Private Snorkeling Tour In Cabo San Lucas

We went on the private snorkeling tour with our guide Adrianna and our captain Adrian and had so much fun. We saw a huge pod of dolphins and even three (maybe four) sea turtles. The snorkeling was great and there were tons of fish and no other boats around. Would highly recommend. Just bring sunscreen and seasickness meds (even if you don't get sick, just in case).

Captain Freddie and Dive guide Donna were the best! Quick tour of the Arch, divorce beach and then right to Pelican rock for the snorkeling adventure. Donna was thorough about safety great spots to see the best sea life. We always enjoying new dive spots and looking forward to our next trip back in January 2027. This is the way to go with small kids. We were a group of 7 with three kids ages 3, 7, and 9. Adriana was awesome and patient with them. They loved it! Adrian navigated the choppy waves great. If you are considering it, just book it :-)

The tour took us past Pelican Rock, the arch and along the pacific ocean past "Divorce Beach." Then onwards to our first snorkeling reef where the water was crystal clear. Maria, our guide, offered wetsuits in case anyone wanted one though the water was plenty warm at 80 degrees and only one person in our group opted for the spring wetsuit. We saw Mobula Rays jumping out of the water in large groups and Maria pointed out an entire group of them gliding across the seabed, clearly visible even from a depth of about 30ft. One in our group saw baby reef shark and followed it. Our captain, Freddie spotted sea turtles on our way back and we stopped to observe them. Maria is a marine biologist and a wealth of knowledge about the local wildlife. She was in the water with us the whole time, carefully checking that we were comfortable at all times and replaced a snorkel when it leaked. We saw all manner of fish and compared to prior trips to the Caribbean, the waters of Cabo San Lucas were so crystal clear we could see through 30-40 feet in depth easily. This made the last stop of snorkeling around Pelican Rock so amazing. Not sure if the afternoon trips have similar visibility, or if we just got lucky the day we went but I highly recommend the trip.

Very convenient to downtown and cruise tender. If your snorkel mask doesn’t work perfectly, ask for a replacement.

They really stayed in touch to schedule my tour. I snorkeled at Pelican Rock and I had my very own marine biologist snorkeling with me and pointing things out and talking about them after. Adriana (may have name wrong) was a pleasure. We swam with sea lions. They paired my trip with a first time diver. The dive instructor, Phillip, made it seem easy. Enough I was considering it on a next trip. The Equipment was high quality and zi voukd really tell the differe.

Our captain was Freddy, and Adriana was our guide on a two hour snorkeling tour. We were fortunate enough to see humpback whales during the trip. Adriana was absolutely fantastic, and was in the water with our six year old granddaughter during the snorkeling portion. I've been on a few snorkeling tours in Mexico, but this was the best. Thank you Adriana and Captain Freddy.

My husband and I booked a two hour snorkel trip with our 11 & 9 yr old kids and 70 yr old grandparent . Aurora was a great guide . She took the greatest care with my 70 year old mother who had never snorkeled before making sure she was comfortable.

This was a wonderful, professional, and fun trip! Our cruise ship was running late and they waited for us. That alone was amazing! Our guide Julio the shark was awesome! Snorkling was beautiful! I highly recommend this tour!

Excellent trip! They were willing to reschedule due to bad weather and gave great suggestions on the best time to go. The coach was professional and took good care of my two little kids during snorkeling. I truly appreciate their service. We had a wonderful experience and highly recommend them to everyone!

Booking was easy for a private yacht tour. The 2 man crew were a bit rushed bc they had a booking right after ours. It took 30min to anchor the boat to snorkel because the windlass wasn’t working. We got to snorkel 20min then called in for a 15min lunch we did not eat. We booked a 2hr private tour for $500. I think the actual time we spent snorkeling and site seeing was maybe 1hr. Little disappointed but weather was great, and not the crew’s fault for tight bookings. Would suggest checking everything is working properly before first tour of the day.

Aurora and Adrian were fantastic guides and we had a lot of fun in Chileno bay. The mobula rays were jumping out of the water and swimming in large schools. We were able to jump in the water with them and got fantastic video footage. It was surreal to be amidst hundreds of rays. We also saw reef sharks and lots of different fish. Great boat and lots of fun!

It was a 4 hrs snorkelling trip, that was amazing, CaboTrek was phenomenal. We saw whales, tons of fish and our guides were friendly and helpful throughout.

We had a fabulous time doing snorkeling today. Our guide, Joy, was great. She showed lots of patience with the kids and also made us comfortable while snorkeling. My wife has water fear but she overcame that with Joy’s help and had a great time. Would def do it again and highly recommend.

Our guide, Vanuza, and Captain Freddie were amazing. They were excellent guides. Vanu was really knowledgeable about whales and the area and we learned a lot. Even tho this was not a whale watching adventure we saw whales and sped out to see them. That was really special. And the snorkeling was super - really good equipment, Vanu accompanied us and we saw so many fish. It was a 5/5 experience and we highly recommend d it!!

My wife and I had an amazing time on our tour. We saw fish of all shapes and sizes and even some sea lions! Our guide Maria was very knowledgeable of the marine life and did a great job showing us around the arches. I even lost my wedding ring in the ocean and Maria got help from some scuba divers to recover it! I will never forget this trip and highly recommend checking it out!

We went with a family of 7 and the youngest was 10 years old, the oldest in her 70’s. It was amazing and insightful. We were on a time restraint due to our Carnival Cruise and they took great care of us. Our tour guide, Maria, was amazing!! She took great care of my kids. If I ever come back to Cabo I will book again with Maria.

It was amazing. We had divemaster Maria and we were able to actually see Orca's. There was a spotting and she made shore we got amazing photos and videos. Then we went to snorkel and was very educational and accommodating by asking us what fish we wanted to see and then changed her plans accordingly. She is so kind and if you reading this Divemaster Maria, we will see u in december hopefully and were sorry this review took so long! It was amazing we cant wait to go back we cant enjoy cabo without her at cabo trek!

This was a great boating tour adventure of the spots around the Sea of Cortez off the coast of Cabo. We saw the most important spots and then were taking to two snorkeling places to see the marine wildlife. Maria and Adrian were amazing!

Great tour, very well organized and great communication. Our guide, Maria, and captain, Freddy, were both awesome! We had 3 adults a 3 kids under the age of 7, and everyone had a blast, Would 100% recommend.

This trip was absolutely amazing and one of the highlights of my time in Cabo. Jitka was our guide. I went with my sister and she was afraid of getting in the water. Jitka was so friendly and encouraging. My sister ended up jumping into the water and Jitka made sure she felt safe the whole time. I think this would be a great tour for anyone, regardless of skill level. I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it.

Great afternoon with Cabo Trek! We went to the corridor with our guide Maria and captain Adrian. We had a combination of divers and snorkelers onboard, and the team accommodated each with a highly-skilled guide. We saw beautiful underwater wildlife and enjoyed the boat ride as well. CaboTrek has BY FAR the most tech/user-friendly booking, and they are great communicators. Maria brought her camera and shared all the wonderful pics with us (free of charge, another great customer service).

We loved having Anjelica share her knowledge of all the fish species we saw, not to mention the history and geography of the area we toured! We had the best time! Our Captain was very kind and intuitively helpful. Also highly skilled at navigating a tight marina!! To top it all off, Anjelica took wonderful photos and videos to commemorate our adventure!

Loved it. Booked for a family of 5 with three kids 10-12. Donna was an awesome guide and we also saw many whales along the way. (April). We went to two diff spots and all the gear was provided. Great amount of fish and variety. We would def book again.

Vano was an excellent guide for us on a high seas day. She was very kind and levelheaded and our safety was her top concern. Seas were very choppy and visibility was poor, but our tour and snorkel trek was still the highlight of our trip!

Great time in Cabo! Dario, our snorkeling guide, was truly excellent. His enthusiasm — for both the area and diving - is really fantastic. We booked the private 2 hour journey and really enjoyed it. Dario also helped my reluctant 12 year-old daughter which really made the trip special all-around. Great experience!

This was the highlight of our trip. We did a private snorkel tour with 9 adults and two babies. The driver Freddie and the marine biologist snorkel guide Angelica were both fantastic. I super strongly recommend using them, can’t say enough good things here.

This tour was Amazing! Adrien the Captain, and Joy our Guide were the absolute BEST. They took us looking for Whales and did not stop for 4 hours until They found the whales. It was incredible! They weee incredible!

This tour was amaaazing. We ran into the Cabo Trek booth by accident walking around La Marina and it was the best "accident" ever because we had such a great time! My husband and I went snorkling in a private tour in Pelican rock with them and Felipe made sure we saw all the magic under water. He has great deal of knowledge of marine life and ensured we saw all of it. We were able to see a great variety of fish, also got sight of an octopus, jellyfish and an eel. Also a really pleasant surprise is that he got to take us pictures with his special camera under the sea which was incredible for our memories and experience!! Can't recommend enough if you're looking for any guided tour when in Cabo! Can't wait to come back for more tours and maybe whale watching!

This company is professional and safe. We chartered a 2 hour snorkeling tour with my wife and 13 year old daughter and it was absolutely wonderful ❤️. Vanuza, our guide and a marine biologist, was informative about the history of the coastline and the sea life we encountered. Freddie was our captain and had his eye on us the whole time we were in the water. I would never use anyone else but Cabo Trek. They go in small groups for a personal experience and it shows

I like that it was a smaller boat. That alone made the experience more pleasant because you’re not fighting a ton of people. The guide was the best!! She was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We had three children with us and she was so patient with them. The area of the excursion itself was the best snorkeling I’ve ever seen!! Even the equipment was great. Overall, a fabulous experience.

We actually booked the per person snorkeling tour. No one else booked it so we actually got a private tour! This snorkeling trip was awesome. We were looking for a more informed snorkeling trip as opposed to the party boat/unlimited drinks included kind of tour. We had Andrea as our guide and she was so great. She was a marine biologist studying whales. She had a great knowledge of sea mammals and the marine life in the area. We had a little tour of the famous Arch and the beaches and then into the water for snorkeling. If you are looking for a tour that is focused on snorkeling with trained experts in marine life, this is your tour!! We loved it!!

This was everything I hoped for in a snorkeling tour. We were a group of two adults and four teens and went on the 8am tour. Our guide Andrea and the boat captain were awesome - enthusiastic and informative. We were lucky enough to see a mama and baby whale on the way out and Andrea just lit up and gave so much info on whales. She clearly loved what she was doing. The snorkeling was great and it's important to note that wetsuits were included and were a huge help right now as the water is a bit chilly and we would not have been able to stay in the water that long without them. I would highly recommend this company and Andrea!

Venuza our marine biologist and Freddie, our captain were gracious hosts! We had a wonderful time learning all about the Sea of Cortez, whales, dolphins, and indigenous fish. Highly recommend.

We did a private snorkeling/whale watching excursion. Venuza, the marine biologist, and Freddie, our captain were wonderful. Venuza was highly knowledgeable and full of interesting facts which were very informative. Freddie was the king of finding whales and we found many. The snorkeling was amazing as well. Would definitely recommend Cabo Trek!

I booked with Cabo Trek for the whale shark and group snorkel 3 months in advance of our travel date and received confirmation right away. If you book more than one excursion, you can get 10% off the 2nd one. So if you have a couple in mind, it makes sense to book the cheaper one first. Unfortunately due to global warming, the whale sharks are migrating later and later every year. Our whale shark excursion had to be canceled 2 days before we departed for our trip. Cabo Trek will only do the whale shark excursion only if sightings are guaranteed and they were quick to refund our money right away. We were still able to do the group snorkeling tour with Andrea. Our party of 4 ended up having a private experience since no one else signed up that day. Andrea and the boat driver took us to see the "Arch" and the local Sea Lion colony, Lover's Beach, and Divorce Beach. We stopped at Pelican Rock for about an hour of snorkeling. I would recommend the 8am tour because as we left this area it was totally packed with boats and tourists. We were able to snorkel with some sea lions and lotsa fish. I was surprised how clear the water was in this area. It's too bad the water also got a bit rough and I got sea sick so I had to get back onto the boat. Andrea also took pictures and videos throughout the excursion. She showed everything to us and when we got back to the Cabo Trek office. We decided to purchase all for $50 and it was totally worth it. We hope to come back to Cabo and do the whale shark experience next time.

Absolutely loved our afternoon tour with Andrea and Freddy! We would definitely do this again! They went out of their way to ensure that we got to see multiple whale sightings, dolphins, got to watch the sea lion shenanigans and swam with many amazing fish! Drinks and snacks were great too. They were both wonderful, and I would highly recommend!

Our tour guide Vanuza was amazing! She was lots of fun and very knowledgeable. We got to see lots of wildlife including sea lions and sea turtles. The only thing I would say is I thought it would be a little more colorful. Overall great experience!

Originally we planned to do the Whale Shark tour but unfortunately the migration timing was such that Cabo Trek had to cancel due. Obviously this is not on them and we actually appreciate the efforts the tour operators, government, etc. take to protect the habitat of the whale sharks. But still a bummer. When they contacted us to cancel we were offered a full refund or a list of options we could do. We chose to do a snorkel trip. All communication with staff while dealing with the change was great. We ended up on a 4 hour private snorkel tour. Boat and gear was great. Brian was our guide and he did a great job showing us where to go, what to look out for, some local info while out of the water. He was fantastic and even took some go pro video of us and shared it so we could have some great footage of our experience. We saw turtles, rays and tons of fish and coral reefs. Highly recommend! We will be back for the whale shark swim and when we do we will not hesitate to go with Cabo Trek.

If you find yourself in Cabo looking to get on the water or in the water you won't go wrong booking a trip with Cabo Trek. I booked a 4-hour snorkeling trip for my wife and son and it did not disappoint. Our guide Vanuza met us at the office she packed up the equipment we needed and then lead us to the boat where we meet our captain Fredy. Vanuza was very knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. On the way out to the first site, we found an injured Sea lion with a fishing line around its neck and she took pictures so she could report it to a local group that will try to help the animal. As we continued on our way Fredy and Vanuza spotted three Humpback whales. We weren't expecting to see whales and we were just as excited to see them as Fredy and Vanuza were. Instead of speeding off once we saw them, we stayed until they resurfaced less than 100 feet behind us. Fredy turned the boat around and we followed them at a safe distance until they dove again. If this was the whole trip we would've counted it a successful trip. Once we made it to our first site at Chileno Bay we were in the water within minutes. Vanuza was in the water with us and guided us for about an hour exploring the beautiful waters, even though we didn't find a reef shark Vanuza worked hard looking for one. Once back in the boat Vanuza gave us options for our second site. On the way, I spotted the whales again pretty far in the distance, and Fredy turned the boat and had us there within minutes for a third and fourth look at them then we were back on our way to our second site. Once there it was a little busy as it is close to the beach that is easily accessed by water taxi. It was still a good time and we had Sea lions swimming with us which was a new experience. There were a lot of other boats but Fredy maneuvered us into a great spot and made sure we were safe from the other boats while exiting and entering the water. It was a great day and I couldn't have asked for a better captain than Fredy and our guide Vanuza. I love to support good local companies and guides when traveling and Cabo Trek is one of these companies. They are easy to communicate with, the booking process was easy and I received several emails with detailed directions and meeting locations. Next time we are in Cabo I will definitely book another trip with them.
