Carlos is amazing. He made this entire experience.! He made sure we saw lots of beautiful natural springs and allowed the group time to swim. This was our groups favorite excursion we did.

This was the best excursion we had the whole vacation. Carlos was incredible. He was such an incredible person, so kind. We felt extremely safe the entire time. The Mexican restaurant was SO AMAZING best tacos the entire trip
Amazing experience! Carlos is a great guide and very knowledgeable. He had so many insights and guided us to some beautiful places! The hot springs were exquisite. The hike into the waterfalls was amazing. To finish with the best ice cream at the Tropic of Cancer and lobster tacos in Mira Flores was fantastic! Topped off with Dragon fruit Margaritas!!!!
Carlos excellent, great communication, made for very personalized experience that could accommodate different levels of fitness and prioritize what you wanted out of the experience. Lobster tacos and mango margaritas were worth the hype.
Carlos is very caring, protective, knowledgeable. He led us down -and up- the rocky paths with care and encouragement. He was flexible and understanding. Thanks to him, we had a great time!! He answered our questions, explained everything, talking about history, nature and local customs. Thank you!!!!
Carlos was an amazing guide. He took us to the hot springs and gave us a true look at Baja Mexico. We had a great local lunch and all the locals where all friendly and welcoming. amazing day
My husband and I had a great day exploring the beautiful hot springs area and relaxing in the springs! We loved taking dirt roads to get there and being able to see the county. We had a nice stop at a grocery store for snacks and drinks. For me, this was an added bonus because I LOVE visiting local stores when traveling! On our way back, we ate a delicious meal at a little outdoor family restaurant. Prices were good and it was probably my favorite meal of the trip! Carlos went above and beyond to make or trip special and tailored to our interests by suggesting places to make quick stops to see a nice beach or view, the grocery on the way, dirt road option, and a senic viewpoint. I highly recommend this tour if you're looking for a little nature and want to get away from the busy city for a day!
Carlos was a wonderful tour guide, we had a great time. He took us on a beautiful drive, pointing out details in the landscape and towns. We ended with a lunch that was amazing!
Carlos was awesome. We had a customized experience and got to see many things you wouldnt normally be able to see. He was very attentive and truly cared we had a good time. The hot springs were amazing and the waterfalls were awesome. Highly recommend the tour and Carlos!
Had a great day with Carlos! Very informative and adventurous. Whatever you feel up to he is more than willing to accommodate. We went to the secret hot springs and traveled back over the boulders along the river, such an amazing time. The river is so refreshing and the hot springs amazing. Thank you for a great day!
We had the best time on this private tour with Max who is a great guide. He is kind, accommodating, and knowledgeable about the environment including the surrounding mountains, and the tree/plant species. We even saw a roadrunner! The Santa Maria hot springs are set in a lush area that is serene and unforgettable. It was an easy 10 minute walk in. On the return, there were several stops, including an excellent leisurely outdoor lunch at a family restaurant in Miraflores, set among their large property. We also stopped for ice cream, and the Tropic of Cancer, etc. I highly recommend Good Trips Baja!
This was such an incredible experience. Carlos was an amazing guide who truly went above and beyond to make the trip memorable. Carols was knowledgeable, encouraging, and clearly passionate about the area. The landscape was absolutely stunning, with views that made every step worth it. If you choose the more difficult hike option, just be prepared for a good amount of bouldering and scrambling. It’s definitely adventurous and physically demanding, but also a lot of fun if you’re up for the challenge. Overall, this was an unforgettable experience, and I can’t recommend it enough.
We had an amazing day! Carlos our guide was great, he knew so much about the area, terrain, flora & fauna. The hikes were great and he was very observant of our abilities and adjusted as needed. The hot springs were beautiful and so relaxing. Max was very helpful when we called with questions. We hiked in tennis shoes (which were fine) and brought flip flops to hang out in the water but they weren’t needed as most of the pools were very nice, clean, clear and soft sandy bottoms. I will be booking another excursion with Carlos and Max on our next trip.
Amazing time and Carlos was the best to ever do it. I want Carlos everytime I come back. It was supposed to be 7 hours ending up being almost 12. I love it
So nice to get away from touristy area of Cabo and into wilderness! Max was a great guide with lots of knowledge. We had a wonderful time hiking and eating!
What a fabulous hike in a beautiful secluded natural area. Carlos is the best, most knowledgeable guide! We could not have done the hike without him. After a long day of exploring hot springs, waterfalls, and learning about the native plants and animals, we finished our amazing day with the absolute best guacamole and lobster tacos.
Max the tour guide was perfect. He met each moment with the perfect amount of care and service. The hike was really dope. Definitely take the challenging path it’s really worth it.
Max took us on an unforgettable private adventure to the Santa Rita Hot Springs, easily one of the most unique experiences we’ve had in Baja. We stopped in Santiago to see the oasis of green palms before heading deep into the Sierra de la Laguna, far off the typical Cabo tourist track. He led us on a beautiful hike up the river, scaling granite rocks to a deserted swimming hole with a waterfall. The natural pools were absolutely magical, an unexpected paradise tucked into the middle of the arid Baja landscape. Max tailored the whole day to our family, knowing we spend a lot of time outdoors back home, and it made the experience feel personal and perfectly paced. We wrapped up with incredible lobster tacos, which honestly should be their own tour. If you’re an adventurous traveler looking for something raw, remote, and real, Max is your guy.

This is our second time doing this experience and it was so worth it . Carlos took us this time and he was fabulous!! I will say this trek is not for the weak!! The roads are dirt and very bumpy and not everyones's cup of tea but when you get to hot springs it is worth it!! It is so beautiful !! and then we went to the waterfall which was about 20 more minutes of lots of bumps and driving through some water but again worth every minute!! It is a whole new way to see Cabo !! Last stop is a wonderful lunch at a local place that serves the best Lobster taco's and yummy margarita's !! It is about an 8hr. day from start to finish . FYI Carlos jumps higher than Max from waterfall!! LOL!!
Great way to see and enjoy some nature in the Cabo area. It’s about a 90 min drive and flexible for all level of hikers.
Carlos was an amazing guide. So fun and so passionate. My wife Anne and I like to do things that are physically challenging, unique, culturally stimulating and fun versus sitting at the beach. While we are not on vacation, wlike to mtn bike, ski, hike, and white water raft and were looking for something—this full day excursion checked all the boxes for us. Carlos, our guide, really made the trip with an extensive knowledge of the area and a passion for getting people into nature. I’d do it again and will look for other Carlos and Max trips in the future. ¡ Gracias por todo!
This is a must do if you enjoy getting off the beaten path and away from the tourist area. Carlos was our private guide and did a great job of telling and showing us interesting things on the way to the Hot Spring. There were hardly any people at the site that day which was very nice. The Hot Spring was about 100-102 degrees and the river beside it was plesantly cold. Swimming to the waterfall up Spring was delightful. It was such a good experience that we are going back next week and taking our friends. We are 79 years old and were able to do the hike to the Spring. Wear sturdy shoes for hiking and maybe another pair of flip flops for walking around the Spring area. There is a small room for changing and a clean outhouse. Carlos is very good with helping with balancing while crossing rocks.
Max was amazing and very knowledgeable! Highly recommend him for a guide! We were given options once getting to hiking spot and got to pick what we wanted to do most, we got to go to hot springs and go see the waterfall where I lost my shades but Max grabbed his snorkeling gear and quickly found them! After the tour we got the best Mexican food we've ever had, after that we tried a few different unique kinds of ice cream that were delicious. If your in the area I recommend doing this hike right away when you get there and get his expertise in the area and ideas of all the hot spots
The tour guide was the owner and he was great. He showed up on time and explained the towns and mountains along the way. The ride was about 1.5 hours. He gave us the option of doing the hot springs or hiking to the waterfall and we chose the waterfall because it was hot outside already. He came with cold water and protein granola bars. The waterfall was beautiful and we got to swim in it. Then we hiked some more to the top of the waterfall and a natural slide that my son went down. The hike was moderately strenuous but beautiful. He explained some plants and animals. I would recommend the local restaurant after the hike. It had great food and reasonable prices. We were back by 2:30pm. I’m so glad we did the hike and would do the hot springs in the winter time.
Awesome hike and get away to see more of the country. The natural springs were great and the restaurant Carlos took us too was outstanding. Lobster tacos and Mango margaritas! Carlos was terrific!!👍👍👍would HIGHLY recommend this excursion as a break from the city.
This excursion was absolutely amazing from start to finish! Carlos was knowledgeable, friendly, and made this an exceptional experience. He went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. Everything was well organized, and we got to see and do so much more than expected. The scenery was breathtaking, the hot springs were unforgettable, and the local culture was shared in such a genuine way. The lobster taco lunch was excellent. I would highly recommend this excursion to anyone visiting Mexico!
The hike to the springs with Carlos as our guide was an amazing adventure. Carlos was knowledgeable about the terrain, accurately assessed our fitness level, and knew we could handle a bit of a challenging hike that would take us to some incredible waterfalls in the oasis. Carlos tended to our every need. As we moved from one body of water to the next, we relaxed in the water while he carried all of our stuff from one site to another and captured amazing pictures of us so we could enjoy the memories. His recommendation for a local eatery was fantastic and he stopped at a market on the way back so we could get supplies for the evening. Carlos is patient, personable and passionate about the beauty of nature. If you like hiking and swimming in natural springs, Carlos is your person. He will give you a personalized and memorable experience. Truly grateful.
This was by far my favorite excursion we booked the tour guide was very knowledgeable and patient with me during the hike. End up doing the waterfall range instead due to his recommendation as the spring would have been too hot. I’m very happy with that recommendation and he took us to the extra pools around the waterfall that were private. I could go on but overall if you enjoy hiking and seeing beautiful sights you will love this.
A Perfect Day in Cabo – Highly Recommend! We traveled as a group of 12 across 3 families, including (2) kids ages 5–7, (4) teens ages 12–15, and 6 adults. We were looking for a fun and memorable excursion during our cruise stop in Cabo—and this tour exceeded every expectation! Pre-Excursion: 10/10 The booking process was seamless. I accidentally booked the wrong date, but Viator made it incredibly easy to change it. We booked the tour six months in advance, and as the date approached, communication with the tour operator, Max, was outstanding. He provided clear details on where to meet, what to expect, and answered all my follow-up questions promptly—usually within a day. Excursion Day: 10/10 (Honestly, more like 20/10) Max kept in contact via WhatsApp, making it easy to find him once we got off the tender. He welcomed us and led us to a clean, air-conditioned van stocked with water, soda, and beer. We also met Carlos, who co-led the tour and was just as fantastic. Since the weather was unexpectedly hot and humid (86°F+), Max and Carlos offered us three options: 1. The original hot springs, 2. A 45-minute hike to scenic pools, or 3. A shorter 20-minute hike to a pool with a waterfall. We chose the waterfall—and we’re so glad we did. Max and Carlos went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable time. They guided us over rocks, helped the brave ones jump into the water, climbed with our GoPro to get amazing footage, and even helped recover a phone someone dropped in the pool! After our waterfall adventure, we stopped at a phenomenal local restaurant before returning to the ship. The food was outstanding—our group ordered nachos, quesadillas, meat tacos, and lobster tacos. Every dish was packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. The fresh mango margaritas were next level! Final Thoughts: Max and Carlos were exceptional guides who read our group perfectly. They were kind, fun, and clearly passionate about giving guests a memorable experience. Thanks to them, we made lifelong memories. If you’re in Cabo for the day, don’t hesitate—book this tour! Our group of 12 gives it our highest recommendation.
If your tour guide isn’t Carlos, then you’re doing it all wrong! Not only does this man have the purest soul and loves what he does. He will make sure you feel safe, comfortable and get your monies worth. It was truly an experience I wouldn’t have changed one thing about. (Even though it’s not expected don’t forget to tip!! It is well deserved)
You have many levels of how to enjoy the hot springs. From taking it easy at the lower springs that was an easy walk from the car or hiking to the more secluded one. Our guide also gave us privacy as well and if we needed help they were in shouting distance.
Amazing experience! Max and Carlos are the best. Highly recommend. Been going to Cabo for years now and this was very different and very cool. If you want something different and fun def sign up!
We’ve been coming to Cabo for over 20 years and just came across this trip and thought it was amazing. Unique and special. The tour guides were super helpful and friendly.
This was an incredible excursion that my partner and I did with Carlos. Be prepared for a bumpy and windy drive to Rancho Santa Rita. Bring lots of snacks and electrolytes in advance as the desert is very hot and you get really sweaty. The views during the hike were amazing, Carlos took us on the more advance trail, it was more like rock climbing than a hike but amazing views. Dress in something that you can jump in the water with so that you don't have to change until after the hike and before the restaurant. Best margaritas at the restaurant in Miraflores. We would book again with Good Baha Trips.
The hike was a tiny bit challenging for my rock climbing abilities, lol but we made it. I wouldn't do it in the hot months though, it was prefect for the winter and spring months. Our guide was lots of fun and the authentic Mexican restaurant was a treat (especially the delicious marguerites. Some unique ice cream flavors on the way home also, it was an authentic experience and we won't likely forget it!
Absolutely wonderful experience. Carlos was amazing and we 100% recommend asking for him. He took us on the longest version of the route, stopping at various waterfalls and springs for a swim. We were greeted with beautiful views at each point, and Carlos made sure to take lots of videos of us when we went swimming so we now have those videos as wonderful memories to look back on. He was also very funny and knowledgeable about the local area, and he was very happy to answer all our questions. Even though we did the longest version of the excursion, it was super doable fitness wise (we were 3 college seniors with average fitness levels) so we would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a couple of hours of walking across rocks. It's pretty much all flat and since we were getting into the water at regular stops, it wasn't too hot even with the sun at full strength. This was my favourite thing we did in our whole week in Cabo, and it's fully worth the money!! Thanks so much to Carlos for making it such a memorable and enjoyable experience!!
Natural hot springs was an awesome, unique experience while visiting Cabo. Carlos was a great guide, very knowledgeable. He pointed out many things which we would have missed. Tour was customized to our group's ability. The hike was challenging. Springs were refreshing. We will book again! Thanks!
Carlos was an amazing guide, great energy and passion for the areas we hiked. Very friendly and professional. There is no way we would have found such a great adventure on our own. This was the best vacation excursion experience I have ever had. He even took some photos of us together and they are the pest pictures of us from the whole trip. 100% recommended!
Great hike with a great guide who customized the hike for our fitness level— we went longer and further up trail and had our own private oasis!
There is so much more to Cabo than the beaches. The Sierra Laguna conceals a wealth of incredible natural features. Max is a wonderful guide. He knows the interesting locations, the local personalities, the geology, the flora and fauna, the history, and of course the best Hot Springs. He is very flexible and adapts the trip to the desires and abilities of the patrons. His vehicles are new, clean, and comfortable, and we particularly appreciated that he picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel in San Jose del Cabo.
Carlos was an outstanding guide! We enjoyed the hike and the hot springs. We learned a lot about the terrain. Carlos was very friendly and knowledgeable. We highly recommend this experience.
Carlos (and Max) were great hosts and guides. Max set it all up and Carlos was our guide for the day. He took us to areas we'd never have seen otherwise on the way to the hike. The hike was amazing, and Carlos did a great job assessing our skill level and tailoring the hike so that it was fun and adventurous but not overwhelming. Carlos was knowledgeable about the area taking us through more back roads and small villages on the way back, and stopped us at a local taco stand which was fantstsic. All in all a great trip thanks to Carlos!
What a fantastic experience!! Our guide Carlos picked us up at our hotel. The tour was private and completely at our pace which was so nice. The car was a newer, comfortable, compact SUV. We stopped at a store on the way to get drinks and snacks that were kept on ice in a cooler. Carlos was very knowledgeable and used the drive time to tell us about the tour and what to expect. Once we got to the mountains we stopped at a lookout of a very large natural oasis to take some photos then continued on to the hot spring area that is adjacent to a ranch. It was a short hike through a camping area that had toilets and changing rooms, down to the river and hot spring. We climbed around on the rocks, swam in the river to a small waterfall. The water was cool and clear. The hot spring pools were next to the river. The pools were not too deep and it was easy to find a comfy spot to sit and recline in the very warm, mineral rich water. After swimming and soaking there were plenty of places to relax and dry off. After changing into dry clothes, we drove Baja-style through back roads to the town of Miraflores to Los Agaves for a late lunch. The food and drinks were fresh and delicious. We enjoyed mango margaritas, guacamole and chips, lobster tacos and flan. On the drive back to our hotel, our guide stopped to show us his favorite beach in San Lucas, which we then visited the next day.
Carlos’ passion and appreciation for the area were infectious. He made it clear that the plan was ultimately up to us and what we were comfortable with, and he shared a lot of knowledge about the land and plants. The hot springs were relaxing, and we paired that with the cold water of the river. The hike wasn’t long, but it was pretty rocky. There were a few places where it was helpful to use our hands. After our hike, we had a late lunch at a restaurant owned by Carlos’ friend. It was a charming place in Miraflores. The mango drinks and homemade flour tortillas were particularly delicious. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.
I was looking for something different to do in Baja California. I was also looking for something that was outside of the tourist area they gave more of a field of what Baja was like. Carlos was an excellent guide sharing his many years of experience of the area. He tailored the trip to what we wanted to do and felt up to. This isn't a fufu trip, but an excursion into nature of the region. You get to see it's beauty and experience the simple pleasures of the area. The hot springs had a bathroom and changing area that was basic, but clean. The water was clear to the bottom in both the hot springs and the cold stream pool. At times until like we would only ones there. Before taking a dip, Carlos took us on a hike of the mountain. It was rugged and not for those who aren't in good shape. We enjoyed it and especially the view at the top. You can bring water shoes, but I never did wear mine. Afterwards we took dirt road back to middle florist, and had lunch at great taco restaurant. We have the fish and chicken tacos with a bowl of guacamole. The owner was kind and attentive to our needs. It was a great ending to a wonderful day.
First off, request Carlos as your tour guide. He is extremely knowledgeable about the entire area, from the marina to San Jose and the mountains in between. He lives there, kayaks there, hikes there, climbs there, surfs there, and knows all the off the beaten tracks there. He is passionate about all the nature that makes Cabo, Cabo. With that said, he promptly picked us up at 830a. and catered our hot springs towards our desires. If you want to take the adventurous side roads to get there (which I recommend), he'll gladly do that. If you would rather take highway, he's cool with that, too. He is safety conscientious with you in mind. He'll assist you in any way, he brings water and snacks, and even sets an umbrella up over you so you don't get too much sun. The hot springs were amazingly warm and soothing. There was a river you could cool off in and traverse up to waterfalls. After as long as you wanted experiencing the area, we went to the best outdoor, local taco restaurant. Yes, get the margarita and/or pina colada with local dragon fruit in it. The flour tortillas are hand-made locally, and all the meats/seafood are locally sourced. Service there was excellent as well. Just a great day hanging out with a cool guy living the Cabo dream. A memory for a lifetime.
Our group of 4 had such an incredible time with Max today! From the time we got settled in the car to head to Santiago until we were dropped off 8 hours later, Max kept us entertained and active. We learned about the history of the area, geology of the hot springs, and he even thrilled us with a high dive from 40 feet up. We visited and enjoyed hot springs, waterfalls and cool lakes, all the while feeling safe and cared for. To top it off, Max took us to Agave restaurant, a family owned restaurant nearby that served the most delicious lobster tacos, the lobster had been caught that morning. And Tequila the friendly cat was a sweet bonus. Such a great day! Thanks Max!
Carlos was fantastic! We had our best day in Cabos thanks to Carlos. He knows great local beautiful spots to check out including hot springs, waterfalls, and tacos!
This trip was amazing! Carlos our tour guide went above and beyond to do everything to make sure we had the best trip ever! We loved it
