Los Cabos Sunset Turtle Release Conservation Experience

My favorite part was learning about their conservation efforts and what the company must go through to help these turtles. It was a wonderful experience to release the new babies into the world and to see them try to reach the water. Thank you to Patrick and his team!

I was torn for a long time between this tour that offered transportation and the tour offered by Cabo Trek (which had great reviews for protecting nature). It turns out they were the same tour! I booked the private tour in case the walk to the beach was long so we wouldn’t get left behind, but honestly, that didn’t seem to be a problem because the walk wasn’t very far and the staff were all so nice I don’t think they would have left us behind. That being said the extra attention and smaller group size was a nice perk. Releasing the turtles was definitely the highlight of the trip. Those tiny cuties did not disappoint. This was so worth it. The transportation takes a long time picking up all the guests before heading to the ranch (about 1:45).

This was amazing!!! The staff was very knowledge and kind. You get to connect and help the baby turtles making a very special moment.This is definitely a must do if come to Los Cabos.

A magical experience great for entire family. The guides even made it easy for grandma to reach the release point.

The baby sea turtle release program was amazing! The marine biologists running the program were very informative while being entertaining. Releasing the turtles themselves was so incredibly special, and a true bucket list opportunity. They do great work here - thank you Carisuva!!

This was so much fun. My kids loved it and want to do it again next time we’re in Cabo. The baby turtles are so cute!!!! It was fun cheering them up for into the water. The staff were all great. One thing to note is they had to bump us to the next day because no turtles were born that day. Thankfully we had one day left in our trip and got it done that day. So book for early in your stay.

We cannot write an experience as it was cancelled. We are rebooked for the 28th so hopefully we can go then otherwise we will require a credit as we then leave for home.

The volunteers at this turtle release were absolutely fantastic. The marine biologist that addresses our group was so knowledgeable and interesting. The whole experience of participating in the baby turtle release was one of the highlights of our vacation.

If you’re interested in ecotourism this is an excellent way to understand sea turtles. Very interesting presentation by a marine biologist and other staff at Rancho Carisuva. Humorous and fun experience seeing the turtles exit their nest, and then each of us releasing some into the ocean at sunset. Marvellous staff doing great work protecting the circle of life!

This was an amazing excursion. Great driver to get us there. Extremely knowledgeable staff at the site. And the experience; which has been on my bucket list for years was out of this world. My turtle was a trooper and marched into the ocean like it knew exactly what it was doing.

Watching a sea turtle hatch right before our eyes was truly a once in a lifetime experience. I came in not knowing quite what to expect, and the moment was even more moving than I could have imagined. Seeing these tiny turtles begin their journey was humbling and unforgettable. Experiences like this stay with you and can change you, and the way you see the world. It’s easily one of the top ten experiences of my life. This was a great experience! A seamless pickup and drop off at our resort. The class at the beginning was informative and helped frame the experience. Releasing the turtles and watching them move to the sea was a phenomenal experience. One of the best excursions we have done!

Rancho Carisuva Turtle Restoration program is worthy if our support as these turtles are up against incredible odds and need our help. The team resonsible is passionate for the cause and are committed to patrol their portion of the beach to oversee 500 + nests over the course of many months, When a nest is discovered, the team harvess the eggs and protects them until hatching. At that point they are gathered and carefully escorted to the waters edge at sundown. We learned a lot about the sea turtles, and of the importance of protecting them and their environment.

Incredible, unique experience. Our guides Patricio, Abel, and Xóchitl were super knowledgeable and made the experience both educational and fun. Their passion for the work they are doing was inspiring.

This was such an awesome experience! Keep in mind that the weather may cause the event to cancel or that the babies has not hatched. I would plan early in your trip to allow these changes.

Booked a turtle release. Received a text day before that there were no turtles hatching and they would cancel. This was fine since I was promised a full refund. Never received my money back after 3 requests and promises of a refund.

This was incredible. Do it! Don’t have second thoughts. Worth every penny! This group’s only funding is through eco tourism and they do great work!

This experience was truly magical! Thank you to our wonderful guide Patricio who taught us so much and with so much joy and passion for his work as a marine biologist. He is a turtle hero! This was one of the best excursions we’ve been on! The ease of booking, the seamless pick up and transfer, the Information session, and the turtle release all exceeded our expectations. From the youngest in our group (4 years old) to the oldest, we all found it engaging and memorable….although our 4 year old still misses the turtles she released 😂

A unique cultural experience seeing how they help turtles hatch and make it safely to the ocean. They explain the types of turtles that are hatching at this particular time and the process of the hatchling making it to the ocean.

Truly a magical experience. Educational. Joyful. Fun. Patrescio. Adrianna, and the turtle conservatory team were knowledgeable and delightfully friendly. A delightfully informative tutorial was followed by releasing the hatchlings on a pristine beach under a gorgeous sunset. What a thrill! This felt like a very rich experience that my daughter and I shared together. The team at Rancho Carisuva are doing heroes work to try to increase the possibility that as many baby turtles as possible can survive the dangerous journey from their nest to the ocean. The tour provided transportation to and from my hotel, which made the whole thing very simple the only thing I wished I had brought was some bug spray for the discussion at the ranch before we went to the beach.

It was an educational and fun experience that’s great for everyone. We learned about sea turtles and then we each got to release many of them and see them out to the ocean. Worth the trip.

This excursion was the highlight of my whole 8 day cruise. Abel was our private tour guide. While we did do part of the day with the bigger group when it came to releasing the baby turtles my husband and I had a bucket of the cutest black turtles ever and we got to release all of them and name ALL of them! Abel took fantastic photos of us and the sunset... WOW! It couldn't have been more perfect. To say we highly recommend this excursion is an understatement. If you love sea turtles, book this!! I will definitely be going back.

Everyone comes for the Arch and all the Instagram over rated scenic backdrops but I got to release a bucket of baby turtles into the ocean and learn about their history. It was the most magical event I’ve gotten to do on vacation! Don’t miss Rancho Carisuva! They pick u up and drop you off. It’s a seamless experience and AMAZING!!!!!

They never refunded my money after cancelling our trip. Cancellation not their fault, the turtles didn’t hatch, but when I asked for them to refund since the couldn’t do it, they said they would, however never did.

This was one the one of the most amazing tours I have been on. The drive there was fairly long but very well worth it. You get informational session and turtles before the release which is good to know. Then you go and see where they have the nests. Then the release. It’s something that I truly believe everyone should experience. The fact that the money you spend to do this experience goes back to helping save the turtles is also what makes it a top notch experience. The passion the men have for these turtle and trying to make sure they are safe and can thrive is amazing, and very touching. I would do this again.

It starts with a half hour “masterclass” on sea turtles. It was interesting to learn about them. Then we walked down toward the beach and checked out all the nests they had set up. These guys do so much for turtle conservation - their work is admirable and impressive. After checking that out we walked down to the beach. Sometimes you have to be patient and fight off the seagulls, which they endearingly refer to as “sea eagles.” We watched the sunset and let the turtles go shortly after. It was so fun! There were so many babies and it was such a good time to watch them crawl to the ocean and cheer them all on. Abel was our guide and he was so kind and knowledgeable. Pato was also very kind and professional. Highly recommend!
