The plan looked good on paper. The early part was canceled. We walked a long way alone to the Abbey, no guide along the way. We rushed back to pick up part 2 which was 1 hour longer than scheduled, and caused our late afternoon booking to be rushed. So many extra steps, and lost time. Our afternoon guide Chris was fabulous- he made up for the disappointment.

Itinerary
After a stroll through lovely Green Park, we reach Buckingham Palace - official home of the King! Your guide will tell stories of British Royal history as you admire this beautiful Palace. On certain days you can watch the world-famous Changing of the Guard ceremony, and your guide will find the perfect viewing spot! Afterward, walk along the Royal Mall.
Reaching this iconic public square, you’ll see Nelson’s Column, the stunning fountains, and famous buildings including The National Gallery.
Continue to Horse Guards Parade, on the edge of stunning St. James Park. We’ll stop to admire its famous arch and iconic clock - a great photo opportunity!
Next, your guide will lead you to nearby Whitehall. This is home to many grand buildings and monuments, as well as Downing Street where British Prime Ministers have lived and worked since 1735!
At Parliament Square, you’ll see the incredible Palace of Westminster (home to the Houses of Parliament) and the iconic Big Ben clock up close, as well as views of the London Eye and Churchill Statue.
Continue to nearby Westminster Abbey - one of London’s most beautiful buildings with over 1000 years of history. This is where British Kings and Queens are crowned!
Then, head to Churchill War Rooms- the centre of Britain's war effort during the Second World War, to see how Churchill won World War 2.

This was a great experience! Our tour guide was great! Lots of walking but at a good pace with frequent stops to see and hear all of the history.
This was a nice way to see a lot of the historical sites in London and recommend. Ashley was thorough and shared a lot of great knowledge that is not in the history books.
Terrific tour guide for tour before we went into Westminster and the Churchill War Rooms. Loved every minute.
Adrian was a wonderful guide! Funny, good pacing, and great stories. Travelers should note that the tour description is confusing. We booked the 6 hour tour with Westminster Abbey and the Churchill War Rooms. The first 3 hours are a guided walking tour. When that ends, you travel on your own to the other destinations (the guide gave us our tickets). I didn’t mind that since the places were close and it let us explore at our own pace, it just wasn’t what I expected so a more clear description would be helpful.
Nathaniel was very informative and a fun tour guide. There is a lot of history here and he did a great job highlighting it. We also had tickets for Westminister Abbey and the War Room. Both were incredible and overwhelming at the same time. Again, a lot of history and culture in this beautiful city. Can't wait to visit again. We have used Viator several times and have never been disappointed.
Great day with lots of walking Our guide was such fun and very informative Such a great way to experience London
Covers so many sites and Connor had plenty of wisdom and historical knowledge going into adequate detail for the group but ready to dive in if someone asked a question.. Kept us on schedule, with particulars like knowing the rest areas, or we wouldn’t see many trash cans or eateries as we approached one leg of our tour. Recommended!
This is an excellent walking tour! Our guide, Mark, was EXCEPTIONAL - knowledgeable, courteous, witty and funny. The convenience of purchasing both Westminster Abbey tickets and Churchill War Bunker tours made the day super easy. Definitely a Must See if you visit London!
Mark was a wonderful and knowledgeable tour guide. He was witty, a great story teller, and quite engaging. The overall experience was great but be prepared to walk/stand a lot, limited bathroom availability, it was also a lot of information to take in at once. I think I would have enjoyed the activities broken up more throughout our trip, information overload.
We enjoyed this tour despite the disruption caused by protestors, an excellent walk around London covering a lot of history
The tour was fabulous, we learned a lot about the history of Westminster. Mark was so interesting, funny and lovely with us. We just love him! Very happy with the tour! It is a must! Thank you
Tour didn't mention it would include Buckingham and changing of the guards. There was not enough time to do everything we paid for because of 1.5 hour queue to get into the Abbey. Prepare for a lot of steps and stops. No refund or partial refund offered. Ali was the only great part of this tour. She was lovely and shared some great history with the group.
Jason (Mary Poppins brother) was a fantastic guide. He educated with humor. Very interesting tour. Highly recommend.
We booked this tour believing it was different from the tour the day before. It was the same tour, however, having a different guide made the tour just as interesting.
This was a good easy walk to see highlights of town and the history behind it. Guide was hilarious and was a little dramatic to keep it interesting. The King was leaving when we walked up we think. Saw possibly some Ambassadors in carriages on back road. We did both Westminster and then war room last. Was a nice tour that was not a chore to walk.
Great intro to the city. Connor did an amazing job, super informative and knew where to be and at what time. A must do when visiting London.
We had an amazing tour with Nathaniel! A native Londoner who loves his city and it showed during the tour. He had a great sense of humor, was easy to understand and made the 3 hour tour a must see and do! I would take other tours thru Viator based on our experiences with multiple other ones. Their app is easy to use and the follow-up emails keep you on plan up to the day of the event.
I'm completely torn about this tour. First I showed up 45 mins before the meeting time and decided to get coffee while I waited. I went back 5 mins before the start time to see my tour guide walking off. If I showed up right when the tour started he would've been gone. If a tour starts at 10 am there should be some kinda of grace period or a text message. The guide may have been knowledgeable but really just came off like he was bored. When you're a historical tour guide you have to be passionate about what you do. The lines to Westminster Abby and the war room were brutal in that heat. I gave it (3) stars because he did know the right locations to stand to get the best views of the changing of the guards.
Lucked into catching the changing of the guard at Buckingham. Pace at the end was very rushed so we didn't get any real time with our guide talking about Big Ben or Westminister. Our tickets to Churchill War Room got us into a prepaid ticket line but took us more than 1 hour wait to enter.
Adrian was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!! He made the tour come to life with his vibrant personality! If I was able to I would book him for all my tours when in London!!!
The tour is in English only the tour guide if it gives real and good data, but my family does not speak English
