We had a wonderful time. Darren was a good driver and guide. He explained everything to a tee. Very happy with our trip. Thank you ☺️

This was a fantastic tour lead by Charlie who was knowledgeable and engaging. We had a quick stop for a photo opp at Dover Castle. Next were the White Cliffs of Dover which were magnificent. You have to be prepared for any weather. The weather went from rain and gale force winds to sunshine and back again. It all added to the drama of the cliffs. We didn't know until we got there that there were opportunities for walks you did on your own. They ranged from ten minutes, to 30 to 45 minutes. We did the ten minute walk which in itself provided extraordinary views of the cliffs. There was a visitor center which provided hot drinks and pastries which were very good. Also, a very nice gift shop. We then stopped in Canterbury where Charlie walked us into town, provided some history, and gave recommendations for lunch. We had time to tour Canterbury Cathedral on our own. Great trip which I highly recommend.
Sam is a great tour guide! He took care of everybody and paid attention to details during the trip. He also demonstrated a great level of knowledge and understanding of cross-cultural communication.
A well-planned, well-organized, on time day trip covering the Cliffs of Dover and Canterbury. Chris was great behind the wheel and Lucy was a great guide exaining things and keeping us well entertained! I would highly recommend considering this tour.
Excellent trip. Driver (Chris) and guide (Lucy) were both fabulous and knowledgeable. The Cliffs were spectacular and the town of Canterbury was charming.
Lucy was very friendly and a lovely guide! Unfortunately due to things outside of the tours control we had a late night getting back but the drivers and the guide were all very lovely and got us back safe and sound! The tour was great, spent a decent amount of time at the White Cliffs and it was cool to see Canterbury.
I loved learning all about the history. The WW2 history especially. The guide, Charlie, was an entertaining and clear storyteller. The bus driver did a great job. There was information on places to eat in Canterbury, but we didn’t have time to both eat and look around, so we could have had a bit less on the food options I think. Charlie obviously knows about the nature of the area — I would have been happy to hear about that, and some other passengers might have too. The information on mud larking would have been wonderful to tell everyone. I just happened to ask about the Thames, so Charlie told me. I realise it’s always a balance between enough and too much information though. Perhaps the passengers could be asked if they want a lot or minimal at the start of the trip. Many thanks for a memorable day. Best wishes.
Charlie guided us on a poor weather day. High winds and some rain made it much more of an adventure than expected. Charlie was great as was our driver Michelle. We were on schedule and well taken care of entirely.
The guide was amazing we get the English guy SAM he is so accommodating with everyone works well with his colleagues driver Michell to get the bus on the road once the customers are loaded. Trip was full of fun jokes and histories fact . Even off the bus Sam often find mix group of people are build connections among peoples from all around the world and he has done it so well. I been many this type of tour with Viator for 5 years now. This perhaps hands down one of the best experiences and well organized by the team. Big shot out to couch driver Micheal and guide Sam
It was very windy and raining and only spent 45 minutes at the cliffs but ended up staying only in the gift shop. I think we should have been refunded because of this!
Stunning view, great guide this tour was awesome! Thankfully the day turned out to be sunny, a nice break from the rain
Emily was a great tour guide and gave us just enough information and respected our time and sleep on the bus! Rohan drove us there smoothly and safely and I appreciated that!
The guide was very knowledgeable about all of the sites but also added the perfect touch of quirky humor to the day. His guidance was spot on. He even told us to look out for WWII spitfire planes which we did indeed see! He shared a history of London docks as we drove through town, something that I had heard about but he really helped us visualize the transformation. Great Day! Excellent tour guide on 17/10/26.
Our guide was very entertaining and informative. The amount of time that was spent at the Cliffs and Canterbury was long enough for me to do almost everything that I wanted to do.
It was a great way to see the White Cliffs and Canterbury in one day. It was too much time in Canterbury for us so we took the train home which was a great alternative.
The trip to the white cliffs was spectacular and the trip to canterbury absolutely wonderful. Rob got us there comfortably and safely. Declan our tour guide was spectacular. I enjoyed his comedic-infused approach on history. A lot of fun.
Great experience and the tour guide was great! Would recommend! Learned a lot of history and saw some neat places!
Such a fun day traveling to Dover and Canterbury! Our guide Sam was a delight. The driver (forgive me for forgetting his name) did a wonderful job getting us everywhere safely and quickly. Plenty of time at both locations. The bus was comfortable and had AC. Would definitely recommend!
Charlie our guide & Chris our driver were excellent offering a balance of interesting information. Great experience of the beautiful cliffs & Canterbury
Lucy, our tour guide, and Michelle, our driver, made a fantastic pair. The cliffs and Canterbury were beautiful.
Charlie and Chris were both amazing! After being on a cruise for about a week, we had our fair share of bad tour guides. These guys were opposite of that. Both were funny and engaging. Enjoyed all stops along the way.
Wonderful day out, with driver Chris giving a lot of wonderful knowledge and guide Charlie filling in the other information about the places we see and visited. Highly recommend.
This is a delightful day trip! Tony the driver/guide was chipper, informative and entertaining. The Canterbury Cathedral is awe inspiring! You definitely need to prioritize your time; touring the Cathedral with an incredibly knowledgable volunteer, or taking in the charm of the town itself, including exploration into ancient Roman history. I opted for the Cathedral tour, and will cherish my time there. After the intensity of the Cathedral, the fresh air and tranquility of the Dover coastline is a perfect counterbalance to the day! Thank you, Tony, and thank you Go Tours UK!
This tour was really well planned and thought out. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history. Our driver was very good. I enjoyed each stop greatly. Highly recommend.
Beautiful sights at the cliffs, a lot of walking, may need more time at cliffs if you are a slow walker. Tour guide was Emily, she was friendly and professional. Our driver was Chris who was also friendly and professional and funny. We were given two hours at the Cliffs of Dover, which we realized now was probably not enough time. We were walking slowly and taking a lot of pictures only to realize we had to basically power walk to get back to the bus. We made it very close to the lighthouse, but not all the way because lack of time, but people on our group said the lighthouse wasn’t open, and the teahouse at the lighthouse wasn’t opened so they were disappointed. Our guide had no idea that any of this was closed, which was telling. We got to Canterbury, which is a beautiful little town and I highly recommend that you visit. We were given 2 1/2 hours there to eat lunch and see the cathedral and see the town. Again, not really enough time to have a sitdown lunch and see all the sites. Emily could only recommend one pub which we had already been to at a different location so we were on our own to find something. Plenty of restaurants and we were successful, but it wasted time. Overall, I recommend this trip, but if you really want to dig into each of the sites, you might want to do them individually.
We got a nice balance of guided time and free time. The Cliffs were beautiful and Canterbury was more than I thought it’d be. Tiger was a great guide and Ed a great motorist.
Wonderful experience, Chris and Emily are great guides. The only thing confusion is the pickup location. Google brings you behind the Rudds Bar.
This was a very comfortable and well planned out trip. The meeting point was easy to find (we took Uber, but its a short walk from the Blackfriars subway station). The minivan was comfortable and the driver and guide arrived on time. The first stop was at a rest stop, where toilets, food and other essentials were available. The next stop was to view the Dover Castle from far. We were then taken to the White Cliffs and after a brief overview by the guide had over 2 hours to walk the trails. One couple from our group even made it down to the beach (not for the faint hearted because of steep steps and a ladder at the end). The visitor center has a cafe, gift store and toilets. At around 12:30 pm we started for Canterbury. We reached in 30 minutes and were given a good introduction and walk around town and then had over 2 hours to eat, shop and explore. We were back in London by 5 pm. The driver Rohan was very good, efficient and friendly. The guide Charlie was outstanding. He was funny and informative I would highly recommend this trip - totally worth the price. But we found Canterbury so charming that we went back.
I had a great experience and our tour guide Amy was great! This was a great combo tour that allowed us to make the most of our time during our short trip to London!
Awesome trip! So much to see for one day. Would have like to stay in Cantebury 2 days at least. Guide was friendly and informative and the driver was a great driver with a beautiful personality.
Our tour guide Declan and driver Ronita were terrific. Declan was extremely knowledgeable and had a good sense of humor keeping everyone in the loop. It was a very nice experience.
This tour was a highlight of our trip to London. Everything was well organized and timed perfectly. The tour guide Sam was amazing. We particularly loved Canterbury.
Great day trip out of London. The bus is clean and comfortable and the guide was knowledgeable and kind. Would say that we needed a bit more time at both stops, but understandable given how long of a day it was already. It was a bit of driving, but again, a good experience overall. Recommended that you get to the bus early to get a good seat.
Do not take this tour if you want to experience the majesty of the whiteness of the cliffs. We were very disappointed. My husband is a bit afraid of the narrow path near the cliff edge so we couldn't go far. The tour description didn't point out that the tour was only from above so the view isn't great. Canterbury was fine.
As a solo traveller going on a tour with an informed and very pleasant guide and others travellers allows me to see places I've wanted to see for some time.
A beautiful day trip out of London. The white clouds are quite impressive in their size and beauty and you can see France from the shoreline. There was plenty of time at the still to walk along the cliffs and explore a bit Canterbury is very quaint and picturesque. The cathedral and it's grounds are stunning. I recommend paying to go inside and explore a bit. Many great little souvenir shops and restaurants if you want to ship and grab a bite to eat. Don't forget to walk down by the river. It's very pretty!
This tour combines the beauty and stunning natural setting of the cliffs of Dover nature park and the historic small city of Canterbury with its soaring cathedral and extensive pedestrian only medieval town center. For those who have never seen it the closeness of the shore of France across the channel is a very pleasant surprise. The guide was excellent and the pacing was natural- great information alongside self paced times to explore the Dover cliffs waking paths and the lovely center of Canterbury. Highly recommended!
Come in above the cliffs so they were hard to see. Didn’t want to take the rough terrain trail to the beach. Then when we stopped at Canterbury, we were completely abandoned by the guide. We had to find our own way to the main streets of Canterbury that had the shops and restaurants from the coach park
Our tour guide Lucie and driver Maria are excellent! They are very professional, punctual and knowledgeable of the destination. This is the example of the best customer service. I would highly recommend.
Declan was excellent. He was friendly, witty and very informative. Ahmed was an excellent drive
Nice daytrip- enough time for cliffs but would like to spend more time in Canterbury (for example an one hour more).
Wet good trip with easy and relaxing pace - the white cliffs of Dover are poignant to see and our tour guide, Daisy, gave us an excellent background of the cliffs’ history. Canterbury is a fun town to visit; we had enough time to enjoy its charm. Daisy provided lots of information and we had a very efficient driver , Maria. Would highly recommend this tour.
The views of the white cliffs and the town of Canterbury were INCREDIBLE. Absolutely worth it. I do wish we had a little bit more time in Canterbury, as it took a while to get food.
Wear layers, weather unpredictable. The cliffs are a site to see and Canterbury was charming as can be.
Our guide, Sam, was knowledgeable and told a lot of great stories during the tour. The White Cliffs are amazing and a must-experience, and Canterbury is a charming town. Definitely worth the time and the price.
We had a wonderful day touring the White Cliffs of Dover and Canterbury, and it was made even more enjoyable by our fantastic guide, Samuel, and driver, Laura. Samuel was an excellent guide who presented the information clearly and engagingly. He was knowledgeable and made the history and stories come to life without ever feeling overwhelming. Laura was equally fantastic. She was lovely to chat with while we were waiting for everyone to arrive at the beginning of the tour and again while waiting for everyone to return to the bus. She handled the bus very professionally, making us feel safe and comfortable throughout the day. The White Cliffs of Dover were absolutely amazing — definitely a bucket-list experience and every bit as spectacular as we had hoped. Canterbury was also a fascinating city, with so much history, character and plenty to see. A wonderful tour with a great team. We would highly recommend it, and especially Samuel and Laura for making the day so enjoyable! Bryan and Jo
This tour was outstanding. We learned some good history during the drives and getting the chance to explore places without having to drive was great. Our guide Tiger and driver did an outstanding job ding job of helping everyone.
We really enjoyed this trip. The two locations were so interesting, it seems like they should be two separate tours. The time allowed for Dover was not quite enough to walk all the way to the light house and back. The time spent in Canterbury was wonderful, but we would have loved to have more time to explore more than just the cathedral. Our guide was wonderful; very knowledgeable and personal. The bus was very comfortable. The tour stayed on schedule.
Cameron and Patrick were so amazing. Cameron kept us laughing and the great thing was that he was also so incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the things we saw and England in general. I would definitely take another tour if he were the guide. Patrick was such an good driver. He was so safe and smooth. A fantastic day.
Great guide, interesting history, kept us moving and together, found wonderful tidbits and guards and horses!
