I bought this tour including the interior of the palace, as confirmed on my reservation under “What’s Included”. When we met with the guide he stated I’d only purchased the gardens and tea. The booking was misleading and we missed the interior. The tea food wasn’t the best I’d had. Make sure you book the correct tour if you want to see the interior. Very disappointing. Otherwise Viator has been excellent and is always my go-to.

Not a lot of info provided by guide. High tea was nice. I suggest including the home tour..it may be better.
Kensington was beautiful and the history was mind blowing. It was a beautiful day and our guide, Patrick, was patient and very informative. He made the whole experience very enjoyable and was really funny!
We had a 3:30 tour and it was changed with short notice to 11 AM We were on a 16 day trip with other tour plans scheduled that morning. Our tour and tea were lovely but very over priced.
Amazing tour with such a great guide! It was just the two of us and our guide — he was very knowledgeable and provided a lot of great information! The afternoon tea was a wonderful conclusion to the experience.
I would not recommend this excursion through a company. You can walk yourself around the Sunken Garden, Cradle Walk, exterior of Kensington Palace, and Orangery with afternoon tea to include Hyde Park.
We really enjoyed having Pamela as our tour guide! She was very informative and a gracious host.
This was a wonderful experience - the palace tour made it special especially touring Queen Victoria’s doll house and apartments before she became queen. The garden tour was not as spectacular as it was a very dry summer ao there were no flowers. But Diana’s memorial in the sunken pool was special. and the High Tea at the orangery was excellent I was the only person who showed up so I had a private tour with Nicholas who had a lot of stories and showed such passion for history that you could feel his stories come alive.
Guide was on time, organized, and knowledgeable. The palace was cool and tea experience really neat. Only critique was if the guide could stay behind or prep us for any tea etiquette or things to know about its history.
Pamela was an amazing tour guide, loved every minute of it. She explained everything very well. The Afternoon tea was amazing.
This was a small group tour and just ideal.. We were able to tailor the tour to the interests. Pamela, our guide, was phenomenal... she really made the day. And the tea was exceptional.
Mike is an absolutely AMAZING guide! Funny, personable, and knowledgeable about the Palace/Garden history as well as British history in general. 10/10 would tour again
I highly recommend this tour. Our guide, Mike, was very friendly and very informative. The tour of Kensington Palace was great and tea at the orangery was amazing!
Booked this activity as a Mother’s Day gift and we had the best time, our guide Patrick was phenomenal and was so passionate about Kensington and the history of the park. Learnt some really interesting new facts while enjoying a beautiful day. Thank you Patrick !
Nicholas was very knowledgeable and gave us specific info regarding our interests. He took time in getting us to the venues and verified our tea reservations were set and got us a window seat! Highly recommend Nicholas!
The tour was perfect in terms of pace. The Orangery was an unexpected highlight. Such a beautiful building and tge afternoon tea was delicious!
This was a small group tour that was wonderful. Pam the guide was knowledgeable, helpful and lovely to be around. Kensington itself is rather small and the gardens are really suffering in the heat but that doesn’t take away from the history and being able to see it.
What a lovely day! Our guide was very knowledgeable and kind. Even on a hot day, the palace and tea room were cooler than expected.
Pamela was very knowledgeable and made experience enjoyable.
Phillip was great and knowledgeable. It was a good tour. We also had high tea at the palace which the food was so good.
Our guide Pamela was FANTASTIC! It turned out that we were her only clients for this tour. It was a perfect private tour! All our questions were answered plus Pamela provided a wealth and depth of information that made our time with her extra special.
Great way to have tea in London! You get to walk around Kensington Palace and have tea in the Orangery. Food was delicious. Anna was a great tour guide.
Mike was a fabulous tour guide. So glad he had tea with us. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour of Kensington Palace!
It was such a lovely morning. Our guide was great! I was impressed with his knowledge of all the names of the tea cakes. He was very helpful with teaching us the proper way to deal with our tea.
Great tour, would 100% go again! Pamela was a fantastic guide…………………………………………………………………………………………………..
One of the highlights of the tour was our guide, Pamela. She didn’t let the rainy start put a damper on our experience. She was lovely and truly knowledgeable. We enjoyed our tour and simply adored Pamela. Thank you!
Oh my goodness, Pamela was a lovely tour guide. Shared lots of interesting facts on London. I highly recommend going on the Kensington Palace tour with the Royal Tea at Orangarie.
Fantastic experience that adds a lot of value over a self directed visit. Mike was outstanding with both myself and my daughter bringing both a depth of knowledge to the experience but also adapting to different knowledge bases. 10/10 recommend
Our guide was fine. But, not worth $261 for a tour. Guide could not take us in Kensington and he was not needed for tea either. These are definitely activities you can do on your own.
Pamela was an excellent guide and shared some amazing historical facts as well as London royal information. Beautiful estate and gardens and the Orangery tea room was lovely. Highly recommend this tour!
Tour guide was knowledgeable of Kensington Palace, and he facilitated us getting in and out of the Palace and the Orangery (for high tea). However, unlike other tours, he did not actually come inside Kensington Palace. Based on my tour of Westminster Abbey, I thought and expected the tour guide would come in. I was a bit disappointed at first. That said, he was very nice, walked us all around the grounds, and helped take photos of the group. I recommend him, but just for anyone who is expecting the tour guide to come in, this isn’t that type of tour.
I loved my tour guide Barbara and his assistant guide who was so kind to take pictures and answer our questions. The palace tour is nice but it was a great addition to have their knowledge of the royal parks and the Palace, they arranged a nice afternoon tea for us it was so nice that I returned for tea when my cruise stopped in England. The red velvet tea was delicious and had to have it again. Have fun and bring a cute fascinator for tea. The price covers mostly the afternoon tea and tickets, so it wasn't bad at all.
Just go to the palace yourself. The guide just walks you over, talks about things that are not memorable, then you go in by yourself. Then walks you over to the Orangery for tea. You can book both yourself. Very disappointed with the so called garden tour...in May you just walk through a nice vine covered path, that's it, that's all. Fir an avid gardener, very disappointing. The Orangery was spectacular 👌
Wonderful tour. Just the right balance of guided tour time and self guided tour for my family (we have 2 college aged adult children). Afternoon tea was the icing on the cake.
Everything went as expected. Mike was on time, and was very pleasant, knowledgeable, considerate, and helpful. The tour was very enjoyable and i would highly recommend Mike and his tour company.
Everything about this tour was awesome. Be sure to add the public rooms option. Being able to see so much of the palace, learning its history and having Tea in the Orangery made for an awesome time. Our guide was the best.
Our group of four from the US SO ENJOYED this tour of “Royal Life”. Phillip, our guide, was personable, courteous, considerate and quite professional. He made this Kensington story of Prince Charles and Diana, as well as Kensington’s many residents’ come to life. High tea in The Orangery was DELICIOUS and ROYAL…we had to pinch ourselves that we were really experiencing this English tradition.
Phillip was our guide and he was amazing. So friendly and knowledgeable during the tour. He was also very patient with everyone wanting pictures and asking questions.
David was an amazing tour guide! He made this tour so much fun! Loved seeing Kensington and having afternoon tea!
This was a fabulous tour with Pamela. It was a small group of 6, so no problem hearing her at all. She found out that I truly love the royal family so she made sure she shared all things Royal that she could for us. The tea at the Orangery was so special for us Americans. It was a great choice for us to choose this tour and tea.
I really enjoyed the palace tour! Our guide, Pamela, was fantastic. Everything ran smoothly and she shared fascinating history about the park, gardens, and the royal families who once lived there. I use a mobility scooter and the tour was wheelchair accessible. The staff inside the palace were very helpful in navigating the accessible entry points to the different exhibit spaces. High tea in the orange row was the perfect finish to the tour. Definitely recommend!
Great tour of the palace. Pauline was super knowledgeable and gave us great historical context. High tea at the Orangery was amazing!
Kensington Palace and the tea experience was absolutely wonderful. Every second was truly enjoyable. The knowledge we gained through the engaging stories and fascinating facts made it unforgettable. Highly recommended — a truly special experience ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Pamela was an excellent guide, she was knowledgable and lovely. She gave insights along with history. She also gave helpful suggestions with what to do with the rest of our day. The high tea at the Orangey was just perfectfor an Easter Sunday!
Pamela is personable and knowledgeable. She answered British history questions thrown at her by the touring group. She is an excellent tour guide.
Pauline was a great guide and Kensington Palace is such a lovely experience. I would definitely recommend visiting the newly reopened Orangery for tea. The grounds are pretty with the first signs of spring popping up and tulips in bloom.
The weather was rainy and dreary, but our guide made the best of it for us. Mike D. was enthusiastic even with rain pelting him as we discussed the history of Kensington outside before our indoor tour started. He set us up well. The handheld guide available inside was definitely worth it, just as Mike had stated. Kensington walkthrough was done well with plenty of interesting stories on the device. Our guide met us after our walkthrough and discussed the gardens as we walked to the Orangery for our high tea. We were lucky that all the other guests that day decided to cancel due to the weather, so we had our guide to ourselves. It made for a nice tea with good conversation. Sitting in the Orangery was fun and they played the Bridgerton soundtrack. Lots of teas to choose from, nice staff, and lots of goodies to try. Great tour and you can definitely do this one in bad weather if you just keep a positive outlook about it.
Really loved this experience! The first hour is spent walking in Hyde Park, getting a little bit of history of the area as well as about Kensington Palace and the Royal Family. After, you have tea at The Orangery. Come hungry because there’s a lot to eat and it will fill you up! You can also try more than one tea, if you like. Our tour guide, Mike, was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and kind.
Our Kensington Palace tour with Mike was absolutely wonderful. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and brought the history to life in a way that felt personal and easy to follow. You could tell he truly loves what he does, and that made the experience even more special. Ending the tour with tea at the Orangery was the perfect touch — a beautiful, relaxing setting that allowed us to soak in everything we had just learned. It felt elegant without being stuffy and was a lovely way to slow down and enjoy the moment. Highly recommend this experience if you want history, insight, and a classic London memory all wrapped into one.
Lots of great information on the history. Mike our tour guide made sure not to rush but also give us the right amount of information for each little stop. Professional, and polite!
