Tello was a great tourguide who was able to tell us a lot about La Paz and the history of the area. We went to several cool places, great food, but the best part was Playa Balandra, a beautiful secluded beach with no waves and surrounded by mountains

Itinerary
Begin your journey with a visit to Todos Santos, a charming town where you'll have the chance to snap photos of iconic spots like the famous Hotel California. Please note, this visit is a photo opportunity rather than an exploration of the town, as a separate dedicated tour is available for a deeper experience of Todos Santos.
Next, pick up a to-go breakfast at La Garita Restaurant , a delightful spot known for traditional Baja California flavors, and continue to La Paz.
Upon arrival in La Paz, take a scenic walk along its beautiful malecón, a seaside promenade with stunning views. Visit the Velvet Box jewelry store for a fascinating pearl demonstration and capture incredible photos of the incomparable views from the malecón.
One of the most beautiful beaches from Mexico! Finally, enjoy beach time at Balandra (or El Tecolote beach , subject to availability) with its pristine waters . However, entry to the protected area of Balandra is subject to authorized capacity. Make every effort to gain access, but availability is not guaranteed. If Balandra is unavailable, head to the beautiful El Tecolote Beach, where you’ll still experience the stunning natural beauty of the region.
At El Tecolote Beach, enjoy a delicious seaside lunch at the comfort of a restaurant with spectacular views of Espíritu Santo Island.

Chose this tour because it included visits to all 3 places, La Paz, Balandra Beach, and Todos Sanchos, that I wanted to see! Beware! This was a VERY long tour that required an early start. I was picked up at my hotel, Hilton Los Cabos, at around 5:50 AM, about 10 minutes later than scheduled. The tour required around 5 hours of round-trip driving time between Cabos and La Paz, plus about 3 hours of self exploration (2 hours at the beach and 1 hour at La Paz). Also be aware that the sequence of the visit may differ from the description. We first visited Todos Sanchos, then La Paz, followed by Balandra Beach, before the included lunch at around 2:30 PM! For breakfast (self paid), we stopped by a rustic roadside diner on the way to Todos. The big 11 passenger van was comfortable and its AC worked very well! The tour guide was informative and spirited. Due to the mixed guests, he had to repeat everything in both Spanish and English. There were 5 guests and I was the only one from the US. The other 4 guests were domestic travelers. The tour guide provided each travel party with a beach umbrella at Balandra, which was very useful! My Balandra Beach admission and lunch were included, whereas the other 4 guests had to pay at the beach. I'm guessing they probably booked the tour directly with the tour company or via a local agency. This is a good tour if you only wanted a quick, superficial visit to the 3 main sites. There was not enough time to see/do much at each location.
Our primary goal of the excursion was to visit Balandra, however the park was closed and access was denied. We should receive the entrance fee of the park but that has yet to be communicated. The guide made many efforts to alleviate and give counter measures visiting other locations. We were really disappointed not being able to go into the Balandra, especially when we turned away at the gate
Amazing tour, friendly staff. Ismael was our guide and he was kind and went out of his way to make the experience really nice and enjoyable.
Our guide, Giovanni Dominguez, was very accommodating and knowledgeable about the history of Baja California. The beaches we visited were really nice.
La Paz and beach was an amazing experience. I highly recommend it to anyone. Sergio was wonderful.
Jose was an amazing tour leader! He was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience fun and enjoyable. He took great care of everyone in the group and made sure everything went smoothly. We had such a great time and really appreciated his positive energy. Highly recommend Jose!
Very good one day trip.. a must if you stay in San José del Cabo or Cabo San Lucas. Includes the Balandra admission fee and a very good lunch in El Tecolote. Ask for Luis Domínguez, great advisor apart of driver.
Worst waste of time and money. We were picked up at 6am for this trip. We went on to pick up another couple from another hotel, then the driver picks up two girls and a child from auto zone to join us on our trip. The first stop, we arrive to a street where everything is closed. We get out of the car to wander a street where there is nothing going on. Next stop we are taken to a pearl shop where they made us sit through a demonstration and sales pitch. When we finally did arrive to the beach, there was a huge line of cars waiting to get into the beach. The highlight is no one tells you that’s its jellyfish season and if yiu go in the water, plan on being stung. I was stung twice while there and had to be treated by a medic. 90 percent of this trip which is a 9-10 hour trip, you are stuck driving in a van. Unfortunately the people we picked up from auto zone along the way were rude, loud and drunk. They ruined what was already a bad trip for everyone.
Some of the most clear blue waters I’ve ever seen!! This has been on my bucket list for a long time!
We had Giovanni as our tour guide and he was excellent. He was on time, very knowledgeable, courteous and attention to details
Had a great time, Giovanni was a great guide! Gave a lot of information, always very helpful with everything including setting up shades at the beach and carrying our cooler.
Edgar did an amazing job driving us from San Jose Del Cabo ton La Paz. The stops on the way & at the beaches were exceptional. Thank you for a wonderful day Edgar !!
Edgar, was great about explaining everything. He was on time and very helpful with any questions we had.
Great trip to get to see baja california in a day! Amazing length of trip, comfortable van, our great tour guide Ulises was safe and diligent with getting us there and back safely 100% recommend going with him!
The whole experience was great , This is our second time with Ulises. His s good guide
Ulises was a great guide. He is very helpful and knows a lot. This is our second time with him, we made sure to ask him to guide us again.
Ulises was really good. This is the second time and we specifically requested him. Felt very secure and took care of our family. Thank God first but after him he brought us all back safe. Highly recommend.
Giovanni Dominguez was an outstanding guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful throughout our trip. He shared fascinating historical information about the villages we visited, which made the experience even more meaningful. On our way back, he also recommended several beautiful beaches and places to visit near our hotels, and his suggestions were excellent.
Giovanni Dominguez is the best tour guide I've had traveling. He was very professional, as well as personable and informative. Definitely recommend company and Giovanni.
Benito was absolutely amazing. He made sure we saw all the sites, explained everything, and was a pleasure to tour with. Highly recommend La Paz tour with Benito!
Our trip to La Paz was amazing. We got to see so many places, two towns- todos santos and La Paz, and two beaches- balandra and tecolote. We also were taken for great meals and snacks!! It was such a great trip
Very long day. The timeline could be tightened up by eliminating a couple of unnecessary stops. The guide was wonderful! The provided lunch was not good, either in terms of service or quality. But it's a beautiful destination!
We had a great day started with a stop for a on the road take out breakfast Stopped at Hotel California for a couple of pictures. Stop at La Paz nice just few minutes to do some quick shopping and pictures on the boardwalk. Stops at a couple of amazing beaches. Balandra beach was unforgettable and got to see some very unique fish swimming in the bay. Late lunch on the beach ,food was very good and more than one person could eat. Back in the Van with Giovanni who was a great guide ,full of interesting stores to keep us entertained for the whole drive both ways to and from Cabo San Lucas Thank you so much Giovanni for making our day fun and full of entertainment.
Great trip. Restaurants were great. Balandra Beach was fantastic. Tour guide Ulises was exceptional and very helpful.
We loved our tour with Fransisco. We learned the history of the sea of cortez and other interesting sites like the grand lemon pearl, Queen Elizabeth's visit, why Cabo is named Cabo and what a Cabo is and more. Loved seeing Todos Santos and would love to visit and spend a whole day there on another trip. The Maelecon was fun and I loved all the artwork. Bakandra beach was so breathtaking and unique I have never been to a place quite like it. Tecolote beach where we ate lunch was also breathtaking!!! Our guide suggested renting an umbrella for balandra we did not rent one and did not need it. There are little caves and coves in the rocks that provide some shade. Worth the early morning wake up for sure! Great tour and overview of the Baja peninsula. It is a full day tour and it is very worth it!
Giovanni was TERRIFIC! What a great day we had in La Paz with him. He was knowledgeable, friendly and he taught us so much interesting things about Mexico!
We loved Banderas and Tecolote beach and todos Santos. La Paz was ok. We could do without the short stop at jewelry store. Knowledgeable guide who knew quite a bit of the history. Next time would choose a todos Santos excursion.
Amazing day tour in La Paz thanks to Adolfo with Esperanza. Everything was well organized and effortless from start to finish. Adolfo was professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. We had a nice lunch at Tecolote Beach that was beautiful and relaxing. Balandra Beach was amazing and perfectly timed to ensure we got in. Adolfo knew exactly where to go and how to maximize the day to have the best possible time. Highly recommend booking this tour and requesting Adolfo.
Benito was a great guide and shared lots of information. He was funny, kind, and accommodating. The restaurant was next to the beach. Thank you Benny!
We went with a relative small group with Giovanni and Allain. It’s a great trip with no hustle . No mundane time picking up guests from hotels to hotels. Gio was the major guide and he made the trip customized and brought me to where there are most beautiful views . Gio even brought us to extra spots to see the wonderful sunset. It’s worth the trip if you have limited time in cabos and still want to visit the most famous beach in Baja. I would strongly recommend it.
Perfect but Long day. Lots of beach time. Omit pearl shop. Francisco was excellent driver and very knowledgeable
. Marco gave me alot of information. And answered all my questions. My sisters and I had a wonderful time. I loved the idea sitting up front to see everything
Had an amazing day trip with Ulises. Great driver and very knowledgeable. My favorite part was visiting Balandra beach, it was soooo beautiful! Highly recommend this tour! Thank you!
Very good experience, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Did not rush us at all and very nice. Highly recommend Ulises.
If you love the thought of seeing southern Baja beyond Cabo San Lucas, this is for you. Long trip but only 10 guests max in a very comfortable van eases that potential problem. Ramses is possibly the best guide I’ve had anywhere, so if he is the standard, the company chooses top quality. Tasty and generous lunch included. Personally, I would significantly reduce the time at Balandra beach as it is very overrated - 2 hours was excessive. Also, increase the time at Todos Santos to 40 mins and reduce the food break at the beginning to 20-30 mins. Regardless, this is one of the best days in my many trips to this part of the world.
The natural beach has no chairs or shade. We all got stung by jellyfish. They warned us about manta rays but not the jellyfish. Pretty beach but not very friendly waters! Hotel California was the best part but they are closing for renovations in November for 2 years, so be sure to consider that. It will never be seen in it's original state after November
Benny was very informative. Very patient and would recommend him to everyone for a great experience . He took interest in everyone's story that bought them here
Such a great experience! Our tour guide, Francisco, was very kind and provided us a great and safe trip. Balandra beach was beautiful!
Francisco was an excellent tour guide. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. We had a fantastic time. Everything was wonderful and well-planned. The food at both restaurants was delicious.
We did the the clear boat, and an Luca with Roberto and he was amazing and very knowledgeable. The Arch tour on the glass boat was an experience that was unforgettable. We also enjoyed the glass making tour and factory.
The tour was so great! Our tour guide was Giovanni. He was fantastic! He was very thorough in giving us the history on Todos Santos & La Paz. He drove very well & kept us entertained. Food was great. It’s a long tour but you hardly feel it because the drive is amazing. One suggestion is the driver should have ice to keep the waters cold.
We had a great time, and our tour guide. Adolfo Perez was amazing. He was very informative and gave us a lot of information about the areas we were exploring. His driving was great, his van was clean and cold, and the music was awesome. We had a great time and it would not have been possible without Adolfo.
We had a great time and it was such a fun and safe trip. Our travel guide Adolfo Perez was incredibly informative and kind. He gave us all sorts of fun facts and got us safely to each stop. He drove very safely and we had a great time. We need more Adolfos! Thank you for a wonderful time!
The tour was great, nice and detailed information was provided. Beautiful beaches and our tour guide Francisco Rojas was Excellent, he provided great advice and he is very knowledgeable.
Had a great day trip to LA paz the restaurant we stopped at the beach was outstanding. The tour guides were friendly Roberto and Joe were friendly.
On vacation for 8 days in Cabo San Lucas, we booked an excursion to a part of the area we had not been visited. We coordinated the trip via our resort, Puerto Los Cabo Secrets. The driver picked us up at 5:00 a.m. and dropped off at 7:00 p.m. (since was were that first pick up) since he had pick-up other guests (11 in total). Our drive was friendly and professional. He spoke both English and Spanish. While we enjoyed the excursion, we would have enjoyed more time in La Paz to explore the shops and food places. We did have about two hours at the beach, Playa Balandra, which had crystal clear water and sandy white sands. Lunch was provided. But being hard core foodies, we didn’t find our shrimp taco tasty. Also, you want to make sure to bring water, sun screen, water shoes, hat, towel, and may be snacks. The beach is environmentally safely and does not sell items on the beach. I do give them credit for maintaining their beach. Overall, we had a great time on this excursion.
Ulisses was such a kind tour guide! He really went the extra mile to check on us, see if we had a good time, and explain everything clearly to the Spanish and English speakers on the tour. Balandra beach was one of most beautiful beaches I have been to and all the food was tasty! Would definitely recommend this to others.
Adolfo, the tour guide, was absolutely amazing! He was extremely knowledgeable and made the whole experience truly memorable! Todo Santos was historic and artsy, a stop for breakfast with the best queso asada! La Paz shopping was fun and Balandra beach was pristine and just breathtakingly beautiful! I loved that we stopped at a gas station as I grabbed some local snacks for my kids back home. Telecote Beach lunch was great and Adolfo surprised me with a birthday cake, candle singing and all. I highly recommend this trip… it’s a lot in one day, but it’s quick and you’ll wish it was longer! Thanks Adolfo for a fantastic and memorable experience! What a great way to celebrate my 40th birthday!
Trip to La Paz was excellent and our driver/guide was great. Super friendly and made our day with family very eventful and comfortable. Would recommend it to anyone
