Cabo San Lucas Cooking Classes By Chef Ari

My group, consisting of 10 family and friends, attended Chef Ari’s afternoon cooking class in her home in Cabo. To say it was fantastic is an understatement! We had the best time. Chef Ari is an incredible chef with the best personality! Her staff was very helpful and kind as well. She was even able to accommodate a gluten allergy with Zero issues (one attendee has Celiac). Her home kitchen is a dream! And the view from the outdoor kitchen is absolutely beautiful. We added a tequila tasting to our experience, we even specifically requested additive free tequilas to taste, and Matteo Nailed It! I would highly recommend signing up for the cooking class. You will not be disappointed! We will definitely we going back next time we are in Cabo.

One of the activities we enjoy on trips is a cooking class. With Chef Ari we learned how to make pico de gallo, stuffed chiles, salsa and flour tortillas. Her location in her home was ideal with a large modern kitchen and a very nice outdoor dining area with a view of the ocean. Everything we made was delicious, fresh and made with ingredients that are available at home. She is a great teacher, and gave many helpful tips to improve our cooking. We are going to try these dishes once we return. We recommend this great hands on cooking class with Chef Ari.

Best day ever! Chef Ari is a fantastic hostess, chef, instructor and person! She has a great team that assisted from booking through dessert and we never wanted to leave. Her house, kitchen and outdoor dining area are incredible! Amazing views! We made a roasted salsa and chili rellenos - so tasty and we learned how to make these once we return home. Loved our day cooking, learning, eating and laughing - and custom cocktails from bartender Alex!

We had the BEST time at the cooking class with Chef Ari! She is so sweet, personable, and made the whole experience unforgettable. If we’re ever back in Cabo, we will absolutely rebook. We learned to make flour tortillas, al pastor, and salsa—and enjoyed some incredible margaritas from Alex too! We can’t wait to see her business continue to grow.

Such a wonderful time… Chef Ari was absolutely amazing! We learned to make Homemade tortillas and authentic enchiladas and guacamole. Her home was stunning and such an intimate and extremely fun excursion! Definitely would recommend!!!!!

Chef Ari was so welcoming and her home was so beautiful. Great place to relax and enjoy the views. The cooking class was very chill and easy - mostly chopping but a great experience. We made a salsa and ceviche, then Ari did a demo to make the Al Pastor sauce. Lots of sampling along the way with some delicious margaritas.

Went to Chef Ari with a family group of 9 ranging from 16 to 75+ and a terrific and delicious time was had by all! The place is clean and gorgeous. The staff was helpful without being overbearing and we learned to make delicious guacamole, fish tacos and tortillas. 100% would return for another fun afternoon. (And we can’t imagine eating dinner tonight we are so stuffed!)

What a fun and informative experience. The head chef (Ari) was delightful, very articulate and entertaining. Food prep was not complicated but very good. The class/lunch was held in her home which was beautiful and perfectly suited for the class. We had four adult couples in our group and were joined by two sisters who were in town for holiday. Ari had plenty of help with two assistant chefs and a bartender that made good margaritas! The shrimp ceviche and the fish tacos we prepared were excellent. Even had an unexpected treat for dessert to celebrate my birthday. Would highly recommend.

Home was perfect for the class. Stunning views and great meal prepared. I cook a lot and came away with new knowledge from Ari thanks again for a delightful day

We had a wonderful afternoon cooking with Chef Ari. She has a beautiful home that is perfect for this kind of event. There was just 4 of us but the kitchen & dining space can accommodate more. Chef Ari and her staff were kind, engaging, and knowledgeable. Chef gave us really helpful tips and tricks to help us prepare a wonderful meal. We loved that she also focuses on cooking while minimizing food waste. She gives you a menu of choices and everything prepared was terrific. The margaritas were also delicious. This experience exceeded our expectations!

Chef Ari and her team are amazing! Cooking with her was informative but not overwhelming, delicious and fun! Her home is amazing and as long as you get directions from her (which she is happy to give!) you will be fine to find the house. We had a lovely time and ate like queens! Highly recommend!

We had such a great experience with Chef Ari. She is super welcoming, knowledgable and fun. We were there with family including one teen and we all had an amazing time. We left feeling like we could cook a homemade Mexican meal but more importantly we enjoyed our time with the other group, her staff and Chef Ari. Her approach to cooking is refreshing, her home where she hosts the classes is beautiful and the price is very reasonable. We will be booking future experiences with her when we return!

Ari’s cooking class was fun and delicious. Ari is amazing and passionate and her team is outstanding. We cooked in a beautiful home with a top of the line commercial kitchen. The margaritas served while we were cooking were amazing. Ari was consistent in explaining both the ingredients and method of the dishes we made and we all learned a lot from the class. We highly recommend this class while you are in Cabo.

A fun experience with a great team. We learned a lot of new and fun skills to take home. They were very accommodating to all special requests. Not to mention the amazing views and beautiful house.

Chef Ari was fantastic. We have three daughters 11,12 & 13 who love to cook. Chef Ari was so patient and kind in teaching them! From the beginning to the end the staff was helpful and professional. Our girls loved the bartender who made them special mocktails and learning about the food. The class was well done and I can’t wait to see how this place will continue to develop over the years.

Our cooking class with Chef Ari was the highlight of our trip! From the moment we entered her beautiful private kitchen, we knew we were in for something special. Warm, knowledgeable, and passionate, Chef Ari—formerly a chef at one of our favorite San Francisco restaurants—brought Mexican cuisine to life through stories, regional ingredients, and hands-on cooking. She accommodated a vegetarian in our group, and her mostly female-led team was equally welcoming and attentive. An unforgettable experience we’ll be talking about for years. I’ve done Viator and Airbnb experiences around the world, and this experience easily rates in the top 3 for its immersive elements. We really got our hands in the mix! Ari could not have been more knowledgeable and passionate about her craft. Team Ari AKA her ladies moved as a unit supporting our lesson but careful to allow us space to really learn. It never felt like we were in a cooking class. It felt like we were at a friends kitchen, hanging out, drinking margaritas, and learning how to cook delicious food. Ari’s home is absolutely lovely and made you feel like you were one of the family. Antonio, her operations man, helped us above and beyond the call of duty for the days leading up to, and even after the event. We are unfamiliar with the area and were going to be there for two days and he gave us some personal recommendations. I’ve always wanted to learn how to make homemade tortillas and I left feeling both confident and competent about my ability to replicate the things that we cooked at home. This is my niece’s first Cooking class and her first time in Mexico and this set a high standard! Overall a 10 out of 10—a real win-win-win.

Great experience with Chef Ari patiently teaching us the art of fine Mexican cuisine. From selecting ingredients to preparation and presentation, it was an enjoyable afternoon culminating with a feast of our own efforts. Her team was vey attentive and helpful through the experience. Wonderful setting in the chef’s personal residence complete with a full commercial grade kitchen. We wouldn’t hesitate to do it again.

Chef Ari and her team were very nice as was their home. She taught us to cook some Mexican specialties which we got to eat after! They also made us very good margaritas. While I’m not into cooking I did enjoy the experience thanks to Ari as did my wife!

We started with a trip to the local farmer's market to pick up fresh produce, then had an easy and enjoyable class at Ari's beautiful home. What a view! Delicious lunch of homemade salsa and guacamole with sea bass tacos. We learned some basic skills and had a delicious lunch. Highly recommend.

It was the best! We always look for cooking classes when we travel and this one was excellent. It felt like being with family. We will come back and do it again.

Cooking class with Chef Ari and her team was an absolutely amazing experience! She and the rest of the staff are so warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. The house is stunning - huge professional kitchen, amazing architecture and design details and a beautiful outdoor living area with ocean views. The class was fun from the time we walked in the door. We enjoyed craft passion fruit margaritas while getting an overview of our afternoon. Ari then led us through food preparation and taught us several new cooking techniques. The amount of time spent cooking was perfect - enough to learn a lot but not too much. We then relaxed in the outdoor living area enjoying the views and a pineapple margarita. Soon after we were served our meal outside complete with a surprise appetizer. Everything was delicious! We highly recommend this class and will do it again next time we're in Cabo. This is a great way to improve your cooking skills and, more importantly, to learn about the culture and history of the places you visit.

We spend 2 weeks in Cabo every January with friends. During that time, we plan several “outings”, such as whale watching, hiking, cooking classes, etc. This year we chose to spend an afternoon with Ari and her staff at her cooking school in her home. From the first point of contact, our communication with Ari’s assistant, Antonio, was clearly detailed. We were working with some food restrictions and he re-worked the menu to allow everyone to safely participate in every dish. He made it look effortless! Ari’s staff was a well-oiled machine! They continued to work on their own assignments while Ari talked us through different elements of the meal we were making. She included them in the conversations and shared some of their specialty recipes with us. She clearly respects her staff. You may ask yourself “what can I possibly learn in Mexican food cooking class?” So many tips and tricks. And, you are sent the recipes after the class is over. One thing that we came away with was a new reference for some private meals and catering for when we come back with our large, increasing family. Well done, Ari and Staff

A group of friends booked a cooking class with Chef Ari, with no prior experience with her, only from reading other reviews. The cooking class, the experience in her kitchen, followed by a lovely lunch afterward met up to the hype and exceeded our expectations. Chef Ari was personable, yet professional, and you can tell she shares a special bond with her team. We are rooting for Chef Ari and her team's success! Chef Ari is exceptional, boasting a warm and inviting personality. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The class was the guys' first cooking experience, and they were utterly delighted. Chef Ari ensured the class remained engaging throughout. As a professionally trained chef, she made us feel at ease in her home. The food was amazing! Staff was wonderful helping us prep and cook the food. The class was the perfect length and we got to taste the food as we went along. Would recommend to anyone wanting to make authentic Mexican cuisine!

I met Ari at a bar that I work at in California and mentioned that I was going to Cabo for a long weekend vacation and wanted to take a cooking class. She described her beautiful industrial kitchen at her house where she offers cooking classes and I was astounded by her description and competitive price! We figured out a date when we'd both be back in Cabo and communicated about the cooking class via text. She was very helpful in finding her property which is in a gated community- smooth sailing. We arrived and were greeted with a couple passion fruit margaritas- delicious! We then created a 4 course meal which included traditional guacamole, ahi tuna ceviche (that her husband caught!), a quick and easy green chicken mole, spanish rice, and authentic flour tortillas. The whole experience was easy breazy and super fun! Her assistant in the kitchen was the sweetest and helped make the overall experience very smooth. I had a blast cooking in Ari's kitchen and listening to all of her personal stories. I would definitely recommend her cooking class to anyone in the area that is looking to have a fun, intimate experience and learn how to cook some authentic dishes! Thank you Ari and team!
