My daughter booked this tour as a birthday gift for me - and when I chatted about it to her later she wished she'd booked herself on it too! Becky was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the subject and really captured my attention the whole afternoon. She answered every question and expanded on any detail as it came up. It was a really informative and fun afternoon! I would thoroughly recommend the tour to everyone - including men! I shall definitely be booking my daughter and myself onto another - and any of the others that Becky "cooks up"!! Thank you Becky!

I booked the Women of Bloomsbury tour to do with my mum for her birthday and we loved it! Becky was a brilliant tour guide, so engaging and knowledgeable. We learnt about so many interesting and important women, most of whom we had never heard of before. Becky brought these women and their untold stories to life. My daughter gave me this walking tour as a gift and I was immediately delighted and intrigued. The guide was incredibly well informed and obviously loved her subject. We had often walked past many of the buildings but had no idea of their importance in the story of women’s lives. We would definitely recommend, what a great gift!

My friend invited me on this tour as her original friend was unable to go - her loss was my gain! Such an interesting tour around Bloomsbury learning so much about some of the influential women of the area in history. They weren't recognised at the time but since have had statues & blue plaques placed as a tribute to their achievements eg Medicine, Writing, Suffragettes, Freedom to name a few! Becky is an excellent guide and is so passionate about womens history and its sometimes forgotten place in the London landscape. I felt very inspired by the end of the tour to book up for another tour with my daughter.

Such a fascinating part of town and so much history around every corner. To hear only the women's stories and stop at the statues and plaques of women is just wonderful. We didn't learn any women's history when I went to school. So lovely to catch up on some stories while taking Women of London's tours.

If you’re a history buff with a Demi ist bent, take this tour! Matilda was a fabulous guide - exceptionally articulate and well-prepared. I really enjoyed learning g about all the interesting, intellectual women making inroads into various male only professions. You really get an excellent feel for The New Woman emerging around 1900. I will look up this friendly, smart, woman tun tour company again when I visit London next!

What a unique, interesting, and fun experience! I was introduced to important women I’d never heard of, and learned new things about some I already knew about. With a nice walk around the neighborhood. Matilda was incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the topic. I would definitely do one of their other tours if I was here for longer — something to look forward to for my next visit!

Becky was brilliant. This is the second walking tour I have been on with Women of London, and another couple joined us on the tour who have also booked a whole series of tours with them too! If this doesn’t tell you how great they are, then what will?! Becky is knowledgeable, and tells the stories of the women and areas with incredible storytelling skills. She isn’t just reciting a script, she genuinely knows and cares. I would certainly recommend (and have been!)

I highly recommend this tour also to men! I have visited London many times, and this tour enabled me to see a familiar part of London through a different lens. Matilda is very knowledgeable and a great storyteller. She has deep knowledge of history and literature, which we were able to enjoy when asking follow-up questions. There are so many amazing women in history who don't get the acknowledgment they deserve. Truly inspiring!

My husband and I took this walking tour and loved it! Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, and a great story teller. We learned about history, architecture, entertainment, and most of all women! We've been in that neighborhood dozens of times - but were able to see it through a new lens. Highly recommend for locals and tourist alike!

I truly enjoyed the tour and our guide Becky. She's very knowledgeable and passionate about the women we discussed. I learned about some women I had not heard of and got to see where some of the ones I was already familiar with lived. It's very refreshing to learn about the important contributions of women in history when so much of the narrative is dominated by men!

This was a wonderful tour. Becky is an enthusiastic & very well-informed guide who is clearly passionate about her subject. I thought I knew Bloomsbury well but saw it from a completely different perspective with this tour. There were only 3 of us with Becky so it made it a very intimate & enjoyable experience. This was an incredible tour. Our tour guide Matilda told us detailed and interesting details of each part of town. I had walked through the neighborhood several times and had no idea what history and stories I was missing.

We went on the Women of Bloomsbury Walking Tour with Becky as our tour guide. The tour was well structured with stops at various locations with a story. The stories were very amazing windows on to the lives and achievements of individual women living and working in the area. Becky was very animated and knowledgeable and held our attention for the whole tour. A great experience.

This was the second walking tour we’ve taken with Women of London and it was, as anticipated, excellent. (We took the Working Women of the East End walking tour a year ago and loved it so much that we booked the Women of Bloomsbury tour for this trip as soon as we saw it.) Becky, our guide for both tours, is friendly, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. Her skilled storytelling, humor, and passion for the subject matter is infectious.

Charlotte was an informative and passionate guide, who was very knowledgeable about the women spotlighted on the tour (and many others besides!) We did the Women of Bloomsbury walking tour and it was fabulous. Our guide was very knowledgeable and her presentation style was engaging and fun. My tour of Bloomsbury was fantastic and unique! Charlotte really knows her stuff. The Tour was very expansive with lots of historical detail and stories. A wonderful way to get to know the neighborhood and learn about the women know you and most importantly the stories and women you don't know!

Ten out of five! I learnt so much with information delivered in an interactive, animated, informed beyond the brief and ultra stimulating way. These waking tours are just simply the best. I cannot praise them highly enough, this one being my second. The third and fourth are also in the process of being booked.

Excellent tour! Becky, our guide (also the owner of the small company that creates and runs this tour) was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of London and women’s history. The tour is all about women, which is awesome, but you also learn so much about London’s history and the history of the neighborhoods you pass through. It also gave me the opportunity to see some posh, beautiful neighborhoods I’d never passed through before even while living in London as a student. We had 3 people (2 women & 1 man) on our tour, so it was nice and intimate, and Becky fielded a bunch of questions on a wide variety of topics like a pro! Really can’t say enough good things about this tour!! Do be prepared to walk (bring an umbrella and dress appropriately as you’ll be outside the entire time). Also, the tour is very substantive. Likely not great for children, but would be ok for a brainy middle schooler or high school student. Tour ends in the very pretty Gordon Sq. Park, which is well-situated to nearby restaurants and transport.

I thoroughly recommend this tour! A fascinating insight into the lives and achievements of some of London's most interesting women, many of whom are largely forgotten but whose achievements live on. It's also a great opportunity to explore a beautiful part of town and is well situated for transport and other amenities. Becky is hugely knowledgeable, great at bringing history to life and flexible to adapt her approach based on the audience.
