based on the conditions, my skills and confidence level. Early departure meant that we completed our dives before the tourist boats showed up and scared the fish. Would 100% recommend them again in the future. Thank you for an awesome adventure!
Felipe was our guide and Adrian behind the wheel. It was a fantastic experience. So fun and knowledgeable. Took us to the arch for pictures. We got to see a shark, turtle, stingray, puffer fish and several guitar rays! It was such a fun trip. Highly recommend!!
We had such an amazing time in Cabo recently with Cabo Trek! We snorkeled with whale sharks in La Paz and had two phenomenal days of diving in Cabo. We went down to Cabo for the first time as a group of three couples and Philip was amazing to work with. He is very knowledgeable about the area exactly where to go and what time to do it. All transportation, dives, and accommodations were planned well ahead of time before we arrived. Travel was painless. What really sets apart Cabo Trek from other dive shops from my direct experience and observation is that you just know that they care about your experience. I'm not suggesting that other shops don't, it's just that we experienced it first hand as they went above and beyond for us. What impressed me the most however was how knowledgeable and conversationally-minded they are. On the last full day of our trip before departing, we went on a Humpback whale watching tour. Our boat captain was able to find the whales pretty quickly and we witnessed a mother humpback teaching her calf to breach. Incredible! While heading back, our captain located another group of whales near the arch and after a few minutes, it became very crowded with other tour boats (packed to the rim). Our captain was always respectful of the whales and gave enough distance where we could take great photos and witness something really amazing. Other boats however were practically on top of the whales and at one point were driving them so that their passengers could get directly next to them. It's one thing if the whales choose to come next to your boat, it's another thing entirely to drive them. Cabo Trek is not about creating "tourist thrills" and stressing the whales out (let alone there are rules in place to not do it), but rather education. We learned so much about the whales. While on our trip we heard from a pHD and a marine biologist. The marine biologist was literally in tears of joy when we were able to see the mother teach her calf to breach. Overall - I just loved the trip and would recommend Cabo Trek to anyone! Last but not least, we had some really good boat captains and Dive Masters. Ask for Manuel as the captain and David as the Dive Master. They are both masters at their craft. If you choose to go to La Paz and see the whale sharks, make sure you are fully prepared in two groups (one on each side) to take turns getting into the water at a moment's notice with your snorkeling gear on and your feat hanging over the side facing outward. Your guide will direct you to the whale sharks. Make sure that you don't swim towards your guide but rather where he/she is pointing. Sometimes the whale sharks will move slower as they feed, but when they are just swimming - WOW can they move. Nonetheless, it is a really cool experience and if you prepared ahead of time to be completely ready to jump in, you will have much more time in the water with the whale sharks.
I dove with Cabo Trek as a client in July and started talking with Philip about leading dive groups down to Cabo. I just got back from 10 days of leading 2 tours (5 day trips) and they were amazing. Whale sharks, 2 days of diving and finishing off with humpbacks. My clients loved their experience and I wouldn't think about booking with anyone else. Cabo Trek fits all the criteria I promise on my webpage when booking a dive- honest , reliable, eco -friendly and educational (marine biologists leading the trips). The organization for the trips (considering I live in San Diego and was all done by text and phone calls) was spot on and booking/payments for clients was easy. The service was 5 stars and very professional. Even better Cabo Trek is located in an easy to find and convenient location. I highly recommend booking with Cabo Trek for your diving adventure. They offer multiple dive sites and experiences and can even help you with hotels and transport. Grey whales, humpbacks , whale sharks and turtle releases are some of the experiences you can sign up for. Again , all I can say is that Cabo Trek is 5 stars in my book and look forward to many more dives with them in the near future . Thanks Philip!!
Had two great days of diving. Our guide David was excellent. Dove the arches, corridor, pellucan point and sand falls.
It was my first time scuba diving since getting certified 5 months prior, and my boyfriend was finishing his open water certification with Cabo Trek. We obviously don’t have a lot of experience scuba diving, but we have taken snorkeling tours all over the world. Cabo Trek was excellent. Ricardo was our guide and instructor, and he was fantastic. He was so genuine and excited to be doing what he was doing, and he tailored everything to our level of experience. I felt spoiled with the level of service and attention we received. I don’t know if we got lucky or what, but the first day we went, there were only two other people on the boat with their own guide, and the second day we were the only ones on the boat. Their boats are very nice and seemed brand new. I hope all of our future scuba experiences are as good as this one was. Thank you, Cabo Trek!
Our two sons, 12 and 14, recently completed their Padi certification with Cabo Trek. We couldn't have asked for a better experience! From the first text messages with Phillip he was quick to respond, informative, easy to deal with and a pleasure to work with. Once in Cabo, we were delighted with all aspects of Cabo Trek's operations. Their equipment was well maintained and COVID friendly. Thais and Angelica were attentive, knowledgeable and patient with our family group of 12 people when we completed our final dives and snorkel outings. Magnificent scenery and lots fo memories to add to our family adventures. Thank you Cabo Trek...until next time.
