Flavors Of Cabo San Lucas: Authentic Mexican Food Tour

We had an amazing time with Adrian today on this food tour. We were a little worried about the meeting place but walked into the mall and there he was. It was right next to a Petco and there was a " pet shrine " for their day of the dead celebration there. He explained about that then the eating began. He explained a little about our stops and assured us it was ok not to eat everything at every stop because there were quite a few stops. He wasn't kidding. We have been coming to Mexico for years and always try to work a food tour in. It's so worth it not to do all inclusive and eat what the locals eat. Our food was DELICIOUS especially the fish tacos! This was on par with the best and Adrian as GREAT. Some people are afraid of eating the food in Mexico and only eating at resorts or tourist traps. You are missing out on so much.

they never answered the phone for address conformation and we were 1 minute LITERALLY 60 seconds late for the tour. it started at 10 and we got there’s at 10:01 and there was no sign of any tour. there was nobody anywhere near. it seems like a scam.

Arlin is such a great guide! We appreciate that she’s a local and very knowledgeable of Cabo and the local, authentic Mexican cuisine. We spent a very delicious and memorable afternoon learning about the best local eateries, and sampling the food. We’d highly recommend this food tour. Arrive hungry, there’s a lot of yummy food on this tour!

This was a 10/10 experience! My 18yo daughter and I had a private tour because no one else was booked and wow! Adrian was our guide and he was absolutely wonderful, easy going, accommodating, knowledgeable, smart, and just fun to be with. We went to 6 places I would never have found myself, ate foods I never would have known to try, and really had an adventure. If there was anything we didn't want he made adjustments (my daughter does not eat pork but I do). Be open minded and adventurous and you will have a blast. One last bit of advice: do not eat the full portion at your first few places or you won't have room for the last few. I definitely got full quickly so be mindful of that. Its a good bit of walking too, so wear comfortable shoes - and dress super casual - these are not fancy places, but wow so delicious!

Turned out we were the only 2 so had a private tour. Food and guide were a 10. Would have liked to been taken 2 nicer places but food was great.

First and foremost, make sure to come hungry! There was almost too much food, but it was all really delicious so you do not want to eat beforehand. The tour guide was really friendly, the food was of good variety, and make sure to wear good shoes as there is a good bit of walking! Overall, a really good tour!

Arlin was amazing tour guide! She was on time to meet us at a very easy to find location. She took us to so many local spots. Everything we ate was delicious. Arlin told us about the local culture and answered all our questions. Whatever you do make sure to go with an empty stomach, you will not leave hungry!!

Arlene was the absolute best! We ended up just my husband and I and we had some wonderful conversations and got to know our host. We went to some fabulous hidden gems where the food and people were wonderful! She took Our food preferences and did an amazing job of ordering our food how we liked each time. The food was amazing and we felt like we were eating where the locals go! Highly recommend, we def found a couple gems to go back to.

The food was great as was our tour guide Adrian, it was just me and my husband so we got a really personalized tour. Would definitely do again, our favorite stop was the birria

Our guide Arlene was great, funny and kind! The food was tasty and at places we would never have found or tried on our own. Truly are nice day with so much food, be sure to come hungry.

Our guide, Arlene, was great!!! She was very knowledgeable on the local and tourist scene, not to mention the history of the places we went to and passed by.

Arlene was wonderful,very friendly,informative and her English was perfect,since our Spanish is not. The food was delicious and very authentic. We would recommend her tour.

Wonderful guide, friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of yummy food and a real taste of the local food. No rush and a perfect amount of time to experience a tasting all the way to dessert.

Kiki was a great tour guide. Loved going into the variety of restaurants and all the different authentic foods we got to try. The juice drink was delicious. Big hit for all in our party. Walk was about a mile and a quarter, sidewalks are a little dicey so wear comfortable shoes.

Make sure you are super hungry and don’t eat everything at the first few stops to save room for all the upcoming food.

My wife and I really enjoyed our tour with Arlin. She was one of the best guides I have had on a tour. She started by giving us an overview of the tour and then at each stop, she explained what we would be eating. She had a great relationship with each of the restaraunts that we sampled a variety of food. I highly recommend this tour. I also suggest that you ask for Arlin to be your tour guide. We had a very light breakfast before our 10 AM tour. We wish we had skipped breakfast, we were stuffed by the end of the tour. This tour will definitely take you to the places locals eat.

It was so much fun. Our Guide Adrian was top notch. We went to places and ate traditional Mexican dishes that we would not have done on our own. All of the food was delicious and so much that by the end we could not finish every meal. We definitely recommend this tour.

This was a great experience, super fun, the host was really nice and respectful. I would 100% do it again. The food was amazing and so were the drinks. My baby even enjoyed herself.

Adrian was an awesome host. He picked great local restaurants and dishes and was very knowledgeable about both the food and the neighborhood. He was even able to keep our teenagers engaged in the tour (which was no small feat!)

Highly recommend this Tour. It was absolutely amazing. There was a perfect amount of food. Perfect mixture of local that have been around for 25 years and spots that recently opened. Very fresh food, fast service definitely gave great taste of what Cabo had to offer

This has been one of the best things we’ve done since we arrived in Cabo! The food was incredible ( my personal favorite was the Quesabirria Tacos) and Arlin/ Danny really made the entire experience a 10/10! The knowledge for the history and just fun facts you wouldn’t know if you weren’t from here or from someone who lived here. It was a warm day but they offer water each place with no extra cost. If you’re unsure about this, my opinion is book it I promise you will not regret it. We bookmarked on maps all the spots so next time we come we can go back, it was all seriously that good. This is perfect if you’re sick of the so/so all inclusive foods at your resort!! Please don’t hesitate to book it’s worth every single penny.

Guide met us on time at designated location. Walked, talked and ate our way through a wonderful experience. We would have never found any of these spots with out a reliable guide. Entire event was worth every penny.

The food places Felix took us to were excellent. The food was very yummy and tasty with a nice sweet treat at the end. He was very informative and left us with zero questions.

Felix was wonderful in San Jose Mexico. He was personable and funny. Felix gave us an overview of what we would see and met everyone’s needs. The local food was delicious. We enjoyed all the food although the mole and fish taco’s were the best. We would recommend Felix and the tour.

Felix was fabulous. We really enjoyed the conversation and the experience. He took us to several places – – the chicken mole was our favorite.

This tour was awesome! Felix was our guide and showed us all around San Jose. DO NOT EAT before this tour. We had so much local food it was insane. He will show you all the great local places to eat and tell you about the town’s early history. Great tour and great guide! 10/10

Felix was a wonderful host. We visited restaurants and markets outside of where tourists typically go and ate like the locals. All the food was delicious.

We loved it! Food was delicious and tried places that as a 5-year resident I have never tried. Turns out, taking a tour in your own town can teach you some new tricks! We now have some great options to add to what we love. She does a San Jose tour as well and we will be trying that in a few weeks! If it's your first time or you have been coming here for a decade, treat yourself! Also they include the photos which I was shocked by.

We ate our way around Cabo like locals with great guides that shared informative about the area and the different foods we got to try. A fun tour you don’t want to miss. Go hungry!
