I would rate this one star if I could. The trip was to include a pass by the Nautical Corridor then on to Chileno Bay Los Cabos for snorkeling. Then there was to be another stop at Santa Maria Beach...we never got there. The captain, Omar, never said anything about the conditions, he just kept circling the bay. I asked why weren't going to the other locations he just said that the conditions were too poor to go but said we could if we wanted to sit on the boat for a very long time. I mean, that was kind of the purpose and they just denied and and tried to talk us out of it. They knew the conditions well ahead and the cancellation policy states "This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund." That never happened and we would have preferred that to circling the bay inhaling boat exhaust and gasoline for thee hours. The trip was absolutely horrible with people who know nothing and really were not aware of safety. They require tourists who know less. Viator is a system that shady operators use to hide behind so that there is no clear record of their reputation - the counter we first went to were operating charters under various names. There's no way to track down who they really are and Viator supports this practice. Very disappointed and I know I'm not getting my money back.

Itinerary
One of our favorite places to snorkel, lots of different species of marine life to see. If the conditions are right and guests want to jump in the water, this surely is a great way to start your trip.
The iconic Arch of Cabo San Lucas, probably the spot where most pictures are taken in whole Cabo! Especially at sunset this point of interest becomes spectacular.
The coastline between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose' del Cabo is called the Corridor. Great landscapes and plenty of opportunities to snorkels. A plan will be made during the trip according to weather conditions and guest desire.
This is our beach of choice: one of the most beautiful bays of Cabo San Lucas. Here we will have time to snorkel, use the paddle board o just enjoy the view while sipping our tasty food and ice cold drinks.
Another beautiful beach where we will stop to snorkel.

My wife and I celebrated our birthdays! The yacht was very clean and spacious! Plenty of room to relax in both the front and back of the boat! Snorkeling was fun, and the flotation device too! The guides were incredible! They hung a birthday banner, played a birthday song, and had shots for us when we arrived! The shrimp ceviche and guacamole were super fresh and delicious! The margaritas too! Definitely a 5 star experience! We would definitely book with them again!
We had a grip of 5. I had a few question prior to booking . They communicated very well and answered all my questions promptly. The crew was awesome. Very attentive and cheerful. We cruised and snorkeled. They served a full lunch with ceviche, guacamole, pico, and some of the best steak and chicken fajitas ever!!
Alonso and Coco we’re awesome. Very attentive to our needs. And very informative. I would do again next time
Coco and Jared did an amazing job! They were helpful, kind, and attentive with our cautious friend and us as a group. The food and drink were yummy. A relaxing and fun experience was had by all!
I had an amazing time!! Would do it every time!!
Crew was fantastic!!! Highly recommend! So great
Amazing experience. The captain and crew were very professional.
Alonso and Omar were the best!! Great sight seeing and snorkeling. We saw turtles, hammerhead sharks, mako sharks etc. Great time, highly recommended!!
It was an awesome day!! Coco and jared were wonderful hosts!!
Great trip with Alonzo and Miguel! They were wonderful hosts and lunch was delicious. A great birthday outing
What a great day this was! Our captain Ruben expertly located a pair of whales, despite it being late in the season and it was mesmerizing to watch them glide through the water. Paul was quick to make sure that we never saw the bottom of our drink glasses and made great cocktails! The fajitas were a perfect way to end the trip after we did a bit of snorkeling.
The boat was beautiful and our guides were excellent. I’ve never seen so many whales before! They were also great with our children, helping them to enjoy the experience even though a little timid at first
Alonso and Robin were amazingggg! Such a fun day. Food and drinks were great.
Great experience with Ruben and Alonzo. Perfect family trip seeing the arches and whale watching. They were knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Would highly recommend.
What a great experience! We saw a number of animals, we spent some time snorkelling and they service was fantastic. They were great with my young kids as well. I can not say enough good things about our crew.
Four in our family took a 3-hour private cruise. It was perfect. A beautiful day, for starters. We watched some whales playing for a while—awesome—then toured around some, and ended up swimming/ snorkeling for a while. The crew was the best, making it very enjoyable. Highly recommend. The only uncontrollable downside: too many other boats out there doing the same thing! Wish we could have gone to a more secluded cove somewhere.
I loved my experience. Jared and the caption coco were great! They let us set up our Bluetooth, they also had ice, cups and all accommodations were on the boat. I will use their service again!
Amazing staff, amazing food, amazing experience. Lots of whales and great sights.
Beautiful day boating with Reuben and Alonso! Amazing service, food and cocktails! Highly recommend an excursion with them!
We spent a beautiful time on boat visiting some beaches, Los Archos and watching Wales. The lunch on the boat was super. We thank very much the crew for their courtesy and availability. We highly recommend this experience.
It was awesome Rubin the captain and Alonso were the best we went out to see the whales and the arch and we could not be happier. The boat name was My Dream and the person who put this together was Arturo he has been so helpful to us every time we come to CSL. Thanks to all of you Michael and Linda
This was an incredible experience and I highly recommend. We did 5 hours on the boat - explored beaches, snorkeled and had lunch. Very relaxing and the gentlemen Coco & Jared were awesome.
Jarel and Ruben were a great crew. They were super attentive, checked in on where we wanted to go and made the overall experience very enjoyable. The food was delicious and they made sure to check in routinely to see if we needed drinks. Lovely tour, and great experience!
It was a amazing experience, everyone had a blast, Coco and Alonso were great, drinks and food was great, overall would do it again. We saw whales and did snorkeling. The company was very professional and accommodating since we came in off a cruise ship.
Jared & Coco were great guides. Boat was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Food was delicious, guacamole was crazy good!
This was a great experience all the way around. Great food, and a comfortable time on the boat! My whole family enjoyed the trip!
My wife and I and 3 other couples had a great time on the Private 3 hr yacht Cruise (we extended to 4 hours which I highly recommend). The boat was perfect size for 8 people and Coco and Gerrard were fun and attentive. We cruised up to Santa Maria Bay where we snorkeled and ate lunch then back to the marina. The snorkeling in Santa Maria was really good. I highly recommend and we will do this again next year.
Amazing all the way around. Boat was extremely comfortable. Service was top notch. Sailed with 2 teens and a 10yr old who said this was the best excursion ever.
We did not consider the bay of Cabo San Lucas as a destination snorkel activity area. however, I can tell you that this cruise exceeded our expectations in hospitality and curating to our desire. The service was on point, the food, great flavor, and plenty of it and made this day a great day.
We had an amazing time with Coco & Ernesto!! They let you take control of your time and choose how you would like to spend it. The rock formation tour was awesome, they pointed out a lot of cool architecture we otherwise would’ve missed. We cruised the pacific side of Baja and saw multiple whales, which was unbelievable!! Coco knew right where to take us to find them, and did a fabulous job following them once we did. The boat was clean and easy to find with the waypoints provided. The food & drinks were delicious! Overall the guys did a fantastic job and made the experience one we will never forget! Would absolutely recommend them and definitely request Coco & Ernesto if you want a memorable & fun time!!
This review is long, long overdue (Aug/Sept 2023 option not available.) We booked a private tour for four people to see the bay of Cabo including El Arco de Cabo San Lucas and Pelican Rock. The day started out fine but the sky became progressively cloudy and the water choppy about 45 minutes into the tour. Unfortunately, the boat was recalled to port and the tour cancelled. Social Distance Charters was very cooperative and promptly, fully refunded our money. That's grade A customer service in our book and the reason why the next time we're in Cabo, we will definitely book with them again.
Ended up in the middle of pods of gray and humpack whales. Awesome sight. The ceviche and guacamole were 🔥. Lalo and crew were great.
It was a wonderful private experience! We probably would not have booked this private tour except at this time of year Cabo Trek commits all of it's bigger boats to whale watching, so there are no snorkeling groups that go out. They suggested this boat as an alternative and I'm so glad we did it! We went out on a 4 hour snorkeling cruise at 8AM. I think our guides name was Elio and our captain was Lalu? (not sure of spellings. I should have written this earlier because now I'm forgetting their names. Sorry, guys!) We let the captain know about our experience the day before when my husband got very motion sick and asked him to do everything he could to give us a gentle ride. Of course, that has a lot to do with ocean conditions, but I believe he did go slower and took very gentle turns. He did a great job ensuring our ride was very smooth. The water temp was around 70F, which is a little on the chilly side, so we were outfitted with 5mm full wetsuits before we left the shop. They also had shorty wetsuits, but I was glad for the long ones when I got in the water. We went out to Santa Maria bay. I highly recommend the early tour to get there before a lot of boats show up. Several did arrive, but we were out there first, so we were the only ones snorkeling at the time we did it. As others got in the water, we were already done. It's not a very big snorkeling area, but it was pretty clear. I think the more spectacular snorkeling would be in Cabo Pulmo, but we didn't have enough time to go way out there on this trip. I saw large schools of sergeant majors and yellow tail surgeonfish that are not at all afraid of humans. I saw guineafowl pufferfish, pincushion sea urchins, damsel fish (juvenile and adult), parrotfish, wrasse, and many others I can't think of right now. Our guide was on a paddleboard with us so he could keep an eye on us and we could ask questions if we wanted. I was glad for his presence, but he wasn't a marine biologist sharing info about the sealife. He threw some crushed up tortilla chips in the water so that fish would come up to us to feed. I'm not sure how ethical or healthy that is for the fish, but it was pretty to see them up close and he didn't do it a lot. Since I was already wet, I gave the paddle board a try, which was a first for me. They also had a big floating mat he put out, but we didn't use it. We prefered the cushions on the front of the boat instead. They are a little worn and have some rips in them, but they are very comfortable! An unexpected treat was that on the way out and back we saw many whales. We stopped in front of a lighthouse where a mom/baby pair was just resting. The captain cut the engines and we just floated as they came near to us. The baby was rolling around in the water and lifted its pectoral fins out of the water. We also saw two grey whales. We saw more whales closer up on this trip than we did on our whale watching trip the day before. It was nice to have the 4 hour private tour so we could spend more time looking at what we wanted to see. One nice touch is that there are bluetooth speakers on the boat, so I was invited to link to it with my phone to play music that we liked. There was a box with complimentary packaged cookies and chips and a cooler with water and soda for us. Warning: there is only a tiny ladder on the back of the boat that doesn't have handles above the deck to pull yourself up. Both my husband and I had trouble with it and had to have help getting back aboard.
Lalo and our first mate were awesome. We were able to see whales and hunker down in a great spot to eat just before sunset. The sunset was amazing and the memories are worth more than anything we paid to go! They have definitely earned repeat customers!
The views were spectacular and I had a great time. The drinks were excellent. The Captain and first mate were both very nice and extremely understanding and the english proficiency was good.
We had the best experience in the 3 Hour Tour. We saw whales, had a lovely dinner and captivated for a magnificent sunset. Forever grateful for the experience.
It was fine, not what I hoped for almost $1,000 for 3 hours. We enjoyed the Crew - they were very friendly and fun absolutely no issues with them. Saw whales which was a bonus. Everything was just very average - boat, towels, snorkeling gear, food - just ok. We really wanted to snorkel in less congested area like Chileno Bay and mentioned it several times but crew said it wasn’t good? Anyway it wasn’t a bad experience just not very special or memorable.
Best trip , great hospitality, very caring drinks on deck !! Great talk ! Eloy & Lalo thank you for the trip and the experience
Eloy & Lalo were very nice and knew there history. Definitely recommend this boat ride. They let us swim as long as we want
Eight of us enjoyed the 3 hour private all inclusive tour. The water was a little rough due to a storm the day before, but Captain Jose did a great job showing us the sights and taking us to a perfect area for swimming and snorkeling. To top it off lunch was literally one of the best meals we had all week. A definite highlight of our vacation!
Jose and Isaac were amazing entertaining and very knowledgeable. Will definitely be back Escobar family
Great trip for sure! The crew was awesome and the drinks and food were fantastic! Would definitely recommend and we will use them every time we are in Cabo!
Jose and Eluse were fantastic they gave us a great tour that my family totally enjoyed. We would 100% use them again when we return to Cabo.
Went on a sunset ride, weather was great and the ship staff were awesome. Very good and fun hosts, made good drinks and the food was of good quality. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a good, fun time.
Wonderful experience and wonderful service from Jose and Isaac. They provided an excellent and informative cruise. All of us thought the day was perfect.
We had such a fabulous time on our 3 hour tour. Our tour guides made everything so much fun. We enjoyed music and delicious food. The scenery was beautiful and we were able to capture some wonderful images. Overall we would highly recommend this tour. We were a family of 5 with 3 teenage to young adult children. Perfectly Taylor made for us!
Incredible experience for our family of 4. The crew was full of knowledge and very hospitable. They kept the drinks coming and the fajitas and guac were a perfect touch. Exactly what we hoped for in booking a private yacht in Cabo!
We had a wonderful trip with Social Distance Charters! Our captain and first mate were super fun and very knowledgeable of the area. We were able to spot whales several times. The kids loved it. The food and drinks were delicious. The crew did a fantastic job watching out for our little ones and adjusting the trip according to their abilities. Mom and dad had a great time too! The water was a little choppy the day that we went, but we felt safe the entire time. Highly recommend! Beautiful views!!!
We did a 3 hour private charter and it was an absolutely awesome experience. The captain and first mate were so friendly and helpful it made the trip that much more fun. There is no better way to experience the most famous sites of Cabo. Due to rough seas, we had to stay mostly in the Sea of Cortez and were unable to visit Chileno Beach and that area but that’s okay with me (we can drive there) — the time just flew by. The arches, Lover’s/Divorce Beach, Window to the Sea and Pelican Rock were incredible to see up close and personal. We did some snorkeling and the first mate got out there with us too which I was so appreciative of. These guys are all about safety but making it an outstanding and memorable trip for you — don’t hesitate to book!
