Luis was a great guide, took us the long way so we could see the coast.
Luis was an amazing guide and provided our family with an unforgettable experience! Highly recommend this tour and Luis!
Maury Sanchez was a knowledgeable, friendly, engaging guide. The trip started with pickup at our resort in an air conditioned van. We connected to an air conditioned well equipped jeep. We traveled to the mountains initially on the main road but quickly went off road. Travelled through Santiago with a brief stop at the site of the old mission. Arrived at the preserve where we did a short hike down to an amazing waterfall. We swam there for about an hour and surprisingly had the whole preserve to ourselves. Maury set up shade and took beautiful photos of my boyfriend and I swimming under the waterfall in this amazing place. After the refreshing swim, we traveled to a local restaurant for authentically prepared fresh fish. Don’t miss this amazing trip or this amazing guide!
Thank you Maury! Without a great guide, the Jeep tour would’ve just been another ride in the back country, this time a desert. Yes, there were many things to see, and especially because we were there right after the hurricane passed and everything had come alive and was green! The tour does include a time for hiking, which is structured to what you the customer wants to do. The waterfall we hiked to, was strong and powerful because of the storm. It seemed that Maury was ready to talk about anything and do so very well. We learned about the area and the things that we were seeing, and then talked about a whole range of other wonderful subjects. The hours passed quickly, but we will remember this tour for a long time to come. Thank you, Maury and thank you everyone responsible for making this possible.
Jose Luis was a fantastic guide for the day. From driving around some of the back roads in Baja to the hike in to the waterfall we had an amazing time. Driving down the sea of cortez with lunch in Cabo Pulmo was great. Highly recommended, my partner has never really driven off road and now I'm afraid we'll need a jeep.
Marco Polo was a fantastic guide and balanced our adventure with stories about local history, culture and environmental preservation. Los Arbolitos is a magical park that offered us the chance to swim in a real life aquarium. While the drive was bumpy we experienced glimpses into small towns all along our journey. Marco made our experience perfect providing snacks and cold waters. We finished the day at a sweet restaurant in Miraflores where we had delish fish tacos and passion fruit margaritas! This experience made me never want to do group trips again! This private tour was wonderful! Thank you Marco!
Maury was an amazing guide. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and fun to be around. The whole crew was great, Would love to go back!
Jose Luis was excellent! Very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and lots of fun. Views of Fox canyon water hole and falls perfect. Lunch at local taco restaurant exceptional.
Hugo! Great guided tour through Santiago to a spectacular waterfall where we were able to leap into the water from a 40ft ledge! Exhilarating!
Pedro Salas is an amazing guide! He took us to lovely little towns and toward the soaring mountains, into a gorgeous, lush oasis and waterfall. It was really magical and a totally different experience from what I’ve had before since it showed a different side of this part of Mexico. Pedro is a great guide, very friendly and totally bilingual. Oh and we stopped for delicious fish tacos, too. Highly recommend this tour!
Marco Polo was great. He was knowledgeable, friendly, experienced and made our trip memorable. We had an amazing experience on this tour. Highly recommend! The off roading, waterfall, lunch. Everything was great!
Marco was amazing. Great experienced local guide. Great drive out. Amazing views. Hike to a beautiful waterfall and a great lunch. Can’t think of a better guide.
Amazing and excellent tour, monito is the best. The attention and the energy was insane, definitely i will recommend and will come back
Wonderful experience! The guide shared stories, made the trip adventurous, and took us to the local spots worth seeing. He truly made it a custom trip around our schedule and expectations.
We enjoyed our Baja tour today! Emilio was really friendly and fun to be around. Off-roading was fun, the waterfall hike was beautiful, and the taco stop was delicious!
Met with Luis Soto early in the morning. We had breakfast then on with the jeep tour. He was a great guide. Very knowledgeable about the area. Luis and I journey into the forest and to a waterfall that was very private! We then grabbed lunch and ended the afternoon with a scenic drive back to Los Cabos. Would highly recommend!! 5 out of 5!!
Marco Polo was awesome!! He was very nice and even though the weather wasn't the best he improvised to make the most of our time.
Hugo was an excellent guide, easy to chat with, and knowledgeable. We enjoyed hanging out with him for the day. What a fun and memorable time. Thank you!
Luis was an excellent tour guide. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area. He chose some great food options too!
This is a must have trip when visiting Cabo. The views were amazing. Emilio was professional, very informative and was very attentive to our needs. The hike into Fox Canyon was bit rough for me but, I made it. The waterfall was breathtaking!
Had a great tour today with Emilio. He picked us up promptly on time, and took us for an excellent adventure through the desert! We are so grateful for the fun adventure we had today which included, drifting through the dunes of the Baja desert, jumping off waterfalls at Fox Canyon, And enjoying a delicious lunch! Emilio was fun, laid-back, full of information and had great tunes! The day was a super successful one and a highlight of our vacation, the food at the lunch stop was delicious. Book this tour is a great day to experience Mexico with someone who knows how to drive the local roads, hike, the local hikes, and tries to teach you that you have to pencil dive on this jump! It’ll be a great day just hit book and ask for Emilio !!! Mucho gusto Emilio and Gracias!
Emillio was an amazing tour guide. He was very professional and informative. This is a must do trip if you are somewgat fit to do some rock climbing. There are some stairs. The waterfall was breathtaking.
Luis was an amazing tour guide. Very attentive and knowledgeable. He made us feel safe as our tour was customized due to some physical limitations. With us being a larger group (3 jeeps), walkie-talkie radios would’ve been a nice addition so the tour guides could communicate with each other.
We had our Jeep trip with Emilio! He was very friendly and made our private tour a great experience. 10/10 would recommend.
Sol , the guide was great. Went to Cabo Pulmo and so enjoyed the non-tourist side of Baja. Water is beautiful. April is a great time to visit.
This was one of the highlights of our week trip to Cabo! Sol took us on a fantastic drive and was a great guide. He took our pictures several times along the way and we were lucky to be some of the only ones at the waterfall while we were there. The hike down to the waterfall seemed a little daunting at first but ended up not being too long or challenging if you take it slow. We loved stopping at the Tropic of Cancer on the drive up, and were able to purchase a souvenir made by local artists at the visitor center. After the waterfall, lunch at the Ranch was delicious! Everything was taken care of for us and it was awesome.
Great tour with great sights and views. Super friendly and helpful tour guide but the driving was way too fast and scary for our liking.
We started the morning greeted at the hotel lobby with the smiling face of our guide for the day Luis. Cold water in hand, ac on, we set out for a day full of laughter, adventure and deep immersion into the beautiful lands of Cabo. As we cruised in our brand new Jeep Wrangler, Luis pointed out spots to visit, stories of his time growing up there as well as fun facts and call out I would have totally missed along the way. First stop was at El Rancho where we visited a nature preserve and did a small hike to a beautiful waterfall nestled amongst the rocks. We could have stopped for a quick bite but we opted to hit the East Cape. This is where the 4x4 off-roading fun truly began. We cruised the dirt and rock roads with the deep blues of the Pacific to the left of us and the warm vibrant sands and rocks to our right. Luis expertly navigated the tricky roads all while ensuring we had some great fun, hearty laughs and stops for breath taking views. We ended the day with a quick bite for some of the best food we have had all trip. We were sad as it came to end. We felt like we were saying goodbye to a good friend we had known for ever. In the short day we had with Luis, we not only got the amazing 4x4 experience we were expecting but we got the best service and experience we could have possibly ever wanted. We are definitely coming back! I strongly suggest you hire High Tide for your private 4x4 experience and make sure you ask for Luis. You couldn’t ask for a more friendly, down to earth knowledgeable guy.
Highly recommend a Jeep tour if you are staying in Cabo - this was our favorite activity of the trip! Luis was our guide and he was absolutely amazing! He picked us up at the hotel in the morning and took us on an outstanding tour. It was the perfect mix of safe but fun off-roading and the scenery is absolutely beautiful. It was great having Luis because he is a local and was able to answer a lot of our questions about the area and give us recommendations for great local spots to checkout. He was also extremely friendly and has a very good understanding of all the roads and small towns! If you decide to do this definitely ask for Luis!
My husband and I Loved our private jeep tour to Cabo Pulmo National Park /and the surrounding area. Our very professional, considerate, and safe driver Emilio picked us up at our hotel. It was great to have this experienced local guide share his love of nature and this beautiful area with us over the course of our outing. We opted for the non-highway route there which took us along fun, dirt roads that wound through jaw-dropping beauty. The entire experience truly blew us away! From snorkeling in the calm, aquarium-like waters of the Sea of Cortez, to stunning oceanfront/desert roads, and endless mountains, to an absolutely amazing, small-town, taco stand with delicious food and margaritas: we could not have been more impressed. To top it off, we met the sweetest wild donkeys who lived on the beach (please don't make the same mistake as us and forget to bring them treats like apples) Throughout the trip, Emilio set a chill and never-rushed vibe. At the end of the ride, I told him our outing was an experience of a lifetime...and it was! Very grateful to have been able to experience the beauty and hospitality of Los Cabos.
Sol is the best! Absolutely amazing and the best time learning about everything in the regions we visited. Would love to take another tour with him! I hope you all go to this tour, everything from the scenery, the conversation, and the food is amazing!
Look no further! This is the best spot for all types of excursion. We did a private a private jeep tour with another family that we vacationed with! (4 adults and 6 teenagers) It was beyond perfect, clean new jeeps and Broncos and went to some spectacular spots, we did it all. Off roading, hiking, waterfall swimming, rock jumping, and a spectacular lunch that was ready when we arrived at the sweetest local spot. But honestly what made this trip the experience to remember was the awesome crew. Energetic, fun, and so knowledgeable of the area and it’s history. Our tour guide crew, Marco Salas, Luis Soto, and Romina and another girl (totally forgot her name 😳) took our day to the next level of FUN! We would absolutely recommend the Jeep tour. But, We also took a Surf lesson the next day with Marco Polo Latinos Ruiz, and he was awesome as well! The 3 of us that took a Lesson surfed the rest of that day, and 2 more times that week. He was very thorough and made sure to explain the safety measures prior to going in the water. Once in the water he worked with each of us like it was a personal lesson. Marco from our Jeep tour guide was at the beach that day taking some awesome photos, this was just the icing on the cake to a already spectacular experience. His photography skills are amazing. Great job Hightides! You have great employees that love their job and it shows, the made our experience amazing! The attention to detail, like umbrellas and snacks at the swim spot are the small things that show you really appreciate your customers. P.S. We ran into Luis Soto during one of our other trips to the Surf beach, he was preparing to teach another group to surf. He was genuinely excited to see us, and hear about our family surfing adventures. 😄
The Jeep ride was fun saw lot of interesting places outside of Cabo, guides were very knowledgeable and friendly.Had a great lunch in Miraflores.
We had an amazing day with our guide Hugo! Hugo was waiting for us at our hotel to pick us up. He was super personable and very knowledgeable about the area. He took us on an amazing hike to a beautiful waterfall and swimming hole. It was so cool! Hugo was a great guide. We had a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. We have another excursion planned and are going to request Hugo! Highly recommend this excursion especially if you get Hugo as a guide.
Ivan & Paco are literally AMAZING Tour Guides. Very accommodating, flexible, knowledgeable & funny. We had a private keep your to the Cascades, local church, lunch and even stopped to see the Tropic of Cancer. Highly recommend for adventurous persons. We loved our guides. We’re friends now 😊
The highlight of our trip this is a don't miss half day outing into the beautiful mountainous area. We traveled about an hour into the country until we got off road. Ephraim our guide was such a pleasant guy. We really enjoyed his company. Like a friend taking you on an outing. Found some good mud and water to play in then went to a private park and ecology center were we saw goats, rabbits, burro, a mule, peacock, geese, etc. Beautiful! Hiked for a bit to beautiful oasis with waterfall. Super nice swimming hole. Stopped for ice cream and lunch on the way back. The trip truly could not have better and Ephraim was an excellent tour guide.
The whole experience was excellent, especially our guide Pepe was great. He was knowledgeable, friendly and fun. He picked us up at our hotel on time and even took a detour because I needed an ATM. He took us off-roading to some really good scenic spots and eventually at a waterfall in the middle of a desert. We went for a swim while he stayed with our stuff. On the way back we stopped by a local restaurant that had great lobster tacos and drinks. This has been a highlight of the trip so far. And driving the jeep off-roading was fun!
Amazing full day jeep tour! The price is a little steep, but completely worth it!! Things we LOVED in no particular order: -Private jeep pick up from our airbnb -We were able to customize our trip -Covid safety protocols were followed -Beautiful scenic rides throughout Cabo, San Jose, and the desert -Pretty easy hike to Fox Canyon, which was beautiful -The Desert Oasis overlook was simply breathtaking -Ate at a local restaurant with amazing tacos. So much that we ordered a second helping -Our guide took good photos with the GoPro & with our personal devices.
What a WOWZA experience! Luis Soto was an excellent day guide for our excursion to Fox Canyon. He picked us up on time in a clean, modern Jeep. We drove the highway to Santiago and several small towns in our Jeep. He explained the scenery and climate and the tropic of cancer, climate and fruit trees. The best surprise was the hidden gem of the waterfall and gorgeous clear Natural pool at Rancho Ecologico Sol de Mayo. The lunch stop at Los Agaves was the best real Mexican food ever! You like Margaritas like us? The pintayah cactus dragonfruit margarita was tantalizing. Best margarita we have ever had! Do not hesitate to book this private tour! Well worth it!!! Thanks Luis!
The views along the trails are amazing, great experience and service 👍👍. We enjoyed the ride through baja roads, many locations for amazing pictures, food after our trip and lots of fun with the guide.
This was an amazing tour! Marco was knowledgable and friendly and very accomodating to our family! Would reccomend this anyone looking to see the natural side of Mexico! The waterfalls are breathtaking!
Fantastic private jeep tour of Fox Canyon with Maury Sanchez. We enjoyed the scenery, great hike, and the refreshing dip at the waterfall, including the fish pedicure. Maury was a great guide letting us set the pace of the hike. On the way back, he stopped at some picturesque spots so we could take some great photos. It was a great memorable day!
We had a Jeep tour to Fox Canyon with Maury as our guide and we had such a great trip. Maury was very knowledgeable and was excellent to talk to.
Bobby, Esteban, and Pepe took my family snorkeling at a national park near Los Cabos. They had all the supplies we needed (we just needed to bring towels), and they knew the best snorkeling and sightseeing sites. They were knowledgeable about the marine life and were able to point out species to us. They also took us into one of the nearby towns to have lunch at one of the restaurants there; the food was excellent. And I appreciated that they let us drive the jeeps they used to transport us from the hotel to the different sites of the tour. It might seem like a small thing, but getting to drive on the public roads in a foreign country helped me get some sense of what it was like to live there. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. If you're visiting Baja California Sur, this tour is a great way to leave the hotel and experience an aspect of Mexico that I suspect is closer to how the locals experience the country.
My family of four plus my brother and sister in law went on their jeep adventure and I have to say it was the best part of our trip!! The jeeps were in great condition, clean, well maintained with great working AC. Maury and Pepe were our tour guides and not only were they knowledgeable and courteous, but towards the end of the tour we felt were hanging out with friends. The tour took us to a property were we took a small hike to a beautiful waterfall where for a good two hours we were the only ones. Maury and Pepe took the time to show my sons and husband the safest way up the rocks to jump off from and they loved it!! On our way back we had lunch at a quaint, family own eatery where we had fresh fish tacos, incredible pitahaya margaritas, and the best hot sauce I’ve ever tasted. Everything about that day was awesome!! We will definitely be booking another excursion with them the next time we go back to Cabo!!
Thank you Maury, El Bob & Alex for a fabulous day for all of us. We had a blast driving, swimming, hiking and enjoyed a fabulous lunch before heading back. The best part was out guides!! We were a group of 7 people with both adults and teenagers. Happy New Year.
Victor was the best! Picked us up at resort as promised and told us so much about Cabo and the surrounding areas. Took us on an amazing adventure! We highly recommend this tour and be sure to ask for Victor!
What a great day seeing the countryside and avoiding the crowds in Cabo - private jeep tours with High Tide Sea Expeditions. We chose a jeep tour but High Tide Sea also offers private beach and snorkeling tours. We had 6 people so we took two jeeps - each with a guide. Maury and Jules met us at our hotel and took time to figure out exactly what we were looking for and customized the trip accordingly. This is definitely NOT the herd the cattle trip booze cruise/group tour/dumb drinking games. Loaded in our jeeps we headed to San Jose del Cabo and visited the main plaza - definitely slower pace than Cabo with lots of local flavor. After that we headed north past the airport to Miraflores - small town off the highway at even slower pace. We placed our food order for later in the day at small family restaurant La Agave. After a beer stop we headed off road to see the countryside. It had rained alot the previous (tropical storm Bud) and EVERYTHING was green and blossoming. Cacti, trees leafed out, flowers everywhere. We also stopped to visit local school and gather some mangoes (after asking permission). Maury adjusted the trip to accommodate some in our group at an easy access river swimming hole (near the zipline) After this stop, headed to Sol de Mayo for a hike to a beautiful waterfall. Absolutely gorgeous - plunging waterfall, swimming hole, sand beach, fresh mangoes and cold beer. Couldn't be better. Stopped at fresh water oasis at Santiago - palm trees and overlook over ancient oasis with years of history. Next was lunch break back at Miraflores. The food was excellent - grilled fish tacos, tacos el pastor but the best was the cactus fruit margaritas and coladas. Yum. On the way back, we stopped at little Guadalupe shrine at the Tropic of Cancer monument. Since it was first days of summer, rather ironic to stop there on the day the sun was directly overhead at noon. Highly recommended - avoid group tours, pay the extra money for custom trip. Well worth it
We booked a tour to the Fox Canyon waterfall. After listening to our wishes for the tour Maury Sanchez took us along the Gulf and then to the waterfall stopping along the way at various spots there and back. A real good day and outing make especially good by our pleasant and personable tour guide Maury. We recommend this trip and this guide.
