Private Beginner Scuba Diving Experience In Cabo San Lucas

This was a really great beginner scuba experience. Our guide, Morgane, was so instructive and supportive. She tailored the day and the dives to our comfort level and experience. Would 100% dive with Cabo Private Guide again (and hopefully with Morgane!)

Wow! WOW!! BIG WOW!!! I am an experienced diver and wanted to take two friends who had never dived before. We requested a private tour with two dive masters on a private boat to optimize the experience for my beginner friends. I was a little rusty myself, as I hadn't dived in several years. Prior to that I had dived approximately 70 times all over the world - Caribbean, Hawaii, Australia, etc. This was by far the best service I have ever experienced. The dive masters helped us with everything - carrying the gear, packing and unpacking, donning and doffing the gear. Both dive masters were very knowledgeable and experienced. They were very focused on our every need. They communicated clearly. They were patient, friendly, helpful. I felt completely confident that my friends were safe with their dive master. I plan to return to them as often as I possibly can.

The experience is fantastic, we feel safe all the time. It was fun and super educated we learn a lot. Laura and her team were amazing.

Family of four - two certified diver parents who hadn't been on a dive in a long time, and two boys ages 12 and 14 who are strong swimmers but never tried SCUBA. Private boat with the four of us and two certified divers as our guides (one named Mary, can't remember the other name unfortunately), we did two dives of about 30 minutes each. The guides were terrific - they took a good amount of time to work through the basics of the gear with our boys, and to give the adults a refresher on everything. And most importantly, throughout both dives one of the guides had a hand ON the boys at all times. The weather and the water were not cooperative on our day, unfortunately. Visibility was terrible, and there were very strong currents that really made it less enjoyable. But all of that is out of the control of the operator, and they did great with everything under their control. We live in Los Angeles and traveled to Cabo by cruise ship. Communication was easy ahead of time in booking, making the deposit, etc., via text and whatsapp. On the day everything was smooth, everyone spoke excellent english which was much appreciated. When we returned home my wife had some problems with an ear infection, and the doctor was concerned that it might be an impact from the dive. We contacted the shop again and asked for the dive info from the guide's computer, which the shop provided within 30 minutes of our asking. Really appreciated the quick response to help put our minds at ease. Highly recommend the shop, thank you

I had an amazing experience getting certified through this dive company. From start to finish, everything felt organized, safe, & welcoming. My instructor, Florent, was absolutely phenomenal—so nice, easygoing, & incredibly motivating. He created a relaxed environment while still making sure I fully understood everything & felt confident in the water. I never felt rushed or intimidated, just supported the whole way through. I couldn’t have asked for a better first diving experience & would 100% recommend this company to anyone looking to get certified!

I just finished my Open Water certification in Cabo with Julio, and honestly, it was amazing. He made everything so easy to understand and was super patient with me the whole time. From the pool lessons to the open water dives, he made sure I felt safe and confident. By the last day, I felt so proud of myself and so ready to dive on my own ... Julio really made it fun and stress-free. Also, my boyfriend did his Advanced Diver cert with Javier, and he had an incredible time too. Both instructors are awesome, friendly, and really know how to make diving a great experience. If you’re thinking about getting certified in Cabo, Julio and Javier are the ones to go to!

I am an AOW diver, but wanted to dive with my daughter who is just beginning. Julio was amazing with her. He made sure she was comfortable and confident in the water and was a great guide. I highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time. Diego and Cesaar were our guides today and they really made the dive amazing for our two sons. 11 and 12 years old. It was just 4 of us, my husband, two boys and I, Two guides and the boat captain. My husband and I are PADI certified, but this was our kids first dive! Our youngest son was nervous when it was his turn get in. He was crying and saying he didn't want to go. They were experts at making him feel comfortable and took lots of baby steps to help him gain confidence. Before we knew it he was hanging out with puffer fish on the Ocean floor. Diego and Cesar literally stayed connected to each of them the whole dive and completely took control of them being able to do the basic skills and made sure they were getting to have an amazing positive first dive experience. Our sons are all excited to get certified now and had really great experiences. Which is what we had hop'd for. Everything was professional and safe and very very well done! I highly recommend. I would like to add that, had I been organized enough, I wish I had booked a beginning pool scuba session, just like a hour lesson... back home in Chicago before we came. They don't advertise their classes like that, but Our local dive school would have done it as a private lesson. I think it would have gone along way for all of us being able to relax and enjoy this dive and feel like they already were comfortable doing the basics . It is a little stressfull for anyone trying scuba for the first time in open water, and I suppose afterwards, as a parent I felt like just because you CAN skip the pool sessions doesn't mean you should. Especially for a Kid. ... but all in all I am super supper grateful that we all got to do this today! Cabo Private Guide gave us a 5 star experience!

We had the most amazing experience with Javi and Morgane doing our first dive with kids. I was a bit hesitant to do the dive with kids (13 and 15) at first but Javi and Morgane were very professional, knowledgeable, entertaining and fun! We left safe at all times and would recommend them to anybody considering the first time scuba.

My beautiful gf and I went down to CPG to get open-water certified on their 2-day course without any prior scuba experience. The communication prior to arriving was exceptional and the experience with Diego, our instructor, exceeded all expectations. He was a great teacher, showed me patience (being generally uncomfortable in water due to childhood trauma) and always made us feel safe. CBG is the place to get certified in Cabo.

Went to Cabo Private Guide to get Open Water Scuba certified and our experience was phenomenal. Diego, our very knowledgeable instructor was absolutely a pleasure to work with. His expertise and personality made the experience one to remember for a lifetime. The staff in the office and the communication from the shop beforehand eased any bit of anxiety about the experience. Excellent experience with Cabo Private Dive. I recommend strongly. Laure was very kind and patient explaining everything during the booking process concerning our dives and the PADI certificate. Our dive master was very professional and patient reassuring us constantly before my daughters PADI. Above all that I lost my ring 15 metres deep and they went out of their way to communicate this to other divers which resulted in finding my ring on the sand. Very professional company. Angela was an incredible instructor and guide! Would definitely go with the shop and her again! Saw a puffed up puffer fish and guitar rays. That boat captain was great as well!

This is a copy of my Tripadvisor review: Cabo Private Guide was overall excellent. I did the Open Water course with them to get certified, and my wife did 2 days of diving with them. The booking process was quick and easy. Very responsive to emails and Whatsapp, initial response via email was <12 hours and Whatsapp was within minutes usually. Informative, helpful, excellent! I did my course with a freelance teacher they had hired (Cesar) so I cannot speak for all their guides but from what I observed they all seem friendly and knowledgeable. My guide was excellent at teaching and guiding me through the initial nerves of diving as a complete novice. Would absolutely recommend to others.

We have a few dives under our belt but still was a bit anxious. Diego put everything at ease and allowed us to have two great dives while learning new skills. This company will put your mind at ease

We did two trips with Ophelia at Cabo Private Guides and they were both incredible. We did a snorkelling tour in the corridor and had the place to ourselves. Ophelia was great at showing us different areas and tracking down different fish for us to see. Since that trip was so great, we decided to do a discover scuba diving trip. Again, Ophelia's instructions and directions were great and we were very comfortable in the water. We will be going out on the water again with Cabo Private Guides whenever we come back to Cabo. I did my open water refresher with Pepe and two dives after that, Pepe was very professional and patient. He went through the important details with me before the dive and gave me great tips for me to improve neutral buoyancy. It was along time since my last dive but now I feel comfortable getting under water again. The dive was fantastic too, saw my first shark under water! Later my wife and I did a private snorkeling tour with Felipe. Had a great chat with Felipe and fantastic time under water, he always stayed with us to make sure my wife is doing ok and pointed out interesting wildlife for us. Both Pepe and Felipe took a lot of photos during the tour and shared with us, which was amazing bonus. I also want to thank Cristina for helping us picking the right tours. Will definitely dive with the crew again next time!

5 star dive experience! Always wanted to try diving and couldn't have asked for a more personalized service. One of our group was nervous but was immediately put at ease. They had 2 instructors for our group so the more adventurous were able to dive a little deeper while the ones who needed more time were kept in the shallows - which was also full of incredible tropical fish. We'll be back again!

Incredible experience with cabo private guide! We booked a bubble maker with Morgane who was attentive, patient, caring with our 9 year old boy! He had an extraordinary experience and would like to do his certification when he turns 10 thanks to it:) Also, we made me and my spouse our first dive with them and Javi was our guide. Super professional, marine biologist, we were confident from the beginning and wow as our child, we will do our certification after this experience with javi! Moreover, we did the sea safari and Javi was still our guide! It was a memorable day, swimming with a menta ray, sea lion and dolphins! Totally stupid as a day! I loved the experience, I did my rescue course. With my good instructor Javier and his assistant Rafael. We saw a lot of fish. And we go down to 30 meters on the beach the amazing pelican
