This was my first trip to San Jose del Cabo AND the first walking tour ever. The experience was wonderful. Kristian was a wonderful, delightful guide and I would highly recommend first timers take the tour. I now have a better appreciation for the peoples heritage and conservation of the resources. As a plant lover, I was excited to see so many trees and cactus growing in the restaurants but now I know why. The fact that the money charged for the tour was for a good cause was the icing on the cake. Thank you for making the trip possible.
The tour was very interesting and helpful for putting timelines of history together in order to gain a better understanding of the now in San Jose Del Cabo. Loved learning about the fauna and flora and how it is so closely connected to the region and its ppl. Christian is an amazing teacher and bridge builder of friendship.

If you’re visiting San José del Cabo, do yourself a favor and take a tour with Kristian. In just 3 hours, he manages to make you fall even more in love with Baja California Sur. His knowledge about the peninsula’s history, missions, architecture, flora, fauna, and culture is incredible, but what truly makes the experience unforgettable is the passion and respect he has for this land. The tour felt authentic, thoughtful, deeply interesting, and somehow still light and fun the entire time. It honestly flew by, and I finished it already wanting to take it again. People like Kristian make you appreciate Los Cabos beyond the beaches and resorts. Absolutely one of the best experiences I’ve had here.
Great historical walking tour of San Jose and Los Cabos in general. The tour time is perfect as you can either have dinner before or afterwards. It's not too long and Kristian was very friendly and informative, answering questions along the way and explaining the deep history and recommended things to see and do. Was a nice relaxing way to learn about the area.

Kristian gave us an outstanding history tour. This is so worthwhile as a first stop in Los Cabos. We were glad to find this type of tours and highly recommend. He mentioned that he does a part 2 which we would definitely be interested in .
Guide was interesting and informative and knew a lot about San Jose. However we just didn't really see much that was especially interesting. We would have liked to be able to go into some of the buildings. Perhaps it would have been better during the day, although we got to see the square at night.

My husband and I were interested in learning more about the history of San Jose del Cabo so we booked this tour with Kristian . The tour was fantastic as we learned all about the history, architecture and de elopement of this charming town into what it is today. Kristian is extremely knowledgeable and he does this work to ensure the culture and history of his town remains alive. He expressed the importance of sharing this insight not only;y with tourists but also helping the local community by running tours for local schoolchildren as well. The tour was the perfect amount of time and at the right time of day as the sun sets along the town and casts beautiful light. I highly recommend,,end doing a tour and then grabbing a bite to eat at the towns amazing restaurants.
Such a great and informative tour with our guide Christian. Being a local and also someone who has lived in other countries (but has come home to live in Cabo) he has a great perspective on his hometown. He gave a great lesson on the past and present history of Cabo. I highly recommend booking this tour for people of all ages. Best tour I've ever been on in Mexico.
This was a very interesting look at the town and its history, along with lots of information about the current challenges and how they are dealing with them. Very easy walking, small groups which allow for a lot of conversation and questions. If you are interested in learning about the people who live here and have lived here this is the perfect place to start. San Jose del Cabo is very different from Cabo San Lucas, it is a very charming town and feels more like Mexico. The Uber ride was inexpensive and you you come on Thursday you can enjoy the Art Walk, where you can stroll around and talk with the local artists. We really loved this tour!
Excellent tour! Christian is a very knowledgable tour guide, who doesn't hesitate to talk about the less positive parts of Los Cabos & has a ton of information about everything you can see (and probably don't even notice) in the historical city centre. The tour takes about an hour and a half and is a must for everyone even remotely interested in the history of San José del Cabo and Los Cabos in general. Not for everyone: don't expect any freebies, tastings or 'tourist traps', this is the real deal. We were a small group, which made interaction easy and Christian even takes his time at the end of the tour to answer all your questions. Highly recommended!

Really interesting. Maybe not for everyone, but it was EXACTLY what we wanted. Christian told us that this tour was originally meant for locals to learn about their own history. A real cultural and historical tour. Not whitewashed, just the real history. Christian was informative and really got us involved. Small group - the two of us with 3 women from Texas. Not sure the three women from Texas were expecting what they got. He was very up front that it could get uncomfortable and they could drop out before it started. They stayed and it felt like they were expecting something more "tourist" oriented. They seemed uninterested most of the time.
Kris was very informative and took us to areas in the city we would not have seen ourselves. He discussed historical as well as current issues facing Baja.

Tour guide provided the type of insight that could only come from someone who grew up in Cabo San Jose. He kept the walking pace reasonable, stopping to describe historical structures and provide background on how the local culture influenced a decision. For instance one type of local fish is only available for local fishing and consumption—no commercial fishing of this species is allowed. He also explained more about the types of plants and trees in the city
Kristian provided us with a locals insight into the San Jose de Cabo community and the surrounding region. A fascinating history! Highly recommend this tour!
Kris was a great guide who really has a passion for telling visitors about the real San Jose del Cabo. We had a great time, and learned a lot; everything from history, architecture, wildlife, plants and the current culture of the area. We also liked that it was a small group (6 total on the evening we went), and the length was perfect at 90 minutes. We would highly recommend the tour!
We had a wonderful time learning all kinds of neat little things about San Jose and the history of the region from before colonization to present. And I really appreciated how this organization uses the profits to help youth in the area.
If you want to understand some of why San Jose Del Cabo is where it is and what it is, this is your tour. I loved it! It’s not an “exit through gift shop” tour at all. You’ll feel like you just had a college seminar with your favorite professor.

Kristian, my tour guide, was very knowledgeable and eager to share his country’s heritage. The sites we visited in the old town were very interesting and beautiful in their history’s legacy.
Kristian was a very engaging, interesting guide. He included a lot of historical and cultural details in his talk, and really gave us a great overview of the human and natural history of Los Cabos. The 90 minutes went by very quickly.
One of the best highlights of our trip! My husband and I wanted to know more about Los Cabos, old and new history, and Christian did an amazing job taking us around town ( including the arts district) and showing us/ teaching us about the beauty, nature, agriculture, tourism, local and historical events, impacts on the local economy, and general "things to know" This tour is very interactive, and allows you to ask questions and dive deeper into the lives of the local people who call Los Cabos home. Easily walked by anyone of any age, so I highly recommend this tour to anyone who's interested in Los Cabos.

He is a local with long family history in the area and he presents an amazing overview of the history, settlement, challenges of life in a desert and current conditions. His tour helps to benefit locals so it’s not only educational but important. I highly recommend this tour if you want to learn more and go beyond the tourist hotel glitz and facades.

First and foremost, the people that run these tours are highly committed to the history and culture of the area. They offer these tours for free for local people living in San Jose del Cabo. I happened to do this tour last on my trip through Baja CA Sur, and it wrapped up much of what I had learned in one tour. I would do this tour again, and they have a longer version which I would do as well. Kris was a great orator and guide.
The evening tour is the one to do, as the lights of the city come on, especially at Christmas time, with all the decorations. Kristian was great, very knowledgeable and proud of his town. We learned a lot. Can’t wait for part two! Thank you!

Excellent tour! This is the one to get if you’re looking for a quick but deep tour of all the Los Cabos region’s history, culture, and art. I was pleasantly surprised by how knowledgeable and good was Kristian, our guide. Definitely recommend the tour if you have a day or two in San Jose Del Cabo.
