We are nearing turns of a week at Valencia (Sept. 13-20, 2026). The resort is incredibly beautiful, the lazy river is both fun and relaxing. Coming this time of year means there’s not very many other people competing for chairs and we spent most of the time at the infinity pool at the beachfront during the days. I think it’s a very popular area but because it’s slower, there were a wee seats to be found. The food from the Poole menu is decent, we tried pizza, guacamole, salsa, and chips, hamburger, tacos, and wings, and spinach salad.. Everything was good quality and fairly tasty. One of things that really stands out for me is the activity hosts and the types of activities. Lots of different kinds of games that you could just made if you liked.(Bingo, Music trivia, Mexican bingo, Uno, Blackjack, Aqua fit and lazy river exercise class walking against the current). We found it all fairly fine and if you didn’t want to participate, it didn’t really take over the whole situation. The two activity hosts that really made things great were Dani and Enrique As well as a young woman who also posted one of the activities. We don’t know her name, but she was fantastic too. They make you feel very at home and it’s easier to participate because they put everyone at ease.. Although all of The staff from the bartenders in the Lobby lounge to the servers around the pool and the servers in the restaurants were all very accommodating and friendly activity hosts stand out as a reason to come.

Unfortunately, my recent stay at this resort was disappointing, especially compared with previous experiences. The overall level of service has noticeably declined, and it felt like the resort has lost the attention to detail and hospitality that you would expect from a property of this caliber. The biggest issue was the lack of air conditioning in the restaurants. Trying to sit down and enjoy a meal in an extremely hot and uncomfortable environment was unacceptable. Dining should be one of the more enjoyable parts of a resort experience, but the heat made it difficult to relax and enjoy the food. What made matters worse was the attitude of some of the staff. Many employees appeared unhappy, disengaged, and as though they simply didn't care about the guest experience. There was also no manager or senior management visibly available on-site to address concerns or provide assistance when needed. I understand that things can go wrong at any resort, but what matters is how management responds and takes care of its guests. Unfortunately, that level of attention was missing during my stay. I hope management takes these concerns seriously because this resort has the potential to provide a great experience, but the current level of service and overall guest experience needs significant improvement. Based on this stay, I would have a difficult time recommending the resort or returning in the future.
We stayed here for a “side quest” for one night so we could use the lazy river during our Cabo trip. This place will nickle and dime you for every. single. thing. Apparently a one bedroom with a pullout couch in the living room doesn’t imply that 4 people will stay there, only 2, so of course you’ll pay extra for the other 2. You also don’t learn until many receipts later that the tip is already included for everything - we ended up double tipping on a few things, which ended up being fine because the pool service staff is great and deserve it, but it’d be nice to be aware beforehand. Additionally, if we hadn’t asked at dinner at the steakhouse, we would’ve paid hundreds more for our bill. When we asked if tip was included the waiter said “a small amount is”…that small amount is 15% and with most people tipping 20%, you’re likely to tip ~35% on every bill if you’re not aware. Virgin drinks are also the same cost as alcoholic, which is insane. The rooms themselves are decent but for a 5-star hotel, I’d expect them not to smell musty. The pullout sheets were also damp, which was disconcerting. Overall, I was not super impressed by this hotel, especially for the price you pay…and continue to pay and pay and pay. Again, the only saving grace were the staff.
This was an absolute awesome resort to stay at. The rooms were great and all of the staff were awesome. I had the pleasure of having pool side servers like Alessandro, Fernando, and Alma who all did amazing. They would learn what drinks we liked and bring them as they noticed ours were getting low. They were all very personable and attentive. The entertainment crew who ran things like aqua fit classes etc were awesome too. I did not get the other gentleman’s name who was very nice, but Daniel went above and beyond at his job. He is clearly loved by everyone, but he would go out his way when we were there to come see my son and niece and play different games or activities with them. One day he made paper boats to race, bottle cap races, water balloons, and much more. Our house keeper for the majority of the stay was Iris and she was super attentive and sweet ensuring our room stayed in great condition throughout the stay. At the pool when it got really busy there was an obvious wait for food and drinks, but that was to not fault of the staffs and hopefully most understand that. The only suggestion I would have is to try and keep up on stocking towels a little better, especially when it’s packed outside. Outside of that we have no complaints about our stay though and would highly recommend it! I can’t wait to eventually go back and I’m super grateful my first trip out of the country was such an awesome experience.
Our stay at Villa La Valencia Beach Resort & Spa was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The resort is stunning, with beautiful ocean views, immaculate grounds, and luxurious accommodations that made our vacation truly memorable. The staff were exceptional—friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure we had a wonderful experience. Every interaction felt genuine and welcoming. The food was outstanding, with a great variety of dining options and high-quality ingredients. We also loved the pools, especially the lazy river, which was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The spa was another highlight, offering a peaceful and rejuvenating experience. If you're looking for a luxurious getaway in Los Cabos with top-notch service, amazing amenities, and breathtaking scenery, Villa La Valencia is an excellent choice. We can't wait to return!
