Beginner Scuba Diving In Cabo San Lucas

Eduardo and Costas were great guides for our group. It was fun to share the experience with my friends and daughter. Would do another tour with them.

The experience was great!! I do have to say that if you are not a quick learner I don’t recommend it as they can be very rushed. I was able to decide that I did not want to continue due to the pressure. Scott and Batista were super friendly! I do recommend them 100% but just not to people who don’t have any knowledge at all.

Great experience! Was very thorough and paid good attention to my son. He had a blast for his first time diving.

Highly recommend doing this activity and if you can, do it with Costa. He was amazing! So passionate about diving and teaching and sharing his love with others.

Friendly professionals that help the beginner feel comfortable and give the old timer a refresher. Jesus was excellent in instruction of materials and execution of the dive plan. Safety was a very high priority. Highly recommend, whether you're a novice or just need a refresher.

Karla and Jimmy were awesome! They were very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. We got to see incredible marine life such as pufferfish, sting rays, lobsters, angel fish, and even a shark! Karla was very patient with our son, who was hesitant to scuba dive, and she was very helpful and responsive with my husband when he had a minor incident. We would highly recommend this tour!

This was a great first experience Scuba Diving! The crew made us feel very comfortable with it being our first time. We got to see lots of fish :)

Jesus, Polo and Eduardo were amazing. They took my family of 6 out for the beginner dive. Three of us had been diving or were certified and three not at all. They catered to us all. Jesus was the best with all levels and Polo stuck with me who knew nothing! Seriously a great time.

We booked with Manta for the discover scuba tour with a second dive. Our instructor Kosta was great, very knowledgeable and funny. After an equipment issue and a brief class we got the boat. My wife, son, and I were the only people on the class. When we got on the boat we were joined by another instructor, Chui, and Captain Flash. Turns out scuba is harder than I thought but our son took eight to it. My wife and I took a little longer but Kosta got us under the water in no time. The second dive site had a ton of sea life and well worth it. It was the highlight of our trip and I will book with Manta again.

Costas, our guide, gave clear and easy to understand instructions. We went at a pace we were comfortable with. Amazing close up look at various fish. Might be a little challenging if you have trouble with ears/sinuses equalizing pressure. Otherwise, Highly Recommend!

A fantastic experience and great guide! Eduardo ensured that everything went well from the first steps in the shop, to equipment, to underwater tour! The marine life was amazing and worth it! Hints- be prepared for less than enthusiastic replies and delayed responses once you give deposit.

Fabulous experience. Our guide, "Jesus" put us completely at ease. He was so knowledgeable and experienced and great with my 11 and 14 year old daughters. The entire team was completely professional while still being fun. We'll definitely do this again.

Monik was a great teacher for an Intro to Scuba Diving, very focused on safety and enjoyment for the participants. She was passionate about the future of scuba diving for her career and training young participants with a safety focus The Captain of the boat, Jamie was incredible at handling the support vessel while we participated in our dives, navigating for and protecting the divers in the water, in very busy waters with many water activities adjacent to our dive. The admin team to the Manta Web site and online reservation and communications process with email billing and whatsApp was really efficient and easy. Not to mention trusting, when we left after our trip, forgetting to pay for our second tank dives. This was easy to pay for from our hotel room. We will dive with Manta again in the future, the next time we come to Cabo San Lucas. Thank you again Manta Team.

We were very lucky to have Kosta as our guide. We had a wonderful time! He patiently demonstrated and taught us everything we needed about scuba diving. We did two dive, Kosta pointed out everything he found. We saw sea lion, and tons of different fished, also an octopus! Highly recommend.

My 13 year old son was so excited to scuba dive for the first time and it didn’t disappoint! The guide was fantastic and he saw a lot of cool fish, sharks, etc. Highlight of his trip for sure!

Kevin and the whole crew at Manta Scuba were awesome! It was my first open water dive after being certified in the US and the staff was extremely accommodating. As a beginner it was great to have a 1 on 1 experience with a certified diver. The dive was beautiful seeing a variety of wildlife including my favorite a sleeping reef shark. My girlfriend tagged along and was able to snorkel from the boat which made the experience even smoother! On top of the great dive experience we got to take a pit stop at the iconic Cabo arch between dives. Can’t wait to dive again with the manta group.

Fantastic introduction to scuba diving! All 4 people in my party were new to scuba diving but the instructors were very informative and made sure to not only teach us but also let us first practice the necessary skills for basic scuba diving. We also had the flexibility to do a second dive (for an additional ~$45 USD per person), of which three of us elected to do. Even after one of our party became seasick, the crew handled it very professionally and promptly cleaned and disinfected the boat. The full trip was roughly three hours from 1 to 4 PM. We were lucky enough to be the only people in the shop at that time and got our own boat. The atmosphere was very relaxed yet professional, with enough flexibility to accommodate for any mishaps. Overall a great experience for all of us, would absolutely recommend Manta Scuba Diving for their Beginner Scuba Diving excursion!

This was a great experience! The check-in staff was very welcoming, and Eduardo was a wonderful instructor. He took the time I needed to adjust and feel comfortable in the water. Once under he was always checking if I was ok, and he took me to some little shark hiding spots, which was awesome. Manta Scuba diving and Eduardo made this a great experience.

I had a FABULOUS experience diving w/ Manta. Angela was my dive instructor and Flash our boat captain. I was certified 55 years ago-- but had not been diving in 32 years. So-- I signed up for a Beginner course to be safe and refamiliarize myself. ANGELA was OUTSTANDING! She had me feeling like I had never been away --in no time. Two great dives. She pointed out all kinds of marine life. Spotted the hiding moray eels, and other highly camouflaged residents of the reef. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Me and my daughter (age 12) did the Discover Scuba experience at Manta in Cabo. I have zero experience and was nervous about taking my daughter with me, but based on google reviews thought I would give Manta a try. I am so glad that I did. The staff in the dive shop were all very warm and welcoming. After check-in, we were introduced to our dive instructor Jesus who proceeded to outfit us with all the equipment, making sure that it fit properly and that we were comfortable with it. After a short walk to the nearby boat with the other divers, Jesus walked us all through the basics, answering all of our questions along the way. After that, we were in the water and embarking upon our first dive. There were two other couples in the boat with me and my daughter. Each couple had their own dive instructor — three instructors for six people. Jesus took great care to make sure both me and my daughter felt comfortable and throughout the dive I could tell that Jesus was really making an effort to ensure my daughter was okay. He was truly amazing and very caring. While my daughter opted to relax, I chose to do a second dive. Both dives were amazing. Tons of marine life to see. I am hooked. The other two couples who were diving with us also had nothing but great things to say about their dive guides/instructors, Eduardo and Kostas. Our boat captain Jaime was fantastic too. I really cannot thank the team at Manta enough. They’ve got a client for life as I will most certainly be coming back to visit them for another dive the next time me and my family are in Cabo. THANK YOU!!

I had an amazing time on a beginner's dive. Martin was a thorough educator, before during and after the dive, and excellent leader on my first attempt. We went to Pelican Rock and there was a nearly overwhelming quantity and variety of wildlife to take in. I had an amazing time, and look forward to completing my PADI certification the next time I am in Mexico. Thank you to the staff at Manta for making such an incredible memory for me, I will never forget it.

We had an amazing time diving with Martin. As our first ever dive, we felt very safe and taken care of with him. He was very patient with us as well as we were learning. We will absolutely be coming back to this company next time we are in Cabo.

It was such an amazing experience scuba diving in Los Cabos! It was my boyfriend’s first time and my second time (but I’m definitely not an expert — I still get nervous!). Our instructor, Martin, was absolutely awesome. He was patient, calm, and made us feel safe the whole time. He explained everything clearly and kept checking on us underwater, which really helped me relax and enjoy the dive. The water was beautiful, and we got to see so many colorful fish and coral. It was such a memorable experience — especially for my boyfriend’s first dive! Highly recommend this place and Martin if you’re looking for a fun and safe scuba adventure in Los Cabos! 🌊🐠💙

My wife and I went for our first ever dive with Manta after they were highly recommended. We will be highly recommending them as well. Polo, our instructor, was very patient and let us practice in the training pool at the shop. He was thorough and very helpful. The front desk ladies were friendly and informative as well.

Excellent!!! I book this because my husband wanted to do this for his birthday. I was honestly a little bit scared. We got to the place and Baptist, the trainer, went through over everything, all the details to dive successfully. Still, when we got to the boat and I got in the water I completely paniced! Baptist was so kind and understanding, took the time to calm me down and show me technics to breath and I was able to complete the dive. It was amazing! I cannot recommend this place more. They truly know what they're doing and will help you if it's your first time. Thank you!!!!

This was my granddaughter's first scuba diving experience, and it had been years since I last dove. Monty was a fantastic teacher! He explained everything clearly and was very patient in the water, constantly checking to ensure we felt safe. Despite the murky water, Monty used his flashlight to reveal hidden treasures. We were excited to see colorful fish, as well as starfish and pufferfish. It was an amazing experience!

Angela is the absolute BOMB!!!!! In a great sense. Very very thorough and very very safe. She explained everything and I felt completely at ease in the water. We communicated very well underwater with signals and we just floated up and down with some currents and changed depths. Never had a problem with clearing my ears. She showed how to attract fish so we could pet them. We saw ooodles of fish and a ray or two. The equipment was first rate. I cannot say enough good things about Manta and especially about Angela. Request her. You will NOT be disappointed and you will love the experience

Had a solo dive with edwardo and it was a very pleasant experience. Everyone on the ride was certified except for me so i was a little nervous but edwardo was superb and always checked in on me. I am convinced to get certified now! The staff was great and i highly recommend this for anyone interested! They take you to two places my morning dive we saw a mini shark, a seal, octopus and 2 manta rays during my dive!

This is the best scuba trip we’ve been on in a while. The crew was so helpful and informative. Andrea was an excellent instructor who taught my 14 year old son what he needed to know to be safe. On top of that she pointed out octopi, a sea turtle, flat fish, pipefish and numerous hidden moray eels! The captain helped us in and out of the water and picked us up right where we came up. I can’t wait to go again!

I rated it five out of five stars because they did an overall great job and it was a fantastic experience. Highly recommended to do it again.

Breathtaking experience, even for those first timers of our group that had trouble overcoming the initial challenge of going under the surface. Our guide Baptiste was extraordinarily patient with us and ensured every single attendee got to experience the underwater spectacle. Thanks a lot once again!

The guides were great explained everything to possibly know on the dive. They were all very helpful and attentive to the entire group. If I were to scuba dive again in cabo I would always go here.

Manta scuba diving is a wonderful experience! Booked the intro service for my wife and I. Chewy and his crew were fantastic! Very professional, attentive and friendly. Made accurate assessment of our comfort levels and took us in a wonder dive. If you’re a bit hesitant cause you haven’t tried it before, book it !! This team will make sure you have a good / safe time. Was the highlight of the trip for us.

Would 100% recommend. An absolutely amazing experience, great views, and a terrifically helpful crew. We are not swimmers at all but had an amazing time regardless. The crew truly cares about your safety and making sure you have a safe and fun experience. Would absolutely recommend to everyone looking for a great experience while in Cabo.

Perfect activity!!! This was my first time snorkeling and my guide took his time to make sure I was comfortable and understand how it works. His experience in underwater diving made me feel safe. One of the best experience I've had. This is the perfect thing to do when you visit Cabo.

Outstanding and very helpful! One of the guys in my group takes medication that's on the watch list for scuba diving, and they were extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

Yesterday we did a beginner diving tour with Manta scuba diving in Cabo, and our guide Baptist. It was a great experience to get our introduction into scuba diving with first a clear explanation and plenty of time and practice in the water. Baptist was nice, laid back and calm, which helped us getting through the initial hurdle of getting confortable in the water and breathing through the regulator under water. But it didn't take long before we were doing a dive, enjoyed, and saw some local sea animals. After learning a lot and getting comfortable on the first dive, we had a break and a second dive in which it was easier to enjoy and relax. Our norning with Manta was a great experience and introduction to scubadiving. Especially the quite tour. Only four people in the tour, and two instructors so not crowdy at all. Certainly recommended for everyone who wants to experience and enjoy scubadiving (for the first time).

I took my two daughters (13 and 16) for their first dive. We had an absolute blast. Pablo was our instructor and was humorous and very educational. Would surely recommend Manta and would dive with them again.

We booked beginner dive with a second dive and we loved the experience with Manta Scuba Diving. Our guide Mercedes was exceptional. She was very caring, kind and knowledgeable, and most importantly we felt 100% save during the dive. My husband unfortunately didn’t feel well and had to return to the boat in the middle of the dive, but Mercedes and the crew made sure he is ok and took good care of him. I highly recommend Manta Scuba Diving and would definitely book with them again!

The Dive Instructers were very kind, Angela helped one of us with severe anxiety and encouraged them to try again, offering to take them as a personal diver. The areas we dove in were lovely, they took great care of our safety, and were otherwise wonderful. Highly recommend for first-time scuba divers!

My husband and I serendipitously found Manta while in Los Cabos. We were curious about diving and the staff was very knowledgeable, patient and friendly when answering all our questions. We decided to give it a go. Brandon was our instructor and guide. He is very professional and kind. His class (previous to diving) was very informative. He gave us clear instructions which allowed us to safely enjoy the experience and learn a lot about diving and the natural environment. The facilities are very close to the diving spots. We are very happy with our first diving trip. We highly recommend it. Just remember to take a change of clothes (there is no shower in the facilities).

This was my first diving experience. I was nervous going into this as I haven’t been under water in years but wanted to experience being in the ocean with the sea life. My instructor, Mercedes was super nice and patient with me and answered all of my questions. She was absolutely AMAZING at calming me down when I first entered the water. The ocean is beautiful and I really enjoyed seeing the fish and a sea lion. Thank you Mercedes for making this an amazing experience! Highly recommend :)

Myself and my two sons (14 and 18) went scuba diving. Our experience was great!!! Our dive master was Baptist and the captain was Flash. Baptist did a great job explaining everything we needed to know and was very thorough answering our questions. Once in the water he was very attentive to us and made sure of our safety the entire time. I would most certainly recommend this experience as well both our host, Baptist and Flash.

We went Scuba Diving as a family and it opened up our eyes in an up close and personal way to all magnificent wonders underneath the sea. 🌊 I'm so happy for this experience, because up until now, I've only seen it on tv. We enjoyed Baptist so much with his safety training and guidance, that now me and my daughters want to become certified in Diving, so that we too will have the knowledge to travel and dive on our own.
