The crew and customer service is amazing, our guide Baptiste was marvelous , very informative, knowledgeable of the place. We went to Pelican Rock on a perfect time, not many people, and then to Whale Head. Both spots are great, love the boat they have and our captain Salo and crew onboard work out as a great team!!!!

Great experience overall. All staff interactions were friendly and professional. They had the best dive boat I've ever been in. Large, clean, and in great shape. Our group only had five or six divers so this large boat had loads of room to spread out and to place personal belongings. We dove Pelican Rock and, I believe, Blow Hole. Was able to exceed 100 feet in both dives. Water temps in early September were 88F - 85F. The first site was full of life including rays, lobsters, a variety of small and larger fish, schools of sardines, etc. The second one wasn't as exciting but we did see a humpback whale from the boat as we were about to jump into the water. All equipment worked as expected. They had water, snacks, and sandwiches available during surface intervals. Would definitely recommend this dive shop.
Dove with Eduardo, he is very relaxed and knowledgeable on the dive sites. Boats are in good condition and the Captain was skilled and attentive.great dives at Pelican rock and whales head.
Everything was great. Baptiste our guide was very knowledgeable and thorough. He really knows his stuff. I felt safe and comfortable with him. Thank you so much. Will be back!
Great experience. I was able to book a private tour on the same day. Lis helped me getting all set up before I even left my hotel. Karla was my dive master and she was fantastic.
Maybe expectations were too high!? I had an amazing experience with Manta earlier in the week diving The Marine preserve at Pelican Rock. The 2 tank dive with the corridor was quite disappointing- little, to no, marine life. Poor visibility. Probably the most frustrating part was the poor communication on WhatsApp They were very quick to send options and encourage to book, tbut did not repo and well to questions or clarifications It seemed the desire to book and fill the boat was paramount. Our guide Baptise was excellent and seemed relieved that we saw some whales on the way back from the corridor dive- which he was hoping saved the trip. Lesson that I learned/future tip … get into conversation on WhatsApp lots in advance and clarify details. The same for email
Great experience with Manta Scuba Diving. They were organized, experienced, and helpful. They have a new big boat so we had plenty of room to spread out as well as room for dry storage of our towels, etc. There was even an on board bathroom (rare for dive boats). We were very happy with the staff and will definitely be back. Highly recommend Manta Scuba Diving!
We were a mix of different experience divers who dove the 2 tank dives for 3 days and had a great time. DMs Kosta and Jesus were very helpful and attentive while we were diving with them as they have great energy and a love of diving. Sylvia was another DM on the boat one day and she took time to help our group too. Great operation with very friendly people working there. Highly recommend!
Manta diving has super professional staff and quality rental equipment. I have had the pleasure of diving with them multiple times over the past 2 months. They have a great shop, knowledgeable staff, and quality boats and equipment. The diving in Cabo has a great deal of diversity and a plethora of sea life. Dive guides are top notch and professional.
My husband and I because scuba certified this year and have dived in Florida, Italy and now in Mexico and this dive has been the best one yet! We had Jesus as our private guide and he was so informative and very patient with us. He was also a fabulous cameraman for us since we had our GoPro. HIGHLY would recommend this tour!
My daughter and I did a 2 tank private dive with Caesar (dive master) and Flash (captain). They were fantastic, and the dive was great. High quality, well-maintained equipment. We dove Pelican Rock, and at Lands End near Lovers’ Beach. We saw a manta ray, a big sea turtle, several octopi, and obviously millions of tropical fish. Caesar and Flash were super friendly and knowledgeable. Next time we’re in Cabo we will definitely use Manta again.
Had a great two tank dive with Manta Divers. Jesus (Chuy) was our guide and Capt Sola captained the boat. We went to Pelican Rock and Whale's Head. It was our first Nitrox dive and Jesus was the consummate professional. We went through all of our checks carefully before our dive. He found the most amazing wildlife -- two white tipped sharks sleeping, a moray eel, and even a school of cow nosed mantas that swam by. Chuy held on to our Go Pro and got some great videos and photos of our whole family diving. On our second dive, my husband and son had issues with their masks and Jesus was extremely helpful -- even trading masks with my son. When aboard the boat, Jesus proactively showed us why their masks were fogging up and helped burn off some of the new mfr silicone that remained. This dive show was professional, so thoughtful and considerate and most importantly, safe.
Had an incredible two days of diving with Manta. Our dive masters, Angela and Eduardo, were great. Very knowledgeable and respectful of the reefs, and truly loved what they do, while also prioritizing safe diving. We are seasoned OW divers, but there were AOW and certified but needing a refresher on our trips. They balanced the skill levels really well and were very patient- especially when needing to just dust some rust off on the first dive while we get our weight and buoyancy adjusted. We plan to come back to Cabo in the next few months and will absolutely dive once again with Manta.
We dove with Manta 7 times over three days. We connected with our guide, Martin, right away. He was super knowledgeable about the area and took his time to make sure we were comfortable and prepared. We dove the reserve and the corridor as well as got out for one night dive (well worth it if you have the time. It was a beautiful experience). This was a top tier experience for us. The boats were great and all the staff and captains were so welcoming. Our captains, Jimmy and Flash were excellent, always right where we needed them and ready to help. If you’re looking to dive in the area, this is the operation for you. Thank you to everyone at Manta for making our anniversary trip so special!!
Engaged over phone, super straight forward, crew helped me select the right tour for me. I chose the morning expedition to Cabo marine park. Met crew 8am, did the prep together, gear review, met the guide and got on the boat. Good quality gear. The dive locations are less than 10min away from the coast. Jesus Aguirre, my guide was customer centric and friendly and made sure I saw every highlight. Super calm and professional, spoke many languages fluidly. The sea life is AMAZING: sea lions, sharks, an abysm wall, sand "waterfalls", tropical colourful fish, large shoals/packs of fish, huge lobsters, hidden octopus and a lot of eels living in their caves. Visibility was perfect, even in a cloudy day after the rain.
Best dive shop we’ve been out with. Knowledgeable, very safety conscious, accommodating, personable and funny crew (all perfect English). Better boats than other groups we considered (we saw those guys out on the water). Guides Baptiste, Angela, Eduardo all fabulous! My wife and I will definitely be going out with this group next time we come.
Martin and the staff at Manta was absolutely fantastic! My nephew and I felt super comfortable! There was some coral but mostly on the rock formations. We saw a ton of sea life! We will be back in December and have already booked our dives with them!
Very professional and knowledgeable guides. We did a morning dive and a night dive. Both guides and office staff were friendly and helpful.
Amazing service with the captain and Baptist! Best guide and captain experience we have ever had. Great staff at the shop too. They even cleaned some personal gear and recommended an amazing restaurant for lunch. Very personal experience.
My cousin and I dove with Baptista and Martin. They were the jam! It was Martin’s first day and he saved my life, so you know he’s a pro. Pelican Rock was a little rough for me as a beginner, but WhaleHead was super calm with loads to see. We saw eagle rays, baby sharks, lobster, nudibranches, eels, puffer fish and so many kinds of fish, I can’t even name them all. Highly recommend Manta. And if you see Martin, tell him thanks for saving me.
Staff was unmatched, top notch. We did 4 dives 2 Saturday and 2 Sunday. Sunday, we were her only customers, Mercedes, our dive guide, and John, boat driver and equipment guide, did not cancel on us. My wife was a novice, with 4 dives, the staff, Mercedes, our dive guide from Manta, was so patient and understanding. Facilities are lacking a bit, small and no shower, but, equipment was good, all in all, a great experience.
I took the PADI Open Water course, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. From the moment I contacted them via WhatsApp, they helped me with everything I needed to pay for the course, as I live in another city. Communication was super quick, and they made me feel very confident. The reception staff was very friendly, always with the best attitude to answer questions and lend a hand. They took us to beautiful locations full of marine life, making the experience unforgettable. Plus, the boats always had water and some snacks to keep you comfortable during the trips, which was a great touch. I really appreciated that they help you select all the equipment you need before starting. If you’re unsure about sizes or what to use, the staff is there to guide you and ensure everything fits perfectly and you feel comfortable. The entire team was always attentive to anything you needed, whether in the water or at the shop, making you feel very cared for and safe. The instructors and guides are highly trained, very patient, and make sure you understand everything before moving forward. The captains are also very professional and always ready for any situation. I highly recommend Manta to anyone wanting to start scuba diving. You don’t just learn; you live an amazing experience with a team that truly cares about you. I would definitely return!
We couldn’t get a dive date with a certain company and picked Manta instead. Best decision ever! Kev the divemaster was fun, patient and very knowledgeable. I’ve been a certified diver for over 30 years but only dive now maybe once a year now and he helped me get acclimated with patience. He was knowledgeable about the location of various fish and other sea creatures. I didn’t interact with the other DM however she was equally nice and professional. I really can’t wait to return to Cabo and when I do, I will only dive with this company!!!
I have been diving with Manta for 20 years! Always professional safe and incredibly friendly. Highly recommended. Dove 4 times in 5 days and every day they were excellent.
The crew and dive masters at Manta are top notch. The dive briefings are well explained. The dive masters do a great job keeping the group together and pointing out sea life during the dive. Handling and setup of the dive equipment is frictionless. I would recommend Manama if you want to dive while in Cabo.
We dove with Manta for 3 separate days and had a phenomenal experience. On day 1 we did the 2 dive combo in the reserve with an add on night dive. Our guides were Loris for the 2 tank day dive and Baptiste for the night dive. They were both knowledgeable and patient with me (I have difficulty equalizing) and another diver in our group who was a bit apprehensive about the night dive. On our second day we did the day trip to La Paz to snorkel with the whale sharks. Our guide Jesus was phenomenal! We first stopped for breakfast at a local restaurant on our way to La Paz. He explained Baja California culture and food and shared stories about his own experiences that added to the experience. In La Paz we encountered numerous whale sharks and Jesus led us with enthusiasm and respect for the animals. We also snorkeled with a sea lion colony and had a delicious lunch on a private beach. On day 3 we did a two tank dive in the marine reserve (dive 1) and the corridor (dive 2). Our guide Polo was also patient and knowledgeable and gave us a great experience. We dove on 4 different boats and all were clean and the captains got us to and from our sites safely. The office staff was also very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend Manta for all of your diving needs.
I had signed up for a refresher scuba diving along with the combo dive as I had not done a dive in a year. My instructor was Angela, I did not have a good experience with her. She went through the instructions very quickly and did not seem to care too much on being my instructor. There was another dive instructor for two other divers who came with us on the boat. He was attentive to his divers and giving a lot of details about their dive etc The boat driver Johnathan was also very helpful. I don’t think I will dive with Manta again
The Manta team, and Angela especially, led my husband and me on 4 great dives in the Cabo Marine Park (Pelican Rock, Neptune’s Finger, and Land’s End) and Corridor (Blow Hole). We added the “Refresher” option to our first morning (my husband is recently certified and my last dive was ~2 years ago) and really appreciated the extra attention and care from Angela to get us comfortable with our rental gear and in this new environment! Well worth a little extra time and $40. The Cabo/Corridor combo package was great for seeing two sites and getting a nice boat ride (tip: the combo package sandwiches are tasty, but communicate dietary needs in advance as they are all ham and turkey), but the Corridor visibility and marine activity wasn’t as good as the Marine Park, so our second morning we did two tanks in the Marine Park and it was a great choice! We saw HUNDREDS of rays (mostly cow nose, but also mobula rays, one mobula japanica, one spotted eagle ray), moray eels, a white tip reef shark, sea lions, and so many fish!
We had a wonderful 2-tank combo dive to the Corridor and Cabo reserve this week. The shop is very professional (and a short walk to the boat), rental gear was great and we can't say enough about our divemaster, Angela. We don't dive often and Angela made the entire experience so enjoyable. She assisted us on the boat with our dive plan/equipment and really put us at ease in the water to enjoy some great dives so close to the harbor. We both highly recommend Manta and plan on returning soon!
What an amazing experience! I had not been diving in two years and did a refresher course with Manta / Julio. I booked three days of diving with Manta. The biodiversity of the area is amazing, and I was in good hands with Julio and Angela as I rediscovered my passion for diving and worked on some skills. Julio was especially amazing on the trip to Gordon Banks. If you are new to deep diving or it has been a minute, ask them about hiring a personal guide for this trip. I learned that hammerheads are shy and he helped me to stay calm while we observed these amazing creatures.
Brandon was my dive master. We had spoken before the dives about what I hoped to see. He pointed out almost everything that we had chatted about. The vis was ok, it’s September and storms pass thru, but still good dives. A big thank it you to all of those on the boat and in the shop.
I spent a week with Manta, and got my Advanced Open Water certification with them. Great people, equipment, and dives. I felt safe, and I had a great time! I dove with Chuy (Jesus), Baptiste, and Paulo. Terrific team all around! Make sure you do the night dives around Pelican Rock, and check out how different the Corridor is from the bay. Thanks, Manta!
The Manta staff are excellent professional and Jesus the dive master was great. He attended to all needs and was very interactive with divers. Diving was very good but not like the Caribbean. Visibility is around 23-30 feet. There is a lot to see with marine life. Water temp are cooler and need a 7mm wetsuit. Very enjoyable experience. Would not hesitate to do it again.
These guys always do a great job. Easy to book. They stick to the schedule. Their equipment is great. Boats are clean with plenty to eat and drink. EVERYONE knows what they are doing. The guides are smart, mature, capable and speak great English. Brandon did a great job with us and jumped all over it when I had a little issue on our dive. Just a 100% class business.
Their equipment is really good. We rented everything from them. Everything was really clean. The boat was big and really nice too. The guides were definitely experts. Landsend was an excellent dive spot. We had a dive master friend with us and she approved. We recommend them.
I booked two days both two tank dives and was a little nervous to go out without someone else I knew but as soon as I got to the shop and was introduced to my dive masters my nerves were calmed! Everyone was exceptionally nice, welcoming and catered to all types of divers! The equipment was excellent the boat was big and spacious and never over crowded even with multiple groups diving. The team not only put our safety first but also made it so much fun on and off the boat! All instructors were Top Notch and I would definitely dive with any of them again! Anya :)
Pollo was great with Manta. He will take good care of you. This was my first dive in the ocean after getting my certification. I had a great time
This is a great dive operation in Cabo. Their shop is easy find and easy to get to. They have several boats, all well-equipped and in good condition. Everyone was very pleasant and professional. The water here is a little chilly in May. 70 degrees and the surface and a serious thermocline at 50 ft and another at 70. I packed a 3mm suit and was a little cold. A 5m would have been perfect. A good would have been nice too. Visibility was good and there was a lot of life to see. I only had time to dive one day. Would seriously consider coming back for a longer dive trip. I’d like to call out Divemaster Baptiste for being a great guide. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. And Miro, a Divemaster in training. Both of these guys were great and helped make it an outstanding trip.
I highly recommend Manta Scuba from the following points: - Safety, Pre-dive plan, Divemaster Expertise and friendliness, boat space, dive locations. Looking forward to diving with them again - keith Inman
Seven dives over three days. Lots of great memories. Super knowledgeable and helpful guides (Go Angela! Go Gabo!), boat captain and crew. But you can tell the whole organization pitches in to make things run safe, smart and right.
Baptist was a great guide! He explained everything very well and I had a great time. I was able to see moray eels and two ship wrecks and the sand falls were very nice.
Very good experience overall, Italian tour guide particularly good, returned in the afternoon for a 3rd private dive
We had an absolutely incredible 2 days of diving with Manta Scuba! From the start, everything was smooth. Becky and Diana from the reservations team were very prompt and helpful in the communication leading up to the dive. The diving experience itself was wonderful! The entire divemaster team is very well staffed as the ratio of divemasters to divers was very low - there were roughly 3 people to one divemaster, so everyone was very well attended to. We dove with Sebastian one day and Nahuel the next day. Both were exceptional. They provided a lot of advice and support to some of the divers in my group who had some trouble with equalization, which was very nice. They also both spotted some unique marine life underwater. Thank you so much Sebastian and Nahuel! During the dives, we got to see the famous Cabo arch and over 4 humpback whales (we also heard them underwater!!) - which were nice bonuses! Thanks for a great experience! We are definitely recommending Manta Scuba to all of our dive friends and hope to return!
Manta Scuba is terrific. We took 4 dives with them in two days. The guides and boat captains are incredible and the diving spots are excellent. We preferred diving the corridor above the marine park ( much less crowded) but both were excellent. The captain stopped in the morning for us to watch a humpback breaching over and over. We will come back and dive with them again soon.
I love Manta! First day we did the snorkeling tour with Loris and captain Pedro. Loris from Italy is so passionate about the ocean and you can tell how much he loves it, which made me more excited and love it too. Second day I got to dive with Cesar, who was extremely kind, helpful, and fun to be with. Everyone’s English is great and they are truly friendly and approachable. A fresh breath of air compared to all the aggressive salesmen in Cabo. I liked the small, intimate groups and individual attention we received. We got to see so much in the water - sea turtles, manta ray, sting ray, flounder, white tipped reef shark, moray eels, gigantic lobster and pufferfish, huge schools of fish, sea lion. I think the only things we didn’t see were whales and octopi. Water was warm, medium current. Truly so grateful for this beautiful and memorable experience and I hope I can come back soon! Thank you Manta team and Loris and Cesar!
We planned to dive with Manta 3 days but ended up adding a 4th on because they were so fantastic. The rental equipment was excellent which hasn’t always been our experience in Mexico. They were easy to coordinate with and plan our stay. We had a great experience and would certainly book with Manta again if we head back to Cabo.
These guys were very professional, welcoming, knowledgeable, and safe. I felt very taken care of and would highly recommend to anyone looking to scuba wether new to diving or not. Would go again!!!
Great experience with Manta Diving last week. It had been a few years since I'd been diving, so I did the refresher and two tank combo. Baptiste was my instructor, great guy, excellent instructor....made the day fun and informative. I will definitely stop in again when I come back to Cabo.
We had a fantastic dive experience with Manta. Big thanks to Sabastian, our dive master, and Flash, for making this such a great experience. We did 1 dive in the Marine park by the famous Arch and saw rays, huge eals, a lobster, and a large grouper. (I know you often see sea lions here but it want the season). We did the second dive on the corridor and saw eel, rays, and sea turtles. This is all in addition the to numerous large tropical fish that are surprisingly comfortable with humans around. The crew took complete care of us with water, cookies, and sandwiches. There was a great ratio of staff to divers. The operation is very organized and well run.
I joined Manta to dive at Marine Park (19-May-2023) and the Corridor (19-May-2023). Everything from the beginning (booking) of the dive to the end was perfect and easy. Angela was a great dive master and videographer lol. My gopro battery died but she had hers, and was able t share her photos and videos with me. They have a great team there and the lunch tacos were good. I brought most of my equipment but had to use their wet suits due to the colder water. There was a lot of wild life and the current was strong in the corridor but manageable. Definitely diving with them again when I come back.
