Me and my family had a great experience even though the fish haven’t been biting this time of year captain Javier made sure we were successful in having a good fishing trip definitely recommend

Here’s the thing- the trip was cancelled because of weather, but they didn’t call and cancel it. So we wasted $80 on taxi money there and back. The weather was actually nice out but as a precaution because of big waves , they didn’t show up. If they would have just called to let me know it was cancelled I would have understood. I even messaged them to double check and never heard back.

Captain Javier and his crew Mario and Freddy did an excellent job. They definitely know what they are doing and where the fish are. We were able to add to our dream list of fish caught. 2 Striped Marlin, 2 sailfish, and a dorado, and 2 tuna. We booked 2 fishing trips with them the same week. Both were a success. We fished with them last year, this year and will be back next year.

The best experience I’ve ever had on the water! Javier his son jr and Luis were so attentive to everything anyone needed on the boat and were so hospitable. We also got put onto 5 el dorados and right at the end we caught a sail fish! What am incredible experience!!!

Luis, captain Javier and the whole crew were excellent. We had a really great experience. They did a good job of putting us on the fish. I highly recommend this charter for your fishing trip. Awesome experience. Good communication before and during. Fished two days. Crews worked hard both days. Last day went out with Javier, Mario, and Alonso and wow what a day. Trophy marlin. Trophy sailfish. 10 tuna. They worked hard to find fish. Nice boats. Good equipment. They made it super easy. Would definitely use this outfitter again.

This was such a great time! We caught a Marlin, 3 Mahi, and almost had another Marlin. We did the 5 hour trip, there were 5 adults and two kids (10&12). I got so sea sick, but it was so so worth it! We all caught something and we had the guys filet it afterwards and bag it up for us. Our hotel cooked it up for us too! We did 6am-11am! Have fun!!

This a great trip..there were 7 of us. My husband caught a striped marlin, my grandkids caught nice Mahi Mahi...the crew were awesome and communicated with us and talked us through it all! Successful trip!!

Had a fantastic experience yesterday aboard the Phantom II. Luis’ crew was great. Javier(capt) and “super” Mario, first mate, were really friendly and professional. We only did a half day trip, but these two guys had us on a dorado in the first 30 minutes. Despite the wind and choppy sea, we caught a total of 3 nice dorado. But the real highlighters landing my first marlin! The crew spotted him following the bite, slowed the boat, threw a couple more lines with fresh bait, and BANG! Bent rod and I was in the seat reeling. Seemed to take forever fighting that fish, but we got him on the deck for a picture. The crew said I should keep and mount the “trophy” fish , but the wife shut down that idea!. So we threw him back to be caught by someone else. We had a great day with the crew. They pointed out different sea life to my the rest of the family, seeing rays, turtles, and even a hammerhead shark. I’m already planning to come back with my cousin and his son, and the Phantom fishing crew we be hiding us again! Thanks again to Javi, Mario, and Luis(owner), for making such a memorable experience!

Incredible Fishing Trip in Baja California Sur - Lands end, Cabo San Lucas with Phantom Fishing! Where right is north and so is left. What an incredible trip with 4 days on the water thanks to Brent, Louis, Javier and the crew. So many fish but my guy wanted a Rooster!! Boy did they exceed their expectations! Rooster, Dorado, Marlin, Tuna, Jack Crevalle!! Thanks again to all for making this trip of a lifetime happen!

We spent three incredible days fishing with Phantom Fishing in Cabo San Lucas, and it became one of our absolute highlights of our trip. Captain Javier was outstanding! Professional, knowledgeable, hardworking, and genuinely passionate about the ocean and what he does. Every day we were on fish. We caught roosterfish, dorado, marlin, and even a yellowfin tuna. The deckhands Mario & Martin were excellent! Attentive, efficient and encouraging during every fight. This crew truly works together as a team. While searching and spotting for marlin, Captain Javier was constantly pointing out wildlife around us — hammerhead sharks, dolphins, sea turtles, and more. It felt like part fishing charter and part ocean safari. You could tell how much respect and appreciation Javier has for the water and marine life, and it made every minute on the boat exciting. This trip was especially meaningful because my husband has serious mobility challenges, and the crew went above and beyond to help him. They carefully assisted him getting on and off the boat every day, safely stored his wheelchair on another unused boat nearby, and constantly made sure he was comfortable and included. Their patience, kindness, and willingness to help meant more to us than words can say. A huge thank you as well to owner Luis, and to his wife for the incredible homemade food each day. Fresh breakfasts, lunches, fruit, and snacks were prepared daily, and everything was thoughtful, fresh, and delicious. It truly felt more like spending time with friends than booking a charter. Phantom Fishing didn’t just take us fishing, they created memories that we will never forget. We cannot recommend Phantom Fishing enough and will absolutely fish with them again the next time we’re in Cabo San Lucas.

Incredible experience! I went out twice with the phantom crew and had a blast both times. The first day I went out on the larger boat and we caught a HUGE striped marlin with 2 hours of going out. The second time I went out on a panga and caught mahi, Bonita, and some other fish. I would highly recommend this charter to anyone looking for a good time fishing. We went fishing on Sunday, April 19, we were welcomed by the owner Luis with his wife Dolores, we were 7 people, my nephews and cousins, pure family, we began our fishing trip with the hope of catching a big fish, Captain Javier Ceseña and his assistant who were very helpful and attentive, and we started after an hour, we had not yet finished anything, there was some wind, something difficult for my nephews who are not used to going fishing by boat. Suddenly I heard the fishing line being pulled and I thought and shouted the first fish. My nephew got in the fighting chair and we saw that it was a stingray and we let it go. Another couple of hours passed when suddenly the fishing rod was heard for the second time and a big Marlin of about 170 pounds was heard and my other nephew got in the fighting chair for half an hour to get the big fish and he finally did it. The freckle is fun and exciting sometimes you fish and sometimes you don't. Captain Javier and his assistant were very friendly and trustworthy people if we return to Panthom Fishing again.

One of the highlights of our trip! Javier, his son and Francisco were so professional from start to finish. Within minutes of being out to our spot, we were already on a stripped marlin! Two total marlin and a skip Jack on our half day trip. Stop looking for any other company and book with Phantom. Top notch experience!

We had such a fun trip! We caught Snapjack and watched whales, stingrays and sea turtles. And they stopped by the famous arch on the way home and offered to take our picture. The guys were so friendly and accommodating. They had everything ready for us to get started as soon as we stepped on board (bait, licenses, etc.) We felt safe and in capable hands the whole time. And we had a friendly helper at the end who offered to help us get rid of any unused bait :) We plan to go back to Cabo and spend a longer time and definitely plan to do more fishing on the Phantom!!

There was 8 of us on this charter and we had a blast, captain and crew were very accommodating to all of us. Unfortunately we were only with them on a 4 hour tour (no pun intended) lol but would i go with them again absolutely, cant wait to go back and spend more time with them fishing and enjoying the fun I had.

This is the second time I have gone fishing with Phantom Fishing and it definitely did not disappoint. The first time my group caught around 15-20 mahi mahi and a huge marlin. This time we caught 8 tunas, 1 bonito fish, and 2 mega huge marlins! Luis, the owner, was very good about communication and also worked with my group when we wanted to change our reservation from a half day to a full day. His wife made homemade lunches for my group and made sure they were even still hot by the time we left the dock. Mario, Javier, and Miguel were running the boat and were a lot of fun. They were professional in their jobs, but always found the time to chat with my group and explain some questions we had on fishing or Cabo in general. After we came back to the dock, Phantom Fishing had people available to bring our fish to a company who cleaned our fish, vacuum sealed it, and provided boxes for international transportation. However we did transport all of the fish. We had a restaurant take our fresh fish and prepared for us around 8 different styles of consuming our catch. Best shore lunch ever!!! Overall one of the very best if not the best fishing experiences of our lives! Planning to go back next year and will definitely be using Phantom Fishing when I go back.

I can not say enough wonderful things about Phantom fishing!! Javier and Mario “Super Mario” were absolutely the BEST!! They are truly experienced and really know what they are doing. We caught 7 Marlin, yes 7! 🙌 We even caught 2 at the same time. They were as excited as we were and made the whole experience so fun!! We have been coming to Cabo for 27 years and done multiple fishing excursions over the years, and this was absolutely the best ever!! If you are looking for really experienced, and super nice guides, Javier and Mario on the Phantom II are your guys, I promise you will not be disappointed.

excellent crew and experience. There was some miscommunication however in their posting that (round) transportation was included. I made several calls to try and verify if we would be picked up at our hotel and if they actually meant (ground)

Monday September 15, 2025 - CATCH and RELEASE Today was an epic day of fishing with the crew of Phantom Fishing Cabo aboard the Phantom II with Captain Javier and First Mate Alfredo. Our lines were not even in the water 10 minutes and we hooked up with our first marlin of the day. As the day went on, we ended up with: 1 Striped Marlin 2 Blue Marlins 2 Sailfish 3 Dorados

Fished with Phantom 8 times and they have always delivered on the fish. Yesterday we caught a 250 lb tuna and a 300 pound blue marlin as well as multiple dorado. So glad we found them after being skunked 4 times by others. Thanks to: Javier our captain Oman and Freddy the deck hands And Luis Galvan the El Hefe

These guys are the best. They know where the fish are. Captain Javier and Angel were amazing, best fishing charter experience ever. Luis and his wife made the day special with an anniversary cake and delicious lunch. You can take your catch of the day and have it cooked at Alexander’s across the marina, delicious. We will be back next year, thank you for a special experience.

August 8th Started out the Morning Was a full moon Fishing was a little slow. Captain Javier and deck hands Were Very determined to catch fish. Stayed in close then went out a long way to find fish. End of day 4 tuna in the boat 3 Mahi Mahi .Had a great time Captain and crew were TOP NOTCH Very professional .This is the third year i have fished with Phantom fishing. I Like the way the handle the fish you catch and there passion of taking care of there clients

We fished with phantom 2 four days we caught dorado some yellow fin tuna we had three young boys with us they had a blast there was three adults we caught striped marlins we also caught 6 blue marlins the captain Javier and Mario worked their best to take care of us I fish with phantom fishing every time I go Luis and his wife had us burritos for breakfast and a nice lunch for all of us these people are great

I went out in the phantom 2 with Javier and Angel on Thursday the 31st of July. I have delt with this outfit before and had a great time. I'm a pretty serious fisherman where I come from and expect the same when I am spending my money. The boat was clean and the bathroom was cleaner than any boat I have been on. My plan of the day was Tuna and Mahi Mahi. I told the Javier the captain that is what I was after and he said it's fishing and I will do my best to put you in some fish. I had almost my of Yellowfin by 930. I had one slot left as Cabo has a limit in what any 1 angler can catch which is 5 fish. I told him I haven't had any Mahi action in a while and set off to another spot for that. Now mind you I say alot of great things out there. Wild dolphins were the wildest as the color of them aren't what I thought they would be. You will have to see for yourself on that one! But I was 20 to 30 miles out there and that's where all the action is. I did catch a nice Mahi Mahi to fill out my tag and not one time ever felt unsafe or not unable to talk to the captain or the mates. Angel and Mario were the gaff and bait helpers. Everyone spoke English very well and the owner Luis the owner has his wife make the best breakfast burritos I have ever had and I mean ever had in my life. Anyway I had fun caught what I wanted ate some great food. The owner has a great place to get your fish packed up and frozen as well. Javier told them we were coming in with fish and they met us at the dock. Took the whole lot and cryovaked them for the plane ride home. I had over 20 pounds of filets and it was 60bucks frozen packed and ready for the flight back here to missouri. Totally awsome experience and it will go down in my books for the best fishing one.
