Wonderful talk and walk through of the park and gardens. The tea is lovely. Wouldn’t recommend for kids under the age of 6. This is more of an adult activity with lots of history. Absolutely wonderful experience. Doug was our guide and he was just wealth of knowledge. The other party in our group ended up canceling, so my husband and I had a private tour and it was just unbelievable. Doug was so friendly and new all the answers to our questions. We had excellent weather, which made the experience even better. Would highly recommend this tour. Worth every penny. We did the palace tour add on and that was truly worth it!

Reviews
The guide just walks through the park for an hour and then lets you go. No significant information was shared. Nice enough guy, just thought their would be a bit more historical information. It felt like being walked like a dog
It was an amazing experience! Paul, who led the tour, was exceptional. Having personally managed over 50 teachers and lecturers at college and university level, I was particularly impressed by Paul’s approach. The way he delivered the tour, supported everyone, and ensured that every participant felt involved was excellent. Well done. His depth of knowledge, engaging delivery, and wonderful sense of humour made the entire experience thoroughly enjoyable and worth every penny. Thank you, Paul, for such a memorable experience. Your passion and professionalism truly made the difference! I could listen to you all day.
Wonderful tour through the park! Thoroughly enjoyed Paul’s history stories and humor! Tea time at the end was lovely too
Even in the rain, this was a five star tour. Our guide Paul led us beautifully through Kensington Gardens, with stops at all the beautiful and meaningful places. He was a great story teller, with a wonderful sense of humor. Our group was small, with two other couples and a single person, besides the two of us. Paul took the time to get to know everyone individually and make sure everyone was comfortable. The afternoon tea was delightful, with great food and tea in a beautiful setting. We added on the entrance to the Kensington Palace Museum, which was also very interesting. I'd highly recommend doing both. There is quite a bit of walking so comfortable shoes are a must. And for us, so was our rain gear! This was a great day and highly recommend this tour.
Great experience and knowledgeable guide. It was a bucket list door us to visit Kensington palace and was topped off by the high tea
Our guide was Lewis. He was such a good person, very polite and funny. Of course he was well informed and shared his knowledge. The tour was entertaining and informative.
Very knowledgeable tour guide. The history of Kensington is amazing and high tea was delicious. Must do!
We really enjoyed our guided tour with Doug. He not only had encyclopedic knowledge of the park, he was able to tailor the tour to areas we had yet to explore. It's a great park. A great tour. A great day!
Paul was impressive, funny and with surprisingly cultural knowledge
This was a walking tour of the park before your high tea. Doug was personable and knowledgeable. High Tea was an authentic English experience. Tour of the palace was self guided with audio and headphones provided.
It’s historically informative and a nice casual walk around the park near the castle. Our guide Lewis didn’t rush anyone which was nice.
Very delicate pastry 🎂 and delicious sandwiches the warm tea 🍵 was pleasant. The service very nice
Excellent and we had a very knowledgeable warm & friendly guide Doug. I received very clear instructions for our meeting point. Lucky for us it was just the 2 of us and our guide. Doug took us on a very leisurely & easy stroll into & around the lake at Kensington gdns then around the private garden where Princess Diana's statue is located. He gave us a very comprehensive commentary of the history of Kensington Palace including the years Princess Diana & her family lived there. Doug was happy to take photos of us. He also spent a little time with us at our High tea in the Orangery near to Kensington Palace giving us some more history of the Orangery. The High tea & service was top notch. We both thoroughly enjoyed this tour. It was expensive in NZ dollars but was a truly unique experience.
Fantastic trip with Louis! Very informative. Beautiful day.
Our tour guide Simon was fantastic. His stories were great and very knowledgeable. Couldn’t have asked for more.
Simon is an excellent guide. He is extremely knowledgeable with wonderful stories of the royals, gardens & waterfowl. Absolute delight!
Simon was fabulous! Make the request.
Lovely food, interesting tour with witty & knowledgeable guide Paul. The palace entry after was definitely worth doing.
Tour guide (Simon) was very kind, extremely knowledgeable and delight to have as our guide. With his extensive history of England and Kensington Gardens he made an our experience exceptional!
Simon was incredible - so informative and fun!
Really enjoyable walk with historical narrative. Most enjoyable.
Our tour guide was very informative! We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend the tour to other travelers!
We could not find our guide so we went to the Orangery to see if we could meet up. The server at the Orangery texted the guide and they said they already left and we couldn’t meet them somewhere. Not sure why they couldn’t tell us someplace to meet but we were able to have tea at the Orangery.
Lovely tour of the gardens and tea after.
Paul is a fantastic guide. He shared a lot of knowledge about the history of the gardens, sculptured and royal family as we strolled around the grounds. He also lead us to The Orangery for our afternoon tea.
Great talk and walk around the gardens before tea. We had a later tea time and that pushed our ability to see the palace before it closed. The castle tour add-on was honestly not as interesting as I'd have thought. The tea was very nice.
Paul was an exceptional guide! He was extremely knowledgeable and pleasant. I learned a lot about the history. He was kind enough to offer to take photos at key places, like sculptures and fountains. Bravo!
Great guide in Paul with interesting information on history surrounding the Royals and a fun personality. The tea experience lovely. Then we did palace tour and enjoyed it.
It was an incredible experience and our guide Paul was very knowledgeable and patient, which was appreciated. The high tea was delicious and the palace itself was stunning, Would highly recommend.
There is a bit of walking but worth the ending at tea. Guide was very understanding and the Orangery was excellent
We loved our walk through Kensington Gardens. Doug was very informative and lively. The setting in the Orangerie was very nice. We sat by a window, and they opened it up to give us a fresh breeze. It was beautiful. The food was not as I would expect for Kensington High Tea. The tea I ordered was a chai vanilla and it was delicious. No one came by to see if we wanted more hot water or tea. The tea sandwiches, and deserts were marginal. So in summery, the walk was great, the setting was nice, but the tea was ok.
Very pleasant experience. The tea & accouterments were excellent. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Honestly would have preferred a shorter walk in the park, but was still a great tour.
As a first time traveler to London, we couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to this city’s rich history, particularly the royals. Doug, our guide, was outstanding. His enthusiasm for sharing his knowledge about Kensington Palace was obvious and was able to draw us in.
Great activity even if you're traveling solo like I was, and whether rain or shine. Doug was a great guide. Be prepared to get your steps in. The walk was great. Can't miss out on Afternoon Tea when visiting London.
Lovely Afternoon around Kensington Gardens with Doug. Very informative, friendly and a fantastic tour guide. I would highly encourage doing this experience
The whole experience was wonderful. Doug was an excellent tour guide and our tea service was lovely.
We actually picked this tour primarily for the High Tea but my family and I ended up loving the garden tour notwithstanding the heat waves' impact on the grass, etc. Our guide Barbara was very patient with our group's relentless photo taking. The afternoon tea at the Orangery following the tour of the gardens was very welcomed and enjoyable.
Started with a walk through the Kensington gardens. Our tour guide Paul was incredible so glad we had such an amazing guide. Then stopped for tea which was incredible great views great staff and even better tea and sweets! We ended up doing the tour of the palace as well which was amazing to walk through as well. Could not recommend this experience enough!
The guide was splendid, great sense of humour + knowledge ! Highly recommend!
Doug was a great guide! Very friendly and knowledgeable, he shared loads of interesting information about the gardens, place and London in general. He did a great job cultivating a friendly environment and we had a lovely time at tea with the other members of the tour.
The tour is exactly as advertised. Our guide Doug was sweet and informative. Our trip culminated at the orangery for High Tea. We thoroughly enjoyed!
Very knowledgeable guide and a fun tour
Simon was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and did an awesome job!
If you are looking for an authentic, classic High Tea experience in London, this is an absolute must-do. Simon was an exceptional host and guide—his deep knowledge of royal history, the palace grounds, and the origin of afternoon tea elevated the whole afternoon. The setting at Kensington Palace Gardens was stunning, and the tea service itself was spectacular: fresh, warm scones with clotted cream, delicious finger sandwiches, and exquisite pastries. Simon’s warmth, charm, and attention to detail made us feel like royalty. Couldn't recommend this enough!
Simon is an absolute rockstar of a tour guide! His depth of historical knowledge is truly impressive, but what really sets him apart is his incredible storytelling ability. He brought centuries of history to life, seamlessly guiding us through all the dramatic, scandalous, and fascinating antics of the monarchy with unmatched wit and charm. If you have the chance to book a tour with Simon, do not hesitate—he made the entire experience unforgettable!
Well paced and highly informative
Informative. Fun. Doug (our guide) was great. Provided some royal history. Recent history. Facts about trees and statues. Tea was fabulous and had gluten free options
The tour was well organized. Our guide met us near the tube station. It was easy to locate him. We walked through the garden and he gave excellent commentary throughout our visit. We were scheduled for tea and made sure we were in the right place. He verified out Palace entry tickets to make sure we had the correct ticket.
Portia Booroff was an exceptional tour guide, offering a wealth of information while maintaining a warm and friendly demeanor. She truly created a VIP experience that we highly recommend. It was a delightful day for a stroll in the park, during which she shared extensive historical insights. The high tea experience was remarkable, characterized by its elegance and exquisite flavors.
