The experience begins with a pretend train trip to 32 Windsor Gardens. There are then a series of scenarios with actors. For the most part the sets are really well done. You feel like you are right there in the Brown's living room viewing the spiral staircase where Paddington slid down the bannister, for example. The actors are also great - they really take the roles. Each of the sets has something for children to do. - solve a puzzle, find pieces of a map etc. At first these are great, but they tend to get a bit repetitive. The task in the jungle of Peru - to find oranges and put them in the marmalade maker, is the least interesting. The marmalade machine itself looks good, but does not really do anything interesting except move the oranges along a conveyor belt. The real disappointment of this experience though, is that Paddington is nowhere to be seen. I expected to see a character dressed as Paddington at least once, but the closest you get is a mechanical bear right at the end and all he can do is move his head from side to side as he speaks. If I was a child, I would have been bitterly disappointed by the lack of appearance of the main character in this 'experience'.... to be honest, I was disappointed as an adult too.

Brilliant 👏me and my wee boy loved it and really enjoyed it was magical highly recommend it
I took my 3 year old to this in the summer. It was half price using kids week tickets and at that price was great value. We both had a lovely time. He got to take part in the activities, meet the characters and have a photo with paddington at the end. At times it felt a little bit rushed ( we needed slightly more time in Peru) but generally the timings were good. We had a marmalade sandwich and an ice cream at the end while we played the street party games and really enjoyed the experience. This is definitely for younger kids, the activities were perfect for him but older children/teens would be bored and the adults just watch ( which is great if your small kids are having fun). I think it wouldn't be worth it at full price, but with discounts it was a fun hour and he still talks about it months later.
"As I am sure you know bears are super at the very hard stare; especially when the concerts of marmalade may be in the luggage." • Truly a fun and humourous experience. • Excellent for all the family members even the "bears"! • Twin it with a City explorer or go early and enjoy all the attractions. • Great joys especially for a special adventure we teamed ours with Notting hill & Waterloo. • Do remember to ensnare your paws a sticky bun & a good map. Truly the area has a host of extra wonders if you keep yourself warm even the rainy days are brighter and better for a little choo choo & a carousel. •Thanks very much for having us for it was lovely to see everyone made up. Please look after this bear.•° Sweet experience. Thank you.
Good for very young children, quite expensive though. Not as good as the shrek experience London
Excellent London experience for the family. Londoner here, so we’ve taken a while to actually visit this but I thought it was fantastic, on par or better than Disney quality attraction. It felt cute and fun and great experience for out of towners to experience something so quintessential and a wonderful day out for Londoners to remind us of how great the city is.
We visited The Paddington Bear Experience on 18 August with our two boys, aged six and seven, and paid £88. Unfortunately, the entire experience was incredibly underwhelming and certainly not worth the money. The biggest issue was how poorly the interactive activities were managed. The same family repeatedly dominated the key moments of the storyline, including finding the suitcase, discovering the missing key and operating the marmalade press. Meanwhile, our boys were largely left watching, sharing activities with other families or completing basic puzzles. In the kitchen, they couldn’t get their activity to work, and nobody returned to help them before we were rushed into the next room. There didn’t appear to be any effort to ensure that all the children had a fair opportunity to participate. The whole experience felt rushed, and even the Paddington interaction itself was surprisingly disappointing. For an attraction marketed as interactive, I expected considerably more. However, what has disappointed me even more is the customer service since our visit. I submitted a detailed complaint on the same day, after leaving the attraction. Initially, the team acknowledged that certain families can dominate activities and offered complimentary tickets to return. Unfortunately, this is a story-led experience. Once you’ve completed it, you know what happens, so repeating it simply isn’t appealing. Returning would also mean taking another day out, travelling into London with two adults and two children and potentially spending another £100 on transport. Despite explaining this, requesting a reasonable partial refund and even suggesting an alternative attraction, everything was refused. I was subsequently informed that the complaint had been reviewed by the Director of Commercial Operations, who maintained that the experience had been delivered as intended because we had entered the attraction and completed the storyline. Apparently, because no issues were recorded by staff during the session, our concerns weren’t considered sufficient to warrant a refund. I deliberately waited until we had left to complain rather than interrupting the experience in front of our children and other families. I eventually requested a telephone conversation with the Director, but almost seven weeks later, I have received no response whatsoever. For a family attraction, I find the complete lack of flexibility, accountability and customer care astonishing. I understand that not every child can participate in every activity, but there should at least be an effort to make the experience fair and enjoyable for everyone. We were genuinely looking forward to our visit, but left feeling disappointed. The way our subsequent complaint has been handled has only made matters worse. I would not recommend The Paddington Bear Experience based on either the value for money or the customer service we received.
Really great! Thought it was expensive but can now see why. Our 2year old was asleep in the buggy but we were able to take the buggy all the way round with us. Our 7 year old loved it as did my husband and I
This has put me off Paddington. The woman at the check in desk was asleep with her head in the counter, the man at the desk outside was rude and just nodded when asked if this was the way in which is through the very expensive shop. There were three actors who I cannot fault and tried their best to create something from v little. The ending where you finally get to meet Paddington was really poor. The games and seating was v old and in a poor state. Almost broke my neck on the blocks scattered over the floor. A really poor attempt and very over priced.
Took my 7 year old twins and we all loved it. The actors were great - funny and adaptable, and captured the characters they were playing really well. The scenery and effects were great. I felt a little emotional entering the Browns’ hallway and seeing the staircase with the blossom tree painted on the wall. Staff were friendly, toilets were clean, lockers are available to store bags and coats (more than can be said for many other venues).
Went late August with a 7 year old. Had heard good things.... but I think there are better experiences. Things no one bothers telling you: 1. There ARE lockers that are available to hire for £3 (for 3 hours), which were a godsend! You need your phone to pay via a QR code. 2. Toilets are downstairs before the experience begins but they can let you in to use them if you ask... BUT BE WARNED: unisex toilets. KIDS AROUND. I took my daughter and was walking out past the cubicles (thank God ahe was behind me so I grabbed her in time) to see a man with his tousers down doing a wee...DOOR WIDE OPEN! Disgusting! For safeguarding purposes, DO NOT let your kids go alone into those loos!! Disgraceful set up! 3. Shop is at entrance whilst you wait for the "train tickets" to be checked, kiddos will no doubt want you to spend! 4. Entire experience from time we "boarded" the train to the end was 55 minutes!!! MY VIEW: A total waste of money! £55 for myself and my 7 yr old for 55 minutes and all the waiting around in shop cost me a few items and then flash of bum in the loos! I wanted to ask for my money back. You are herded in to rooms in batches and it really felt like all you were were a cash cow to the organisers. Little personal intereaction, probably because the actors are all so young! The rooms you go into are BEAUTIFUL sets, excellent work who ever put those together and true to the movies. BUT the train staff at beginning were boring, their voices muffled and they looked like they really did NOT want to be there. Mrs Brown just went on and on as we all finished the "putting together painting" rather too quickly. Then it was just over so quickly and abruptly...you were still waiting for the punchline! If you want immersive, I say go to Shrek World! If you want value for money... try Brainiacs Live next yeat, now that was an EXCELLENT show!
Visited with my husband, son and grandchildren and we all enjoyed ourselves. Small group was taken round the various rooms. Without exception, the staff/actors were all marvellous with the children, and seemed to enjoy their company. Interactive experience which the kids thoroughly enjoyed. The sets were very good and corresponded with the film sets.
Our children love Paddington, so this experience felt like a perfect last minute addition to our London trip after seeing the advert on the Underground. The interactive elements at the start, such as searching for Paddington’s suitcase and answering the telephone, were charming and set the tone nicely. The train section was particularly well done and captured the magic of the story. Mrs Bird’s kitchen was another highlight, full of detail and atmosphere. The only downside was that we struggled at times to hear what Mrs Brown was saying, which took away from the moment slightly. As a family, we enjoyed completing the various challenges and the children were fully engaged throughout. However, I agree with other reviewers that the overall experience felt quite short for the price. The first part of the Windsor Street party had potential but ended up feeling a little anticlimactic. We also fell into the photo‑gift trap at the end. We paid £20 for a magnet and key ring, only to discover we had to cut and assemble them ourselves, disappointing, especially with two staff nearby doing nothing and the machine doing the printing automatically! Overall, it was something different and our children seemed to enjoy it. But it is undeniably expensive! A fun family outing, but with a few areas that could be improved to better match the cost.
Really enjoyable and well put together experience. Staff were excellent also and very engaged in the process. Fee is a little high, but it was worth it. Our 9 year old daughter loved it.
I have mixed feelings about the "experience". My husband and I took our 9 year old (my 14 year old didn't come and I'm glad as I think she'd have been bored!). When you arrive, you are in the gift shop and enter through that. You get to a "platform" and board a train. And then you go through the house, a few of the rooms, Peru and find Paddington back in the house. You don't actually see Paddington until the end where he is in the attic and it's a mechanical puppet, and then at the end there is a Paddington you can pay an extra £20 to have a photo with. In each of the rooms (3) there is a task to complete and you do this with all of the other people booked on your time slot. The actors in each of the "scenes" are great, and really, they made it, despite being far too young for the parts they are playing (Mrs brown and Mrs bird in particular). Once you come out of the house again you are in "Windsor gardens" for a street party, where you can buy over priced marmalade flavoured food and drink and the kids can play on some "free" games like coconut shy, bean bag in a bucket and do some colouring. You then see Paddington who you can have a photo with against a green screen for £20 which you can have printed off in various forms and chose various backdrops. You then exit back out through the station, where the next group are waiting to board the train and back through the gift shop. It cost us £70 for the 3 of us, I'm not so sure it was worth it for something that took us 70 minutes, but, saying that, my daughter loved it and all the younger children in our allotted time group, seemed to enjoy it.
Not worth the money, not good atmosphere, actually the staff that was on when we were leaving seemed very interactive and played the role better.
Fantastic entertainment for the kids . The tour is really well thought out and the set design is fantastic. We all thought Mrs Bird was brilliantly over the top and was definitely the star of the show. The staging is very very clever and well worth the ticket price. The gift shop offers plenty of choice but definitely London prices . Even so we would all recommend a visit.
This is weirdest thing I have been to - hot, smelly and a bit fun for kids. However not worth the money at all. Paddington is not there - just before the end the puppet says sth and when we wanted to take a pic with him we were commanded out, because paddinton pictures are meant to be taken ourside. Of course - because they wanted even more money from you 😂. We bought 2 marmelade sandwiches, 3 mini cupcakes (really mini) and an ice tea. This costed 25 pounds 😅.
Some nice effects and staging. Actors play Station assistant, Mrs Brown and Mrs Bird but are far too young for the parts they play to make it realistic. Parts scripted. Paddington doesn’t really play a part though there are options at the end to have a photograph with him. Games and colouring activities at the end. Quite expensive for what it is. Option to rent a locker for bags available for £4. Marmalade sandwiches for sale at the end.
We were 3. Were French. My grandma doesn’t speak English nor my cousins. As a French but English speaker this experience was grey and funny. There were little kid and at first we really thought it would be boring as hell but guess what ? It wasn’t. The animation were great and funny. Personally I loved when we were in the jungle or at the end when we hugged paddington. The actors were really in they’re role and it was very nice.
I wanted to take my 6yr old granddaughter for a special visit to London. I chose this experience with the London theatre group children’s free ticket deal. We arrived early and were delighted they could fit us into an earlier time slot. The group size was good but with more adults than children. Two of the actors were excellent however the Scottish accent of Mrs Bird was extremely difficult to understand. The children didn’t reply to any of her questions and instructions were rushed and difficult to follow. I had no idea of what we were supposed to do with a few switches on the side of a fridge whilst others got to build a cake or mend plumbing pipes. The hallway introduction and jungle were good also the pantry but other parts seemed a little rushed so as to get as many groups through as possible. The train would have been better if we could have seen Paddington and the passing views had been more realistic. No lovely smells as mentioned in other reviews, a mechanical Paddington near the end disappointing as was the adult sized Paddington in the play area. My granddaughter said ‘oh it was a person dressed up because I could feel their hand’. Refreshments expensive, toilet facilities clean, quite a long wait for the entry wristband as only one kiosk. Maybe to have seen Paddington peeping in through a window or running up the stairs would have added so much more. I’m pleased not to have paid full price of £88 for 1 pensioner and 1 six year old, even £44 seemed a little high.
Good overall experience with actors who get kids involved. The story was a little hard for younger kids to follow but I don't think they minded! Only downside was that it was a very slow start so wouldn't bother arriving any earlier than bang on your slot time. First your held in the shop at your slot time, then put in queue then held downstairs for another 10mins then it actually begins! Would recommend the attraction if you've got any Paddington fans in the family.
3 adults and 1 kid aged 9. Slow start but turned out very entertaining. Gift shop expensive but check for any deals.
I was very excited to visit the Paddington Bear experience because my Autistic child loves Paddington bear. The beginning of the tour the actors were brilliant until we got to the Peruvian Jungle where the girl actor with dark hair straight away told me son off telling him "Don't touch that" she said absolutely nothing to the other child touching the displays. All my child did was to stroke a leaf and she jumped down his throat. My child was wearing a Lanyard and I specifically immediately told her my child is autistic at which point she looked away and said nothing. It's such a shame that this one member of staff ruined it when the others were so great. As a parent if a disabled child I do not recommend this experience for disabled families because of the rude and unkind member of staff in the Peruvian area.
Best for those with kids or who loved Paddington growing up. Don’t expect too much as an adult, but the games in each room were fun for the kids. It was a worthwhile experience for the family.
Very well organised throughout. High standard of set and props and just as entertaining for adults as for children. I feel even those who are not strictly Paddington fans would enjoy this attraction.
Extremely disappointing. Supposed to be a Paddington Bear experience but you don't actually get to see him until right at the end and then it's only a photo opportunity behind a screen for an extra £20. Not really an experience if you don't see the main character is it? As other people have said it's a few rooms with actors and some puzzles to do, all building up to marmalade day party which ends up being a completely empty street scene with an uninspiring cafe at the far end. Where is the so called party?? All in all pretty poor all round and a huge disappointment. Seriously don't bother!
I love it it was good and the experience was the best thing to visit
Overall quute good. Kids will love it . Bit of an anticlimax with the party day . Staff not really interacting . Free photos with Paddington bear or you could pay for greenscreen ones . Family of 4 is going to set you back £136 for 2 hours
Very interactive, you’re guided in a quest to prepare for Marmalade Day! You move from room to room and there are challenges for the children in each room including making marmalade in darkest Peru. You end by meeting Paddington and celebrating Marmalade Day in the Windsor Gardens neighborhood. So well done and congratulations to all the characters in each of the rooms. A lot of fun!
Absolutely fantastic! Worth every penny. Our 3 yr old was beside himself with excitement. We had a close call with the loos even though he had gone just before, there is no access or certainly none that are visible once you go through "the platform" in your group until the end (and there are people in character you dont want to disturb or change the experience for others in the group). The actors were brilliant, the sets were brilliant. All in all we loved it. 3 days later and our son is still describing the story line and activities.
First time visit with young children. Easy to find, everything is in same path as London eye, sea life, London dungeon, shrek etc. Quite pricey so expectations were high. Have to go through gift shop to go in, was in small space so probably not the best idea. Other than well organised and taken into initial train ‘ride’ which is ok but more visual one than actual. There afterwards you are taken into various themed rooms with characters from the series. To the credit of staff, they do a good job and the children seemed occupied and entertained enough. The problem i had was most of the activities involved physical items, rather than something immersive or use of modern technology. For the price i expected more. At the end there is a nice small cafe with activity/play area for the kids with photo opportunity with Paddington himself. Then on way back out you hit the same gift shop though to be fair it has some decent items at a decent price. Overall fans of Paddington will enjoy it. As will younger children. But cant see the appeal for older children. Also probably wont visit again (as we have done for other attractions).
Really fun visit with my daughter in law and 2 grandsons ages 2 and 4. 4 year old was a little scared of the dark scenes but the interactive activities were fun and enjoyed by all.
It was a good visit but if you are in any way claustrophobic, you may wish to tell a member of staff particularly when going into the ‘pantry’ off the kitchen. It gave off the impression of being ‘locked in’ as it was quite dark too. Due to the number of other people also within the experience, I felt quite anxious, so I tried the doors that I could feel but they didn’t open! Just something to consider!
The experience starts off great. The train journey is brilliant, mainly due to the lady actor who greets you. Then you move on a see some of the stories main characters. I won't spoil anymore. There is one part where you meet two characters that aren't in the books or TV show. Which myself and my kids found weird. Why not just use another character from the stories? Mr Brown? Mr Curry? The sets are amazing and the merch in on point. The food situation is dire. Expensive with very limited choices. They not cater for anyone with allergies and everything has a cross contamination warning, but you have to ask about it as no allergy signs are in place. So pack lunches by the Thames is a good idea.
The whole experience was really good however me and my son was very unhappy that you didn’t actually get to meet Paddington at the end unless you had a photo with him that would have cost £20 on top of what you have already spent on the tickets to enjoy the experience. We saw Paddington once at the end which was a stillcharacter an the party at the end Paddington was behind a screened area where you had to have a paid photo with him, not very good for an ending! Photos should be free at the end for the cost of it and my son was very dissatisfied!
We went without being accompanied by any small people! Still loved it! Very creative and colourful. Great fun! The only disappointment was that the Paddington that you met at the end of the tour is adult size - but it probably has to be that way with hiring staff!
We went with our 3 year old & all enjoyed the experience as different activities/sensory experiences throughout but perhaps older children (maybe >6years) may not enjoy it as much unless they were true Paddington fans. We went on a weekday afternoon during term time so not busy at all which is nice in some respects but feel the atmosphere would have been less awkward with a few more people or if we went with friends. The main disappointment was the marmalade sandwich! For the simplicity & the price I would expect fresh tasting bread but it was stale round the edges, presumably due to the way it is packaged as not airtight. I am all for being more eco but think this needs to be improved.
Incredibly over priced for what it is I'm afraid! There was a lot of standing around waiting and putting together some puzzles... I wasn't even aware the end was supposed to be a party until reading other reviews! The staff were very lovely and helpful and the Paddington mascot at the end was fab. It's a shame everything was incredibly overpriced (£20 for a digital photo!) when the tickets cost so much
A wonderful day out! Our toddler loved this, and so too did we adults. The staff were really engaging, the experience interactive and immersive. There's a steam train, puzzles, and even a trip to Peru. Special mention to Mrs. Brown, who very quickly noticed that our son needed encouragement to get involved, and so gave him his own jigsaw to solve - it really brought him out of his shell.
If you are a Paddington fan - then this is a must. The experience is probably just over an hour - but there is a cafe with activities and things for kiddies to do at the end which makes it longer. It was well thought out, looked just like the films/TV show and the actors were fantastic.
We recently visited the Paddington Bear Experience and overall really enjoyed it. That said, the start of the tour was quite confusing. Although we arrived 15 minutes early as instructed, the group before us was still waiting to go through, and there was no staff managing the queue or guiding people. Several guests in front of us, who were also on our tour, were turned away despite arriving on time. The organisation at the entrance could definitely use some improvement. The train conductor was difficult to hear, which made it hard to follow along, although the train itself was lovely. The rooms throughout the tour are wonderfully designed, making you feel truly immersed in the story, and the actors were excellent. One small drawback is that the experience builds up to the marmalade festival, but the festival itself isn’t very pronounced at the end. Adding some actors or music to create more of a festival atmosphere would really enhance the finale. There is a small cafe at the end, which I didn’t find massively overpriced considering it’s a tourist hotspot. The gift shop was well stocked, but the only bags available for your purchases are ones you have to buy separately, with the cheapest being £9. Overall, it’s a fantastic experience, just a few tweaks at the start and a more engaging ending would make it perfect.
Our 8 year old granddaughter had a great time as did I, but two things let it down the loud music in the rooms was to loud to hearing the actors who were very good was very difficult The second thing was the disappointing end, all the way through it had built up to Marmalade day which was a damp squid just an empty street.
Really charming and the actors in every room were brilliant. Nothing like we expected. Great fun for adults and children. Very creative and nice there was something to do in every room.
Amazing staff. We had a nightmare when we arrived and my son was sick. The staff were so helpful even though they were so busy. Half the family were able to carry on and absolutely loved the experience. Would highly recommend to all Paddington fans. Cannot wait to go back
Absolutely excellent! This is a fun and because of small group sizes, a nice personal experience. We were a group of 4 adults and a little concerned it may be more of a children’s event and whilst perhaps it is more child focused, it was equally fun for adults and children alike. For any fan of Paddington it is a ‘must do’ event. The staff and organisers are absolutely excellent and their flair and enthusiasm is outstanding. I’m sure they must go home very tired each night but what they put into this show every day is what makes it amazing!!
A great interactive experience that had us all engaged and smiling. Meeting the different characters and doing the various activities was wholesome and fun. However, the whole story line was leading up to the big marmalade festival, and the end result was a little disappointing if I’m honest!? When entering the festival, apart from music, there wasn’t a carnival type atmosphere. There wasn’t much acknowledgement of the story that had just preceded? When we went to meet Paddington, he had to go off for ‘a marmalade break’. So we had to come back later. The few games they had gave us 2 minutes of enjoyment, and after our picture with Paddington, we left, as there wasn’t much more to do. Overall, a fun time out for our 7 yr old, but lacking at the end.
I'm sorry to say that my visit with my 4-year-old grandson yesterday left us both uninspired. The actors were good and enthusiastic but I felt there was too much dialogue to follow (all said rather quickly), especially for little ones, it would all go over there heads. From the look on other people's faces, I think a lot of visitors wondered what was going on most of the time. I felt the whole thing was rather disjointed to be honest. It left us disappointed from the start that Paddington Bear had always just dashed off to another room so we didn't see him until the very end. It would be much more fun if he was present from the outset and in the rooms with us, after all it's Paddington every is there to see. A free marmalade sandwich at the end would be such a treat and make everyone feel special. It seems rather greedy charging quite a lot of money for one after the ticket prices are so high. I went away feeling it was more about making a profit than giving visitors a good experience.
Visited on 1 January. Went with my wife, daughter and son in law and 3 grandsons under 6. In fact it was booked by my daughter for youngest grandsons birthday. Reviews I had read before were mixed so didn’t know what to expect. But the 12:15 tour we booked for was great. Oldest grandson loved the initial train trip. All the room experiences and support staff were great. Enjoyed watching the 2 older boys move a sink plug through piping with a magnet. The snow shower in the street scene was unexpected and got everyone dancing. I have to say as a Grandad I really enjoyed it as did the rest of the family.
Really enjoyed our trip to Paddington Bear Experience in London. It's quite clever how they've set it all out. We really liked the sitting room and the actors did a great job. One thing that could have been better was the end. When we were making marmalade, it was super short and rushed. Before we knew it we were in the market Street having a party and considering how much time and story telling was given to the other parts, the end let it down. You will feel a bit like you're being run through the stages and it's clear they have a time limit and it's quite commercial but this is to be expected nowadays I suppose. "Mrs Brown" needed to slow down quite a lot but she was great in character.
