Windsor Castle Tour From London With Transportation & Audio Guide

So much to see in the castle and surrounding shops. Another visit will be needed to take it in. Too easy to miss getting the headphones which are a must

I assumed that since the Tour said it finished at 5 that it meant we would return at the end location at 5 , not that it would start returning from Castle at 5. Since it took an hour to return( which was fine) it made us almost late for a concert and skipped dinner as a result. We were happy for that extra hour of touring so we wouldn’t have to rush through the tour, but I wouldn’t have booked an additional event had I known. Loved the tour—magnificent; Loved our bus driver—so fun.

While our bus driver Marius Dumas was a very experienced driver and escorted us to the main entrance to the castle, he was very difficult to understand. He did speak English but with a very heavy accent and especially in the bus he couldn’t always be understood. Perhaps having a driver that didn’t have such a heavy accent would have been more enjoyable.

Great experience but using Golden tours was deflating . Very boring tour guide / bus driver . You could barely understand his direction as the Mike would cut in and out . Castle was amazing but more time would have been nice to explore the town of Windsor . Quite expensive for what we did . Next time I would take the train in and stay for the day . Golden tours employees don’t seem happy and it is evident with the interaction we came across . We have taken many tours using Viator and this is the first disappointment in service we have had . Windsor Castle was awesome and I am truly happy to have made it there .

Great afternoon trip to Windsor Castle with Golden Tours. Our group was small - 26 people. Our guide walked us up to the entrance of Windsor & ensured we knew what time to meet back up. Self-guided audio tour through property. Plenty of time to explore (about 3 hours). Highly recommend for an afternoon short day trip to Windsor Castle

Definitely need to be aware of the fact when you get to Windsor Castle, it’s a long walk to get in and it’s all uphill so if you have any walking challenges, you’re gonna struggle to do this excursion. We had several women that ended up sitting on a bench and buying lunch because they couldn’t get up there. No help was offered.

Eileen was a very knowledgeable tour guide. I learned a lot about Windsor Castle from her. What a castle! It was nice to be able to see the gardens too. She gave us plenty of time to see the highlights. It was a small group tour. Mavis was our fantastic coach driver.

There was no guide on the bus and the driver did not speak English well. We were not prepared in any way for our tour, we shouldhave just taken the train to Windsor Castle. The bus was full and I could not sit with my family. Viator she refund my money.

Golden Tours is and excellent tour group in London. We did the Tower of London with hop on and hop off bus. We also did the Windsor trip. Our driver/guide Kee was extremely helpful getting us into Windsor and giving us landmarks to find the bus. The tour ended close to Harrods

Do this tour in fall or winter time as it is too hot inside and out of the castle. Not enough time to linger and visit some shops outside of the castle.

Had a quick drive to Windsor. Directed to the entry and Castle was fine. Needed some attention to managing a group. Otherwise was a good experience.

Upgrade to get seats at the front and the box lunch! Definitely worth it. Trip was great!! We thoroughly enjoyed it

This review is for the bus operator for excursion on The Windsor Castle half day on Saturday June 6. He is very knowledgeable and provide tips for London and Windsor área. He accompanied us until the entrance to the castle to make sure we do not get lost. Great tour highly recommended

While the castle part was nice, the driver must have been new. He appeared to be afraid to drive the bus ; never going over 40 miles an even though the speed limit was 60. Often driving in the middle of the lane like he was not sure of how to keep the bus in the lane. Also he seemed more interested in telling us what was around than getting us to the castle.

Easy trip to Windsor. The driver was very polite and provided clear instructions. The ticket process was smooth.

Guide was wonderful and knowledgeable. Bus broke down so we lost an hour at the castle. Driver did give us extra half hour at end but still felt rushed. Got lost trying to find way back to bus at end of day. A map would be beneficial!

Armando our bus driver made the tour enjoyable. He also at the gave us a stellar dinner tip for the restaurant Da Mario which was great.

The chapel closes at 4;00- we weren’t told ahead of time and thus missed it.The audio guides were very good and the staff great at answering questions.BUT we felt the time allotted was too short.ESPECIALLY for the price.I wish we had known the train from London was so direct and easy ( plus much! less expensive)we would have been able to enjoy our visit.It felt very rushed.

Fun half day! Good bus trip to Windsor castle. Was great to see Castle and hear about it thru audio guide. Thought it was a bit expensive at 90£.

The bus was comfortable, but Kiran, our bus driver was fantastic! He provided a narrated tour on the way to the castle and was very friendly, personable and definitely professional!

Great communication from the beginning with Golden Tours. Plenty of updates and reminders and information. The meeting point was easy to find with instructions provided. My only criticism would be there should be at least somewhere to buy water etc from the check in as we had to go back out to the not so nearest shop, so come prepared! We were lucky to have a beautiful day. Almondo our driver was funny and friendly and gave us interesting points of interest as we passed them on the journey out. He was efficient at getting us in, clear and instructive on timings for the day and considerate at the end as to us all being knowledgeable about travel onwards after the tour. Highly recommended.

After a cancellation, re-booking then a 45-minute late start because of "technical difficulties" which turned out to be the initial bus driver didn't show up, the trip was quite nice. Our bus driver told stories and provided history as we drove through London and out to Windsor, which was entertaining. The castle grounds are beautiful, especially the chapel. It was quite emotional to see the grave of Queen Elizabeth II. I would recommend this trip.

Windsor Castle is not to be missed. Inside the castle is absolutely wonderful. Definitely go with the bus tour. Was convenient and goid to seecthe countryside.

Our Uber driver took us to Victoria Station Coach depot. Cut it pretty close. Almost missed the tour. Our driver, Antonio, was superb. Our tour Warden/Docent, Jane was equal to the task.

Excellent trip out to Windsor, driven by the most excellent Edson. Lovely coach, got us safely there and back. The tour itself is the unguided tour, and we were able to see all of the spaces on offer. We had one person with mobility issues, and staff provided a chair for us to use. They were also amazing with ramps and lifts as needed.

Delightful afternoon at Windsor! The castle is amazingly beautiful and the little town lovely. Our driver Edson was outstanding!

Joe, our driver, was excellent and very attentive. He took us right to the entrance of Windsor Castle and gave us all the necessary instructions, including the pick-up time for the return bus. I recommend bringing only a small snack, as the time is limited. You’ll be able to see Windsor Castle and the chapel (note that it’s closed on Sundays). There isn’t extra time, but it’s enough for what the tour promises. Overall, a very good experience!

By the time you get in and have to leave you have about 2 hours which you will need to rush through to get it done. The tour come with a dining voucher which we didn’t get and we left at 5:00pm so was too early for dinner anyway. I suggest booking it on your own for this one.

Our bus driver was wonderful. He has been in London for 26 years and came from Albania. His detail and his communication, plus his concern for all the passengers were above and beyond

Armando was a great driver. He gave us history of london sights on the way to the castle. He is very friendly. He took the time to walk us to the castle and explain the way back to the bus. The castle was beautiful. Great experience.

The castle is beautiful. Especially the chapel and the inside rooms . Bus ride from London was easy. Don’t miss it!

Did not see enough inside the Castle. Were not allowed to take photos inside. ZOutsidr was lovely though

Excellent Tour with Zizi (spelling?) & driver Ashley. Everything timed perfectly, great commentary, & plenty of time at Windsor Castle & Hampton Court Palace.

No......just take an Uber......all this trip does is transportation. Certainly not worth the money! Instructions were inconsistent.....meeting times and places were different. Instructions were that pick up and drop off would be in same place. They were not.
