Awesome experience surfing with Max! It was a rough and windy day but he helped me catch some of the best waves I've ever caught, plus he was really cool and easy to talk to! It was also fun to drive out onto the beach for our surf day and see some wild donkeys on our way out. Highly recommend taking a tour with him. We plan to take more tours with him next time we're back in Cabo (especially some hiking tours)!

This surf trip was everything we hoped for and more. Instead of the crowded and busy energy of Cabo San Lucas, we headed to the East Cape and it felt like discovering a secret. We had private surf sessions on a peaceful beach with consistently awesome waves, and finished the day with tacos at a local restaurant on the beach!! Max was a great guide and the vibe was incredibly relaxing and authentic, like getting a true local experience far away from the Cabo hustle. It was the perfect balance of adventure and calm, and easily one of the most memorable surf experiences we’ve ever had. We highly recommend this trip with Max and will certainly be booking again!!

I booked surf trips with Max for multiple consecutive days during my Cabo trip. The best way I can describe the experience: it feels like you're hanging out with a friend that knows the area like the back of his hand, and is not only interested in making sure you're enjoying things and feeling safe & comfortable, but also enjoying himself as well. We spent countless hours in the car together, chatting on the beach, and of course surfing. He's a great surfer and will meet you at your skill level. Thanks a bunch for everything, Max

Max is a great surf guide with lots of local knowledge. Had fun surfing around Cabo with him. He had a great shortboard for me to ride as well, highly recommend!!

Max was our exceptional guide for our surf day! He picked us up at our hotel and drove us to Cerritos Beach for lessons. There were different levels in our group and he made sure that each person had individual instruction. He was very generous with time and flexible with our requests. We even had time to relax and enjoy the beautiful beach after surfing and he took us to a taco place for lunch (we requested this and he made time for this request). I cannot say enough good things about our day with Max!

Max took me special point even though pacific side was close and resort side is too small. He is very well know about Los Cabos surf spots.

This was hands down the best thing we did while in Cabo. Max was super prepared (comfortable car, beach chairs & umbrella, snacks & water) as well as a great instructor. It was our second day surfing and we were able to catch waves ourselves & ride them almost to the beach by the end of the day. Really highly recommended, would go again tomorrow if I could.

Absolutely, the best surf tour in Cabo. It was exactly what I was looking for. Max provided transportation to and from my hotel. And took me on a personal surf tour to some local breaks, perfectly suited for me. You will not find a better guide. It felt like a day of surfing with a buddy. I cannot recommend his tours enough.

I was kinda nervous to surf because it had been awhile and I was still a beginner. But Max made me feel comfortable, gave super helpful tips and made the entire experience a lot of fun. He picked out the perfect board for me and I was able to catch waves and ride a few 5+ seconds which is amazing for me. The beaches were spectacular with barely anyone else around, it was clean and we had 2-4ft waves to ride. Later got lunch at a tasty seafood place overlooking the ocean. Also appreciate him picking me up from my hotel, bringing chairs and beach umbrella for rest, and providing snacks and water. Highly recommended.

Max picked us up in a clean and spacious vehicle, and was professional and polite throughout the trip! He had comfy beach chairs, umbrellas and snacks, and made sure that we had surfboards that were best suited for us. Both my husband and I have taken surfing lessons before, but this is the first time that we both were able to get up on our boards for more than a few seconds and feel the rush of riding the waves! Having a private tour with Max meant that we were able to get a lot of one on one attention, which really helped us take our skills to the next level. We ended our day at a great local taco spot, before Max drove us back to our hotel. Would highly recommend!

Overall, we cannot recommend Good Trips Baja enough! My fiancé had surprised me with a one-day local-guided surf expedition during our stay in San Jose Del Cabo. Max was an amazing host and new the lay of the land, in addition to, being flexible on where to go based on our differing skill/confidence levels. We were able to finish the day out with some local grub and cervezas and couldn't have had a better time. For anyone looking to see a more untouched side of the Baja coastline, 100% book your trip with Max!

I had a great surfing experience with Max. At first, the waves and waters were intense and intimidating for my skill level. However, Max offered to explore a different beach that would suit my skill level better. After the nice drive to our 2nd beach, i was able to get up and start surfing for real. Max is a great instructor and person. Super friendly and very knowledgeable on surfing and Cabo San Lucas area. Overall, I had a great experience with Max. I would highly recommend him if you want to learn to surf, or find crazy surfing spots for the more experienced.

Signed up for a day surf trip with Max. He picked my fiance and I up at our hotel in Cabo, and he had the vehicle stocked with beach chairs, a cooler, umbrellas, and had a board for the size I requested. He drove us to diffenent locations until we found a great surf spot. Surfed for several hours and had a blast! Wish I wouldve booked him for more than one day! Highly recommend!

Perfect day learning to surf with Max from Good Trips Baja. While Max is super laid back and fun, he is also punctual and customer-oriented. Max was awesome. My wife and I joined him for the day and it could not have been better. Great service, communication all the way up to our trip, excellent English, super clean car, great gear. I would consider him a friend now. Can't wait to go back. I'd like to spend more time in Cabo exploring and Max can make that happen.

I booked 2 days with Max and we got to surf some uncrowded spots at east cape. Max surfed with me and explained all the tricks of each spot, where the rocks where and how to get in and out of the water safely. He was on time for the early pick up and the rides on his suburban were really confortable. Totally recommended!

Do yourself a favor and hire Max to take you surfing or on some other activity. He has a fancy and comfortable Suburban and knows the area impeccably. We spent a day together and it was great. Took me surfing to multiple spots and he was a great surf guide. Highly recommend.

Easy long waves, no crowds, beautiful beach and warm water. Surfing could not be more easy. Many beaches to choose from, great service.

My teenage boys were stoked to surf, and Max lead the way. He came fully equipped with boards and took us to a great surf spot that was remote with very few surfers. He had chairs and umbrellas for myself and my husband. He had a lot of local knowledge, and gave the boys some great pointers for improving their surfing. Both of my boys had the longest rides they have ever had. They had a blast. He also took us to a great lunch spot on the beach (Shade) it was the best tacos we had on our trip. Would totally book Max again!

Max was an excellent surf instructor and had plenty of knowledge to share about the area as we drove in from Cabo. He was able to accommodate a booking error I made, and his shrimp taco suggestion was so good I went back! I wanted to check out his hiking trip, but unfortunately, did not have time. Hope to do so on my next trip to Cabo!

Amazing day going to 4 different breaks, wherever was best at the that point in the day. We drove down to a remote area and surfed great, uncrowded waves. There were a bunch of donkeys which we fed and I hopped on one for a bit, which was fun. We had an awesome lunch at a great spot overlooking one of the breaks. Max also hooked up board rentals for later in my trip and drove to where I was staying to drop off the boards and pick them up, which was super nice. It was a great time!

I booked 2 days for surf trips with Max. I am a rusty intermediate surfer. Max put me in waves that were perfect for my skill level. I forgot how much I love surfing. Max did a great job of giving us facts and details about Cabo and surrounding areas. He gave us great recommendations for places to eat. And took us for a short tour of San Jose on our way back from surfing. He was on time, delivered the surfing experience I needed and is a genuinely good person. Great experience and highly recommend.

I had an amazing time with Max and the other participants on our day trip out to Cerritos. Max was a great and patient instructor, and spent time making sure all of us built some skills, whether or not we were able to actually stand up! Max focussed on each individual's needs and showed us all a great time. Just getting out of the city was worth it alone, and the drive along the coast was beautiful. Max is a great instructor and a cool guy to spend the day with. Ask him to take you for the best fish tacos afterwards in Cerritos! The Surf Tours Baja day trip was my favourite part of my trip to Cabo San Lucas. If I end up returning, I'll definitely be going on one of Max's tours again! Thanks for the memorable day.
