We took the private coach day trip to Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, and Oxford and very much enjoyed the sites. The whole process was well run and very organized, from check-in to boarding to timings throughout the day, so we never felt unsure about what came next. Our guide, Godfrey, was knowledgeable, friendly and genuinely funny. He also communicated very well what to expect and when providing helpful recommendations on how to spend our time at each stop. The only drawback was the time. There were very long stretches on the coach. Three major sights in one day meant the schedule felt rushed, and you don’t have much more than an hour at each stop. If you want more than an hour at any destination, I'd suggest choosing a tour with just two stops. Even so, it was a memorable day and a great way to see a lot of England without the stress of driving or planning. Recommended.

The town of Windsor is best known for its historical links to the British royal family, and it is suitably steeped in pageantry and history. Towering over the rest of the town is Windsor Castle, the ancestral home of the English and later British monarchy, and largest inhabited castle in the world. It has been the family home of British kings and queens for almost 1,000 years and is today one of the official residences of His Majesty The King. Occupying over 10.5 hectares, the Castle offers a varied day out for visitors, including a visit to the magnificent State Apartments and St George's Chapel. The Castle's State Apartments are furnished with some of the finest works from the Royal Collection, reflecting the changing tastes of the Castle's royal occupants, particularly those of Charles II and George IV. Many of the works of art are still in the historic settings for which they were first collected or commissioned by the kings and queens who have lived at Windsor.
Step back 5,000 years in time to prehistoric Britain as our guide helps bring the history of this fascinating monument to life. Who built Stonehenge? Why was it built? Discover the answer to these questions and the monument’s fascinating link to the Summer and Winter solstice. Come face-to-face with a 5,500-year-old man and visit the world-class exhibition centre, with 250 ancient objects on display.
'The City of Dreaming Spires' is known for its distinctive architecture and holds the unique accolade of having examples of every architectural period going as far back as Saxon times. Wander its quaint cobbled streets on a walking tour of the city with our expert tour guide, who will bring the history and charm of this ancient city to life.

My tour guide was Peter, and my bus driver was Derek. What a great duo! Peter was informative and Derek brought us safely everywhere. Each place was well worth the money. The atmosphere was relaxed, and we had a good crew (40 people, the bus was roomy and comfortable) so instead of being too relaxed and running late everyone returned to the bus on time. I was especially impressed at the end of our trip: Unfortunately, a car accident pushed our trip back an hour, but Peter and Derek were upbeat and calm. We had to be dropped off at a different station than planned in order to keep with time constraints (poor Derek had been driving nearly to his limit!), but Peter made sure that every single one of us knew where we were going and how to get there. I booked this trip mostly for the ride, not so much for the touring aspect, but I was pleasantly surprised. Also, Peter's Italian was very good.
We had a great time on this tour. Ana was an excellent guide very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. She made everything interesting and enjoyable from start to finish. Chris was also a great driver. Ana and Chris made the experience memorable. Highly recommended
Viator does not include the price of tickets for admission in its charge, so you have to purchase tickets at the site in addition to the Viator ticket.. I am done with this company.
Robert (the tour guide) and Chris (the driver) took such good care of us and showed us so many wonderful things - stories and history and trivia and tips all made our trip amazing! Highly recommend!!
Robert and Chris were fabulous! Robert is a wealth of knowledge. You will NOT be disappointed!! And Chris was the best driver you could ask for!
Robert as the guide and Soran as the driver were excellent. Robert was very knowledgeable and informative. Kept us engaged. Soran was an excellent driver- very smooth
Long day but really great tour. Guide Phil was amazing, shared lots of interesting facts. Got enough time at each attraction. Driver Alex got us to each attraction promptly.
Long day but great day trip. Guide Phil was fantastic and shared lots of interesting information, provided clear instructions and kept everyone on track. Driver Alex got us everywhere safely.
The trip was planned very well and I need to mention about phill he had a good knowledge about the places and Alex was a excellent driver
Educational and fun! Absolutely worth it and great tour guide Phil!
Very informative tour with Andy Jackson!
Enjoyed our day trip very much. Our guide Andy Jackson was very informative and helpful.
The bus is really nice, which is good because traveling between destinations is half the day. I brought a pillow and some snacks (don’t bring any hot food or beverages though-not allowed on the bus). Bring a USBC or USB to charge your phone (outlets on the bus). You can leave things on the bus all day. Guide does a great job both on the bus and walking around with interesting stories and facts. Stonehenge was beautiful. I took the shuttle to it and then walked the 2k back to the bus to get some steps in. Very enjoyable. At first I thought would be really disappointed because I booked on a Tuesday and Windsor Castle is closed on Tuesdays (and Wednesdays), kinda felt ripped off at first…because we could only walk outside the castle, but I ended up enjoying it. The town of Windsor was not crowded at all BECAUSE the majority of the tourists come when the castle is open. Got some ice cream at Ice Queen and a Matcha Turmeric Iced Latte at Black Sheep. Yum
It was an excellent experience but very fast and with little time to know everything
Our guide, Sheila, and driver, Tony, were incredible! Full day of sightseeing at Windsor, Stonehenge, and Oxford. Sheila is so knowledgeable! Would be impossible to see so much on your own in a single day. Totally worth the money and would recommend anyone.
This was a great way to see 3 wonderful sites in 1 day, although we would have liked more time in each. Sheila was an excellent, very knowledgeable guide with a lovely, but easily understood Scottish accent. And Tony, our driver was also excellent at navigating through the traffic. A very enjoyable tour all around.
Thank you Sheila and Driver Tony. Really great bus but better people guiding us... We all had a great time. Take this tour!!!
The tour was great! Our guide, Anna, was knowledgeable, intelligent, looked out for everyone, kept a good flow and energy going and had the most beautiful green eyes I have ever seen. This trip was soo much fun. I will be booking with E&E again for certain. Thank you so much Anna! ~eli~
Godfrey the guide and Michelangelo the driver were a great team, taking us to Oxford, Stonehenge and Windsor Castle all in a day. Godfrey had amusing insights and fun facts at each location, and kept us on a timely, packed schedule. The tour is a good value, with each location an hour to an hour & half drive in between. Each place merits a longer return visit but good intro. Helpful hint: check to see if Windsor Castle is open to the public on your chosen day of the week.
Bus driver and tour guide were great and everything was very efficient. We enjoyed our day very much.
We had a wonderful time in Oxford, Stonehenge, and Windsor Castle. Our tour guide was awesome. If you are short on time, but you want to see these sites in one day, I recommend this tour! My only recommendation is that you double check the date of the week you go on this tour since Windsor Castle is not open everyday, and we didn’t get the chance to see it on the inside.
The guide was really organized and explain clearly, everything went as scheduled. We got valuable tips related about where to go first and it save us time.
Leslie (our tour guide) and Christian (our driver) were wonderful. Leslie knows and shares an incredible amount of history and knowledge as well as practical tips for the sites we visited. The day goes incredibly fast but it’s a good way to cover a lot of ground in a short period of time. I highly recommend.
Leslie is very knowledgable with the history of Windsor, Oxford and Stonehenge. Christian is a great driver, leaving on time. The tour is packed with places to go and the cons is that the time to go around is very short for me at least because I take photos a lot. If you dont want to be in a rush or wanted to stay longer in one place maybe choose 2 places to go for a day tour.
Leslie and Christian were wonderful. Leslie was so informative and did a great job telling stories and making sure our day was great!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic Day — Leslie and Christian Were Excellent! We had a fantastic day with Evan Evans Tours traveling from London to Windsor Castle, Oxford, and Stonehenge. It’s a lot to fit into one day, but Leslie and Christian made the entire experience easy, enjoyable, and memorable. Leslie was a terrific guide. She was knowledgeable, entertaining, and gave us plenty of interesting history and information along the way without overwhelming us. Her colorful umbrella could be seen bobbing up and down as she kept everyone on schedule while still giving us enough time to enjoy each location. Christian was an excellent driver and made the long day of traveling between destinations comfortable and relaxing. Everything ran smoothly, and the two of them made a great team. We especially appreciated how well organized the entire day was. Seeing Windsor Castle, exploring Oxford, and then finishing at Stonehenge made for an incredible experience and gave us a chance to see much more of England than we could have managed on our own. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to London. If you’re considering this tour, I highly recommend it — and if you get Leslie and Christian, even better! Thanks to both of them for a great day and some fantastic memories!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an outstanding experience with Evan Evans Tours on our day trip from London to Windsor Castle, Oxford, and Stonehenge, and a huge part of what made the day so enjoyable was Leslie and Christian. Leslie was an excellent guide—knowledgeable, engaging, funny, and able to provide just the right amount of history and background without ever making the day feel like a lecture. Windsor, Oxford, and Stonehenge are three very different destinations, and Leslie did a fantastic job bringing each of them to life while also keeping the group organized and the day moving smoothly. Christian was equally impressive. He handled the driving and logistics professionally and made a very full day feel comfortable and effortless. With that much ground to cover, timing and organization are everything, and Leslie and Christian worked together seamlessly. This is an ambitious itinerary, but it was incredibly well executed. We felt like we were able to experience three iconic parts of England in one day without feeling rushed or stressed. It ended up being one of the highlights of our time in London. We would absolutely recommend Evan Evans Tours, and if you have the opportunity to travel with Leslie and Christian, you’re in excellent hands. Thank you both for a fantastic and memorable day!
The tour was efficient, the driver Christian was precise and make us feel safe, Leslie teach us many stories about all the places we were to visit, explained all kind of details. We were a nice group of many places in the world , all super respectful and mindful of each other in the bus. Will recommend 100%
Leslie and Christian were a great team of tour guide and bus driver. We learned a lot and saw a lot but my only complaint was that it felt rushed at each place. Leslie runs a tight ship! And I understand why she has to but I think it’s almost too much for one day or needs to be longer so you don’t have to rush. We got it all in as promised but it would have been more enjoy if not so rushed.
Informative tour for the day! Lesley and Christian our driver did a great job taking us to all three spots, efficiently and with great enthusiasm. My parents and I had a great day!! One note I will make for either elderly or those who have trouble walking around- the tour is packed start to finish, so there’s little time between each venue to either sit or take your time- it didn’t take away from the experience but just a note for those who want a more leisurely experience at each venue. I’d suggest to do them separately if you want to spend all day at Windsor or Oxford specifically. Thank you!
They were fire!! I think they were funny and informative and I was able to have so much fun! Our driver was Mark, and he was great, and our tour guide was Godfried.
good way to tick off multiple sites in one day, godfrey was an entertaining guide, michaelangelo is a very safe driver
Stonehenge, Oxford and the Windsor Castle in only one day. It was such an excellent trip thanks to our guide Ana! Really kind and with a great sense of humour. And of couse thanks to our driver Arthur.
Sasha really made the day for us! Her energy knowledge, and fun quirkyness was amazing. We saw a lot today, and would have enjoyed a bit more time at each location, but felt that we saw the highlights of each location. Well done, Sasha! We highly recommend her and this tour!
Our tour to Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Oxford Our tour to Windsor Castle, Oxford, and Stonehenge was one of the highlights of our trip. The itinerary was well organized, giving us enough time to explore each destination without feeling rushed. And our Tourguide Pablo and bus driver were fantastic. Windsor Castle was absolutely stunning, with its rich history and beautiful architecture. Oxford was charming, and walking through its historic university streets was a wonderful experience. Stonehenge was truly awe-inspiring—seeing this iconic landmark in person was unforgettable. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and shared fascinating stories throughout the journey, making the experience even more enjoyable. The transportation was comfortable, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting England. It’s a fantastic way to experience three of the country’s most famous landmarks in a single day.
Great tour guide. Cathedral at Windsor is amazing
Angela was incredible. She was able to relay a massive amount of history and information. I will never remember a 1/3 of what she provided, but it was enthralling the whole time she was providing information on every site we visited.
Our whole family had an amazing day out with Angela and Vishal. Strongly recommend!
My family and I had a wonderful day exploring Oxford, Stonehenge, and Windsor with our guide, Sasha! She was incredibly knowledgeable, was enthusiastic and joyous about the information that she shared, and so helpful along the way answering questions and guiding us through the various sights. It was the perfect amount of time at each stop and there were plenty of opportunities to grab a drink/food and use the facilities. Harry Potter fans should definitely check out the Balliol College at Oxford too see inspirations for the great hall and various aspects of the Hogwarts Castle. The only drawback of the trip was that Windsor Castle is closed on Tuesday and Wednesdays. We didn’t know this when we booked. Sasha was excellent at offering alternative ideas! Our bus driver Levian made us feel very safe and the ride was seamless!
Fantastic experience, a wonderful guide with vast knowledge; I recommend it!!!
I would not recommend this tour. I didn’t read the fine print, only the title, when I booked. Oops. Windsor castle was closed, but the tour company thought walking around the outside was good enough. I booked an English tour but went on a bilingual tour. A lot of time to learn was lost because the guide had to explain things in two languages. The guide had a strong Spanish accent so I couldn’t understand half of what was being said. When we got to Windsor we were rushed. Only 15 minutes of free time. Stonehenge was amazing and we had plenty of time there. Oxford was ok. Informative but again, hard to understand half the knowledge being shared. The day took as long as they said it would. There was only time throughout the day to get grab-n-go items and eat on the bus. Overall the day did not feel like it was worth my time or money.
Our tour guide Kevin was super knowledgeable and funny! I was impressed with his Japanese as well. He essentially gave two tours at once: English and Japanese! Mentor was our driver and I felt absolutely safe with him behind the wheel.
Great tour and guide Godfrey was the best.
Oxford was a short walk to see some of the university it was just ok. Then off to Windsor castle. The castle was great but not enough time to see the entire castle. Then off to Stonehenge. Very interesting. Our tour guide was good maybe a little to much information. The big problem was to go to all three places takes a lot of drive time and the bus driver can only be on the job for a certain amount of time so we we were not dropped off back at Victory coach station which was a problem for people. This is unacceptable this needs to be part of the booking so people can plan. I am sure this happens quite often. Seeing all three places was cool but doesn’t seem to be enough time to see all three with four to five hours of driving.
Fantastic day trip. Highly recommend
A fantastic tour of Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Oxford with our guide Robert and driver Lucien. Robert is incredibly knowledgeable and provided us with wonderful commentary throughout our day. Lucien got is to all our locations and back safely! Highly recommended!
Robert is the best tour guide I ever had. He is excellent storyteller. very knowledgeable, give historically accurate and interesting introductions to all the place we visited.
Richard was a fantastic tour guide, and his knowledge of the city and surroundings was incredible. We would go on this tour again!
I booked this tour on a Thursday specifically to see the Changing of the Guard at Windsor Castle, but the guide changed the itinerary and took us to Stonehenge first, so we missed it completely. We then had only about 45 minutes at Windsor Castle, which was barely enough time to visit St. George’s Chapel. There was no opportunity to properly explore the castle, making the admission ticket poor value for money. The tour was advertised as English-speaking, but it turned out to be bilingual (English/French), with a large part of the commentary given in French. I also booked this tour because it was supposed to return to Victoria Station, close to our accommodation. Instead, we were dropped off at Gloucester Road Station, much farther away. To make matters worse, the guide went around the bus collecting tips and implied that a minimum £5 tip per person for the driver was expected. Overall, the entire day felt rushed, and we even returned to London about an hour earlier than scheduled. Unfortunately, the experience did not match the itinerary or expectations advertised when booking.
