This was an absolute amazing experience!! I have to say I entered not knowing the history of tequila or even liking tequila and I left purchasing a bottle from the tasting! The wealth of knowledge and joy was evident in our host. If you have the time I absolutely recommend this you won’t be sorry. I went with a group of friends and we all loved it.

This tour was incredible. Excellent tour guide (Wendy) and such good food. Very enjoyable. We highly recommend!
Lenny was great at explaining the heritage and differences in the styles of tequila! Didn’t know there are female and male plants and bats are so important!
This was our first time booking a tequila tasting, and it was amazing! We learned so much about tequila and mezcal from how and where they’re made to how to properly sip and enjoy them. We also learned how pairing them with different foods brings out new flavors. Trust me, we’ve been drinking tequila all wrong! Such a fun and eye-opening experience. Highly recommend!
The experience was 10/10. I will be going back for the mezcal tasting. Luis was fantastic and the best educator. The tequila and pairings were fantastic.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and explained things about the tequila making process that we had never heard before. I would definitely recommend!
Super private experience. There is so much pride in the tradition of making tequila. I learned so much information . The operator was super genuine in describing the different tequilas and how to pair with each one. There was a bachelor party group with our tasting and they made it more enjoyable. I did now know that there was ‘sipping’ tequila. I learned I like Mezcal over blanco. I didn’t know there was a liquor type tequila to add to a recipe or a coffee - the cinnamon one is dangerously good. I highly recommend visiting this establishment!
My husband and I went to the 90 minutes tequila and mescal tasting experience. It was very informative and my husband loved all the samples. I’m not a huge tequila fan but I tried a few and really loved the coffee flavored tequila. They have a unique selection of artisanal and ancestral tequilas and mescals. We’re bringing a few bottles home to Arizona.
PLEASE GO! the most knowledgeable and personable guide, taught us so much about tequila!!! YAYYYYYYY
We had an amazing time at the tequila tasting! Our host, Luis, was absolutely fantastic—he was knowledgeable, engaging, and kept the experience fun with his great sense of humor. He shared the fascinating history of tequila and taught us the proper techniques for tasting and drinking it, which made us appreciate it even more. The entire experience was interactive, informative, and entertaining from start to finish. We learned a lot, laughed a lot, and had an awesome time. If you have the chance to do this tasting, I highly recommend it—especially if Luis is your host!
Learned how to taste tequila the right way.
Juan Andres did a wonderful tasting for my family! He spent a lot of time on the process of making the tequila and how to have the best experience. We learned a lot and enjoyed our experience!
Luis, the facilitator. was very knowledgeable and fun. He provided very interesting and detailed presentation...not just a tasting, but we were educated on the various types of agave as well as the natural versus the commercial production of tequila which determines the taste of the final product. It was a great experience!
A must do while you’re in town. Very educational and the tequila was some of the best I’ve ever tasted.
It was a fun and informative tasting with a friendly and knowledgeable guide! Lots of tasty tequilas!
We learned so much information about the process of tequila. Our guide was so informative, so fun, and so helpful with explaining about the process of how tequila is made. This is a must if you come to visit Cabo.
The session was exceptionally informative and greatly exceeded my expectations. I found Luis to be highly engaging throughout the entire experience. His ability to convey the information in an accessible manner was particularly impressive. This tasting has significantly deepened my understanding of tequila and its origins. This is a must do when in Cabo.
This was our fourth class with Mexico's Johnny Cash as we bring newbies with us to Cabo: we always learn something new about tequila, mescal, raicilla, and bacanora, and he's always patient and delightful! The pairings with shrimp, fruit, beef, chocolate, cheese and candy truly change the way I think of serving tequila. It's both educational and delicious! It has given us a new appreciation for the liquors made from agave!
This is an amazing experience. Juan “Johnny Cash” is a wealth of information. We learned the history of tequila and how to properly drink it. I will definitely attend this event again!
Louis was an excellent host. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Tequila and other Mezcals. The tastings and pairing were fantastic! Will definitely recommend this tasting.
10/10, we loved Luis! Huge highlight of our bachelorette trip. Will be back for more Pistachio tequila :)
This was such a great experience, and was the most memorable part of our trip to Cabo San Lucas. We learned so much about the rich history of tequila and Mexico. I would HIGHLY recommend taking part in the tasting. You won't regret it.
This was an amazing experience learning about how tequila is made & to try different ones. A MUST!!!
We arrived an hour early. They set up a private tasting for us because we were so early.Very generous of them.
Juan was fantastic. He spent the first half of the time giving us the full background on how tequila is made and the differences. It was extremely educational. Then we spent the second half tasting and picking out flavor profiles. Highly recommend.
Great presentation about how tequila is made and all the variety of agave plants. Our guide was fun and made the experience educational and interesting.
This was a great session to learn the history of agave, the specifics of tequila and mezcal and a personalized tasting experience of different types! Our host, “Mexican Johnny Cash” he said they call him, was fabulous and treated us wonderfully making sure we were all enjoying ourselves.
We got a thorough and very entertaining education on the history of tequila and the tasting experience was exceptional and a little mind blowing.
Really awesome. So much information about Mexico and Tequila. Luis was amazing, knowledgeable and funny. I took a chance (because I didnt like tequila) and did not regret it., ended up buying 5 bottles. The pairing and tasting was great. Will go again and definately recommend.
Very informative excellent experience and the tequila drinking lesson was needed, the tequila was delicious especially the coconut
SOOOO FUN!!!!! Our tequila teacher was AMAZING we loved him so much. Lots of good info and delish tequila!
We walked in unscheduled and wanted a tasting. They made it work for us and it was fantastic. Would recommend if you like tequila
If you are looking for an authentic and educational tequila experience in Cabo, **Santos Destilados** is an absolute must-visit. This isn't just a quick tasting; it’s a deep dive into the craft and soul of Mexican spirits. The staff here are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate. They explained the entire process—from the harvesting of the agave to the distinct differences between Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo. You can really taste the quality and the traditional methods in every pour; the flavors are clean, complex, and miles ahead of the mass-produced brands you find in tourist shops. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed, making it the perfect spot to slow down and truly appreciate what you’re drinking. Whether you are a long-time tequila aficionado or a complete beginner, you will leave with a new appreciation for the art of distillation. **Highlights:** * Expert-led tastings with rich historical context. * Friendly, non-pretentious environment. Highly recommend stopping by if you want a true taste of Mexico!
This was great! Beautiful building and extremely knowledgeable staff. Learned a lot and tasted all amazing spirits!
Cool, private and knowledgeable staff. Friendly people and it's relatively close to the place tenders arrive from the cruises. Great tequila and mezcal selections.
Great hosts. Private room. Knowledgeable and friendly. Answered questions and very informative. My 3rd time.
Luis did a fabulous job of explaining the history of tequila and mezcal as well as the distillation process. We had a wonderful time!
Juan Andrés was so knowledgeable and captivating in his explanations! The expertise is unmatched! We learned so much at this tasting!
We wanted to do a tequila tasting but the cruise ship sponsored ones did not appeal to us. We found this through TripAdvisor and was able to book with enough time to get off and back on the ship. Very informative, I would recommend.
Luis and family are very knowledgeable about Tequila and all of its variations. They speak enough English to make the experience great for everyone! And the Tequila is handcrafted and excellent!
We enjoyed our private tasting. It was interesting to learn about the history, techniques, methods, and the nuances related to tequila making. We would recommend a visit!
Excellent experience. Learned lots about tequila and mezcal. Highly recommend. It was a great experience.
Luis is very knowledgeable on tequila history. The presentation and tasting is given with some good humor and wonderful tasting pairings!
This was a lovely experience not just trying the different tequilas but also learning about the distilling process, history, and regions of tequila.
Had a wonderful time! 10/10 recommend and will come back!
I would have easily rate it 5 stars, except for the 30 minute presentation at the beginning, which nearly put me to sleep with "demasiado" details about Mexican geography and history of tequilla. But when we finally got to the tasting, it was absolutely awsome! We were offered at least 10 different tequillas (some paired with food tasting), ranging from Blanco, Reposada, Anejo, and several versionsl of Mezcal. Needless to say, we left very happy and with some very fine tequilla!
This was my second visit and both times, Luis was our presenter. Luis is extremely knowledgeable with a deep understanding of tequilas and mescal and the company's products are very unique and not available commercially. The tasting was in a small private room for the six of us and included over a dozen samples, some with food pairing. I would highly recommend the tour to anyone interested in learning more about tequilas and mescals and I would do it again for a third time.
Very informative and intimate experience. We were there for about 1.5 hours and learned about the history of tequila and how it was made, before sampling their brand’s tequila and pairings. Worth a visit!
Excellent tequilas and mezcals. Also included an interesting history behind tequila and its significance within Mexico.
Two couple-friends our daughter & son-in-law joined my husband and me for the informative tequila and mescal tasting/pairing at Santos Destilados: we tried 4 tequilas 4 mescals, and 4 flavored tequilas with different fruits, chocolates, and meats. Johnny Cash, our tasting master, had maps and an iPad to illustrate different Mexican agave regions with pictures while he explained how both tequila and mescal are made, and he seemed excited to educate us about a passion and culture of which he is proud. It was both informative and fun--for the one novice as well as the seven more experienced tequila/mescal drinkers. It was my fourth time to do this, and I learn something new each time.
