Learn To Scuba Dive In Cabo San Lucas With Padi

The beginner scuba diving tour was my favorite activity of our trip. I had tried scuba diving once before in Cozumel, Mexico, but I noticed a real difference in how thoroughly safety was covered here. The team patiently explained the rules in a classroom session, then helped us practice what we had learned in a pool before we went into the open water. During the dive, two guides stayed with us, watching over us and offering helpful advice. We also got some great underwater photos. The camera resolution could be better, but I appreciated the effort and attention from our photographer and guide. It was a wonderful experience, and I would love to dive with this company again.

Arturo did a great job explaining the process and the skills we needed to show before we could safely scuba. The waters of Cabo are so clear and there were so many fish! This was a great excursion.

They start you out with going over basics for how to work your breathing. Stay calm! Then afterwards walk outside over to a tank that is basically a truck trailer 40x8ft box. There you learn to breathe with the wetsuit and tanks by holding onto the railing then transferring to lowering yourself to about 2 ft under. Once you get the hang of it you walk down to the pier and aboard the boat. We were so luck that the wife and I were the only ones! So, it was like a private trip. Relax and people and boat watch out to the arch. After jumping in you hold onto a line whereby you start to lower youself slowly to acclimate your ears. I took 2x longer because my ears would not pop! So that was uncomfortable, but I sucked it up, and then made it to the bottom. Only 15ft. Then you start moving along the bottom and just saw many puffer fish. Then when you go around the rock the water drops off and you go down to about 25 to 30ft and many fish! So glad that happened. The guides were fantastic and would do it again. First time for me and my wife had been a couple of time prior. Great experience.

This company is legit! We booked them thru our hotel agent and was very glad we did. 3 for 2 adventures including hotel transfer, not only you can't beat the price but their service is amazing! We did sea adventure, ziplining with UTV and discover scuba dive. Dive masters Patricia & Brandon from scuba diving were amazing! They took extra care of us and since it was our 10 yo first ever dive, they make sure we can take it slow and have him accustomed before we go out to the ocean. They guided us in the ocean and often make sure my boy is ok and comfortable. Although this time of the year (April 1st) the visibility wasn't the best and quite a bit of current, my boy still really enjoyed! After this first dive, my son is looking forward to his future scuba diving adventures!!

This was our four year excursion with this provider and all have been terrible experiences. We actually canceled this excursion after talking to other tour operators. The water was very cold, limited visibility and questionable staffing. I did not feel comfortable, given our other three experiences with this company that my family would be safe. I am still waiting for my refund. Don’t use this company. There are plenty at the marina to choose from.

Good education before the dive, good support during the dive. Friendly, fun, professional, and knowledgeable. Will come back to finish certification.

I ‘m a certified diver and I wanted to take my husband (who has no diving experience) on his first dive for our honeymoon! We decided to try out the Discover Scuba excursion because we could go together despite our different levels of diving experience. We started the excursion with Arturo, who gave an excellent lesson on dive equipment and the most important rules and safety precautions for divers. Then, my husband got to do a test dive in the pool with Brandon to get comfortable underwater and with the equipment. Once he was ready, they took us out for a single tank dive and we ended up at 40’ for almost 40 minutes! My husband was very vocal about his concerns and Brandon and Arturo did an excellent job reassuring him, and the dive was a complete success! After the dive, they made sure to take us by the Arch for a quick photo op. Now that he knows he likes diving, he is hoping to get his certification! Many thanks to Brandon for being an excellent guide, Arturo for the instructions and action shots, and the entire Cabo adventures team for a seamless excursion!

Everyone was amazing! I was very nervous about trying this for the first time and they were very patient with me. We had multiple people in the water with us to make sure we were comfortable and safe. I will definitely book with them again. It was worth every penny!

I honestly never thought I’d be able to complete the PADI program. I had a stranger try and drown me when I was very young and never got over that. Master diver Armando was very perceptive and noted my anxiety. They were very patient with me while I worked through it and they gave me the confidence to proceed into the open waters. It was life changing to say the least! I can’t wait for more adventures!

The team at Cabo Adventures was excellent. This was my 16 year old daughter’s first time scuba diving and she absolutely loved it. The team did a great job instructing everyone on basic scuba diving and most importantly safety protocols. There were only about 3 people per instructor so they were right there the whole time we were under water. The marine life was incredible and the instructors pointed out many fish and other marine life that were hiding and we otherwise would not have gotten to see. Guides were fun and helpful. My daughter loved it so much she tried to go again the next day but they were booked up. She will definitely be getting her dive certification now!

booked a beginner scuba experience with my daughter who had never done any diving before ( i had done it a few times before but neither of us were PADI certified, which didnt matter) After a pretty short training session, and a quick test in a small pool to see how we felt in full gear, we were off on a boat for a short ride to the diving area. From there we jumped in and were diving in 30-40 feet of water , where we saw schools of fish, puffer fish, and coral reefs. My daughter handled it like a champ! of all the excursions we did, this was the one we opted to pay for the photos (there is a photographer on the dive with you). obviously you are not getting your own photos with a cell phone even with a protective case, and they will not let you bring a camera anyway unless you are padi certified. As I knew this was prob the only time my daughter would scuba, I wanted a record and the prices for packages were relatively reasonable (75-95USD) Special shout out to Arturro who was a great trainer, and our photographer on our dive. ** Note - if you are at all claustraphobic, or have any type of breathing issues (like have trouble breathing through your mouth for extended periods) this is prob not for you. Even though i have been many times, its been a few years and I felt a little constrained breathing with the scuba gear)

Great way to experience scuba for the first time. I have done a number of so-called "resort dives" around the world and this was as good as it gets. Efficient training in the basics, great dive boat and equipment, and most importantly great dive masters. Arturo led the group and became our underwater photographer. All the dive masters were outstanding. My 16 year old son was diving for the first and loved it. Safe, secure and very well taken care of. It's a must trip if you want to experience diving.

The Discover Scuba Course that Cabo Adventures provided was very well-run, interesting, and, above all, quite safe. The dive site is around Pelican Rock, a popular snorkeling and glass-bottom boat site. But since you are diving 40’ below, you aren’t bothered by all the chaos at the surface. There isn’t much coral growth, mainly just gorgonians and some scattered heads of Pocillopora. There is a tremendous amount of fish life though, with some exotics like Long-Nose Butterflyfish and Clarion Angelfish that you are unlikely to see anywhere else in Cabo, other than Land’s End. There was an enormous Panamic Green Moray Eel at the base of the rock. There were 3 Divemasters for only 3 Beginner Divers so you felt very well supervised. Overall, a very interesting Discover Scuba experience.

Arturo, Patrice and all of the team took great care of us and was great to get back into diving. I can't recommend Cabo adventures highly enough. The information session was fun, getting used to the gear in the pool gives you great confidence and there was just a fun atmosphere on the boat. Highlight of my trip, thanks again.

Arturo and Patricia are outstanding dive masters. They took two lumps of un-molded clay and after about 15 minutes of classroom instructions and 5 minutes of practice in the pool, turned us into beginner divers. We had a great time and can’t wait to dive again. So much sea life! Fun and friendly staff. Highly recommend!!

I am a certified diver but I took my 15 year old niece, who has never been SCUBA diving before on the beginner, discovery dive. The staff was patient and clear about teaching the basics of SCUBA and safety procedures to the group, most of which had not done this before either. We started out in a small pool and moved to an easy, shallow dive near the arch. We felt very safe at all times and there seemed to be 1 staff diver for every 2 beginners. We had a great time and now my niece wants to get certified so we can have more SCUBA adventures. The feedback from the rest of our group was equally positive. Thank you Cabo Adventures.

The entire crew is incredible. Lydia, our instructor, was so patient and very informative. She really cares about your safety and your enjoyment—the first dives we’re very helpful and the last five was BEAUTIFUL.

Visited Cabo solo July '23 to get my PADI Open Water Scuba Diving Certification. I'd done dives and other activities with Cabo Adventures before. Lyli was my instructor and she was A-Mazing!!! Very kind, patient and knowledgeable. I HIGHLY recommend using their services for ALL of their excursions--there the most experienced and reliable outfit in town. Their entire dive program is first rate and Lyli is just a great instructor 🙌🏼

This was THE most amazing experience! Cabo Adventures is the best business in town (you'd like I had shares in the company, but alas, no, I dont, completely unbiased review here). I will preface this review with the fact that one of my friends was unable to dive due to diabetes and we still would rate them 10 of 10. I'll break it down.... Facility: beautiful, modern, clean, and has AC <- not many places do in cabo, which is important in 100-degree weather. Training: ah-mazing! They went through everything step by step on hand signals and process prior to test. The test is done is shallow pool with 3 trainers. So safe. Boat: gorgeous! My friend gets seasickness just looking at boats and did amazing. New, big, and has EVERYTHING, including showers!!+ Excursion: so EPIC! And I mean gorgeous, safe and FUN! I was nervous about it, and they have someone with you every step of the way. I could feel safer and more excited knowing the Lydia was there as well as 4 others that I can't remember names - but you were great nonetheless! Photography: Arturo was our "paparazzi " and did such a great job with our photos and video underwater....after seeing th footage, I basically said "take my money" This company is hands down THE BEST company. Great diving experience for beginners! The instructors are fantastic - knowledgable, patient, and focus on quickly teaching you the key skills to ensure you can have an enjoyable first scuba diving experience. Most importantly, they value protecting the reef, stress the importance of leaving the marine life untouched, and ensure the groups of inexperienced divers are not accidentally banging into the reef. Before going on the boat, you do a quick run-through of diving essentials, and practice a couple key skills underwater in a small pool onshore so you can get comfortable with the gear and ensure a safe experience. During your dive, there is a team of experienced guides watching your every move. Many people are understandably nervous their first time diving, but as a fairly experienced diver accompanying my wife who is a beginner, this felt like a very well-run operation.

We had previously done the beginner dive and it was amazing. We returned to get certified. First off, Armando could not have been better. He rearranged his schedule for us several times when we came up with unforeseen issues. Unreal! Made us feel like we were the most important people there. Then Brandon followed with instruction. He was absolutely fantastic. Very patient and excellent instructor. Our dives were with Jorge and Brandon and both did amazing jobs with the instruction and the dive in general. My wife continued on to get certified but I needed to stop about halfway through. They were amazing with this as well. Gave me a voucher to return to finish my training. All in all, wonderful experience. I trusted these guys with (literally) our lives. My wife and I couldn't be happier. We will dive with Cabo Adventures any opportunity we can.

Great experience! Arturo was very through and made us feel confident in the water. He gave us a safety and education talk prior to having us complete 2 skills in the pool. The diving spot was 5 minutes from the dock. Brandon and Rogelio were the other 2 guides, we had a fairly small group of 5. Arturo took photos while down and the other guys showed us around and kept an eye on everyone. Would love to do again!

My son and I decided to go scubadiving. Unfortunately I was not able to go because of my health. They gave a short class to make sure you are safe and enjoy your experience. They allowed me to stay on the boat. I still had a great time just observing. The staff was very professional and super friendly and fun. I would definitely book more activities when I return. We loved it!😁

The group of instructors we had blew me away from start to finish. The divers were me (certified diver already), my wife (no diving experience), my daughter (12 years old, no diving experience) and my son (11 years old, pool diving experience). We paid for transportation from our hotel (Pueblo Bonito Sunset) and the driver showed up on time and got us to the facility at the marina with no problems. One thing to note, is that the transportation back leaves on the hour, so if you get back from your Dive at 5:05 pm, you will be waiting until 6 pm. Also - 6 PM is the last transport back to hotels. To start, we were put into an adjacent room at the Cabo Adventures facility, with the other members of our dive group, where we read through all of the safety\ liability paperwork. I realize that most of the time signing liability paperwork (especially at a tourist destination) is silly, but they genuinely wanted you to read all of the paperwork and went as far as to not provide you a pen until you read through everything. Being a fairly seasoned diver and coming to Cabo for a while, safety for my 2 kids was pretty high on my list and this really started to eleviate my fears. After the paperwork signing

Best scuba experience I’ve had on vacation, my husband couldn’t find his certification so we had to do a beginners adventure but it’s been my favorite thus far! The staff was friendly and so helpful, and the sea life was abundant! We saw sea lions, all kinds of fish, an eel, the San andres fault line, sand waterfalls, and just such a well organized company making the experience so enjoyable! Thank you all so much!! We can’t wait to go again!!!

They cancelled on me twice due to weather. My date finally came on 9/22/22 I showed up to the lobby at 1:45 waiting for my ride, my scuba appointment was for 2pm I called and asked where they are. They said they came at 12 and marked me as a no-show. I did not recall being told to show up at 12 the departure time ON MY BOOKING is 2pm. When I was rescheduled twice, they took forever to send confirmation emails. When they arrived THEY DID NOT CALL. They just left AND KEPT MY MONEY. If you are reading this Cabo San Lucas Adventures, I want my money back. I tried to no avail speaking with Viator customer service and they would not grant me a refund. I have disputed the charge with my credit card company. YOUR COMMUNICATION SUCKS.

I was impressed with the focus on safety and the patience of everyone. There were only three of us going out (two were no-shows) but we were entirely outnumbered and each had their own guide. We learned basic skills and hand signals. I was petrified but this has always been a bucket-list item and this 64 year old conquered her fears. Everyone helped me with that. Unfortunately, my first reservation had to be cancelled because the port was closed due to stormy weather and the water was still a little murky a few days later. I saw an eel, puffers and MANY fish. They take pictures and a video.

I had never been scuba diving, but my husband is pretty experienced. The training was good and each person had an experienced diver to help guide them underwater. I never felt unsafe and we had a wonderful time!
