Cabo San Lucas Cooking & Dancing Class With Mixology

My husband & I have loved the JuanMoreTaco food tours and signed up for the Cooking, Dancing, and Mixology class for our friend's retirement trip this time: it was fantastic! It's a family business: they all work so hard to ensure the guests learn about their country and have a great time! Katrina was our enthusiastic instructor: we learned how to make margaritas from scratch, salsas, tortillas, and Mexican dance moves in between. We had so many toppings for our tacos--all delicious! Then we had a tequila tasting and learned about the different types of tequila followed by a chocolate (cacao) tasting--from beans to different types of molès (which could be bought in paste and powder to take home). We've been coming to Cabo for 20 years--usually 3-4 timex/year: MerCabo (market & restaurant) is one of our favorite places to come and to bring our many guests! It's always a fun educational experience! Salut to Katrina!

You can feel the family connection in this business! Energy was amazing, entertainment was great, food and drinks were exceptional. This is our third time and we can’t wait until the next time! Great way to spend a special night with family and friends!

Amazing experience! Karina and her team were exceptional. From the moment we were greeted and welcomed. This is a no-brainer every time you visit Cabo, this is a must do activity. We did our wrap up night there and could not have asked for a better experience, cooking, dancing, singing, and wrapping it up with some tequila tasting.

Be prepared for nonstop laughter and good times! Karina, her cousin, the musician, and their team really put on a show - to the extent that I didn't realize 3 hours had passed. We arrived to Cabo that same day we took the excursion, and it turned out to be the perfect 'stay up don't fall asleep' experience that not only helped us fight jetlag, but was also the perfect way to kick off to our bachelorette weekend. HIGHLY recommend! The food and drinks were great, the music, singing, and dancing were lovely, and the location is so cool too.

This was a 10 out of 10!!! From dancing to making mixed drinks to homemake tortillas!! This one had it all!!

This was by far the best activity we've done in Cabo! I absolutely loved this experience. We had so much fun. This class and family were the BEST!! I would highly recommend this cooking class. We prepared Mole, salsa, and quacamole. It was incredible. Juan More Taco was wonderful!! We're going to book again.

Worth ever penny, learned some new things. Whole experience was excellent. The whole experience felt authentic, as they shared their culture family traditions.

Everything about this was amazing. Went with my husband and three adult children. Kindra was amazing and so entertaining. We made the best margaritas in Cabo. A fiesta with salsa lessons and instruments. She also gave a lot of history of Cabo as we cooked.

Our host was Karina. We were welcomed with a smile. We learned a little history of Mexico and Los Cabos. We cut a squeezed about 40 limes that we used to make the best margarita. Next up was salsa. We learned traditional Mexican salsa is Roma tomatoes white onion and cilantro with a little lime juice and salt. Then we had a salsa lesson. Next up was guacamole. We made a traditional and one with roasted onion, roasted garlic an a little oil that we topped with cotija cheese. Another dance lesson. Then we moved onto tortillas. Just two ingredients and the key is not to over mix and when pressing not to hard. A hot griddle no oil and the most delicious tortillas. We moved on to two other drinks Paloma and charro negro. No more than 4 ingredients in either drink. And when using fresh squeezed lime juice your drinks will be excellent no matter the tequila used. We ate the tacos using the tortilla we made. We had ground beef w potatoes, chorizo w potatoes, refried beans, roasted poblano peppers and corn and roasted poblano and onions. Roasted onion garlic and roasted tomatillo salsa. We finished our cooking class with a fiesta dance. We moved in for a tequila lesson and tasting. We learned the proper way to drink tequila and not just shoot it back. A final touch of the night was fresh churros that you could dip in one of your tequila shots. 10/10 would recommend!!!

An incredible experience. Karina was so informative, fun, and engaging. We left with full bellies, new culinary skills, fun dance moves, and memories for a lifetime. Would recommend 10/10!

We thoroughly enjoyed our cooking class with Issi Radilla. We visited a couple local markets and enjoyed picking out the ingredients for our meal. We made tamales and birria. Along with authentic margaritas, guacamole, salsa verde and pico de gaio. It was such a terrific way to spend time in Cabo San Lucas.

This was so much fun, we learned how to make margaritas, dance and cook. Karina was very friendly and knowledgeable about the culture, she made you feel part of her family. It’s a family run restaurant and you finish the night with a tequila tasting. We learned about how it’s made and the importance of asking for 100% agave. You should defiantly check out this hidden gem when you visit Cabo.

This was so fun! Would 100% recommend for anyone traveling to Cabo. Amazing drinks, food, dancing, and music. Followed by a super fun tequila tasting. So much fun!

It was a fun evening! We learned how to make true Margaritas and Palomas, made 2 types of guacamole, corn tortillas and salsa. We danced, we ate and it was a very enjoyable evening! Carina was an awesome hostess! Then we learned about tequila and had tequila tasting with Jorge- it was awesome to learn about tequila- and try them.

Karina and her team will give you an authentic Mexican experience. The food was delicious and the people so welcoming. Learning how to make corn tortillas and a variety of salsas is something you can use over and over again. The tequila was continually flowing in a variety of cocktails. It was a super fun time for our entire group. I would recommend you make this a must do on your trip to Cabo, you will be very glad you did!

So fun! We had a great time. Karina was very entertaining and shared fun facts about Mexico. She shared a couple of her family recipes and we enjoyed the food so much. Made great margaritas, salsas, and guacamole. The 4 of us had so much fun learning to salsa and tequila tasting. Would definitely recommend. It was a highlight!

This experience is fantastic for anyone in Cabo with extra time. The staff was very helpful, knowledgeable, and experienced. We went to local markets to buy fresh ingredients, got first hand experience making seafood paella, chile rellenos, 3 types of salsa, 2 types of guac, tortillas, sopes and more. It was really fun and the food was delicious! And we ended with a tequila tasting, learning about all kinds of artisanal tequilas and enjoying hot churros and chocolate. We had a great time and would highly recommend!

Cookin’ with Cabo was the highlight of my trip! The class was fun, hands-on, and the food we made was delicious. The chef was friendly and made everything easy to follow. I left full, happy, and with new skills I can use at home. Highly recommend if you’re in Cabo!

This experience was over and beyond my expectations!! The staff was so knowledgeable and fun and created such an amazing experience for all of us! We were in Cabo celebrating my sister’s 50th birthday and wanted something special and unexpected, not like anything we’ve done before and that’s exactly what we got!! Karina and the rest of the staff were so friendly and knowledgeable about their culture and cooking/cocktails. She walked us through how to make salsa, guacamole and a few Mexican cocktails with fresh ingredients that we prepared. In between each lesson we danced to live music and got to join in with maracas and tambourines. If you want an unforgettable night that checks all the boxes, then I would 100% recommend this experience!

Came with my cousins for a birthday celebration. We wanted to do something unique and this was perfect for us! We LOVED every part of this activity…from mixing cocktails, learning different dance styles, to making the best tacos with homemade salsas and guacamoles. Karina was an excellent host! Highly recommend this activity!

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Cabo! Karina and her family were warm, fun, and made us feel right at home. We learned how to make fresh corn tortillas, guacamole, salsa, and margaritas, and then enjoyed it all together. The salsa dancing and tequila tasting added even more fun to the evening. My friends couldn't believe I signed up to make tacos and my husband said no way to salsa dancing. 10 minutes in and we were all having a blast. The best food we had on our entire trip. And the margaritas are the best you will ever have. At the end of the night you get to enjoy a tequila 101 class. We all wood do again in a heart beat. We especially enjoyed our host Karna. She put us all at ease immediately, told wonderful stories and kept us all moving.

I booked this cooking, mixology, dance class for my fiancé and I to celebrate Valentine’s Day. I wanted to do something fun with a more traditional vibe. THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!! We had such an amazing time and Karina is simply the best!!! The food and drinks were so delicious, much better than anything you’ll get at any restaurant. We met some wonderful ladies celebrating galentines. It’s a small more intimate experience which was absolutely perfect! Jorge is extremely knowledgeable on Tequila’s and made the Tequila tasting so much fun! I highly recommend!! Thank you Karina and Jorge!!

Our hostess Katrina was amazing, she has so much energy and knowledge. The margaritas we made were the best I’ve ever had. We participated in preparing the meal, which was delicious.! Katrina gave us salsa lessons and the band that played was great!

My friend and I showed up for this tour that we were excited about as it was my friend's birthday as well as our last full day in cabo. We waited all day, excited, for this evening activity. We show up in the tour guide tells us it has been canceled and we should have been notified the day before. While we were not notified, by him or any representative of his company. He casually told us this news and offered drink, an Uber back to our hotel, as well as a refund. We were extremely disappointed with the lack of communication as we could have filled our day and evening with another activity if we were made aware. We were the only ones not notified, interesting because we just had an activity with the same guide and Company just two days prior. We do not recommend booking with them as this is how they handle their patrons. What a disappointing day for the birthday girl.

My friends and I had such a fun time! Karina was a wonderful combination of friendly, calm, and fun. She gave clear instructions, was encouraging, and helped us make delicious food! We learned about Mexico’s history and geography, learned basic salsa dance, learned about and tasted tequila, and made margaritas, pico de gallo, guacamole, and corn tortillas. Everything was delicious and all the staff were amazing - we even had Josh as our own personal musician who added to the vibe!
