A beautiful drive through the fall tree lined country as we visited each place on the itinerary. We got the upgraded tickets that included entree and lunch. The reserved front seats on the bus are worth the upgrade! David is a great guide, knowledgeable, lots of dry humor, and feels the same way about Harry Potter as we do. Highly recommend this day tour.

Itinerary
This wonderful day trip will take you to two of the UK’s most iconic attractions and one of the world’s most famous – and charming – cities. Make sure you are at the meeting point for 7:30am as your coach will be leaving at 8am sharp!
You will get to the first stop of the day, Windsor Castle, for about 9:30am. This 900 year-old castle perches proudly on a lush wooded hill overlooking the Thames. With its sweeping landscaped gardens and imposing turret, It’s easy to see why Windsor Castle is loved by King Charles II.
At Windsor Castle, enjoy a fascinating through–the–keyhole peek at the lavish State Apartments, home to priceless artworks by Rembrandt and Leonardo da Vinci, and visit the beautifully gothic St. George’s Chapel, the atmospheric final resting place of former monarchs including Henry VIII and Elizabeth II. The coach will leave Windsor Castle at about 11:30am to move onto the next part of your adventure.
From a 900 year-old castle to a 5,000 year-old monument – you’ll be taking a step even further back in time when visiting Stonehenge, to which you will get to for about 1:15pm. The true meaning of this ancient, awe-inspiring creation has been lost in the mists of time. Was Stonehenge a temple for sun worship, a healing centre, a burial site or perhaps a huge calendar? How did our ancestors manage to carry the mighty stones from so far away and then, using only the most primitive of tools, build this amazing structure? Surrounded by mystery, Stonehenge never fails to impress.
For your last stop of the day – see the beautiful town of Oxford, known for being home to the English-speaking world’s oldest university. On this walking tour of Oxford, follow in the footsteps of Oxford’s famous students (such as C.S.Lewis and Bill Clinton) as you stroll through the captivating college courtyards and cobbled lanes of this historic university town.
Take in the famous ‘city of dreaming spires’ and see the Bodleian Library – one of the oldest libraries in Europe – on your visit. You’ll be captivated by the unspoilt narrow alleys and ancient squares of this charming place. Your coach will leave Oxford at about 5:45pm. The estimated arrival time back in London is around 7pm.

Kee and Jason were great! Showed up on time, kept us feeling safe, and Jason was hilarious as well! He told all sorts of stories that kept us entertained and constantly ensured we were together and no one would go missing. Great time! I wish we could spend more time with them!
Great guide, puts in loads of effort. Very friendly and customised the tour. We had Jason and Key.
I took the Oxford, Stonehenge & Windsor Castle tour with Golden Tours, and even though the weather was absolutely awful, I had such an amazing day! 🌧️ A huge shout-out to our fantastic tour guide, David, and our wonderful driver, Marius. They truly made the whole experience special! Both were incredibly kind, friendly, helpful, and funny. David was entertaining, knowledgeable, and made the journey enjoyable with his great sense of humour, while Marius drove us safely and smoothly throughout the entire trip. The weather may have been grey, cold, stormy, and rainy, but these two were the real sunshine of the day! ☀️ Their positive energy, warmth, and friendliness made me forget about the miserable weather and enjoy every moment. It’s people like David and Marius who turn an ordinary sightseeing trip into a truly memorable experience. They are a real credit to Golden Tours, and we couldn’t have asked for a better team. Thank you, David and Marius, for bringing so much sunshine to such a rainy day! I would absolutely recommend this tour, especially with these two amazing guys!
David and Mario were amazing. David’s historical knowledge and best practices when visiting the sites were a lifesaver and Mario was able to navigate the travels to ensure we had the time to visit each site. I would book with them both again.
David shared many stories and tips, which helped us reduce the time wasted in queues. The journey was very smooth.
This was a great day trip! it’s a long day but it’s worth it & our tour guide Jason was awesome & really knowledgeable about all the areas. He took the time to make sure we all knew where we were going and how to get back to where we needed to be & we saw a lot for one day. I would do it again!
Amazing day with guide Paulie and driver Elvio they were both amazing time at each stop was good!
A very nice itinerary and allocation of time for an overview of three notable sites and views of the countryside that nicely complements the London experience.
The problem with this experience was that we were given inaccurate information about the meeting point. Se arrived at Bullied Way to find out that our tour was leaving from a totally different location. When we called the offices a couple of days ahead of time, we were told that the tour director would send us a confirmation with the meeting point. We were told we could communicate with the tour director through the app and this didn’t happen. Overall a lot of miscommunication.
We loved this trip! Pauly was effectively structured, charming, knowledgable and funny: Our driver was safe and competent (easy to underestimate the importance of this factor). We LOVED Stonehenge. Some growth opportunities we offer for consideration. Please offer better signage or instructions regarding what to do upon arrival to the bus terminal. Pauly, you'd be 30% more effective by slowing your speech by 10%. Also, we would have liked a guide for Windsor Castle instead of having Pauly stay with the bus driver. And, please consider adding microphones and headsets for Pauly's tour of Oxford, between the fast talking and the size of the group it was often difficult to understand him. However, this was still a five star experience!
We appreciated seeing all three sites in one day but perhaps overly ambitious. As if happened, our tour was bilingual ( ie our guide switched back snd forth between two languages) which we were not informed of.
Tour and tour guide and driver was very good but bus was in pathetic condition. Seats were just uncomfortable screws everywhere and moreover no charging point worked in whole bus .
I had a memorable trip, expertly guided by Polly, the knowledgeable tour guide who shared fascinating local insights, and Kiran, the skilled driver who navigated the routes smoothly. Their professionalism and friendliness made the experience enjoyable and truly unforgettable.
Great tour, kept on schedule. The walk-around tour of Oxford was a pleasant surprise and the tour direct Dave knew a lot of info and details about the town and the University structure. Was well worth it.
We had an amazing experience with Golden Tours - our tour guide Pauli and driver Luci were amazing. Pauli was very knowledgeable about everything and very considerate. Luci got us to our destinations safely and in a timely manner. We had an adventurous day seeing some of England’s beauties.
It was wonderful. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. She gave an amazing guide to the sites we visited. Stonehenge, Windsor and Oxford.
Danica is an excellent guide and took great care of us. At each stop she made sure we knew where we were supposed to be and what time to return. At the end of the day she made sure we knew how to return to our hotel on the tube and offered ideas for supper and provided insight on things to do and see next day. Captain Amerish provided safe transport and we felt very safe with him at the wheel.
A compact day trip. Our guide Danxia was friendly, helpful and explained the highlights of each place clearly. Driver Duma was skilled. Together they made the trip enjoyable.
My husband and I both loved this tour! It was great to see all 3 locations, learn all of the history and get inside information from our tour guide, David. He was fantastic and funny and kept everything very smooth. Zaw, our driver, was superb as well!
Amazing tour. Was able to see so much in just one day!..............................................
If you have limited time in London this is the perfect overview of three historic sites. If you are a history buff l would recommend you take longer at Windsor Castle and surrounding area this place is amazing. With limited time for me this was the perfect way to see all three in one day. Exhausted when we got back but I’ll rest when I get home!!
The tour was perfect! The guide David has a lot of expertise about all the sights, is friendly and humorous. Everything went perfectly. We fully recommend the tour. Thanks a lot.
David and Zaw were amazing and the best guides!
Not to b missed. I've been on too many of these tours, but this one reminded me why I continue to do so. Tour Guide Pauly knowledgeable, articulate, funny, charming and approachable at all points. Driver Romeo? I simply don't know how he did it. Smooth and steady. And his mid city handling of that humongous coach is unrivaled. And I'm from New York! These guys don't earn enough. Take this tour. The StoneHenge experience alone is time capsule stuff. 10 stars
Excellent experience Pauline kept the tour on track, providing relevant information along the way while giving time to relax on the bus.
Good tour, but would like more time at Windsor castle & less time at Stonehenge. Definitely more to see at the castle.
There is a lot of walking and also a lot of time traveling on the bus. We only had about 1 to 2 hours at each stop which didn’t give us time to see everything we wanted.
This company takes excellent care of their customers. The tour was great, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and answered every question with ease.
Very disorganized at the bus station. Many touring people milling around, no one in charge to offer direction. All seemed very haphazard. Finally a fellow with a clipboard materialized and set things straight. Once on the bus, Josh gave very in-depth information for each locale as well as sites of note along the way - very entertaining and informative. Driver Sokol handled the coach like a seasoned pro - quick, safe and comfortable.
We had Amazing time. Eddie and Jason were very good, helpful and entertaining. They gave us enough time to not feel too rushed. Ofcourse we would have loved more time BUT we covered 3 spots in 1 day. We would highly recommend then. And we ourselves we comeback and join the tour again :)
A wonderful day and great way to see a couple of locations without having to worry about parking and all the roads. The allotted time at each location was great. Was nice to have walk right in access. Jason was very kind and his jokes made the day so light and fun. Eddie was an excellent driver and very friendly with our daughter and helpful with stroller. Would recommend them both anyday!
Great time with Jason tour guide and Eddy our driver.
Had such a great time on this one day highlights tour. Paulie was a delight. His commentary was fun and knowledgeable and his itinerary of the day was down to a science. The driver Xu did a great job at getting us to and from all of the destinations with ease. A lot of other reviews are upset with the timing of this tour but this was the perfect quick highlight tour of all 3 destinations during a short stay in London. If you want more than an hour or two to explore at each place, book a dedicated tour to each destination.
This was a great tour to see a lot of things in a short time. It was an awesome teaser to get a quick intro to Stonehenge, Windsor, and Oxford! Very busy day, but worth it! Peter and Mario were amazing.
It was an amazing trip , Thank you for Peter and Mario!!! We arrived on time thanks to mario and Peter is very smart and shared us a lot of trivia about all the places history that we visited.Salute to you guys and I will definitely recommend you to my friends and family
Cecily is a great tour guide and the tour is fantastic. She is professional and knowledgeable. The tour is a walking one and very enjoyable.
This tour is horribly planned and most of the day is wasted driving with little time to actually enjoy the attractions. No time planned for lunch. And the guide blamed us for booking a "rushed" tour!! Don't design and sell a tour that leaves you barely an hour to visit Windsor Castle, that's insane.
Our tour guide was Jason and our Bus driver was Abdul. The bus was comfy and the driving was great. They took us to all the places but the tour guide did NOT walk in with us and left us to explore alone which wasn't great especially at Windsor castle as some of the people on the tour were waiting in a wrong line to see the apartments and wasted their time at the castle because they weren't informed where to go. Food and hot drinks were not allowed on the bus including stuff like fries so be careful of that as they will make you throw out any food you buy while at the attractions. I recommend to select the tour option with tickets to save yourself a lot of hassle. Their timing was on point and they got us back to london around 7. Overall it was ok but I do wish a guide would come along inside with us to explain the attractions
Excellent experience, lucky to have Dan as our tour guide from Golden Tour. She is very knowledgeable, kind, with fluent English and Chinese translations.
Had a wonderful day with Jason and Ashley. Everything went without a hitch, we were given enough information to head off on our own in the different locations. These are iconic places s and a great tour overall.
Jason, our guide, and Patrick, our driver, were great. The tour was a great balance of interesting info without it being overbearing. We were able to hit all 3 sites without feeling rushed. Heads up though, the bus is a bit tight. Our group was small, so we could each get a row to ourselves. But just be aware if you go during the high season. If you want to check off these 3 things in quick succession, I highly recommend this tour!
Long ride between stops but unavoidable. They allowed as much time as possible due to long time leaving and approaching the London area. The guide would get us started at each stop then leave us with a departure time. The driver was very capable and the guide knowledgeable. It was a great way to see the countryside. Just note Windsor Castle is closed on some weekdays so plan accordingly.
Jason was an incredible guide, he has a great sens of humour and Ashley was a great driver. Great combo!
Awesome tour and very great guide . Jason was very explicit and informative with a great sense of humour. Would recommend 100%
Great experience! This is the 2nd Golden Tours we have taken and it did not disappoint! Our guide, Jason and driver, Ashley were terrific and made everything smooth.
It was interesting but rushed. No notification in advance that Windsor Castle was closed. Would have liked to go inside. Bus driver was very good, tour guide was excellent. Maybe next time don't cram so much in one day.
Jason and Romeo were great guides and driver. We learnt so much and had a lovely visit of these sites.
Excellent tour with great sights on everything they said we would see and more! Jason our tour operator was very knowledgeable and fun! Patrick was a great driver! The tour really was made better due to Jason and his great personality and showing us everything we wanted to see!
Our tour guide talked a lot, but not in the order of importance. She rambled on about toilets, when we needed to know that arm band colors had paid or unpaid admission. The cost for the 5 minute shuttle in Stonehenge was ridiculous, it should be included in everyone’s tickets. Same with Windsor, information about toilets and not to bring hot food onboard, but no idea how to navigate the castle. And she did not go along. Tour guide had not gone with us to Stonehenge or Windsor, so we figured this tour was only the coach ride. Then in Oxford she was taking people to the library, never knew that, so we toured ourselves. Tour guide walked fast, only the people able to walk at her speed got any information. Those who walked slowly never heard anything. She needed to stop and let the group catch up. Otherwise advertise this tour as needing the ability to walk quickly.
