Got a 1 day pass for myself and the kids. It was a last minute morning decision. Too much small print. Wasted soooooo much time getting to places only to be turned away because they were booked solid. Getting around on the Big Bus takes getting used to. London pass app is basic. Kept having to switch between Google Maps, London Pass, and Big Bus app to figure out how to get from one place to another. Not worth it!!!!! Complete waste of time and money. Would NOT recommend.

This is the first time that we used a City Pass, and it really turned out to be a great option for us! We used the Big Bus tour that was included as part of the City Pass as our main form of transportation. We visited the London Eye and really enjoyed the views with the river and sights. It’s a cool point of view. We enjoyed Tower of London, as the Beefeaters steal the show with their comedic commentary while weaving in history. We also visited St. Paul's Cathedral. Just those handful of items saved us money versus purchasing the tours/activities individually, and had we had more time, we could have certainly done other tours/activities with further cost savings. October was a great time to visit and put the pass to good use.
I don't get the negative reviews on this. This is absolutely fantastic and great recommendation for anyone in London for 3-4 days or more. We are a family of 4, including two toddlers and were in London for almost a week. London Pass have us great flexibility to choose our own program. Covers almost everything we wanted, we were able to do London Eye, Tower Bridge, skip the queue in Natural History Museum, even a half day trip to Stonehenge among others (DO NOT MISS FRAMELESS). Throw in a lunch at HRC, dinner at Bricklane, some high teas and you have recovered more than you spent already. There was still a lot more we wanted and could do if we had time. Do note that the number of days should be consecutive, starting from the first use. This is something that people don't read earlier and don't get. For short 1-2 day trip I am not sure of the value and is upto individual calculations. For multiple days like we did, no question this is great and must have. Highly recommended.
We visited many of the attractions that were offered and used the Hop-on-Hop-off bus. I found it to be a really good value and we saved money by using the 2 day pass. If we were to book the 7 attractions and paid separately we would have paid a lot more. You can also reserve your spot for the attraction on the App.
Don't travel with family for best experience - if you want your money's worth you have to be ready to travel for sport, I definitely made my trip worth solo.
No brainer, good value for money. We booked the 4-day pass and planned our itinerary around it, using it on four consecutive days to hit the major sights back-to-back. The app was easy to use, and every attraction we visited accepted the pass without issue. We also got a 10% discount at booking, and overall we're fairly certain we saved around $200 per person. Didn't use it for any food perks, but for attractions alone it's well worth it. You need to plan your route in advance so consecutive-day use lines up with opening hours and availability.
The app kept unlinking my pass meaning I could not use it more than half the time I was in London. Support is almost non existent. London Eye and Westminster Abbey will not accept a screenshot of your QR code either. I was turned away at both. Finally got through to customer services when I had got home after my holiday and they have given me a free 1 day pass. I live over 200 miles away from London and visit less than once a year… I spent £180 and feel thoroughly ripped off. Thanks Go City…
Incredible value & experience using the Go City, so glad I foudn them on Viator! Go City app to help me book reservations like at the London Eye & Madame Tussauds, app also helped me build our itinerary and navigate between attractions while exploring the city. Can't wait to use Go CIty again on another vacation!
Terrible experience. This pass is a scam. You can’t actually access the sites they claim you can. I tried chatting for help, but they would not book. Don’t waste your money.
Used the London Pass for a 4-day family trip and it was fantastic. We managed to visit the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, St. Paul's Cathedral, Tower Bridge, Kensington Palace, and still had time for the Hop-On Hop-Off bus to get around. Compared to buying tickets separately, we easily saved over £100 for the two of us. The Go City app made planning straightforward and helped us avoid wasting time on travel. The digital pass worked seamlessly at entry point.
I had an absolute blast using the Go City pass on my trip to London last month! It was easy to use and I saved so much money on my tours!
The London pass was an incredible addition to our trip. The pass was easy to use and I saved a lot of money and was able to do so much! I will absolutely use this product again.
My wife and I bought the London Pass for a few days in London and, looking back, I’m really glad we did. I wasn’t completely convinced before the trip as I wasn’t sure we’d actually get our money’s worth, but we ended up using it loads. It gave us a bit of freedom to just wander and decide what to visit without thinking about ticket prices every time. Some places we probably wouldn’t have bothered with ended up being real highlights. It also made the whole trip feel a lot more relaxed. It was one of those things that just made the whole experience easier from start to finish. We saw so much, had a brilliant few days together, and the pass was a big part of that. I’d definitely use it again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting London.
The London Pass is such a great value pass! We were able to visit so many attractions during our long weekend in London utilizing the pass.
In March certain activities close earlier, this didn’t bother us but you can’t fit in as many activities in one day.
It wasn't worth it at all. You can't spend enough meaningful time at each place even if you could teleport to make it worthwhile. And many of the things they claim credit for providing admission to are free! British Museum, National Gallery, Imperial War Museum London...on and on. Some reviews tagged the Churchill War Rooms which I don't believe this covers.
Do not take the London pass if you already have a precise view in advance of what you want to visit: you pay a fortune and you have to queue everything for hours as if you had no ticket, and even worse, in places where you have to book a slot in advance it’s not possible to do so with the London pass and depending on the availability you might even not get in. The London pass is, in my view, a scam destined to ripp of tourists.
We could not use the London Pass for the full 3 days that we paid for. On the morning of the third day the Westminister Abby wouldn't accept it. Better off just paying for what you use as plans change.
We booked Shard, Tower bridge. Brit music tour, London eye, Buckingham Palace. We walked into St Paul’s, Globe, Westminster abbey, uber boat no issues or wait.
It is not worth the price. You can get things cheaper with individual tickets. Many items are even free …and they advertise like it costs. Just not worth it
SCAM! Flew over 4000 miles, purchased the London pass PLUS for $400. Because their reservation system was not working, we were unable to reserve and see London sites like The Chard, London eye, Madame Tussauds - any attraction that required a reservation! Since then customer service has ignored me and when they do reply they just say no refund! Crooks!!!! Do NOT buy this!!!
Buyer beware: While we found the pass to be convenient, we weren't able to fully use it due to the fine print. One of our top interests was Westminster Abbey, but you can't use the pass for a ticket until the afternoon...if tickets are still available. We couldn't risk it since we're only in London a brief time so we had to purchase tickets separately to ensure we could get into the Abbey. I felt a bit tricked by this since the details aren't disclosed in the header info on the app.
TL;DR It's not worth the money I bought the London Pass + for my family, our first trip to London. It's not worth it. We could have done the same thing, with the same or more free time (because of Big Bus) for less money. Something in me told me something was wrong with this product, even I thought to cancel it weeks before the trip. I should have done that. Although from what I've read, it's a long and difficult process. PS: Big Bus (included in the "plus") was terrible.
A Total Rip-Off – Avoid the London Pass at All Costs! I rarely write reviews, but after getting burned by the 'London Pass', I felt compelled to warn others. What a complete scam this product is! First off, the idea of a "skip-the-line" experience is laughable. For most attractions, the "skip-the-line" means nothing more than standing in a separate queue that's just as long, if not longer, than the regular one. And let’s not even get into the fact that half the attractions listed were either closed or had such limited hours that you could barely make it to any of them. The pass touts "access" to a wide variety of sights, but most of those are either outdated, irrelevant, or in ridiculously inconvenient locations. Next, the 'cost' It's a total joke for what you actually get. You're promised savings, but once you start visiting the attractions, you realize that many of them offer discounts or entry at the same price you’d pay on your own, without the need for this so-called "pass." Not only that, but you waste a lot of time traveling from one place to another, trying to find locations that accept the pass, which isn't as easy as they make it sound. You’re better off just buying tickets individually. Then, there's the 'customer service'. I had a few questions about the pass, and trying to get an answer was like pulling teeth. I called and emailed multiple times before I got any response, and even then, it was a generic, unhelpful answer that didn’t address my issue at all. And the cherry on top? They make the process of 'cancelling' or getting a refund an absolute nightmare. The fine print is endless, and once you're locked in, you're basically stuck. If you think you'll get your money back, think again. No matter how hard you try you won't get a penny from them In short, the 'London Pass' is a total rip-off. Save your time, money, and energy. There are far better ways to explore London without falling into this trap.
We (5 of us) bought a 2 day pass. Used one day, then we couldn't use it again as it had expired. They told us in the terms that it had to be used consecutive days. This is brutal. If I buy a 2 day pass, I should be able to use it when I want! This is something that should be stated upfront not buried in their terms. So upset, this cost us a lot! Not happy with them at all.
Am so not sure of what to do and there is little in the way if explanation for a beginner. And London transit sucks for people who don't know the system.
We did the London City Pass Plus and for one day and it was awesome! We were able to schedule the Eye, Shard, tower and so much more the same day we purchased it. It is a bit pricey but my only regret was that we didn’t plan our itinerary properly and missed out on taking full advantage of the opportunity and probably should have made it for two days. Make sure to use the hop on off bus tour that is included to navigate your attractions.
Garbage. Impossible to access tickets for and activities, Way overpriced, this is so bloody frustrating!!!
SCAM ALERT - I had a deeply frustrating experience with this pass. The scheduling system is flawed to the point where I was forced to skip or rush through several attractions. Shockingly, their records even showed me booked at two places simultaneously—clearly impossible and unacceptable. Although I paid for GDP 327 worth of access, I was only able to realistically use about GDP 195 due to these scheduling conflicts. The advertising is misleading, and the planning tools are completely unreliable. This pass caused more stress than convenience. I would not recommend it to anyone.
It was convenient to use, and included just about everything you'd want to see. The only thing we didn't like was the hop on hop off bus It was hard to find where the bus stops. They used a company called Big Bus Tours. There were other bus companies that came more frequently. The Uber Thames was great. We also went up in the London Eye, the Shard (amazing views from both). We visited Westminster Abbey & the Tower of London.
What do you expect from a business who has a service mindset? They will send your pass promptly after you pay. The London Pass is different, first they take the money (very prompt), then they verify your email identity, so that they can send you the pass , but you will never receive that email, and you wait and chat with support team and wait and chat and ....
I purchased the London Pass by Go City with the trust that their “Savings Guarantee” would ensure value or a refund. However, what they don’t clearly tell you upfront is that you must visit at least 3 attractions per day to be eligible for that refund — something I only found out after asking for one. I only managed to use the pass once due to limited time, and when I asked about the refund guarantee, the chatbot and support team simply pointed to hidden terms buried in the website. At no point during or immediately after purchase was I informed of these conditions. As a consumer, I feel misled and taken advantage of. Had I known the 3-attraction-per-day rule, I would have made better use of the pass — or not purchased it at all. I’ve since reached out via email but was brushed off by customer service. It’s disappointing, especially since the whole marketing of the London Pass revolves around “risk-free savings.” If Go City values its customers and brand reputation, I hope management will review this policy and how it is communicated. I’m now considering raising this issue through UK consumer protection channels, as I believe in fair treatment for all paying customers.
Wasn’t sure if this would be worth the money, but it definitely was! easy check-in for all attractions and the tour for the guards was amazing purchased a three day pass, which gave us time to mix and match, depending on how long we spent.
This pass was a great deal. I did so many items from it. I was there 4 days which helped me get my moneys worth (incremental cost goes down as you add days). The app was so easy to use. I picked which things I wanted to do and then went to the map view to group them by location each day. I had some reservations after some of the negative reviews on Tripadvisor. These are my two thoughts on the negative reviews: 1) If you plan to only do a few things but spend lots of time visiting pubs and eating great food, then you likely won't get your moneys worth. 2) Sometimes things are difficult to get in, but it has nothing to do with the London Pass. Westminster Abby is closed on Sunday - with or without the pass. One time I couldn't get on a boat because it was full and had to wait for the next one. This has nothing to do with the pass. I never experienced a single issue purely due to having the pass. People were very used to it and accepted it without problem.
Saved 25% by using the 2 day pass. Visited 6 attractions/activities which made it worth while. Able to get a fair bit done in 2 days. London pass gives some discounts at some of the merch stores. Downside is that did not include things such as Westminster Palace (parliament) or Churchill War Rooms.
The views were amazing. We took so many photos. We didn't spend time on the queues. I believe we wouldn't have enjoyed our stay in London as much if it weren't for the pass. It gave as easy access to many attractions and saved us a lot of time and money. I just wish they'd include more tours like the sea life aquarium, london dungeon and Shrek.
So many things to do. There's no way to see everything offered in the 3 days that we were there. We were able to plan our day and route in advance to make the most of it.
I found it to be a waste of money. The pass does say if the exhibit is busy you may be asked to join a later group, but that happened almost everywhere which made it nearly impossible to plan. Two exhibits would only allow pass holders to enter on the afternoon tour but their website doesn’t say this, you just have to get there and find out. Most of the major attractions are so busy that if it indicates it’s generally a one-hour tour, you need to plan for much longer due to long queues and the amount of people inside made the tours take longer. This is not in itself bad as it’s part of sight-seeing but what is bad is that you have a limited time, in our case we had three days, to go to the exhibits so it’s impossible because you can’t plan. This is mainly for places like Westminster Abbey, Tower of London, Kensington Palace, etc., that do not allow reserved entrance times. I ended up buying us tickets for the Abbey and Hampton Court Palace because we were not able to get in with times that fit our short three-day window. The Abbey was closed on the 12th and 14th of May so the 13th was the only option but they wouldn’t allow us entry until the afternoon. My opinion was that it was a huge waste of money. It would have been better to buy the tickets online before hand to guarantee a spot.
It really subsidised the cost of visiting the attractions that I was keen on. The process of using was very smooth and the variety of attractions was also good. In two days time I could visit - Westminster Abbey, Tower of London, St Paul's Cathedral, Royal Albert Hall tour, Tower Bridge tour. Other benefits used - Uber Boats and a walking tour. Couple of points to keep in mind- some attarctions turn you away if the footfall is high to accomadate their regular customers. This happened to me at Wesminster Abbey, and with a limit on the time that you have it really can spoil your plans. You cannot book the attarctions in advance to assure availability on the day of visit. Uber boats also prioritises regular customers in rush hours.
The scenery is beautiful, and it is easy to make a film. I highly recommend everyone to go there. This trip is very unforgettable for me.
Buyer beware. Research which attractions are free to enter before putting them on your pass. We wanted to see the Grenwich Royal Observatory and so chose to include the museums at the bottom of the hill. City pass says they are £6 to enter. They are FREE. I included Jewel Tower to my Tower of London attraction, thinking it was a separate entrance fee as it was listed as a separate entity. So of my 5 choices for seeing sites on my one day pass, 2 of them were completely unnecessary. I could have chosen 2 other attractions instead.
We were able to squeeze in uber boat, Westminster, St. Paul, Tower of London. We ran out of time. But could have squeezed in one more. We had planets of credits remaining. The kids were exhausted but we saved about $100. Kids under 4 free at most places. Also they offer 10% off with promo.
I’d give it a 5 but after purchasing, one of the attractions was removed from the Pass. If you don’t buy it too far in advance, this isn’t an issue.
We bought it for the trip to London, because I saw a lot of advertisement and we thought it could be useful as it seems like a free pass to all attractions. But apparently not! 1. It is not flexible! Some attractions require you reserve a time slot, but it is not very clear to the customer that there is a 15mins amendment window. If you miss it, it is considered as a no show, and you cannot use it on the next day. And they do nothing to help you. The customer service is also not very efficient. It took us 1.5 hrs to communicate with them, and to get a “no”. 2. You need to carefully plan your trip, otherwise, it will not worth it. For our trip at London, many attractions take much longer time than we expected. So it is a quite stretch to visit all included attractions to get it worth it. My recommendation: unless you are very sure you can make it worth it, don’t bother to buy it
I had a horrible experience with the London City pass. I Showed up to the hop on hop Off night bus and they didnt accept my pass because the night tour was not included which was not stated on the website. I Went on the bus anyways and printed out the receipt and wanted to get the 78 pounds back that i paied. Unfortunately go city claims that the they did not say that the night tour is included. I had several calls with the team which were all really disappointing. They just repeat themselves and wanted to give me 10% after 7 calls. You also get 10% when you click on the website I would not recommend the pass to anyone and would never buy one again!!!
This does not save you money and cannot get a response from the customer service. I have sent many emails and chatted with representatives with NO refund / credits issued. The London Pass website states that you get a guarantee / refund if you do not save money. Sounds good however they do NOT respond / issue a refund. This has been a very frustrating experience. I did not want to give any company one star rating without giving them the ability to make things right. Unfortunately, the customer service / lack of service is terrible. The London Eye was closed for restoration, as well as the arch. Many venues closed early due to the time of the year. If it was a high tourist time the pass would be good to skip the lines. In my case the London Pass actually cost me more money than the individual admission would have cost.
Not all of the attractions on the list are available anytime. Scheduling is a must and transferring the pass to the relevant app is not as easy as it should be.
Still waiting for refund from the Covid lockdown years in Australia . Do not use ! They made up so many excuses and as Melbourne was the longest lockdown in the world we were unable to travel or use their one year extension!
when we tried to use our London Pass we were unable to use it as we didnt have all the correct paperwork. we had 3 different guys trying to figure it out at the hop on hop off bus station. I would like to know how to get a refund. Iam travelling again in April 2025 but Iam a bit hessitant to use you again if I don't get a refund. Because we didn't have the correct paperwork we had to pay 76 pounds to do only 3 things.
Is not enough time in London to catch the savings that they said. We just visit 3 attractions per day. I prefer for the next time, pay on each atraction
