This is a really long drive to get to decent snorkeling. Given that the beaches around Cabo are not safe for snorkeling, and we have snorkeled at Chileno and Santa Maria, we decided to give this a try. Guides were friendly and helpful and the lunch was tasty. Just a really long day.

This is an all day 8 hour tour -takes 2.5 hours from San Jose Dolphin Center to the Gear Tent, then 2-3 hours preparing to snorkel and boat trips to 3 sites , lunch for an hour and 2.5 hours back. Most of the road is paved until after Ribera then it is partially rocky and bumpy.
Unfortunately, we had bad weather. The excursion should have been cancelled, as for a 10 hour day we got less than 1hour on the water and even then the water was really rough and murky and we didn't see much. There was a lot of travelling and waiting around, with communication really bad on what was going on. Our guide did not seem interested and did not support us even though a number of us were sick from the really rough water. The two upsides were our driver was lovely and the lunch was great. Very disappointed with day.
Experiencing Cabo Pulmo is grand, but the ocean’s unpredictability was challenging. The currents at the sea lions shortened that stop over as they did at our initial stop at the coral reefs. May is a better month than March, although we did see whale activity quite near us.
This is the most amazing snorkeling trip I have ever taken and I have been on many. Thousands of fish all different types. Schools of jacks, all the colorful reef fish, sea lions, turtles! Just amazing. It is a long ride (about 2 and half hours each way) but we knew that going in. Only reason it’s not a 5 is the tour was so unorganized. Once arriving , we waited nearly an hour to get in the water. Once back to shore the driver was not there and we had to walk back to the checkin point (about half mile) there was really no direction on what to do once the trip finished so it felt like you were wondering around. No underwater pictures from the trip but a few from the area.
This was a great snorkeling tour. It was well worth it. We probably got a couple hours of actual snorkeling in (it takes a couple hours to get there from Cabo San Lucas) and then we had a great lunch at a local restaurant. The tour went smoothly from the pick up at the hotel to the return. Both our bus driver and our snorkelling guide and the captain of the boat were great. It was limited to just 8 people, so it was just our family with two other couples.
2.5 hours drive to the park, about 30 minutes to get ready. Actual snorkeling time is less than and hour hours. Tour guide spent a good 30 minutes chasing whales (not the purpose of our trip) and driving the boat in circles. We could have done that ourselves. Then we spent another 30 minutes picking off the gear. Had a rather slow lunch, and another 2 hours drive back to Cabo. Yes there was lot of marine life but the water made it difficult to see. It's a decent experience but way overpriced. Or maybe our tour operator was not competent enough to find the best spots. Ideally we would have spent way less time on the boat chasing whales and actually spend time snorkling.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves especially great was the ability to visit four different sites. Incomparable.
I would recommend this tour for several reasons. I emailed them and they responded quickly and answered my questions and then offered us a decent price for tour. They also picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel , which was a must for us. The crew of Jesus and captain Christian were more then qualified to make sure you are safe on the water, Jesus makes sure everyone is close to his lead and Christian is very good with boat to round you up when snorkel location is over. We had the opportunity to follow several Humpback whales which was an added bonus. They also stopped by a dive site and let us hang over boat with mask and snorkel to get our eyes on a Bull shark on a wreck below us. I am a certified diver and did not get to Scuba this trip but enjoyed the snorkeling with the wife. Gil was our driver for the 2hr drive up to Pulmo and he was great and was able to share a delicious lunch that is included with tour. Cabo Pulmo is a rustic and cool place to check out, whether you are diving or snorkeling it is the place to experience. Thank you much.
Awesome experience with guides Jerry, Muneco, and addy. We got to stop by the arches for pictures, snorkel amongst a bunch of fish with our guide pointing out what they were, and lastly we got lucky and saw two humpback whales surface 100 feet away from our boat.
We took a Cabo Adventures Cruise and it was amazing. The crew was great. Marko made sure we were taken care of and was always working. My dad is 87 and he made sure we had a nice place in the shade on the boat and he was taken care of. I would highly suggest this crew and this tour. My daughter loved the paddle boarding. Lunch and drinks were great! Thanks for the great experience.
Amazing snorkeling experience. Great visibility and lots of fish. Both the driver and the guide were awesome.
First off, you should do this if you're at all curious, if only to see what's it like and what's happening outside the main tourist area. It's changing fast. Secondly, you will likely have at least one excellent snorkel out of the three or four drop spots, with turtles and schools of circling fish and eels and other highlights. The reefs are protected and the coral seems fairly healthy. One deeper water drop was kind of a bust and the current at another was quite challenging, but you never know. If you're thinking of going, you probably won't care that the drive is a bit long, the last bit over super bumpy roads, and that the guidance, while friendly, is a bit vague. The fiberglass boats are spare and you can't bring towels on them, but whether they tell you or not you need to bring anything else you think you might want, like something to blow your nose or wipe your eyes, and stow it in open compartments. There is no dock, no landing. The "Pulmo style" of embarcation is to sit on the boat on the beach while it's backed into the water by the dive guide in a pickup while the captain starts the outboard motor, and when you're done, you jump off the side of the boat into shallow water and then walk in through the surf. It was a bit more physical than I expected. Lunch was Baja fish tacos at a beach shack restaurant in the little town, you have to pay for your Pacifica but you earned it. It's about as authentic Baja as you can get on a day trip from a fancy resort.
We had an awesome experience! We certainly will use this company again. Fernando was our snorkeling guide and he helped us every step of the way.
The 2 hour ride to and back was just not worth it for us. It was very primitive , bumpy dirt road out for the last couple miles, garbage everywhere ( that's just Mexico) , no running water to shower off ocean water. it trickles out shower head. We were expecting to go to the actual national park entrance and at least read some material or get some information on the park. Guide was great and first stop was great the next two were good as well, but out in the middle of a dive site 5 out of 7 of us got nauseated.
I’ve snorkeled a lot, and was surprised both how average Cabo Pulmo was , and how little we got to actually snorkel. We were picked up at Cabo Dolphin at 8 am, got to Cabo Pulmo and were in boat by 10:30. Snorkeled around and went to a couple sites, saw various schools of fish, sea turtles but that was the highlight. If you’re looking for bright coral, you won’t find it at Cabo Pulmo but I should’ve researched that ahead of time. The part that surprised me most was how little we got to snorkel. We snorkeled until around 12:30 pm id say? Then had lunch (ok tacos, no complaints) and were back by like 3. Maybe it’s just me, but for $270 per person I would’ve expected more than just 2 hours of snorkeling. Especially since the website says it’s a 10 hour excursion, which I guessed would mean about 4 hours of snorkel time. (10 - 2 hrs getting there -2 hrs getting back - .5 lunch - 1 hour buffer time). If it’s your first time snorkeling, and you have money to spend, it’s not a bad trip. But I wish we saved our money instead for say another day in San Jose Del Cabo
Do not take booking with Victor lightly!!!!! They changed the pickup for my tour but the app never showed the changes and I missed the tour. I would be surprised if they publish this
This was a super fun first experience snorkeling for my 14 year old son. The driver, boat captain, and snorkel guide were a great team. We were well taken care of and the lunch spot was a fun local spot with great food. We had 3 snorkel spots from the boat. Highlight of snorkeling was the crazy big school of Jack fish! A very memorable day! A big thumbs up!
Leo and the entire crew did a wonderful job keeping us safe and and the water was great the entire trip was fabulous, we did snorkeling in two different bays with lots of fish and fun.
Gil the driver was great. Jose as the snorkeling guide was wonderful and the captain was superb. The fish were wonderful! The school of Jack Tuna was awesome. Definitely recommend it.
We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The snorkeling was great. The bumpy ride was worth it. If you want white glove, it's not for you. If you want an adventure worth having, book it.
Amazing place to go with family and friends, very fun spot to go, many different things to do in this one spot, in conclusion, very fun and enjoyable
It was an awesome snorkel trip, nice employees, and we saw a lot of whales and sea lions, they also had paddle boards, kayaks, and sea scooters
This is our second adventure with this company. They are the best!!! Jorge was our guide and he was absolutely the best guide! You can tell he loves doing this and loves Cabo! He was so accommodating to our every need. We are a group of 8 seniors from Idaho!
Great fun, clean everything & efficient place to adventure with! Bus picked us up on time nice guy & van. Place to sign in is nice & food was good for what it was! Amazing boat guy named Shaggy!
I was worried about the long drive. The four spots we visited were awesome and the guide and captain did a good job. Would recommend.
Best snorkeling experience. Our family of 5 had a great time! We were glad we took the day and got to see a ton of fish, a turtle, and sea lions. The lunch was delicious.
Amazing time with captain shaggy, and your guide José! They had lots of experience and we got to see turtles, puffer fish and more.
The crew, Israel (Izzy), Poncho, and Saul MADE this excursion the BEST time of a 15 day trip. Got us to where the whales were jumping and awesome snorkeling. The breakfast and lunch were the best meals I’ve had on the trip. Great attitudes and super friendly. Five ⭐️
We saw SO many different fish! Probably the coolest snorkeling experience of my life! We saw a sea turtle right beside the boat. We saw a family of humpback whales! We saw a school or big eyed jacks! So amazing!
Fantastic trip with incredible views and great snorkeling. The food and drink were delicious, the boats were comfortable and spacious, but most of all Razz, our guide, along with his team, were full of energy, knowledge, and fun. I would thoroughly recommend
Shaggy was amazing! Him and Jesus were the best tour guides!!! Highly recommend! Came from the United States and would gladly do it again.
Absolutely amazing day from pick up to drop off! We had the best driver- Gil who embraced trying new candy, took us to an amazing ice cream shop on the way back and told us about what we were seeing on the drive. Saul our snorkelling guide had already been out in the morning to find the best spots for us to go as it was very windy the day we were there. He showed us 4 turtles and pointed out so many fish along the way. We never felt rushed during the swim and we felt well prepared for anything. We made fast friends with other on the trip and had just an amazing day.
We felt like we were on a private boat, which was amazing! We came late September/early October and we only had a couple other couples on our boat which felt like a luxury cruise. We got to see the arch, snorkel for a long time, and got great food and refreshments the whole time. The staff was so friendly and professional, we highly recommend!
Cabo Pulmo is breathtakingly beautiful! Don't let the 2-hour drive from Cabo detour you. The landscape is amazing and the underwater sights are thrilling! Santiago and his team are awesome! We would definitely take this tour again and again!
Benjamin Alex and everyone on board were every friendly great service amazing people I highly recommend that everyone does this it is a great experience
Loved the adventure! Snorkeling was awesome! Great staff! We got some great pictures and even saw manta rays jumping out of the ocean! Third time booking with this company and they have all been great!
We took the snorkel tour, while on our honeymoon. Our captain (Luis, or 'Chicken Little') was awesome and made the ride fun. Our guide, Salvador, was hilarious and lots of fun. Our photographer was Pablo, and he got great photos despite the water not being clear at all. We had a really great time and couldn't have asked for better. The snorkel was fun, the kayaks, and the sea scooters were really cool.
Unbeatable experience!! Our tour guide, snorkel guide, and boat driver were all fantastic! Pick up from the hotel was super easy and convenient early in the morning, snacks, lunch, and all snorkel gear was provided. The stop for ice cream on the way back was such a fun addition. The road can be pretty bumpy, especially the last bit on the dirt road so plan ahead if you can motion sickness, but our driver was great! It was my friend’s 1st time snorkeling and my 3rd so we weren’t really experienced at all but everyone was so helpful, even in the spots that were a little more difficult. You could sit out or get back in the boat early if you ever needed to and the snorkel guide pointed out ALL kinds of fun things in the water. We will 1000% book with Cabo Adventures again for this tour or another in the future.
We had a glorious time snorkeling with Saul as our guide and Xavier as our driver. We saw more colorful fish than I saw in Hanauma Bay in Hawaii (which says a lot)! The highlight was being dropped into a school of thousands do silver snapper! It felt like flying! The lunch was delicious and the gear was in great shape. My only caution is that the two hour drive each way is half on a paved road and half on a dirt road in a van, so if you have a bad back this is not for you and one of Cabo Adventures closer snorkeling days would make more sense. We loved our guides and had a great time in a friendly group of eight adventurers.
Angelo, Raul, Cuba were amazing!!! Fish were everywhere! Great hospitality. Creative pictures! Snacks were good and filling
This would have been five stars if I was just rating the driver, Gil, and Charlie and his snorkeling crew. But as I’m reviewing our experience it is lower because the water was cold and it was very windy causing big waves. After snorkeling the first reef which was fantastic for the number and different fish we saw. We went to see the sea lion colony and that was most entertaining. But the boat ride to the second reef was very bouncy and my granddaughter started to feel sick and we decided to forgo that last snorkel. Obviously the weather is not under the control of the guides, but it did serve to remind us to check out that information before going again. Which we certainly want to do. I can’t say enough good things about Gil and Charlie. They were both helpful, experienced, and really nice people
Pablo and his crew was fire asf. brought bread to attract the fish. was entertaining, showed us some cool areas on the coast. and then snorkeling was so fun.
This tour was amazing, they treated everyone kindly and gave the best experience! Highly recommend, got to see many fish and some other wildlife!
Unexpectedly had some great whale watching, crew was great, food was above expectation, and snorkeling was solid! I’d do it again in a heartbeat!
Pedro was fantastic! Swam with sharks. Water was nice and warm. Amazing lunch. Drinks flowed. Not too long. Saw some wales too!
Awesome Trip! Hudson was the best guide! He even rescued my phone that I dropped into the ocean getting back onto the boat!😁
We had the best snorkeling tour imaginable. What make the tour special was the guides we had. They were knowledgeable fun and made the tour incredibly memorable. This tour comes recommended by all of the hotels in the area! Trusted and memorable trip!
Very nice place, not as good as Cozumel but ok. Diving are a bit rush and shallow but this aquatic park is a must see if you come down to Baja peninsula.
It was and amazing experience, something that i will definitely repeat! The boat and gear was in perfect condition; the crew what's very well experienced, trained and they had an amazing customer service; I felt safe at all times. Kudos to everyone!
