Ultimate Jack The Ripper : Guided Tour Of London

A bit underwhelming to do in the daytime (we did 10:30am slot), I think an after dark tour would have been more atmospheric!

Sila our tour guide was fantastic!!! She knew the material, kept things at an excellent pace and was just personable and enthusiastic. We would definitely book another tour with this guide. Also, I needed to change our tour date and the customer support team was incredibly fast to help me and rearrange. We could not be happier with our experience.

No tour guide response to multiple messages and multiple phone calls. Didn’t go on the tour because there was no contact to confirm the location.

The tour didnt feel immersive or like the information presented was very informative. Belinda's story telling was very basic if not non existent. A stronger story teller may help immerse tourists with a better experience or feel as though there was more going on than gin drinking and some murders. Slides were shown on an iPad but with no reference of the area or history prior to tour we felt more information was needed to better present the story. Key parts of the greater known story had been left out inculding suspects of who did it and how they used London's streets to get away. Little information was given on jack the ripper himself or the possible suspect(s) that we heard about, naming only 1 possible person during the tour. I would recommend a self guided tour to learn more about the victims, clues, suspects, area, conspiracies, and most importantly the story of it all with context and examples to reference to the modern day. (Much of which was lost in our tour) The meeting location provided no purpose other than a quiet place to talk and congregate before walking down the road. The ten bells also was not the ending location of our tour as was indicated in the information. It was also glossed over and talked about briefly during the tour but had to compete with busy traffic (a common issue for our 7pm time slot).

We've been meaning to do a Jack the Ripper tour for a while, and we're really glad we chose this one! Dominic was extremely knowledgeable and shared some fascinating insights, drawing on all the available information. He was clearly well prepared, engaging and interacted brilliantly with the group, making the whole experience both interesting and enjoyable. A really fascinating tour that I'd highly recommend to anyone with an interest in Jack the Ripper – or any budding Ripperologists!

The guide (Sina) told the story very well, see knew how we could keep the attention to the story with various cliffhangers and good facts.

We really enjoyed our Jack the Ripper tour with Martin. He was a fantastic guide, incredibly knowledgeable and engaging, with plenty of historical detail while still keeping that atmosphere of mystery that makes the story so fascinating. What I particularly appreciated was the attention given to the victims, putting their lives and stories at the centre of the mystery rather than focusing entirely on Jack the Ripper himself. It was a different and much more interesting perspective. The walk itself was lovely, taking us through Aldgate, Brick Lane and the City of London, discovering streets and corners full of history. Martin was brilliant throughout, bringing the stories to life through his wonderfully eloquent storytelling and making the whole experience both informative and captivating. Highly recommended!

What a brilliant experience! Our guide Martin was excellent, both funny & very personable. We really enjoyed the extra brief stops in places you would never know were there. This tour focuses on the victims as well as JTR which is so important for them to be remembered and talked about. A must do experience…..Highly recommend!

Gabby our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. She gave us a detailed account of all that is known without sensationalising the lives of "the Five", the poor victims. As a lot of the sites no longer exist, she used photos to explore the different locations. Really recommend. We walked quite quickly so don't book if you have mobility issues.

Ivan was an excellent guide. We really enjoyed the tour. It was an informative and interesting way to find out more about what happened in the autumn of 1888. Importantly for me, the tour was very respectful the victims. Not glorifying the horrors that occurred but providing interesting insights.

We’d wanted to do this for a long time and were not disappointed. Klervi was an excellent guide. She was very knowledgeable and clearly enthusiastic listening to thoughts and suggestions from the group. Considering you walk through busy London streets she was easy to keep up with and spoke at a good volume with a clear voice. Would thoroughly recommend

As in many cases, people know about and are fascinated with the serial killer, but, unfortunately, the victism are forgotten. It wad quite interesting to find out more about their lives. Although I have been living in London for many years, I believe it was the first walk through Whitechapel. It was also heavy raining on the day of the tour and I think this created a better atmosphere. Ivan was our guide and the weather didn't stop him from immersing us into the story

We literally felt the elements of the time when Jack wandered these streets The weather was stormy/rainy and wet. The details that Anna gave/showed us how he operated and his knowledge of the area: victims and time frame were truly unbelievable. Places; along with the time frame, left one to try to decide for themselves who was Jack…local or a ‘passing through’ gent. I wanted my questions answered but it still led me wanting more information. Children are not advised for the adult content.

We had an awesome time on the Jack the Ripper tour with Nic! You can tell he really enjoys what he does - he was incredibly engaged in the case and his story-telling was on top. He knew how to answer all our questions and even gave us food recommendations. One of the best tours we ever attended, 100% would recommend.

Was a nice walk through the locations, and the way he incorporated photos and stories made it an enjoyable journey. Did a great job of not rushing and allowed for those who took a little longer to catch up as we moved from place to place.

The tour doesn’t show you much because the building are mostly gone. If your tour guide isn’t a good story teller (ours wasn’t) then it’s just a walk around a not very nice looking area. It’s a missed opportunity to provide other interesting facts about the location.

It was a good tour and very informative. My guide had a lot of information. I also learned there are a lot of unanswered questions to the murders.

My flight was delayed in reaching London. I messaged my uber driver to ensure that we could reach the meeting point on time he said he would try. It was at that point I reached out to the tour to explain the situation. They had a virtual AI service named Sia. I told them I was running late and my estimated time of arrival. The response was that they let my tour guide Martin know I was running late and to take my time and arrive safely. Well I arrived safely to find no tour guide, no explanation, nothing. So unprofessional. I requested a refund through Viator, but the company denied my request so now I am disputing the charge through my bank. The tour was only $27 and being one of the cheapest tours I’ve ever taken through Viator I wouldn’t even dispute the charge. It’s the principle of the matter for me. They failed to communicate properly because if I had known no one would be there I would have just stayed at the airport. If they had reached out and asked are you still on your way I would have just taken the loss but they didn’t. To add insult to injury, they claimed they were tracking my location, which I allowed them to do so did they wait for me to get there to just leave? Never one to get lemons and not make lemonade I did my own tour of Jack The Ripper’s Whitechapel. I’ve researched the case enough that I was able to recognize key landmarks like Christ Spitafields Church, The Ten Bells and the Spitafields market. The cherry on top of my tour of Whitechapel was the actual Jack The Ripper museum which was cheaper than this tour and hosts their own walking tours. It was always a dream of mine to do a Jack The Ripper tour in October during spooky season so this was one of the highlights of my trip. That is why I decided not to let these unprofessionals ruin my time. I do not blame Viator for this because this is the first time in years of booking tours through Viator that I have had this problem but I will be very reluctant to book again after this experience.

This was an awesome tour, Nick was a fantastic guide and storyteller! I didnt know much of A the history, but after this tour and seeing the location of the crimes and learning about the lives of the victims, Nick really trasports you back to 1888. IfYou want to see a different part of London and learn more about its notorious killer amd its victims, check this out.

To learn about this unsolved crime through the lives of the women was both sad and sobering. To think they brought on changes to White Chapel by there murders is equally astounding.

This Jack the Ripper tour from See your City was the best one ive done, and we go to ripper tours quite often. The guide was amazing, his stories well researched and very interesting. Absolutely recommend. If you are doing a tour about the Whitechapel murders do this one and ask for Ivan to be your guide 😊
